Chapter 2: Prologue

"The worlds are in constant flux. They shift and change like an endless dream. Sett Ra's defeat should've marked our liberation of his rule of the Second World. Instead, it heralded a new struggle for independence."

In the Wasteland, two figures emerged from a portal. The first, a battered and bruised mummy with red eyes and spiked shoulder pads and shin guards, fell to his knees. Accompanying him was a small red demon with bulging yellow eyes, fin-like ears, and large lower cuspids that protruded out of his mouth. Missing was Arthur O'Diele, the robot he usually piloted to pose as a celebrity.

"Yen-Lo-Wang will not be pleased with your inability to take over the First World," said Guan-Yu.

Sett Ra slammed his fist into the ground in anger. "Hold your tongue, demon!"

As Guan-Yu grinned smugly at Sett's comeback, a flash of light appeared in front of them, revealing an elderly man with a white goatee wearing a blue martial arts uniform, a matching kufi cap, and a yellow bow tied to the end of the short braid on the back of his head.

"Leotsu!" Sett snarled.

Leotsu launched a ball of energy from his bo staff, knocking Sett flat on his back. "You will never conquer the First World, and you've lost your hold on the Second World. Your skeleton soldiers have been routed out by the Magic One and his friends. Even now, your allies desert you," said Leotsu.

"Wait, wha...?" Sett turned to see Guan-Yu opening another portal.

"Well, it's been real, but you've outlived your usefulness, Sett," said Guan-Yu.

"Guan-Yu, you traitor!"

Rejuvenated by sudden rage, Sett shoulder charged Guan-Yu before he could enter the portal. As Sett stared down seething at the grounded demon, Leotsu seized his opportunity among the infighting. Channeling his chi into the end of his staff, Leotsu blasted Sett backward into the portal.

"What have you done!?" Sett exclaimed, trapped in the portal as it destabilized. Leotsu and Guan-Yu shielded themselves as the portal grew brighter until it exploded in a blinding flash of light. No trace was left of the portal, nor of Sett.

"Whoa! You really blew the crap out of him!" Guan-Yu exclaimed before getting lifted up by Leotsu.

"The First World will never be moronized by your kind, Guan-Yu," Leotsu insisted.

"Have you looked at the state of the world, old geezer? I'm pretty sure we're almost there already."

"Silence! You will face judgment from the Guardians of Mankind."

Before Guan-Yu could protest, Leotsu raised his staff, teleporting away in a flash of light with him in tow.

Meanwhile, in another universe...

"Hogwarts. More than just a wizarding school, it's the one place I can truly call home. This is where we made our final stand against Voldemort and his army of Death Eaters. But what seemed like victory was only the beginning."

Somewhere in a secluded mountainous area in Great Britain, two robed figures, each wielding a wand, faced each out in the open, surrounded by the remains of the once majestic Hogwarts Castle. One of them, a scrawny teenage boy with black hair, green eyes, round glasses, and a scar on his forehead shaped like a lightning bolt, tightened the grip on his wand, ready to cast a spell at a moment's notice. The boy's enemy, a skeletally thin figure with unnaturally long fingers, chalk-white skin, a bald head, glaring red eyes, and a flat nose with slits for nostrils, remained undeterred despite already looking worse for wear.

"It's over, Voldemort!" yelled the boy named Harry Potter.

"Yes. Over for you, Potter," Voldemort replied. "Avada Ke..."

"Confringo!"

Harry shot the injured Voldemort cleanly in the chest with a Blasting Curse, sending Voldemort into a weak wall that collapsed on the dark wizard upon impact. As Harry waited for Voldemort to emerge from the wreckage, he was approached by a boy his age with sleek blond hair and icy grey eyes, wearing the same school robes as Harry, but with green accents and a snake emblem on his chest, as opposed to the red accents and griffin emblem on Harry's robe.

"Impressive, Potter. I guess you are useful without Granger and luck," said Draco Malfoy.

"Malfoy! You think you can just prance here after you and the rest of your Slytherin mates allied yourselves with Voldemort?" Harry yelled.

Draco rolled his eyes at the accusation. "I was just trying to ensure wizardkind's survival in case you and the rest of the so-called heroes failed."

Before Harry could say anything more, Voldemort rose from the rubble. His body completely thrashed, Voldemort pointed his wand to a brick on the ground just out of his arm's reach and shouted, "Portus!"

As the brick trembled and glowed blue momentarily before returning to normal, Draco's eyes widened in realization. "He's created a Portkey! He's going to escape!" he warned Harry.

"This isn't over, Potter," Voldemort hissed as he lunged for the brick.

"Don't be so sure, Tom! Sectumsempra!" With the flick of his wand, Harry slashed the brick in two a fraction of a second before Voldemort touched it. The Portkey glowed brighter as it grew more unstable, with Voldemort stuck in a perpetual state.

"You fool! You destabilized the Portkey!" Voldemort screamed.

Harry and Draco both watched as the Portkey exploded in a blinding flash of light, seemingly ending the Wizarding World's greatest threat. The force of the explosion sent nearby debris flying, which would've hit Draco if he didn't duck in the nick of time.

"I'm amazed you didn't kill us," said Draco as Harry retrieved his Firebolt broomstick with a Summoning Charm.

"Save it, Malfoy. You're going to Azkaban."

"What?"

"Wingardium Leviosa!"

Harry's wand lifted Draco into the air as Harry mounted his broom. He lifted off, magically carrying off a helpless Draco with him to the skies. "Don't worry. If you bribe the Ministry enough, I'm sure they'll let you share a cell with your father," Harry said smugly.
