Chapter 5: a/n at the end of the chapter
As soon as Pakkun reached the location, Kakashi relayed the info to Naruto, who landed them in front of what seemed to be a huge cave that had a Tori gate for the entrance which was blocked by a huge spherical rock boulder. The first thing everyone noticed was the seal that was attached to the face of the boulder.
"Well, it seems to be a five-seal barrier placed here. Naruto, make some clones, precisely 5, and send four of them in search of tags." Naruto followed the orders and as soon as his four clones were in their respective tag's presence, each one created another clone and dispelled them to convey the message to the original. "They're ready Kakashi-sensei".
"Good, now we're going remove the tags at the same moment with the help of the memory transfer technique. I know how this works." Kakashi turned toward the clone "I want your clones to remove the tags as soon as you get the memory from the next clone. Now dispel" the clone dispelled to relay the message. Naruto created another clone and got in front of the barrier seal.
"Good. Now get ready. Dispel." As soon as the clone was dispelled, every Naruto got the memories at the same moment and removed the seal tags at the same moment. And the clones dispelled themselves after that so the booby trap didn't work. "Good. Now get ready. Naruto, create a Shadow clone hawk and prepare to escape with Gaara. Sakura, I want you to weaken the boulder." Sakura did as she was told and punched the boulder making cracks form on the rock. "Naruto I want you hit with your Rasengan."
"I'm on it Kaka-sensei. However, I have another additional plan, and as soon as I give you the signal, I want you to use your best Fire jutsu to incinerate this cave. And Temari I want you to use a moderate wind technique to strengthen the flames." With Kakashi's and Temai's nods, Naruto created 5 clones and as Clone 1 and Clone 2 got ready to throw Clone 3, Naruto created two Odama Rasengan in each hand and smashed the boulder.
As soon as the boulder collapsed and gave away, a few things happened in the next couple of moments, The Clone 3 got thrown into the cave at Gaara by the first two clones, and as soon as the clone secured Gaara in its arms, He used Kawarimi with an outside clone and managed to secure Gaara out of harm's way. As soon as it happened, the original Naruto gave the signal to Kakashi and Temari to launch their attacks and He along with his two clones plus the inside the cave used an overpowered version of Gamyudan (toad oil bullet) and covered the entire cave especially the Akatsuki members with the toad oil, which soon got caught with the fame of Kakashi's Katon: Karyuudan (Fire dragon bullet) which was amplified by Temari's Futon: Daitoppa (Great Breakthrough) this combination Gamayu Endan may not be the strongest combination that Naruto has ever done but it is more than enough to take out anyone and overpowers their jutsu in this enclosed space as it can melt the rock inside the cave with relative ease. While his other Clone launched a Raiton attack into the mix. Hey! There's no overkill when it comes to S-rank shinobi, especially when it involves Akatsuki.
All of this happened in less than five seconds, enough to kill the surprised Akatsuki members who were not expecting the confrontation this soon and were caught off-guard. While this happened, the Clone that has Gaara had already taken towards the sky on the hawk while covering himself with Mirage jutsu (which is very similar to the Chameleon jutsu but using the wind around the caster to mask the castor's presence.)
As soon as the boulder collapsed, Sasori got the inking feeling that something bad happening, and the rescue team outsmarted Akatsuki and especially outsmarted him. From what he can observe, the retrieval team consists of the Copy Ninja, Hatake Kakashi, the Kyuubi Jinchuriki and Apprentice of Jiraiya of Sannnin, Uzumaki Naruto, the Kazekage's sister, and another 2 people he doesn't know about.
Without giving so much as time to speak, the Kyuubi jinchuriki threw a clone of himself secured the Kazekage, and managed to escape from them into the forest, Before he or Diedara got ready to pursue the Kazekage, the jinchuriki had already launched a jutsu that had oil cover both Diedara and him and the entire cave. Before he could realize what was happening and pull out a water scroll or Sandaime Kazekage's puppet body, he got engulfed in what seemed to be a fire dragon. Before Diedara can use any of his clay, his body is frozen in place by a strong Raiton jutsu rendering his clay useless. Sasori was sure, Diedara's heart had already stopped working cause of the Raiton jutsu before his entire body started to burn by the Fire jutsu. The last thing he saw before his vision turned dark was his 'heart' got pierced by what appeared to be Wind Senbons.
The first thing Pain did as soon as the fire started to damage the Gedo Mazo, was to dispel the statue, Even though the statute can heal itself with the Bijuu chakra in it, He wanted to ensure to preserve it as much as possible since they had only extracted half of the Ichibi. The team sure did catch them off-guard, perhaps Sasori did not cover his tracks as much as he expected. No matter what, even with the loss of 2 members, Akatsuki has not lost its strength, perhaps he should introduce him to the others sooner than necessary. Nothing stops him from achieving true peace, even the Jinchuriki or the Kyuubi itself.
Naruto sent a clone to check whether they had killed the actual Akatsuki or some sort of human clone. The clone managed to retrieve what seemed to be a couple of rings.
"Oh, I guess these are the rings that mark their identity whether they're original or not, and from what I guess, these rings may also act as some sort of communication device. If we manage to decode the seal matrix, we can track the location from where the Akatsuki Leader sends these members their orders." Kakashi explained while analyzing the rings.
"Yeah, I've seen both Itachi and the Shark guy wearing similar to these 3 years back when they came for me." Kakashi nodded to Naruto proving his assumptions were correct to an extent. "So, since our missions, both are finished, should we head back to Suna with Gaara sensei? My clone is waiting for us a couple of miles distance away."
Kakashi nodded in agreement with him. "But before we go, I want you to destroy this cave." Naruto nodded his head and created a dozen clones who went inside the cave and each formed Odama Rasengan in their hand and started destroying the cave from the inside. Yamato used a Doton jutsu to smoothen the remains so as not to leave the mess as it is. "Okay, team let's lead back Suna with the Kazekage." Getting nods and smiles in return.
"Thank you Naruto, Without your help, I wouldn't have gotten Gaara back alive," Temari said to Naruto once they were in the air again, This time Yamato was accompanied by the unconscious Gaara.
"Oh, stop it Temari, I was just helping a friend no need to thank me." Naruto was internally blushing at how much the girl was constantly thanking him. He was surprised when she hugged him out of the blue, this time he couldn't hide the blush. He returned the hug a moment later enjoying how soft her skin was even though she lives in the freaking desert. He tried not to enjoy how their chests were pressed into each other. But you can't blame him, he's a teenager with male hormones after all. Unconsciously, he hugged her closer causing Temari to blush and she soon returned it with the same enthusiasm. They separated after some minutes, each felt as though it hadn't even been a few seconds for them. Thank the Sage that they were following the others, or else Naruto couldn't have lived with their looks and teasing. They both consciously ignored how his hand remained on her waist as well and her hand remained on his thigh until they almost reached Suna.

I guess the confrontation with Akatsuki may be underwhelming to some, but understand that, The fights are quick and I can't write the lengthy ass fights. this is my first story after all. Even though the fights may be small I'll try to make them as logical as possible. You can see Naruto used a human version of Gamayu Endan. He has trained with the toads. So he knows some jutsu. And I've already said that he knows at least a couple of jutsu of each element, though he doesn't know much about Fuuinjutsu. I'm still in the process of where to lead the story.
