At the nest, everyone is setting up catapults and spears as Stoick draws a diagram on the sand on what they will do.
"When we crack this mountain open, all hell is going to break loose." Stoick explained as they all look at the mountain.
"They're never gonna win this." Megatron said with a shake of his helm after Sophia released him from the chains.
"In my undies. Good thing I brought extras." Gobber joked as Spitelout just rolled his eyes while shaking his head.
"What is it with you and underwear?" Miko asked.
Before Gobber could start, Emily and Hiccup quickly yelled.
"Don't ask! Just don't ask!" They both exclaimed in fear.
"No matter how this ends, it ends today." Stoick said before raising his fist to give the signal.
He then closed his hand into a fist and catapults all started launching boulders on the side of the mountain. When the last rock hits the wall, it crumbled down and Stoick walked up to it. He looked into the darkness before signalling to launch a torch.
For those who knows what it was like to fight a war and finding the enemy lair, they just shook their heads, already knowing the outcome of their foolishness.
Some Vikings loaded the catapult with a flaming ball and it illuminated the cave and thousands of dragons were revealed. Stoick let out a war cry and charged right in swinging his hammer and all of the dragons all fly out in a frenzy.
"They're not even fighting back, you Vikings." Miko pointed out.
The Vikings followed suit but only to realize that the dragons weren't attacking and were just flying away.
A feeling of dread can be felt by Hiccup as he was practically squeezing the stuff toy that he has.
Toothless and Emily watched the dragons fly away and Toothless knows the reason as he let out a fearful warbled while Emily was able to get the gag off and watched them leave while Tailgate, Smokescreen and Ultra Magnus hid somewhere so they can help in case.
"Thank Primus they're okay." Arcee said in relief.
"Is that it?" Gobber asked while everyone just watched the dragons fly off.
"Oh yeah sure. They just practically flew off in fear. NOT BECAUSE OF YOU IDIOTS! I CAN PRACTICALLY SENSE THE FEAR IN THEM!" Revna exclaimed sarcastically.
"We've done it!" Spitelout cheered with everyone else.
While everyone was cheering at their easy victory, Stoick went to the entrance while surveying the dragons flying away and his village cheering. Had they done it? No, it was too easy. Something about the dragons flying away and not attacking was something strange and was telling him that something was wrong and that it was far from over.
"Every battle is far from over. That we know of." Optimus said as he sent a glance to Megatron who was giving him a similar glance.
He heard a faint roar from his ship and he looked over and could almost make out the Night Fury struggling and to get out of his bounds while staring at the mountain in fear with Emily struggling against her restraints.
"Everyone, this is far from over! You need to get out of there!" Emily yelled and hoping for them to hear and apparently only the chief seemed to hear her.
"She's right. This isn't over. Form your ranks! Hold together!" Stoick said before ordering loudly.
"Oh decide to finally listen? Fantastic when it's already too late." Vince grumbled.
However before anyone could do anything, a large crack was formed on the ground in front of Stoick before a large bellowing roar was heard and almost sending everyone flying.
That just made everyone cover their ears and audio receptors from the volume of the roar.
"Looks like they pissed the beast off big time!" Starscream yelled.
The whole cave was falling apart as something huge was coming out.
"Get clear!" Stoick exclaimed as everyone started to run away from the mountain, screaming.
A monstrous dragon from the looks of it, came out of the mountain entrance and everyone just watched in horror as they took in the size of the beast as it gave out a loud roar.
Seeing the actual size of the beast made everyone go silent or pale.
"Oh gods... And I thought Unicron was huge!" Emily cried out in shock.
"You think?! Look at the size of that thing!" Smokescreen exclaimed in equal shock.
"Beard of Thor... what is that?" Gobber asked in shock and horror as the dragon the size of the mountain came out fully while letting out a roar of fury.
"Odin, help us." Stoick plead. This was what Hiccup was trying to tell him. How on earth are they gonna beat the beast the size of the dragon?!
Everyone was worried for the ones on screen and hope a miracle would happen.
"Catapults!" Stoick ordered and catapults started launching boulders at it but it seemed to have angered the dragon more.
"That didn't even left a scratch on the thing." Ratchet said in shock.
"Get to the ships!"
"No! Bad idea!" Tai shouted.
The Vikings all started running to the ships hoping to get to safety but Stoick saw it looking at the ships while narrowing its eyes and his eyes widened when he realized what it was planning.
"How the heck did the dragon know what they were thinking?!" Sierra shouted.
"No! NO!" Stoick tried to stop them but it was too late as the Red Death fired at the ships and engulfing every ships on fire.
Toothless started to panic and roar out in distress as Emily was panicking but she knows that Toothless needs help but she can't seem to get out of her binds as she look at the sky and hoping for a miracle to happen.
"Emily..." Optimus muttered in worry and fear as they both held hands while watching the screen.
"Heh. Smart, that one." Gobber commented but Stoick just shook his head. He should have listened.
"I was a fool." Stoick said to himself before turning to his brother.
"Yes, you are. You didn't listen to your son when he tried to warn you of the danger that you were all heading to." Fowler said.
"Lead the men to the far side of the island." Stoick quickly ordered as he nodded.
"Right. Everybody, to the far side of the island!" Spitelout repeated the order and everyone started to run in the direction.
"Gobber, go with the men." Stoick told him but Gobber just shook his head.
"Wait what?! Dad, you can't fight that thing all by yourself!" Hiccup shouted as Stoick shook his head.
"I rather sacrifice myself to save my people, son." Stoick said as Hiccup looked at him in shock.
"I think I'll stay, just in case you're thinking of doing something crazy." Gobber told him as Stoick turn to him.
"I can buy them a few minutes if I give that thing someone to hunt." Stoick argued and was about to run to the dragon but Gobber stopped him.
"Then I can double that time." Gobber said while grasping his hand in his as Stoick smiled in appreciation.
Even it was a dire situation, everyone could see the brotherly bond between the two as both Bulkhead and Wheeljack grin at each other with Miko smiling up to her friends.
Both men turned to the dragon before charging towards it.
"HERE!" Stoick exclaimed as Gobber chuckled.
"Oh, no, HERE!" Gobber exclaimed as well as the charged at the dragon.
Stoick took one spear off the ground and threw it at the dragon and he got its attention as it lowered its head while looking at the two.
"Come on! Bite me!" Gobber shouted.
"No, me!" Stoick countered.
The dragon ignored Gobber and was about to fire at Stoick when something suddenly blasted it from behind its head as Stoick's eyes widened when he saw something that surprised him.
Everyone was shock by what happened but Hiccup and Emily knew exactly what happened.
The Red Death roared out in pain while searching for its attackers while several dragons flew around it to avoid getting spotted. Everyone stared in disbelief as they saw the teens riding the dragons but Stoick was in disbelief when he saw Hiccup leading them.
"AWESOME!"
"YES!"
"SWEET!"
Cheers can be heard from everyone as Emily and Hiccup fist bump.
"Now they can beat that thing!" Katie cheered.
Everyone couldn't agree more.
"Ruff, Tuff, watch your backs! Move, Fishlegs!" Hiccup commanded while standing on Optimus' back.
Smokescreen had joined them with Ultra Magnus and Tailgate as they circled around as everyone below just watched in disbelief at seeing the teens riding the dragons. Stoick was so shocked that he could only mouth 'what the' as he watched the teens and dragons work together.
Seeing the dumbfounded look on Stoick's face was enough to make some laugh as Gobber snickered while patting his friend's shoulder who shook his head in amusement but he couldn't stop the smile from appearing.
"GO TEAM RIDERS!" Miko cheered in joy as Tai laugh at his girlfriend's energy.
"LOOK AT US! WE'RE ON A DRAGON! WE'RE ON DRAGONS! ALL OF US!" Tuffnut shouted in gleeful delight while waving to the crowd below.
"Oh they can see you alright." Wheeljack chuckled.
"Up, let's move it!" Hiccup ordered.
Gobber was able to get to his friend's side while watching the teens in amazement. They have never seen something like this in their life but it was something that might change everything for the better.
"Every bit the boar-headed, stubborn Viking you ever were!" Gobber said and Stoick could only nod in agreement since he was still shocked while never seeing this side of Hiccup before.
"See? All you have to do is give the kid a little bit of faith and believe in him." Smokescreen said as he remembered the times he made a mistake but he always fix them.
The team circled in the air above the dragon to get a good look at it as Hiccup was thinking of a plan. There's got to be some way to stop that thing but he needs to find Emily and Toothless. He then turned to Fishlegs to see what he could say about the dragon.
"Fishlegs, break it down!" Hiccup shouted and the teen nodded.
"Okay! Heavily armored skull and tail made for bashing and crushing! Steer clear of both! Small eyes, large nostrils! Relies on hearing and smell!" Fishlegs explained and Hiccup nodded.
"Time for some action!" Tailgate cheered.
The small eyes might help and be a blind spot. He then turned to Fishlegs and Snotlout.
"Okay! Lout, Legs, hang in its blind spot! Make some noise, keep it confused!" Hiccup ordered and the two nodded in agreement before he turned to the twins.
"Ruff, Tuff, find out if it has a shot limit! Make it mad!" Hiccup said as Ruffnut grinned.
"That's my specialty!" Ruffnut said but that only made Tuffnut a little peeved.
"Since when?! Everyone knows I'm more irritating! See?!" Tuff said while flipping the head of the Zippleback he was on and made annoying noises while Hiccup shook his head.
"Can they not argue at a time like this?!" Miko exclaimed as Emily shrugged but was just amuse at the twins antics.
"Just do what I told you! Me and Optimus will be back as soon as we can!" Hiccup said as he led the way to the burning ships on Optimus with Stormfly following.
"Don't worry, we got it covered!" Snotlout said.
"Yeah!" Fishlegs said as he and Snotlout got into position while the twins started to do their part of the plan.
"Troll!" Tuffnut mocked.
"Butt-Elf!" Ruffnut taunted.
"Bride of Grendel!" Tuffnut taunted and got a laugh from his twin.
The dragon fired at them for that and the dragon quickly got the two to safety.
"Way too close for comfort there." Jack said.
Fishlegs and Snotlout started banging their shields and Fishlegs saw another set of eyes opening and glaring at them.
"Uh, this thing doesn't have a blind spot!" Fishlegs shouted.
"Oh boy..."
Ultra Magnus fired a plasma Energon shot at it from his mouth with Tailgate while Smokescreen copied him to help them to distract it.
Emily and Optimus watch their friends doing everything they can to help as they knew the battle needs to end now.
Hiccup and Astrid are still looking for Toothless and Emily before Hiccup hears a familiar roar from one of the ships. He looked over and saw a black figure struggling to get off.
"There!" Hiccup pointed as Optimus redirected his flight.
When they were close enough, Hiccup jumped off Optimus' back before turning to Astrid so she could help the others.
"Go help the others!" Hiccup told her as she nodded and steered the Deadly Nadder away and to the fight as Optimus roared at them before joining the fight as well.
"Wait, why didn't Optimus help them?" Snotlout asked as he pointed to Hiccup, Emily and Toothless on screen.
"Hiccup is stubborn. He'll risk his own safety even if it means saving us." Emily said.
Hiccup turned to Emily before cutting her binds out as she moved her hands a bit and looked at him with scolding in her eyes.
"Are you insane, Hiccup?! You're gonna get yourself killed!" Emily told him sternly as he handed her staff back.
"I don't care! What matters is that we get off the ship and defeat that dragon!" Hiccup argued as he turned to Toothless.
Emily smiled in admiration at Hiccup as Hiccup returns it.
"Okay, hold on. Hold on. Emily, help me get these off him." Hiccup said as she started to help as Hiccup got the muzzle off.
The two started to try and remove the chains off Toothless so they could hurry and help the others.
The two were able to get a few of the chains off but Toothless suddenly let out a roar as something was coming down towards them. Emily looked up and her eyes widened.
"Look out!" She yelled as the giant foot of the Red Death came crashing down towards them.
"Oh no!" June gasped.
Hiccup and Emily quickly jumped out of the way but the foot crashed on the ship they were on and it destroyed the ship they were on. Emily gasped for air and looked around for Hiccup. She swam to shore and coughed up some of the water she accidentally swallowed. Optimus was by her side quickly when he sensed the distress of his sparkmate. She looked up to him worriedly but they looked when they heard footsteps.
The two looked and saw that Stoick dove down into the water.
"Wait, is he doing what I think it is...?" Vince asked in shock.
After a few seconds, he resurfaced and dragged Hiccup who seemed to have passed out to shore. He lay him down on the shore just as he coughed out the water he accidentally swallowed before he dove back down to Toothless.
"Dad?" Hiccup questioned.
"He did. He really did." Arcee nodded with a smile.
"Hiccup, are you okay?!" Emily rushed to his side as Optimus helped him up as he coughed a little.
"Y-Yeah." He nodded as he regained his bearings.
They turned when a burst of water was heard and Toothless set Stoick down as he landed on a rock while shaking the water off him. He then looks towards his rider, Optimus and Emily with a burning determination in his eyes.
"Oh yeah! Time for the big finale!" Raf cheered as Bumblebee looked at him in surprise. He's never this energetic.
"Time to teach that dragon something a thing or two." Emily said as she climbed on Optimus with her staff ready.
Hiccup nodded as he followed suit towards Toothless.
"You got it, bud."
He climbed on Toothless quickly and started to secure himself but Stoick grabbed his hand to stop him from leaving. Emily and Hiccup with the two dragons look towards him.
"Hiccup. Emily." He started and he looked as if he wanted to say something.
"Oh boy here we go." Knock Out said sarcastically.
"I'm sorry... for-for everything. And for not believing you both." He apologized.
Hiccup's eyes widened at this a little bit and he just smiled in forgiveness. He didn't blame him.
"Okay, wasn't expecting that to be honest. Did anyone expected that?" Jack asked in shock as everyone was on the same boat.
"Apology accepted, chief." Emily said with a small smile.
"Yeah, me too." Hiccup nodded.
Stoick looked worried as he looked at the dragon that the two were gonna fight.
"You two don't have to go up there and fight that thing. We can find another way to beat it." Stoick reasoned but Emily just gave him a smile as her eyes held what looked like experience on a battlefield.
Both Emily and Optimus look at each other and to their team who gave nod with determined smiles.
"That won't stop me, Hiccup and our dragons from saving both species from annihilation. You guys are Vikings. It's an occupational hazard for you." Emily answered him for Hiccup as the teen just laughed and agreed.
"Got that right." Spitelout agreed with her.
Stoick just smiled and looked at them both with a nod before he put his other hand on Hiccup's hand.
"I'm proud to call you my son." He said and Hiccup blinked the tears that welled up in his eyes and nodded.
"Thanks, Dad." Hiccup smiled with a nod as Stoick turned to Emily.
"Make sure he comes back safe." He told her as she nodded.
"I won't let you down, sir." Emily nodded.
"That's a promise." Emily muttered.
Toothless crouched down before he launched himself towards the sky with Optimus following with a mighty beat of their wings and easily breaking the sound barrier.
Everyone started to cheer and could barely contain themselves as they could feel the energy from the battle.
Astrid heard that and looked towards the direction and smiled widely when she saw the two getting ready for the final battle.
"They're up!" Astrid exclaimed as she flew towards the others and saw that Snotlout was on the head of the behemoth of a dragon.
"Get Snotlout out of there!" She ordered the twins but the Dramilion dragon beat the twins to it and grabbed Snotlout from the Red Death.
"The two were busy fighting. I had to do it." Smokescreen said as Snotlout grumbled about being saved but sent him a thankful smile.
The dragons started to fly to safety but the dragon started to suck in both Stormfly and Astrid when the two passed it. Astrid cried in fear and distressed from that as she held on while the Nadder flapped her wings furiously.
"Astrid!" Mrs. Hofferson cried out in fear for her daughter as Astrid looked pale.
Everyone turned just as a high pitched noise was heard and saw that the Night Fury was preparing its blast. Emily's eyes glowed brightly as she strapped her staff on her back and jumped off Optimus' back and down towards the Red Death as her hands turned into plasma cannons.
"Oh yeah! Give it a blow, Ems!" Miko yelled.
"Holy!" Hiccup said in awe. Seeing his friend in a battle field was something he never thought he could witness.
She fired just as Toothless launched his plasma blast and the two blasts quickly hit the dragon dead center on the side of the jaw. But the impact also threw Astrid off Stormfly as she let out a loud scream and started to fall down towards the ground below.
Astrid almost jumped out of her seat but Eret stopped her and calmed her down as she gave him a thankful smile.
Emily saw this and quickly whistled at Optimus who flew down towards the two quickly as Emily used the staff to hook herself on Optimus while he grabbed Astrid by her foot. Hiccup directed Toothless towards them as he looked for Astrid.
"Did Optimus get her?" Hiccup asked worriedly. Emily looked down towards Astrid, who smiled at her as she laughed slightly while shaking her head.
"Definitely got her." Jack said.
"He got her." Emily told him before glaring at the dragon before looking back to Hiccup.
"Hiccup, this fight is yours and Toothless. Only you two can defeat that thing." She told him as he looked shocked.
"Wait what?! She's not joining?!" Fishlegs asked in shock.
"Sometimes a battle must be finished that are destined for greatness. Hiccup and Toothless are the best ones who can beat the thing." Ratchet said as Ultra Magnus agreed.
"Emily Sparks and Optimus Prime can help but they both know this isn't their fight. They are there to guide them." He said.
"But I thought you're gonna help." He said in shock but Emily reassured him with a smile.
"You got this, Hiccup. I believe in you. Now show what a Night Fury and rider can do together." She said.
"Give it your all, Hiccup!"
"Show it how it's done!"
Different voices of encouragement can be heard as Hiccup couldn't help but smile at how it was turning but he couldn't shake the feeling that something will happen.
Hiccup hesitated but nodded as he flew towards the dragon as Emily had Optimus set Astrid down before the two landed as the two girls watched Hiccup.
"I thought you're gonna help him!" Astrid exclaimed at Emily but was confused when she saw that Emily looked calm with the Stormcutter.
"I did but this fight is his and his alone. Hiccup knows what he's doing." Emily said as she had complete faith in Hiccup but she couldn't help but worry for his safety.
The cheering slowly subsided as they watch the screen intently.
In the sky, Hiccup and Toothless were high in the air and the two noticed that the dragon had wings on it.
"That thing has wings!" Hiccup exclaimed and had an idea in mind.
"Let's see what you guys got." Emily said with a determine look.
"Okay, let's see if it can use them!" Hiccup told Toothless who flew up a bit more to gain more fire power.
He then dove down, creating his signature sound, before setting out a powerful blast against the dragon's side. The dragon let out a roar of pain and was sent tumbling down. Everyone stayed back as they watched it stretch its wings and Emily gulped while looking at the dragon while the Predabots who looked worried for the boy.
Hiccup looked behind him and Toothless to see if it worked.
"Do you think that did it?" Hiccup questioned him.
They didn't need to have an answer when they heard a deep growl behind them. Both Toothless and Hiccup looked back and saw that it was now airborne and following them with a furious look in its eyes. Hiccup just grinned at Toothless.
"Does that answer your question?" Breakdown asked jokingly.
"Well, it can fly." Hiccup commented and Toothless just snorted out a laugh.
Toothless started to fly through the sea stacks to his advantage as the Red Death snapped at the two a few times. But the Red Death just flew through them like they were nothing. They passed by the shore and Hiccup saw that everyone was cheering for him and he saw Emily and Optimus nod to him to keep going and he nodded back.
Hiccup happened to look up and saw that the clouds were dark and it seemed to be dark enough for a counterattack against the giant beast.
"What are you planning, kid?" Fowler said as Emily narrowed her eyes before they widened as she realized what Hiccup was planning.
"Okay, Toothless, time to disappear!" Hiccup told the Night Fury who nodded at what he had in mind and Hiccup quickly changed the tailfin and Toothless immediately flew up towards the clouds.
"He's gonna use the clouds to his advantage! Toothless is a Night Fury and they attack in the cover of darkness!" She said as Ultra Magnus looked proud for the kid thinking of a strategy like that.
Stoick couldn't shake the feeling of dread from forming in the pit of his stomach but he tried to shake it off. Everything is gonna be alright. His son will be okay.
"Come on, bud!"
Everyone watched him from down below as Emily was getting a bad feeling about this as she and everyone continued to watch the two fly high into the clouds.
The two continue to fly towards the clouds but Hiccup felt the hair behind his neck stand up when he heard the hissing gas from behind and instantly knew that the behemoth would try and blast him and Toothless. Hiccup and Toothless heard the hissing of gas and the dragon rider teen quickly steered Toothless out of the way of the fire.
"Here it comes!" He exclaimed just as the fire almost got them.
"Too close, fleshy." Starscream said in relief.
They entered the dark clouds and the Red Death instantly lost sight of the two as it let out enraged roars.
"It can't see them." Raf noted.
Down below, everyone was all praying for their safety as Emily and Optimus looked at each other worriedly.
'Whatever, you're planning, Hiccup. You better get out of it unscathed.' Emily thought but she couldn't stop the growing dread from surfacing.
Emily was thinking the same thing but a battle like this always comes with a price.
Back in the sky, Hiccup quickly thought of a plan and motioned for Toothless to fire at its wings. Toothless understood what he was saying and proceeded to do just that. The Red Death let out enraged and pained roars while Toothless and Hiccup circled the dragon while avoiding its jaws.
Down below, everyone gasped and watched in shock as the sounds of the plasma blasts exploding emitted that of a thunderstorm.
Everyone has the same expression.
Back in the sky, the Red Death has had enough and let loose a huge stream of fire everywhere. Hiccup and Toothless saw this and tried to avoid it the best they can.
"Watch out!" Hiccup yelped.
The two were able to get away unscathed but when Hiccup looked at the fake tailfin, his heart nearly stopped when he saw that it got caught on fire and it was starting to burn away. He needs to do something fast.
Emily and Stoick gasped in shock as Toothless warbled in worry.
"Okay, time's up! Let's see if this works." Hiccup told the Night Fury as they flew towards the Red Death to taunt it.
"COME ON! IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO?!" Hiccup taunted it loudly and Toothless roared out an insult of his own.
That angered the dragon as it snapped its jaws at them. They were soon in a dive with the Red Death following them. Hiccup fidgeted with the stirrup and could tell that the tail was almost burnt off.
"Stay with me, buddy. We're good. Just a little bit longer." Hiccup reassured Toothless as he could feel the Night Fury getting nervous.
The Red Death then narrowed its eyes at the two heroes but what it didn't know was that they have a plan of their own to finish its reign of terror.
"Hold, Toothless..." Hiccup whispered when he heard the buildup of gas from the dragon's fire.
Everyone was holding their breath at this and hope that what Hiccup was planning worked.
And just as the dragon was about to breathe its fire upon them, Hiccup shouted out the signal.
"NOW!" Hiccup shouted loudly.
Toothless flipped around before launching his final shot into the gaping mouth of the dragon and setting it ablaze from the inside. The ground soon came to view and its eyes widened in shock.
Everyone started to cheer at that. The battle was over as they watch the dragon plummet to it's death.
It tried to use its wings to slow down but due to the assault Hiccup and Toothless did in the clouds, it started to tear apart in holes. Toothless was able to flip back and we're sent flying up just as the Red Death let out one final roar before crashing against the ground.
It exploded causing the very island to shake as a huge heatwave was felt and making everyone cover their heads and take cover.
"Whoa!" The twins and Miko gasped in awe while Wheeljack was impressed by the explosion.
"Wait. Where's Hiccup and Toothless?!" Emily gasped.
Everyone's eyes widened in shock when they realized the two haven't emerged.
In the explosion, both Hiccup and Toothless weaved in and out of the spikes of the now burning dragon as they tried to escape the fire chasing them.
Emily was gripping Optimus' hand in worry.
Hiccup looked back and saw that the tail was now burnt away but when he looked back up, his eyes widened in fear as the tail was coming down towards him and Toothless fast.
"No... NO!" Emily cried out.
"No! NO!" Hiccup cried out but the tail knocked him out cold and was thrown off the saddle.
"HICCUP!"
"SON!"
Cries of shock and fear for the boy can be heard as they watched helplessly as he descents to the fire below.
Toothless noticed the missing weight on his back and looked back and was shocked when he saw his beloved rider falling down towards the inferno below. He quickly straightened himself and quickly flapped his wings as hard as he could to get to him.
Toothless was able to grab Hiccup and quickly wrapped him around in his wings just as his world went black.
A stunned silence was the only thing that remained as Hiccup look down in shock. So that's it? He dies with Toothless for protecting his home.
Everyone was in similar position as Raf was starting to cry as Bumblebee comforted him. Emily watched the screen silently as the next apart started.
