They were able to get a ship to head back to Berk and Emily insisted that she take Hiccup back to Berk as quickly as possible and to Gothic on Ultra Magnus. Stoick agreed and let her take his son back to the village quickly. To say the least, the ones who stayed behind were a little scared and wary of a dragon in the village but when they heard the urgency in Emily's voice of needing to see Gothi quickly, she was sent to Gothi with Hiccup in her arms.
Gothi was able to help stabilize Hiccup while also telling Emily that his damaged leg is beyond repair and needs to be amputated. The next following days were of Emily staying by Hiccup's side while also helping the village get used to having dragons around with the rest of teens. There was an uproar on the first few days but the villagers are slowly adjusting to having dragons living among them.
It has nearly been almost a month since Hiccup and Toothless defeated the Red Death and the teen was still in a sleep induced coma. Toothless has never left his side not even to go out for fresh air and fish but Emily was able to get the stubborn dragon to eat and go outside for fresh air while she changed the bandages on Hiccup's leg. Gobber was able to make a prosthetic leg for Hiccup with Emily's help.
"So I was out for a month?" Hiccup asked in worry.
"From the injuries that you sustained, I wouldn't be surprised. Your body needs to heal and month is a long one." Ratchet said with June agreeing.
So now it's all just a waiting game for all of them as Toothless watches his rider rest. He prayed almost every day for his beloved rider to wake up soon. He misses having pets and scratches from him, especially the flight.
"I'm sorry for worrying you, bud." Hiccup told Toothless who nudged him to say that it was alright and that he didn't mind.
His ears perked up when he heard a small noise from Hiccup and he sniffed his face and warbled excitedly when he saw his rider starting to open his eyes.
"Welcome back to the land of the living." Miko joked as Hiccup laugh softly at that.
Hiccup opened his eyes slowly as his eyes adjusted to the light and couldn't help but smile tiredly at Toothless who was so excited and happy to see that he finally woke up as he couldn't help but nudge his cheek.
"Oh, hey, Toothless. I'm happy to see you too, buddy." Hiccup said with a small laugh but yelped when Toothless accidentally stepped on his privates and caused him to sit up instantly.
Men and mechs all winced and put their hands and servos against where their groins in pain already knowing the feeling of that as the girls just laugh.
"OW!!!" He then blinked a little and rubbed his eyes.
Please for the love of Thor! Tell him he is not in his house! More importantly...
"What- Uh, I'm in my house." Hiccup said in slight panic and surprise before turning to Toothless who was about to burst from energy.
"He really needs to burn off that energy of his." Emily shook her head in amusement.
"You're in my house! Uh... does my dad know you're in here?!" Toothless couldn't contain his joy from seeing and hearing his rider awake and talking that he knocked over a few stuff around the house.
Toothless then jumped on a support beam of the house and perched on it while Hiccup just couldn't help but panic and worry.
"Geez calm down, Toothless!" Miko laugh. Seeing Toothless like that is literally like seeing a overgrown puppy.
"Okay, okay- no, Toothless! Aw, come on..." He pleaded but stopped when he felt that something was off.
He then lifted the blanket off his lower half and just gaped in shock and resignation. This was the price for going against a giant dragon and almost getting himself killed. Toothless jumped down and looked at him worriedly.
This worried everyone as they wanted to know what happened.
He looked at Toothless with a sad smile before he slowly put his leg and prosthetic down.
The teens of Berk couldn't help but gaped in shock and disbelief while Gobber, Stoick and the villagers were speechless. Hiccup lost a leg in battle but he seemed to accept the fact that it was a price to be paid for what happened.
Toothless sniffed the fake one before looking up at his rider and couldn't help but feel sorry for him but Hiccup just smiled at him softly before taking a deep breath and using the legs of his bed to stand up.
"Careful, Hiccup." June muttered.
"Okay... okay..." He was standing up and winced when pain flared up his leg.
He took another deep breath and attempted to walk but yelped in pain and was about to fall over but Toothless quickly caught him with his head as Hiccup used him as a support.
Emily couldn't help but winced when Hiccup tried to put too much of his weight on his new leg.
"You're gonna need to adjust to that, Hiccup.
"Thanks, bud." Hiccup thanked him as he limped towards the door with Toothless helping him.
Hiccup was able to put most of the weight on his prosthetic leg and grabbed the door handle before opening the door and was greeted by a Monstrous Nightmare.
That made everyone jumped from their seats.
"Oh great! Another raid?!" Snotlout complained but Hiccup and Emily could sense something and they just couldn't contain their smiles.
He yelped in surprise and quickly closed the door as Toothless looked at him in confusion.
"Toothless, stay here." Hiccup told him as he opened the door again.
He poked his head out and saw the same Monstrous Nightmare but what he didn't expect was that it was the same one as before the battle and that... Snotlout is riding him!
"Come on, guys, get ready! Hold on tight! Here we go!" Snotlout exclaimed as he flew away with several other Vikings riding on dragons as well.
"What...?" He breathed in shock.
"Holy..." Jack breathe in shock and awe with everyone.
Hiccup was practically bouncing on his seat.
"It's like a utopia!" Emily said in joy.
"That it is indeed." Optimus had to agree. Seeing two different species living in harmony, he just wished it could be the same after the war is over.
Hiccup finally came out and was met with a sight that surprised him to his core and he couldn't help but feel happy. There are dragons everywhere and Vikings are getting along with them and no weapons are in sight. Only dragons.
"I knew it. I'm dead." Hiccup deadpan as he was still speechless while watching the sight before him.
"Nope. You're not, son." Stoick chuckled.
He heard laughter from behind him and saw that it was his dad and he was... smiling?! Was he not mad with dragons and Vikings getting along?!
"No, but you gave it your best shot. So? What do you think?" Stoick said with an amused chuckle before asking and gesturing to the sight.
"Uh, what do I think? This is so awesome!" Hiccup said happily.
What does he think? He's shocked out of his wits right now and nothing could explain the sight before him.
"Hey, look! It's Hiccup!" A viking shouted when they caught a glimpse of their hero up and awake.
The next thing he knew, he was being surrounded by vikings with smiles on their faces and asking how he is and other things.
"Hiccup, how you doin' mate?"
"It's great to see you up and about."
"Looks like someone is finally getting the attention he needed." Revna said with a smile.
Hiccup looks towards his dad in confusion on what's going on as he continues to smile at him.
"Turns out all we needed was a little more of... this." Stoick said while gesturing to Hiccup as he couldn't help but smile a little.
"You just gestured to all me." Hiccup said with a humorous smile.
"You just gestured to all of me." He said with a small smile.
That made everyone laugh good naturedly.
"Well, most of you."
He turned and saw Gobber walking up to him as he gestured to his prosthetic leg.
"That bit's my handiwork. With a little "Hiccup Flair" thrown in. You think it'll do?" Gobber asked as Hiccup lifted his fake leg and noted that it was well built and he couldn't help but be thankful.
"I might make a few tweaks." He joked as they all laughed at him.
"Hiccup and his sense of humor." Raf giggled.
A roar was heard and they looked up and Optimus landed.
Snotlout whistled.
"Now that's an entrance from a total woman." He said and sent her a flirty look but stopped when Optimus was giving him a dirty look while putting an arm around Emily to show that she's taken.
"Hiccup!" It was Emily!
She jumped off Optimus' back and ran towards him and hugged him tightly.
"I'm so relieved you're finally awake." She said in relief as he hugged back.
"Aww." June, Miko, Sierra and Katie cooed.
"Good to see you too, Ems." Hiccup said quietly.
They both pulled back before she punched his shoulder and it caused him to wince.
"Ow!" He cried out in surprise more than pain.
"Ooh. That hurts." Jack said while snickering.
"That's for scaring me half to death." She told him with a stern look.
"What is it with you punching me suddenly?! Is it always going to be this way? Cause..." Hiccup complained but he was cut off when she kissed his forehead.
Hiccup turned beet red as Emily laugh and ruffled his hair.
"Don't worry. I only do that sometimes to those I considered as a friend or family." Emily said with a smile.
"...I could get used to it." He said embarrassingly as she laughed while ruffling his hair.
Everyone can still see the strong bond and it made them smile.
Gobber then handed Hiccup a newly repaired saddle and other flying gear for Toothless and Emily gave him his new flying suit.
"Welcome home." He said as he couldn't help but smile.
"Night Fury!"
That caught their attention as they turned to see that Toothless was coming towards them excitedly.
"Get down!"
Toothless jumped on several vikings and caused them to fall over before landing in front of his rider and friend as he eyed the new gears excitedly. Both Emily and Hiccup couldn't help but laugh in amusement at him.
"Oh gods... Toothless..." Hiccup whined in embarrassment and amusement as the teens all laugh.
A few moments later, Hiccup and Emily were lined up for a race around the island and on Toothless and Optimus with Smokescreen, Tailgate and Ultra Magnus joining. Hiccup fiddled with the new stirrup as he looked back and saw that the new tail was brand new. It was red with a white skull painted on it. He looked at his friends before looking at Toothless who was really eager to get back in the air.
"You ready?" Hiccup asked him as he snorted with a smile as Hiccup looked around with wonder and a smile.
"He's more than ready." Hiccup said with a smile.
Hiccup: This... is Berk. It snows nine months of the year, and hails the other three.
They then took off and raced each other laughing as the other riders soon joined them in the race.
Emily: Any food that grows here is tough and tasteless. The people that grow here are even more so. The only upsides are the pets.
Hiccup: While other places have... ponies or parrots...
Hiccup and Emily both look at each other before the two dragons skyrocketed towards the sky as their riders whooped in joy.
Emily and Hiccup: We have... dragons!
The screen faded to black as the lights came back on and everyone started to clap and cheer after the movie. Sophia appeared on stage with a new outfit which was a kunoichi outfit as she smiled at them.
"How did you like it?" She asked and getting loud cheers that concludes that they love it.
"I know that after seeing this meaning you can change the future of your lives but I'm sad to say that you all won't remember being here or the movie after you all relive it all." She explained.
"B-But! We can change it right? You gotta let us keep our memories!" Snotlout said but Sophia shook her head.
"Sorry, Snotlout. I can't bend the rules of destiny when it's already in motion. But you'll remember it all again after the events you guys went through." Sophia said.
"This is just goodbye for now until the sequel." She said with a grin.
"Wait, sequel? What sequel?" Hiccup asked in confusion.
"One that would show you guys five years into the future. That is all for now. Sayonara!" She waved goodbye and they returned it and she snapped her fingers and they all disappeared in a flash of light and back to their worlds.
Sophia sighed and sat down on the stage as four figures jumped down from the shadows.
"So how did you guys like the movie?" Sophia said as she turned.
Standing before her are four mutants. Two were mutant turtles and the two others are a mutant turtle-lizard hybrid and one was a salamandrian-turtle hybrid. They were Hana, Irrilia, Opal and Jessica.
"It was awesome! Hope we can get to meet them next time." Jessica said excitedly as her baby blue eyes shined with excitement.
"Heh. As long as the villain for the sequel gets defeated, I'm all game for it." Irrilia said with her arms cross. Her eyes were a mix of her parents but they held amusement to them.
"Come on, guys. Let's just say that we'll see them again." Opal said with a smile and showing her gapped teeth while her chocolate brown eyes held intelligence.
"All we can do is wait and see what happens. That much that we can only know that is." Hana said as her cobalt blue eyes showed wisdom.
"True that. Now come on. I wanna get going so we can prepare for the Battle Nexus Game Tournament!" Sophia said as she opened a portal.
"Ooh!!! I hope we get to meet our dads other selves! That would be so cool!" Jessica said excitedly as she went through the portal first.
"And I thought Uncle Mikey and Aunt Jenny were hyper." Irrilia said as she went after her cousin.
"Technically, Uncle Michelangelo and Aunt Jenny have the same energy level so they're evenly matched." Opal said.
"Says the daughter of Uncle Donatello and Aunt Ella." Irrilia remarked with a grin as Opal followed her two cousins.
Hana rolled her eyes in amusement as Sophia laugh.
"I'll never understand how the daughter of Leonardo and Hinotori Hamato can stand them." Sophia said with a shake of her head.
"They're my cousins. They're bound to have at least a part of their fathers' personalities. Especially if one of them is the daughter of Uncle Raphael and Mona Lisa." Hana said as she and Sophia entered the portal as it closed up and leaving the theater empty until next time.
