Fate
It's a fickle thing. Unpredictible, and superficial.
As you watch your village burn
As you stare at scene that makes your stomach turn
Why ?
You would think.
That's what a girl thought as she cursed the pool of oil that she was praising only a few minutes ago.
That's what a boy thought as he tossed the sparkling diamond that he was thanking only a few steps back
Fate
Its's powerful, unchageable and immaterial
As you step of a ledge and hurtle down a cliff plummeting to your death.
As you step into a fire you just lit.
Why ?
You would think.
That's what a girl thought as she watched the life of a bear seep out and away battered, broken and innocent. Just like her father . The bear that saved her life when she fell.
That's what a boy thought as he glares at the sky and stomps the fire that sizzles and flickers and is put out by the pelting rain. Just like his mothers.
Fate
It's a demon, a monster , it's too cruel.
As you are saved only to die
As you feel the cold thouch of a metal at your stomach
Why ?
You would think as you die.
That's what a girl thought as she lay under a flaming log.
That's what a boy thought as he felt his heart give out and the burning pain in his stomach numb.
