Volume 7:
Chapter 1: Kenobi
"And we're back", Luz said.
"Oh yay", the others said.
Amity asked, "what do you have in mind, Sweet Potato?"
Luz blushed as she said, "the other day I was watching a certain show on my phone and it got me thinking…."
Willow asked, "what show?"
Luz smirked and pulled out her phone.
"Obi Wan Kenobi", Luz said.
Gus asked, "they made a show about Master Kenobi?"
"Yep, and watching this show gave me an idea…. A reimagining….", Luz said.
Hunter asked, "of what?"
Luz smirked and said, "what if Sam from our last two stories was raised by Obi Wan instead of Ahsoka…."
"Woah, that does sound interesting", Marek said.
"And there are going to be a lot of changes….", Luz said.
Galen asked, "like what?"
Luz smiled and said, "you'll have to wait and see…. Now let's start!"
"Yay", the others said.
….
We then open up on a fiery planet and on the planet we….
….
"Stop right there", Luz said.
What?
Luz said, "we're fast forwarding a bit, since we've already seen this part…."
Alright, fine….
Fast forwarding a minute later….
"Okay, right here", Luz said as they stopped at the part where Padme gives birth.
….
Padme was screaming in pain as she was in labor.
Obi Wan was by her side.
The Medical Droid then held a baby in its arms.
"It's a boy", Obi Wan said.
"Luke", Padme said softly.
Obi Wan brought Luke closer and Padme touched her baby's cheek.
"Oh Luke", Padme said.
Padme then screamed again as she still had to push out another baby.
Soon after the second baby arrived.
"It's a girl", Obi Wan said.
"Leia", Padme said softly.
Leia cooed as she nuzzled against her mother's cheek.
Padme then screamed again as she had to push out the final baby.
Obi Wan handed Luke and Leia to a medical droid in order to pick up baby number three.
Soon the final baby arrived.
Obi Wan said, "it's another boy", as he looked at the baby.
He looked just like Anakin.
Padme then saw her baby and said, "Sam."
Sam's eyes slowly opened, and the first thing he saw was Obi Wan.
Sam smiled and cooed.
Obi Wan smiled at the boy.
"Oh, he's so cute", Padme said softly as she smiled at her baby.
Sam cooed as he felt his mother touch his cheek.
Padme whispered, "you look just like your father."
Obi Wan froze at the mention of Anakin.
Even after only a few hours, the memory of what happened to Anakin was fresh in his mind.
Padme asked, "Obi Wan?"
Obi Wan said, "I'm so sorry, Padme."
"It's not your fault….", Padme said.
Obi Wan smiled sadly.
"But I know there is still good in him…. I know there is still…. Good in…. Him….", Padme said.
Padme closed her eyes…. And she took her final breath….
Obi Wan sadly knew that this meant Padme had passed away.
The babies began to cry.
Obi Wan held Sam close.
Sam hugged Obi Wan as he and the rest of his siblings were crying.
….
A few minutes later….
Obi Wan sat with Bail Organa and Yoda.
"Safe, the Children must be kept", Yoda said.
Obi Wan said, "somewhere where the Empire can't get to them."
"Split up, they should be", Yoda said.
"My wife and I will take the girl, we've always dreamt of adopting a baby girl. She will be loved with us", Bail said.
Obi Wan asked, "and what of the boys?"
Yoda said, "to Tatooine, to his family, send Luke."
Obi Wan asked, "and Sam?"
Yoda let out a small smile and said, "you."
Obi Wan asked in shock, "me?!"
"Young Sam Skywalker, taken a liking to you, he already has", Yoda said.
Obi Wan said, "but Master…. I'm nowhere ready to be a father."
Yoda gave a small chuckle and said, "ready, you are. And, cruel to separate him from you, it would be."
Obi Wan knew that Yoda was right.
Obi Wan sighed and said, "very well…. I'll care for Sam…. Raise him as if he were my own."
Yoda smiled at Obi Wan.
Bail said, "if you are to raise Sam, you'll need help. I have an old droid that could be of use."
Obi Wan asked, "what kind of droid?"
Bail said, "an old One-One model."
The droid then rolled into the room.
It looked like a white ball with a black stripe going down the middle.
"Hello everyone", the droid said.
Bail said, "One-One, I've got a special job for you."
One-One said, "yes master Organa, what is it?"
Bail said, "you'll be helping Master Kenobi to look after a young boy."
"It would be an honor", One-One said.
Bail said, "good to know."
One-One rolled over to Obi Wan.
"We all better get going", Bail said.
Obi Wan and Yoda nodded.
"May the force be with us all", Obi Wan said to Yoda and Bail.
Bail then left the room.
But before Obi Wan could leave, Yoda held up his hand and said, "Obi Wan…. A moment?"
Obi Wan nodded and sat down.
"In your solitude on Tatooine, training I have for you", Yoda said.
Obi Wan asked, "training?"
"An old friend has learned the path to immortality", Yoda said.
Obi Wan asked, "who?"
"One who has returned from the netherworld of the Force to train me…. Your old Master….", Yoda said.
Obi Wan gasped, "Qui Gon?!"
Yoda nods his head.
Yoda said, "help you to commune with him, I will."
Obi Wan nods his head.
….
"Well, since we know what happens next, let's fast forward again….", Luz said.
No! No we're not!
Luz asked, "why?"
We wanna do Padme's funeral.
Luz asked again, "why?"
Because we wanna show the new version with Ahsoka there!
Luz said, "okay, okay, jeez. No more fast forwarding, got it…."
….
Meanwhile, on Naboo….
We see the capital of Theed.
There were large crowds. They were all there for the funeral of Padme Amidala.
Two Eopies were carrying the casket of Padme Amidala.
Dear friends of Padme walked alongside her casket. Including Bail, Jar Jar Binks, Boss Nass, the current Queen of Naboo, and a few fellow Senators.
They were all holding candles in their hands.
A particular person stood in the crowd.
Though the person was wearing a cloak to cover their face, we can see who it was.
Ahsoka Tano.
Ahsoka had tears in her eyes.
She had lost so many friends and family because of what happened.
She felt alone.
But little did she know what the future held for her…. For now, she kept her eyes on Padme's body, and the necklace held in her hand.
….
Meanwhile, on Alderaan….
We see Bail's ship land.
He then exits it and carries Leia in his arms.
His wife approaches him with a smile.
Bail then hands Leia to his wife.
Breha smiles at the baby.
The couple smile down at their newly adopted daughter.
….
Meanwhile on Tatooine….
Obi Wan had just disembarked an Eopie outside of the Lars homestead.
He was carrying Luke in his arms.
Beru, Owen's now wife, approached them.
He hands Luke over to Beru. She smiled down at the baby.
Beru then walks over to Owen to show him Luke.
Owen smiled at the boy as Obi Wan gave a small smile and took his leave.
As he approached his Eopie, he heard cooing.
Sitting in a small bundle strapped to the saddle, was Sam.
Sam cooed as he reached his arms towards Obi Wan.
Obi Wan picked him up.
Sam giggled as he hugged Obi Wan around the neck.
Obi Wan chuckled lightly.
Obi Wan then got onto the Eopie.
He set off with Sam and One-One in tow.
….
"Now this story is off to a good start", Galen said.
"Yes it is…. But sadly, something bad would happen a year later….", Luz said.
The group gasped.
….
One year later….
Obi Wan was making lunch for him and Sam.
A one year old Sam was playing with One-One.
Sam had grown both close to Obi Wan and One-One.
They were his family.
His first words to Obi Wan were Papa. He truly saw Obi Wan as his father.
It filled Obi Wan's heart with joy and happiness.
He wasn't truly alone, it seemed.
Sam giggled as he ran after One-One.
Obi Wan chuckled.
Little did the three know of the coming danger….
….
Meanwhile….
A cloaked black figure was seen in the distance.
Their cloak was pitch black and stood out against the sand.
They were also wearing a mask.
It was a dark metallic one, very similar to Revan's mask.
The cloaked figure was gripping in one hand; a Kyber Crystal.
But it looked all jagged and…. Ominous.
The cloaked figure smirked beneath their mask. They definitely had some sort of diabolical plan….
Sam had chased One-One outside, as the droid rolled away.
He giggled as he crawled after them.
But Sam was unaware of the cloaked figure. The figure slowly approached Sam from behind.
And then the figure raised the Kyber Crystal in their hand. It began to glow a dark red.
Sam was cooing as he crawled towards One-One.
That's when One-One spotted the figure!
"Master Sam! Look out", One-One shouted.
Sam was confused before he was engulfed in a red light!
Sam cried in fear.
The figure started laughing.
Obi Wan quickly ran outside.
He yelled, "Sam!"
He saw the cloaked figure. He ran at him and shoved him away from Sam!
The figure then quickly stood up and began chuckling.
Obi Wan yelled, "who are you?! What did you do to him?!"
"All I can say is; you better be careful from now on, Jedi…. The curse I placed upon that child will make him dangerous", the figure chuckled darkly.
Obi Wan yelled, "what curse?! What did you do to my boy?!"
The figure kept chuckling darkly.
Obi Wan yelled and ran at them!
The figure leaped out of the way and jumped onto a rock.
The figure teased, "oh this is so fun! I thought a Jedi wasn't supposed to act on their anger?"
Obi Wan growled, "when it concerns my family, you'll find that anger can make me do whatever it takes to protect them."
The figure let out a dark chuckle.
"Sorry, but I have to go…. But I will give you a tip…. Make sure to be stocked up on Elixirs! Because the boy will need them. Byeeeeeee", the figure exclaimed.
The figure vanished in a puff of smoke!
"Oh my! Where did he go", One-One exclaimed.
Obi Wan glanced around and said, "I'm not sure…. Sam!"
Obi Wan ran to Sam as they laid on the ground.
Sam was whimpering as they felt weird.
Obi Wan carefully picked him up.
"Papa", Sam cried.
Obi Wan held Sam close.
One-One then saw the Kyber Crystal left on the ground.
"Master Kenobi, look", One-One said as he picked up the Crystal.
Obi Wan muttered, "a Kyber Crystal?"
One-One said, "I'm detecting a strange energy from it. And also, that cloaked figure was holding it in his hand, when he placed that curse on Sam."
Obi Wan wondered aloud, "what kind of curse could he have placed on Sam?"
One-One said, "I'm not sure, but we best change locations in case that figure leads the Empire to us."
"I agree", Obi Wan said.
Sam whimpered in Obi Wan's arms.
Obi Wan did his best to comfort the boy.
After calming Sam down, within an hour, the small group was on the move….
But two days later, Obi Wan would see for himself just how dangerous the curse placed upon Sam was….
….
Two days later….
Obi Wan was currently cleaning up the old house they were staying at.
One-One was helping Obi Wan clean up the house.
The two then heard Sam crying…. In pain.
They quickly ran to Sam's room!
Sam was on the ground, thrashing about. Obi Wan ran to Sam!
"Papa….", Sam whimpered and let out what sounded like a…. Growl?
Then two black and green antlers began to sprout from his head!
Obi Wan gasped in shock.
Sam's body was then covered in a black and green smoke as he grew in size!
One-One said in fear, "what's happening!?"
The smoke then cleared…. Sam looked MUCH different. They were a foot taller, with long antlers, glowing yellow eyes, sharp teeth, and limbs resembling that of an extinct creature called a deer.
Obi Wan said in shock, "Sam!?"
Sam snarled and ran under his bed like a gremlin.
"Oh dear, this must be the work of that curse", One-One exclaimed.
Obi Wan knelt by the bed with a worried expression and said, "Sam?"
Sam hissed as he raised his claws.
Obi Wan shuffled away from the bed.
He asked, "One-One? Is there a way to fix this?"
One-One searched for something in his database until he came across something.
One-One said, "this is a curse of Nightsister origin!"
Obi Wan said, "what!?"
One-One said, "I've been looking over my data. It matches!"
Obi Wan asked, "can you explain more about this curse? How do we cure Sam? Is there a cure?"
One-One said, "it appears that this curse is caused when a Kyber Crystal is bonded with an unknown force entity. Luckily, there is a recipe to suppress the effects."
Obi Wan asked, "which is?"
"An Elixir mixed with Blue milk", One-One said.
Obi Wan quickly ran to his kitchen.
He quickly ran to the fridge and took out a carton of Blue milk.
He asked, "what do I mix the blue milk with?"
Obi Wan then saw a Jogan fruit on the counter and that gave him an idea.
He asked, "is the elixir fruit based?"
"Yes, according to my data, any fruit can be used, but most like to use Jogan Fruit", One-One said.
Obi Wan thought, 'jackpot!'
Obi Wan then quickly grabbed the Jogan Fruit. He began to squeeze it into juice.
After he was done, Obi Wan then mixed the juice with the Blue milk.
He shook it in order to thoroughly mix it together.
"And done", Obi Wan said as he then ran back to Sam's room.
He gently placed the elixir in front of the bed, hoping Sam would grab it and drink it.
Then a clawed hand grabbed the elixir.
It quickly pulled the elixir under the bed.
Obi Wan could then hear that Sam was drinking the elixir.
Obi Wan and One-One glanced at one another.
Then there was a bright glow from under the bed.
One-One said, "oh my…."
Obi Wan looked underneath the bed and saw that Sam was back to normal.
Sam whimpered as he crawled towards Obi Wan.
Obi Wan picked up Sam and held him close.
Sam whimpered, "Papa."
"Shhh…. Shhh…. It's okay Sam", Obi Wan whispered.
Obi Wan held Sam close.
Sam hugged Obi Wan as he kept whimpering in fear.
Obi Wan whispered, "it's going to be okay, Sam…. I promise."
But deep down, Obi Wan felt like he failed once more…. Sam was now cursed!
And he had no idea if there was a way to remove the curse from Sam. His regret kept piling up.
….
Padme asked, "woah, so now dad in the story is cursed like graunt Eda?"
Luz said, "yep. This'll be a big part of the story."
"Cool", the others said.
Luz smiled as she continued the story….
….
Some time later….
Obi Wan is seen speaking to Bail over a hologram.
He had explained the situation to Bail.
How Sam was now cursed and he had no idea if there was a cure.
Bail said, "this is most troubling…."
"And the worst problem is, I have no idea who the cloaked figure was that cursed Sam and I don't know why he did it", Obi Wan said.
Bail said, "whoever he is, they did this for a reason."
Obi Wan said, "but why?"
"I don't know. But know this; I will help you with supplying the materials you need to make the Elixirs for Sam", Bail said.
Obi Wan said, "thank you, Bail. I don't know how I could ever repay you."
"There is no need, I'm glad to help a friend", Bail said.
Obi Wan gave a small smile.
Obi Wan asked, "how is Leia?"
Bail said, "she's a little angel…. When she's not getting into trouble."
Obi Wan chuckled and said, "just like her mother…."
Bail smiled.
He then asked, "how is Luke?"
"He is doing great as well, he's also showing signs of wanting to become a pilot", Obi Wan said.
Bail chuckled and said, "it seems like Luke and Leia are both chips off the blocks."
Obi Wan gave a small smile.
He was grateful to speak with Bail.
He at least had someone else other than Sam.
He hoped the future would turn brighter….
