This story was created during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA & WGA strikes. Without the hard work of these incredible unions, the world of Star Wars The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Ahsoka wouldn't exist. I felt this great disturbance in the Force. Something was seriously wrong. I could feel it happening all around. Worst of all, I could feel him.

Something was happening with Anakin. His very essence was changing, and I wasn't liking it at all. I knew that I had to go help him, but first, I had to tell Rex what was going on, so that we could work together. However, when I went to tell him, I could feel that deep within him, he was greatly conflicted. Something was changing within him too, and I wasn't liking where this was going.

"Rex, it's Anakin. I feel like something terrible has happened." I told him, as desperately and passionately as I could.

Rex didn't respond. He just stood there, his back turned to me. Then, I could feel the disturbance again, only this time it was much closer than what I had been feeling. I then watched as two clone troopers turned to face me, with their blasters drawn and pointed right at my head. I was shocked and confused. We had just captured Maul. We had a way to unlock the mystery of Darth Sidious at long last. I would get to return to Corcusant and see Master Kenobi, Master Yoda, and others face to face for the first time in a long time. However, this wasn't the confident mood we were all just in. This was something else. Something far more sinister.

"No. I'll do it." Rex said, confidently but rather sternly.

"Rex? What's happening?" I asked him, as I was greatly concerned for his well-being.

"Stay back…" Rex warned me, as he was stuttering some, struggling to get the words out.

I could feel the conflict in Rex. It was like it was an entirely different person on the inside than the one I got to know for such a long time. This wasn't Rex. Something was wrong. Very wrong.

"Fives, find him. Find him. Find him!" Rex exclaimed.

Before I could even get a chance to ask him what he meant, both he and the troopers beside me began firing at me. I quickly activated my two lightsabers in defense. I quickly knocked Rex down, and start deflecting shots back at the two troopers firing at me. I then force pushed them back, before I shut the door. I then shouted Rex's name, but before long more troopers came in, and started firing. Before long, Rex was firing at me again as well. As I was standing there deflecting shot after shot, I was asking myself: Why was this happening? Why are the soldiers who I had fought side by side with suddenly turning against me? Who was responsible for this? Those were all questions I had, and right now I didn't have any of the answers, but I knew that I had to try and find out at least some of the answers, and I knew I had to make a quick escape, before I winded up dead, so I jumped right up into the shaft, as there was smoke all around me, so they wouldn't be able to see that I had escaped until it was too late. Once that was done, I knew that I had to try and find how and why this was happening. I may not have been a Jedi, but I was being hunted down as one, and I was determined to figure out what exactly it was that caused all of this to happen. It was either I find this important information out, or I would die alongside what I assumed at the time was many other Jedi, and I chose to try and see if I could perhaps find a way to stop this from happening any further, so that no more innocent lives were taken out of the blue…
