Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here. Back With another story. This one is about RWBY. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum and a few others do.

The black-skinned monster descended on the town like a shadow. The only reason one noticed the creature that ripped into a dozen buildings with a sadistic glee that none matched? The cries and screams of terror seemed to press the beast onwards in its wanton destruction. A rampage perpetrated on the people whose only crime against it until now had been it simply beenexisting.

Still? They hadn't simply thrown their lives away and let the descending beast slay them all. Every huntsman and huntress in the city had thrown themselves at the beast which advanced on them with spear and weapons were drawn to delay them from their prey.

One of them was the father of one Lie Ren. The man was armed only with a dagger, yet he faced the giant monster that screeched at him and the city with a stoic nature. He was determined not to let this monster harm his home and his family despite their best efforts.

He attacked the monsters around him with a calm demeanor despite the honest terror in his fellow neighbors.

One of those reasons was simple. If he showed any fear or lack of negative emotions? The monsters were to descend on them like a shark to fish carrion when it came down to it.

Little Lie Ren simply cowered as would any child as the giant Grimm laid waste to the city and its defenders as it prepared to destroy the rest of the city. Its eyes focused on the man who dared to defy it from its rampage which would have claimed many lives if it wasn't been stopped.

Still? Today wasn't to be a day for celebration or glory for his side as Lie's father was soon to fall. He watched as his wife who spirited their son away run. His only duty was to protect his wife and son from the monster. The horde of Grimm might have claimed his life… But it wouldn't claim theirs. That was the only thing he'd make sure for a fact.

(With Ren)

A Ren ran farther into the city while the Grimm let out a roar and swiped at her former home. Ren shifted in fear in her arms while she sprinted farther into the burning and collapsing town.

She hushed the child in her arms who didn't know what these monsters were. It didn't surprise her considering she and her husband had tried their best to keep both from finding out about the harsh realities of the world and the monsters that prowled it.

She made that she hadn't a chance to protect her only child. She hadn't the training that a huntsman like her husband had. She only could flee and ensure that her son had managed to enjoy his life without their sins.

The best way to do that in her opinion? Let her son flee and escape this when it came down to it. If she stayed here and let him do something when she considered it? He'd die for nothing and she'd be left with nothing in her life and nothing that allowed her the peace of mind to at being serene when she died.

"Go find your friend, ok?" She asked as she let her son down to the ground as he did so. " Don't let them hunt you down. Find your friend and run. Don't look back, ok?" She asked while she frowned and stared at the carnage of the attack.

She'd be lucky if he did so. If she hadn't the fear of him being hunted down and killed? She'd go after him. There was not a chance to do so. It would compromise his safety and that was the last thing she wanted at the moment for him.

Still? There was more than enough assurance in her stance to tell that she cared for him. She knew he was going to be ok when it came down to it. He'd be ok and that was enough for her when it comes down to it.

She watched him sprint into the city ruins with all too much. He wanted to best to do next. He needed to escape when it came down to it.

Author Notes

Phew. The first chapter is done! I wanted to make another RWBY story. I wanted to make possible a Warhammer and RWBY story. This isn't going to be a Warhammer/RWBY story, though. The next chapter will end up being in 2-10 months and will set up the other character and Nora when it comes down to it. it will also be 900-6500 words at the moment and it might be delayed and all that. Until then, Lighting Wolf out. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
