I DO NOT OWN THE SELECTION SERIES. SHOUTOUT TO TAMSYZ AND LOGANPERDUE FOR CRESTING THESE CHARACTERS.
Schreave Palace. Sacramento, Province of Angeles. 1 week and 2 days into the selection.
On the night of the appointed slumber party, Crown princess Sybil arrived at Selene's room wearing a matching set of purple pajama pants and top. When she opened, Sybil had a smile on her face.
"I hope I'm not late." Sybil said with a grin.
"You? Never." Selene teased as Sybil walked in and closed the door, feeling a bit nervous. Her eyes were on Selene, who was wearing a night gown with a robe on top. After discussing their options for the evening, Sybil decided to have Selene do her makeup. After about 10 minutes, Sybil looked in a mirror and saw herself all dolled up.
"Do I look pretty?" She asked, looking at Selene.
"What do you think?" Selene asked, trying to get Sybil to form her own opinion
"I guess I do." Sybil replied, unused to having her own opinion on anything.
Selene smiled "I'm glad you like your new look."
"My mom would probably be thrilled to see wearing makeup for a change." The princess replied with a wistful chuckle as she laid her head on Selene's legs.
"Do you really want to talk about your mother right now?" Selene teased.
"No…I want to talk about you…and me." Sybil decided, looking up at Selene.
"What about us?" Selene asked curiously.
"You think there could ever be an us?" Sybil asked awkwardly as she played with Selene's fingers.
Selene let out a sigh. "Sybil, you're trying to rush things again." she pointed out. "We barely know each other."
"That's a fair question," Sybil groaned as she sat up. "If you weren't at least opened to the possibility of a future with me, why did you apply for the selection?"
"Is it?" Selene questioned, raising an eyebrow. "Because, as far as I can tell you're trying to pressure me to express feelings that would have hardly had a chance to develop."
"Because I'm trying to be optimistic that I might be able to have some happiness out of this selection!" Sybil exclaimed, getting off the bed; fighting to control her emotions. "It's getting late and I'm sitting in on a privy council meeting tomorrow; I bid you good night."
"Good night, then." Selene shrugged as the princess of Illèa quickly made her escape.
1 week and 4 days into the selection.
Sybil was wearing a shirt purple dress for her dinner date with Irradia Poder. She needed some romantic time after having to eliminate the girls from Kent, Labrador, and Lakedon. The princess of Illèa marveled at the singer from Paloma who was wearing a silver dress as they sat down to eat. The meal for the evening was gourmet tacos with red wine.
"I have to admit…I missed seeing you, Irradia." Sybil would say with as she ate.
"I missed seeing you too! This food looks amazing, thank you." The singer from Paloma said as she drank.
"Thank you, mom only lets the chef make Tacos on Tuesdays, so this was good excuse to get them early." The heiress to the Illèan throne replied with a chuckle. The couple ate quietly for a few minutes before Sybil spoke up.
"Irradia…I wanted to apologize." Sybil said softly as she sipped her wine.
"What for?" Irradia would ask, tilting her head.
"When I…threw myself at you and asked you to take my virginity right off the bat. It was wrong." Sybil admitted with embarrassment. "It's just…you're one of my biggest idols and if I had to do it…it would have been nice to have my 1st time with you."
Irradia would smile softly, "I'm grateful you think of me highly… but honestly your highness, I think you should wait until you know for sure…"
"That's what Selene Moore said.l,but I'm tired of waiting!" Sybil replied anxiously. "Everyone said that when you have a selection, it's gonna be all passion and romance 24/7…but it hasn't been."
"I just don't want you to regret anything in the end…" Irradia would say softly, "You should enjoy your first time."
"The only regret that I would have is waiting until my wedding night to have any intimacy. I want to experiment and explore all that the world has to offer before I'm tied down to someone for the rest of my life." Sybil explained, eager to drink in life's experiences. "I've lived in this palace all my life, there is so much I haven't seen or done. Commoners can go where they please, do what they please…I cannot."
"It's not easy being able to do whatever you please." Irradia would respond, "It's overwhelming at times."
"I'm sure it is…but don't I have right to know for myself how overwhelming life can be, as opposed to just taking another's word for it?" The princess said.
"That is true." The singer replied.
"Anyway, I didn't new to pressure you Irradia…I just want to be close to you…if that's not what you want, I understand." Sybil said, the sting of Selene's rejection still fresh.
"I would love to be close to you, Sybil." Irradia smiled. After their meal was finished, Irradia and Sybil remained to have another glass of wine. Eventually, they scoffed closer to each other.
"Irradia...can I kiss you?" Sybil asked as Irradia nodded with a smile. Sybil leaned and kissed Irradia passionately. Thankfully, the kiss was return with equal passion.
"I can't tell you, how many times…I'm dreamed about doing this." Sybil said with a giggle as she broke the kiss and looked in Irradia's eyes.
"Im glad you liked the kiss" Irradia chuckled slightly.
"Should we stop for tonight, or do you want to go to one of our rooms, so the servants don't gossip about us in a dining room?" Sybil asked, not wanting to go any farther than Irradia would permit her to.
"We can do whatever you want to do." Irradia said.
"Irradia, I want you so bad…but I don't want to rush you…" Sybil said, wanting to go further, but the words of Selene Moore still in her ears like a unpleasant aftertaste.
"Trust me, i don't feel rushed. Do you feel this is rushed?" The singer asked gently.
"Maybe a little…but just because I've wanted something like this for so long." Sybil replied as she looked into Irradia's beautiful eyes. "I thought about you, your voice, your touch, never thinking it would actually happen. That it was just some celeb crush. But…now you're real."
"Syb..." Irradia whispered as she
"Irradia…I still want to give myself to you." Sybil said nervously. "No matter what happens, no matter who wins, you have the most private, most intimate moment of my life, but i won't force you to take it."
Irradia smiled. "Then if you want it, I want it, Sybil. I want to make you happy." Sybil gently took Irradia by the hand and led her to her master bedroom where they could share the moment alone.
