Hello everyone. Here i am again. With the first chapter of the sea battle. I hope you all enjoyed it. Just a note. To some of those who have sent ideas, I will be using them in alternate story, just so you all know if that's okay.
The Ultimate Battle Part One
Lo'ak struggled to find a source of air. He saw Roxto and Atuiko trying to swim back to him through the kelps. But he heard a submarine coming and looked towards them. Shaking his head, he signalled: Go. It's coming. I'll be fine. But the boys refused to leave. Go! He implored and started swimming the other way and the other submarine started following him instead. The boys tried to follow him but a crab suit forced them to take cover again.
Sylwa and Tsireya dodged crab suits when suddenly a submarine shot a float torpedo. It pierced the back left fin of Tsireya's ilu and it squeaked as it was lifted up the surface. Tsireya slipped off. The crab suit suddenly made a grab for her when Sylwa rode back and pulled her to safety. But they were running out of air.
Lo'ak was running out of her air. A crab suit was just about to grab him when the bubble spirits came out of nowhere and blocked the windscreen, giving him a chance to escape. He saw Tuk swimming over to a giant air pocket beneath a kelp seed pod.
Kiri gasped for air. So did Aonung. Then Roxto and Atuiko did. "Tuk, has anyone seen Tuk?" Kiri asked.
"No," Aonung shook his head.
"We have to help Lo'ak," coughed Roxto.
"A submarine chased him," panicked Atu. "I hope he's okay,"
Tuk gasped for air, but she felt scared. Something splashed behind her. She screamed.
"It's okay Tuk," soothed Lo'ak. "It's me,"
Just then Sylwa and Tsireya emerged from the water, having sent their ilus off to distract their pursuers whilst they replenished their air. But lights were waving underneath the water. "It is coming!" Tsireya panicked.
"We have to swim for it!" Sylwa inhaled deeply and everyone copied her. They dived underwater, swimming past some kelp when a submarine came out of nowhere and shot a net at them. The girls were caught but Lo'ak managed to squirm out. He pulled out his dagger to cut the ropes when two Ikran dived into the water, carrying Recoms – the same ones that had captured the Sully children before in the forest. Their steeds grabbed the nets and hauled them out of the water, Lo'ak clinging tightly.
"Cut it!" cried the girls. Lo'ak tried to chop the net bindings but the Ikran carried them straight to the daemon ship and dropped them like caught fish. The girls were grabbed but Lo'ak took a stand, snarling. He tried to swipe at one but he was disarmed and pinned down on the back.
"Lo'ak!" cried his twin. She and the other two tried to fight back too but they were manhandled.
"Stop!" cried out a voice which the Sully kids recognised instantly. "Don't hurt them!"
The twins turned to see it was Spider rushing in. He tried to help them but he was manhandled by four men.
"Spider!" cried Sylwa. She was suddenly hauled up by her queue causing her to scream out.
"Don't hurt her!" he shouted. He hated all his captors for treating his surrogate family like this. For months he had missed them and after seeing them again he was not going to let anyone hurt them.
Quaritch dismounted his Ikran and looked at his men. "Take him to the bridge and keep him there!"
"Let go of him!" screamed Lo'ak trying to help him but he was pinned down again. Quaritch then knelt down, looking wickedly at him.
On the other side of the ship, sound waves of echolocation vibrated through the waters until…echo. Two finned ears poked out of the water hearing a wicked voice. "I remember you. You're him. You both are,". The next voice was snarls. The hearer recognised one. Lo'ak. His eyes frowned. Nobody hurts my brother.
Before Quaritch could give out another order, they heard a loud roar and a splash and a huge creature shot out of the water and onto the deck of the ship, knocking down soldiers with his long tail, swiping at them with his claws and shooting harpoons from his mouth, wounding them instantly.
"Tsu'tey!" Lo'ak cried out.
Quaritch saw Lo'ak's loving eyes reaching out towards the Taquamare as he fought the soldiers trying to save him and his friends. He instantly recognised the connection between them. He snarled. He grabbed Lo'ak by the queue and shouted, "Hey!" whilst the twin screamed out in pain. Tsu'tey saw Lo'ak held captive and snarled. He tried to leap forward but he stopped when Quaritch held a knife under Lo'ak's chin. "Stand down! Or he gets it!" Tsu'tey snarled with his long sharp teeth and tongue. He didn't move. Quaritch pulled harder and Lo'ak screamed out more. "Don't test me!"
"Lo'ak!" cried Sylwa, trying to help him but another Recoms kept her captive.
"Don't! Tsu'tey don't!" begged Lo'ak. But Tsu'tey couldn't let the cruel Recoms leader kill him. He couldn't lose him too. He couldn't see him hurt. Again. He let down his guard and backed down. Lo'ak could do nothing but tearfully watch as the Recoms and men held up guns ready to shoot him down.
"Don't shoot it," Quaritch ordered. "Chain it down. It needs investigating. Who knows what kind of resources it could be harbouring like those cowardly whales,"
"No!" Lo'ak cried out loud, refusing to see Tsu'tey being dissected for anything humanity could get their hands on inside him. The men threw chains and ropes over his spirit brother before muzzling his snout. They battered him. They tasered him. They chained him to the ship, forcing him to lie on his side whilst his feet were bound together. "Let him go! Let him go!" he could feel Tsu'tey's pain and it made him cry. The girls were heartbroken seeing this too.
"Cuff 'em up!" Quaritch shoved Lo'ak forward. The avatars tied him, Sylwa, Tuk and Tsireya to the railings with plastic cuffs.
Tuk cried out, "No!", scared to death.
"Let us go!" cried Sylwa, afraid for her loved ones and for Reya; it was all helpless.
Lo'ak looked back and saw Tsu'tey's yellow eyes reaching across to him, wet, sorry. He felt tremendously guilty. "I'm sorry!" he cried out.
Quaritch cruelly forced his head forward before turning his head again to the soldiers later. The leader then approached Tsu'tey who growled behind his muzzle. "I ain't never seen a thing like you before," he glanced coldly at him again and then back at Lo'ak who a sneaked a peek back at him. "The scientists will definitely need to examine you,". The Recoms had never before seen anything in his life. An animal with yellow eyes like his enemies, who had a strong link to another Navi without needing a connection between their queues. Loud yipping filled the air and in the distance, the whalers saw a small army of Navi on Skimwings flying towards them. Their leader's eyes narrowed at a certain rider. "It's Sully,"
Jake saw specks of blue on the ship and yelled out: "Stop them!"
Tonowari raised his hand and instantly the Skimwings landed in the sea and they just stayed where they were floating. "Why are we stopping?" demanded Soxato, afraid for his sons.
Jake peered through the telescope on his gun. "They got our kids," a pit formed in his stomach. "Your daughter,". Tonowari and Ronal snarled, but inside they were afraid for their daughter. "Tuk. Lo'ak. Sylwa,"
Quaritch saw Sylwa's communication collar, which she had brought with her in case the boys got worried and she could tell them where she and Tsireya were, and pulled it off, choosing to communicate to his arch enemy through it. "Jake. Tell your friends to stand down. You want your kids back. You come out alone," he pulled out a gun. "You know better than to test my resolve,".
Sylwa's heart jumped when she felt the barrel pushed into her head.
Tsrireya shouted "No!"
Lo'ak flinched. "Let go of her!" he pleaded.
Jake flinched seeing his daughter being threatened and he lowered his gun.
"I took you under my wing, Jake. You betrayed me. You killed your own good men, good women. You betrayed your entire race. And for that, I will not hesitate to execute your kid," Quaritch's threatening words made his heart quiver. "Just one," he begged, wanting time.. All that time ago when he betrayed the RDA, it seemed like it was easy to betray them, to join the Navi and stop them from destroying Pandora. But now that act of betrayal had led to all of this. And now his kids were paying the price for his crimes against the same people he once worked for. And there was only one way out if it meant they would live. "Hold here," he told the chief who blocked him with his spear.
"They are killers of Tulkun," snarled Tonowari. "They must die. Here. Today,"
"They will not live another moment," growled the general, thirsty for blood.
"It's me that they want!" Jake confessed. "That's what all this has been about aright. The hunting of our Tulkun. The taking of our kids,"
The leaders were shocked. All that time he had known that they were actually after him.
"You brought this upon us!" growled Ronal. "You!"
"I told you he would bring trouble here!" General growled and snarled at the chief for refuse to listen to him before. He was fuming with rage. His suspicions were right. Jake had brought his family to their island knowing full well that he was being sought out and now it had led to this. "And look what he has done!" He glared again at Jake, who hung his head with guilt and shame "We give them what they want!"
Jake knew exactly what he meant. "Then it's me they'll get,"
Tonowari puffed out angrily, then pulled his spear away.
"Last chance Sully," called back Quaritch, pushing the barrel deep into Sylwa's skull. "What's it gonna be?"
Jake pressed his fingers to the com around his neck. "Take your fire. I'm coming out,". He slung his rifle behind his back and started riding off alone to face his fate, the outraged Metkayina looking at him as he was going to give himself up to save them.
Up above Neytiri flew behind the rocks ands behind the ship but was distressed when she saw her mate riding out to the daemon ship alone. "Ma Jake, what is happening?" she demanded. "Jake,". Down below, Jake hung his head unable to answer. He had brought this upon everyone. He realised at once that Sylwa was right all alone. Running was never the answer and now it had led to this moment which there was no going back.
Deep under the water, Payaka with the calf looked upwards and to the former's alarm, she saw Sylwa captured, held down by a weapon poking into her head. Fury filled her eyes. You must hide. She ordered to the calf.
But what about you?
I cannot let them hurt my spirit sister. Go and hide by the rocks. I'll find you. I promise.
Roa's calf swam away. Payaka smashed her head against the sand, crashing the coral. She couldn't lose anyone else again to those monsters. She rocketed up through the water and splash. "Payaka!" cheered Tuk. Sylwa watched in wonder as her spirit sister leapt out of the sea, landing on the deck with a crash, slamming her massive body against some soldiers. Her spirit sister stood stunned, still cuffed, as she fought against the Sky People to protect her and her loved ones.
Nobody hurts my sister and friends! She swiped at them with her fins and her tail, making some little machines bash about all over the place. But the soldiers fired on her. She covered her eye with her fin but she screamed as the bullets struck her thick hide.
"Paya!" cried out Sylwa. She kicked one soldier in its robot suit towards her and she slammed him down. Lo'ak kicked another one, helping her too.
Take that. Payaka swished her tail against a metal bridge and some Recoms and men were knocked off. She then swiped some robot machines, destroying some machinery.
Jake saw this was his chance. "Hi yah!" his Skimwing flew above the water, snarling. The Metkayina this was their chance too and they rode out to battle. Tonowari and Soxato battled-cried raising their spears. Ronal hungered for blood, desperate to avenge her spirit sister.
Speed boats circle around the ship. A cruel Whaler with a mask over his face aimed a tornado harpoon at Payaka. "Got ya,". He fired but Payaka saw it, ducked her head and it bounded off her head crest, blasting a section of the ship. Payaka then dived underwater, knocking more machines damaging them.
The Navi army charged but bullets were shot at them form the guns forcing them to dive underwater. A chopper shot at them but Neytiri shot it down with her mighty bow, yelping in victory. As the speed boats zoomed over the water, the Navi leapt out of the water on their Skimwings taking out men with their arrows and spears. Tonowari roared as he pierced one into the water. The vengeful Ronal leapt out on her steed and took one down with a throwing arrow. Soxato took three out with his might spear too. Jake exploded many with his guns; but Quaritch flew over desperate to kill him for good.
Down below, Kiri and the boys were swimming when they were spotted by a submarine. They swam to a grove of tree-like anemones which Kiri connected her queue to, causing them to glow bright; she faced the submarine. The boys twisted their heads in confusion wondering what she was doing. They watched in wonder as Kiri raised her hands causing a nearby anemone to wrap its tendrils around a submarine and smashed it against some rocks. Then seconds later when a man tried to escape, she threw her hands forward again, making the tendrils tied around him like an octopus.
But more crab suits were coming. She couldn't do this alone. Atuiko glanced around but saw something underwater. Several eyes. Bright red. He got a plan. He grabbed a piece of rock from the sea anemone grove and dropped it down. He then motioned his brother and their friends to follow him. They swam away. Just as the crab suites were about to attack them, a giant colossuses swam out of the deep and grabbed them, sucking the drivers out. With that distraction, they swam up to the surface.
The main speed boat led by their main whaler Mick Scoresby, shot at Payaka. So did two other ships. They knew at once that she was the Tulkun who attacked them earlier to save the calf and right now the man was fuming with rage. And so was she for they had killed her mother and her pod, caused her banishment and threatened her friends, her family. She rammed her side into one boat causing it flipping over a wreckage of another one. Then flipped her tail, causing another one to fly into the air onto the daemon ship and crashed into one of its four turbine engines, setting it alight.
Now Mick was fuming mad. "Got ya!" he was desperate to kill her. Boom!
Payaka dodged the torpedo harpoon and then grabbed the wire with her three jaws before rotating around in the water and lassoing it around her head crest. She swam at a fast face dragging the boat behind her until crash! She pulled it onto some rocks crashing it. But the men weren't dead. She dived underwater and then shot back up, looping high and over the befuddled men. The wire lassoed over the small boat and as she dived underwater, it started to slice it in half and Mick's hand was caught. With a flick her head, Mick's arm came clean off and he went flipping into the water.
On the deck, Lo'ak and the girls tried to break free. So did Tsu'tey. But their bindings were so tight. Suddenly the ship started sailing forward at an extremely fast right and they were heading right towards an uplifted section of rocks. "Brace yourselves!" cried Sylwa. The boat was launched into the air and the kids felt themselves flying off their feet, clinging to the bars by their bindings…until…crash!
They crashed onto more rocks and they felt the ship falling back slightly. It was severely damaged. "We've got to get free!" Lo'ak pushed his feet against the bar and tried to pull free but it was no use.
Just then Neteyam appeared out of the water on his ilu and leapt onto the deck. "Neteyam!" cheered Tuk joyfully.
Neteyam pulled out his knife, then cut Tsireya and his youngest sister free. "Get Tuk out of here!" the girls jumped into the water. He then cut the twins free. "Who's the might warrior?" he teased.
"Bro, hurry up!" begged Sylwa.
"Alright you big baby," he cut and her twin free.
Once Lo'ak was freed, he instantly rushed over to Tsu'tey, much to the rejection of Neteyam. "Just hang on. I'm gonna get you out," He undid his bindings and Tsu'tey stood up. He pulled the muzzle off and he threw his arms around the Taquamare, hugging him tightly. "Bro,". Tsu'tey purred and he pressed his long face against his back and embraced him back with one of his front legs. "You came for us,"
Of course, I came for you. I'd never leave you behind. Tsu'tey brayed truthfully. I'm so sorry I hurt you. I'm so sorry for everything…
Lo'ak let go and held his snout. "I don't care what happened back there. You're my spirit brother. That's all that matters to me,". He hugged him again.
"It's good to see you boy," Sylwa came over and hugged him too. The Taquamare purred, touched by their love for him.
Neteyam just stood there staring at them, feeling left out. "Enough of this lovey-dovey with you two it's time to go!". Tsu'tey sneered at him. "Don't you growl at me, brother-stealer!"
"Teyam!" berated Sylwa. Lo'ak was flabbergasted.
Tsu'tey was offended by his jealousy. He growled. Neteyam snarled. Quickly Lo'ak got between them, desperate to not see them fight the same way Jake did with Tsu'tey. "Come on you two. You're not gonna fight like this!" his spirit brother backed down not wanting to do another fight and accidently hurt Lo'ak again.
"We gotta go," urged Neteyam.
"Not without Spider!" Sylwa argued. "We can't leave him!"
"It's dangerous! We can't help him!"
"No! We're not leaving him behind!" she refused. "If this is the only chance we have to get him back then we can't miss it,"
"So long as we have Tsu'tey, we have a chance," said Lo'ak gesturing to his spirit brother who stood tall ready to help his friends reclaim their close friend. He would fight against those soldiers and protect them with his uncountable abilities.
"We are not doing this. It's too risky," refused the stubborn Neteyam. "Why can't you two just walk away from this?" he was already mad at them for leaving the island in the first place.
Sylwa fumed. "Then be a coward and flee. As least he wouldn't hesitate to help any of us," she snarled, outraged at his choice to want to leave Spider on the ship. Heedless of how her words hurt her brother, she turned and dashed off, her twin and Tsu'tey (who growled at Neteyam for his envy towards him with his despicable accusation and for wanting to leave a friend behind) following her. The eldest Sully kid growled in frustration. He turned his back. If they wanna die, so be it. He told himself. He ran towards the railing and prepared to jump into the ocean. But he didn't. Something held him back.
The twins snuck to the lower decks, Lo'ak grabbing a gun from a fallen soldier. They heard voices. Spider's included. Tsu'tey was close behind them. They saw a bars and left up climbing carefully upside down. Tsu'tey crawled like a lizard with his sticky feet close behind. They were right over the lower deck when Spider was with seven other men. Lo'ak twisted his head to Tsu'tey and nodded. The Taquamare dropped from the ceiling and squashed three men below him. Then Lo'ak and Sylwa leapt down and they punched some more men and kicked some over bars, knocking them out until they were all down. Then Tsu'tey shot a harpoon out of his mouth and killed a soldier nearby right in the chest.
Spider was overjoyed to see his best friends again. They pulled him into a tight hug. "I've missed you guys so much," he felt like he could cry.
"We missed you too, buddy," Lo'ak cheered. They laughed, so happy to be together again. The twins were determined they'd never let Spider be taken from them again. Tsu'tey stood up and snorted gently.
"Who's this?" Spider asked, curiously, seeing the resemblance in their eyes and the kind face.
"This is Tsu'tey," introduced Lo'ak.
"Hello," Spider greeted. Tsu'tey licked his mask and purred into his stomach making him laugh. "He's beautiful," he stroked his snout and he purred.
"He says: 'He likes you'," Lo'ak smiled.
"Did they hurt you?" Sylwa asked, expressing all that worry that had plagued her for months.
"They tortured me back at their compound but I'm okay," he assured. "They didn't hurt me anymore after that,"
"You're wearing my wrap,"
Spider realised he was. During his captivity, Quaritch had given him the pink wrap he had pulled off Sylwa, the eclipse he had captured them. And to try and persuade him with a fatherly approach, he gifted it to his human son who took it. Not out of generosity but out of the fact that this was the only thing he had of his best friends who he loved like family. "Here. You should have it back,"
"No. Keep it. It suits you,"
"It's good to have to back bro," Lo'ak patted his back. "Now let's get you out of here,"
Look out! Brayed Tsu'tey. He leapt and pushed them to safety behind cover as Recoms started firing at them with guns. But he remained ready to protect them. Stay down. He implored the children. The twins understood but Spider didn't. They nodded. And so did he.
That's the next chapter done. What did you all think? Please let me know what you all thought. What did you all think of the new dialogue? Thank you all so much for your support and reviews. Hope you all all enjoyed. You can count on the next chapter coming later this week. See you all soon
