Tae dragged Liam out from the hallway that connected to the dressing room, and then out in the main area of the stadium. Everything would have gone fine, but it seemed like the other members of the boy band decided to come back from wherever they all went.
With an abrupt stop at the door, Tae inadvertently caused Liam to collide into him, both nearly toppling over in the process. Tae gasped, quickly checking if Liam was alright before turning his attention back to his bandmates.
"Uh... Hey guys!" Tae stammered, offering a nervous chuckle.
Jesse eyed him. "Uh... Tae who's this...?"
"Um, no one!"
Jesse blinked and then glanced at Robaire and the Aarons. "Tae..." Jesse said, turning back to Tae. "You can't just burst out of our dressing room area, dragging some guy with you, and claim he's 'no one.'"
Tae blinked. "I- ... Um..." He looked back at Liam, then out to the doors that exit the stadium.
Liam nervously looked at the other members, waved at them, and smiled awkwardly, Then, Tae abruptly announced, "I'm taking him to the library!" and forcefully pulled Liam along, resulting in another startled cry from Liam as he was dragged away.
Robaire, Jesse, and the Aarons just stood there watching., until Tae and Liam had left. It remained silent until:
"PIFFFTTTTT!" Aaron T busted out laughing once Tae left the building.
Jesse blinked, utterly perplexed. "What the hell just happened?" he asked, turning to Robaire.
"No idea," Robaire chuckled.
"Is Tae dating a fan again...?" Aaron Z said shaking his head.
"Well, that was embarrassing..." Tae commented, his hand covering his face. His other hand had been gripping Liam's.
"Those... were the other members of the boy band?" Liam asked. Tae nodded. Then, he looked down at Liam's hand he was holding. He let go. "Sorry about that, just let's walk, the local library is close by," Tae said.
As they walked, Liam looked around. He looked back at the stadium, then up. He gasped. "Wait... I didn't know that building was in Toronto..." Liam said.
"Huh? What building?" Tae followed Liam's gaze. "Oh! That," Tae said. "Yeah, that's the CN tower, I believe it's the tallest building in Toronto."
"Follow me, the library is just down the street," Tae said.
As Liam followed Tae, he looked around at his surroundings. "Wow..." He said to himself. All these tall buildings around him. He hasn't been to a city all that much. He's been to Salt Lake City just once, his uncle brought him there one year. He loved his uncle. They did a lot of fun things together. Looking at the tall buildings loom over him, was making him recall those happy memories when he was alive.
Liam didn't realize Tae was watching him. "You alright?"
Liam looked at Tae, he didn't know that his eyes were swelling with tears. "U-Uh... Yeah, totally," Liam spoke.
"You sure? Your eyes... are tearing up," Tae spoke, he came near Liam and walked alongside him.
"Yeah, I'm fine!" Liam wiped his eyes, "Just allergies..." Liam lied.
Tae tilted his head, but then he nodded. "Okay, if you say so..."
As they continued to walk, Liam noticed everyone walking around, but they were passing Tae Young like they didn't know him. "T-Tae... You're famous right?"
Tae blinked and looked at Liam. "Uhhh... Yes? Why do you ask?"
"Everyone is just walking by you, like they don't even realize that you're here," Liam pointed out, a hint of surprise in his voice.
Tae giggled. "Yeah, I guess because since 4 Town is a little local here, no one really cares that we are here anymore. Trust me, there are still some fans who go crazy when they see us, I love them all," Tae said with a smile. "And that mostly goes to Mei and her friends."
"Mei?" Liam asked.
"Yeah, one of our fans. Mei, and her friends Abby, Pyria, Miriam, and Tyler. Oh! And her two new friends they made a few months ago, Carter and Thomas," Tae said smiling, seeming like he really loved those specific fans of theirs.
"Huh... wow, you remember all their names?" Liam asked. "Trust me... If I didn't remember their names, something would be wrong with me." Tae said with a small laugh.
Liam tilted his head at that, he was about to ask Tae what he meant by that, but then he heard Tae mention about the library. "There it is!"
Now they were in the library, Liam was sitting at a desk, near some bean bags the library had put down on the ground. He was waiting for Tae Young to come back with the phone book. "Here, I found one, phone numbers across America," He said as he sat the book down at the table. He stood behind Liam and looked over his shoulder. "What you said? You wanted to call Freddy something?"
Liam nodded, and he turned the pages. He flipped through until he reached the letter F.
"Let's see..." Liam said as he traced his finger along the page. "Frank's Pool Supplies, Franklin's Burgers Frederick's Furniture, Fred's Animal Hospital, Freddy's Pizza..." Liam gasped a bit. "I think I found it..."
Tae peered closely. "Well, copy down the number and head to the phone booth over there," Tae suggested as he fished some quarters from his pocket. He handed them to Liam along with the phone book. "Here, take these too," he added, nodding toward the booth.
Liam took the quarters and the phone book, then entered the booth and closed the door behind him. He stared at the phone book, and then proceeded to dial the number.
"Ok... let's hope this is it..."
Liam sat there, waiting until someone answered. "U-Uh... He-Hello?" Liam spoke.
"Hello there, This is Freddy's Pizza... uh... Where are you calling from? The number seems to be... out of the area," The man on the other end said.
"Uh... Yeah, I'll get to that," Liam said. "This... This is Freddy Fazbear's right?"
"Freddy Fazbear's? Uh, no. This is just Freddy's. My last name isn't Fazbear," The man said with a small chuckle. "Are you calling out from, the state to order for someone? Ugh, Michael this better not be you playing a prank on me,"
Liam blinked, a bit taken aback. "Uh... No, it's not... I... Wait, not Fazbear?"
"No, sorry, sir. This is just Freddy's," the man confirmed.
"Do you... have animatronics? Possibly... a certain missing rabbit?" Liam pressed, hope swelling within him.
There was a moment of silence on the other end.
"Animatronics? No, sorry. We are not that type of pizzeria. Definitely not ShowBiz. Besides, all of those types of restaurants closed down in the '90s, except for that one with that rat thing that's still around," the voice explained.
Liam blinked, his hopes quickly diminishing.
"Are you still looking to order something? We have a nice special on pepperoi—"
Liam hung up the phone, feeling defeated. He looked down at the phone book, scanning the page once more. Freddy's Pizza was the only entry he found. There was no other indication of Freddy anywhere. He closed the book, took a deep breath, and stepped out of the booth.
Tae was still sitting at the table, waiting for Liam. He noticed him coming over. "Any luck with what you needed?"
Liam shook his head, "No... that's not the right Freddy..." Liam spoke. He shook his head, "This is so weird... I don't even know most of these other places here... I see that most of the addresses are in Hurricane... but I've been all over that place, I've seen none of this..."
Liam sat down at the desk. "This isn't right... it's... It's like I jumped into... Into a..."
"Another dimension?" Tae asked looking at Liam.
"Yeah, that's... That's right..." Liam said. "Weird..."
He looked at Tae. "Uh... why are you looking at me like that?"
"Maybe you did,"
Liam blinked. "Maybe I did? Come on, crossing dimensions? That's some... Sci-fi crap,"
Tae Young shrugged, "Come on, let's go back to the SkyDome, I want to show you something,"
Once they reached the stadium, Tae was going to show Liam the thing he was planning to show, but the rest of the members were inside, sitting on the stage. Aaron Z was holding one of the balls from the ball pit. "Why was all this on the ground?" Z said as he threw the ball into the air, and caught it, and he repeated doing that.
Liam gasped a little as he saw. Because he was sure that ball pit was actually very dangerous.
Tae and Liam were at the entrance to the stadium, and with how they were positioned, the other members did not see them. Tae grabbed Liam's hand again. "Over here," He whispered. Once again, Tae pulled Liam's arms. "Ow!" He yelled.
Liam could only just follow. But then, he saw the thing that Tae was taking him to.
That shack that had the weird door that was placed in the middle. Tae walked up to it and went to touch the padlock. "Wait... why is the padlock off?" He said, but then he seemed to dismiss it. He opened the door. "You see that inside?" Tae said quietly to Liam.
Liam tilted his head. "Yeah?"
"Well, that door that's inside, leads to another dimension,"
Liam blinked. "You're joking...?"
"No, I'm not,"
Liam narrowed his eyes. "Okay then, prove it," He said folding his arms.
Tae sighed. "I can't, it's sealed off,"
"Hmm, sure," Liam said continuing to fold his arms.
"No! I'm serious! Mark and Sora didn't want to leave it open! To... keep away that dark thing to have access to this place. And just to keep the frame safe, he asked us to board off the door from the outside with this shed," Tae said.
Liam wanted to doubt this, but Tae looked very into what he was saying. "Okay, let's say that this is true... why are you so calm with it?"
"Well, I, and the rest of 4 Town, accidentally got mixed up in... a world-traveling craze. I mean, we did just explore only one other world, but one was more than enough," Tae explained. He looked at Liam. "You are trying to get back to a place that you can't even find in the phone book... it's possible it doesn't exist in this dimension,"
Liam looked at the door frame. "This... this is weird dude..." Liam spoke.
"I know," Tae said.
"Ok... so... if this is a doorway to other worlds... Can I use it to like... get back to mine?" Liam asked since he really wanted and needed to get back home.
Tae slowly shook his head, "I'm sorry, but you can't."
"W-Why not?"
"Because as I've said, the door is sealed. Mark would be the only one to open it, and he doesn't stop by often. You're stuck with us until he shows up,"
Liam felt like he needed to sit down. "This is crazy... I... "
"Look, I've noticed you didn't really have any reaction seeing me, or the other members. This means you don't know who we are... and I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging, but we are world famous, and everyone knows us. You had no reaction seeing us... Which further proves that you are from a different world," Tae said as he leaned on the wall of the shed. Liam watched him. Then, he looked down.
"You're right," Liam said, "I never heard of you..."
There was a silence for a while, but then Tae broke it.
"And what's with your hairstyle? So 80s..." Tae giggled.
"8-80s...?" Tae asked.
"Yeah, that mullet style is so 80s dude," Tae laughed a bit more.
"80s? Do you mean like the 1980s? Yeah, well... It is 1987, well, the last time I checked." Liam spoke. He wasn't one to keep on looking at the calendar at night back home in the pizzeria.
He noticed Tae watching him. "Wait...?" Tae tilted his head. "What did you say? 1987?"
"Yeah, that's the year, right? Or did a whole year go by and I didn't know?"
"It's... 2003..." Tae said.
Liam blinked. "Come again?"
"It's 2003..." Tae said again, with a small giggle. "I'm... guessing the two dimensions are different times,"
Liam shook his head, "What in the Marty MacFly is this..."
"Piffft," Tae snorted. "Well, that's one way to put it..."
"So you're telling me I'm in the future?!" Liam yelled.
"Hey, don't sweat it too much, this future is probably different than what your future will be, since it's two dimensions, it's not a part of each other. Mark's world was in the future too, like 2022 or something like that,"
Liam just shook his head, "Ok... I really need to sit down..."
"Just don't faint on me..." Tae chuckled, "Come let's take you back to my dressing room I got a couch in there," Tae stopped leaning on the wall, and took Liam's hand, but then he looked down, as his foot stepped on one of the balls. "Huh?" He bent over and picked it up. "What's this?" He asked. "This looks like a ball from a ball pit, strange..."
Liam noticed the ball. But then he noticed more. 'Geez, how many balls fell out from the pit?' He went to pick it up. But, he got a shocking surprise as he touched it with his bare hands.
Liam felt a shock go through his arm. He tried to yell, but then he couldn't. His arm changed into Toy Bonnie's arm, and then so did the rest of his body. Then he tripled in size, then he was literally looming over Tae Young.
Liam felt nervous. Tae didn't hear, or see what had happened to him. Liam wanted to speak, but he couldn't. He couldn't talk to other human beings when he was Toy Bonnie. He never could. All that came out, with a bone-chilling moan.
"Hm?" Tae Young said, and he turned around. Tae saw Toy Bonnie's blue legs, he blinked, then slowly looked up.
Liam saw Tae's head slowly looking up to his head.
Tae's eyes widened, since, all he saw was Toy Bonnie's mouth wide open, with pitch-black eyes with a glowing ominous white light inside each eye socket.
Tae slowly backed away.
Liam wanted to talk, he didn't want Tae to feel afraid, but he couldn't talk, All that was said, was a moan again. Liam tried and tried to talk as much as he could, but there were just garbled sounds, and his head started to twitch, and glitch.
Tae yelled after seeing that. "What are you?!" Tae yelled. "Get away from me! Liam! Where did you go!?"
'No! Tae! It's me!' But Liam was only saying that to himself. Tae couldn't hear him, he was just hearing the possessed side of him.
Liam tried to walk forward, but the creaking joints of the animatronic, cracked and shook as Liam moved Toy Bonnie forward. Tae screamed and ran into the depths of the stadium. "Liam! Where are you?!"
'No! Tae wait!' Liam yelled.
Liam was getting even more worried, he really didn't want to make Tae scared, but his anger and uneasiness were transferring to his spirit. He couldn't control how unstable he was getting. He kept on shaking and vibrating. The animatronic mask kept on glitching and exposing the metal endoskeleton, and internal wires.
Liam tried to fight it, and he stepped forward, holding his head. The animatronic whirred, and clanked as Toy Bonnie inched forward. 'Tae... please... You're the first human I've talked to in so long...' Liam couldn't help it, it felt like he passed out.
"You're not who I needed..."
Liam opened his eyes. His head was down, and he saw a red bow tie and blue plastic feet. "I'm... still this damn monstrosity..." Liam said, "Tae... where are you-?" Liam looked up, then gasped. "Ahh!?" Right in front of him, was that golden rabbit.
"What did you do with him?!" The rabbit yelled.
"Ahh! What?!" Liam stepped back and nearly fell over.
"Oswald! I was supposed to lure him... and I got to you instead..."
"I-I... who?! I don't know who you are talking about!" Liam yelled.
The animatronic before him glitched and twitched. "You did something! I know you did! You're just like Charlotte and the rest he killed... "
Liam tried to push the rabbit, but then the rabbit managed to combat him and shove him into the wall. "Look at you... Just as strong as the rest. Maybe even stronger... But you're still no match for any of us..." It said. "You better find me Oswald... Or else..."
Liam felt the rabbit grab his neck, and it felt like he started to choke. Which, shouldn't have been possible. He was Toy Bonnie- He shouldn't feel physical pain. Liam tried to shove the robot off of him, but he couldn't-
Liam opened his eyes with a gasp.
"AHHHHH!" Liam heard someone yell. His eyes darted down towards Tae Young who had fallen to the ground. But it wasn't just him there, it was the other 4 Town members who were around him.
"Holy shit what is that?!" Aaron T yelled.
"Are you sure it just appeared?" Robaire asked Tae.
"Does any of that matter?! It looks awake!" Jesse yelled after.
'Oh no...' Liam said to himself. 'They're not aware that it's me...'
"Where did that boy you were with go?" Jesse asked Tae.
"I don't know! He just disappeared then this weird thing showed up!" Tae said to him. "His name was Liam, he's from beyond that-," Tae pointed to to the shack.
Robaire gasped. "A-Are you sure?"
Tae nodded.
Toy Bonnie started to glitch again.
"Ahh! It's doing that thing again!" Tae yelled as he hid behind Jesse.
