On the floating island of the Omurice Kingdom, the rice folk were all excited about the upcoming coronation of their soon-to-be queen. There was almost not a place on the island where such conversation is not heard.
Somewhere within the rice fields, a group of rice people were talking about the coronation starting in a few days and how they planned to celebrate the momentous occasion. However, one rice person approached the group and abruptly inserted himself into the conversation. He tried to change the subject about how amazing he is. That is Riceman.
Riceman, a rice person who loves being the center of attention, would often try to make himself the subject of interest whenever he can, much to the annoyance of everyone around him. As a result, those around him would either ignore him or drive him away. Irritating the group and shunned, Riceman walked away in a huff, believing that he could be just as amazing as the kingdom's royal family if he had the wealth. It was at that moment, Riceman came up with a devious plan to get the attention of his fellow rice folk. As he walked towards the castle, strange shadows cast over the rice fields headed towards the same direction.
Some time later scaling from the heights of one of the castle towers, Riceman wore a black ski mask and tied one end of a long rope around his waste and the other end around a castle battlement parapet, planning to break into a window opening beneath and steal some treasure. However, he miscalculated the rope's length, crashed against the wall beneath the opening, and let out a cry of pain. A moment later, his smooth egg-shaped body slipped from the rope and fell into a trash bin coincidentally placed at the bottom.
Meanwhile, within the castle walls was the young ruler-to-be Milky Queen whose coronation was just a few days away. Unlike the other rice people, those of royal blood take on a more human-like form; hence, Milky Queen's physical appearance as a human. While it is her role to become the next ruler of the Omurice Kingdom, Milky wasn't happy with the idea and believed there must be more to her life than just ruling a kingdom. She was curious about the world beyond the island and wanted to learn more about it. To see it up close with her own eyes.
However, her lament was soon cut short when strange sounds from the sky came closer and closer and screams were heard. Milky headed outside to see what the commotion was about, only to be shocked by the sight of sheer horror.
Strange flying metal contraptions were seen landing throughout the island with men in uniform marching out of them, capturing every rice folk in sight and setting the fields ablaze. Very soon, those who landed ontop the castle spotted Milky and took her handcuffed into one of the aircrafts.
Meanwhile in a nearby trash bin, Riceman regained consciousness from his fall and focused his sights on the first thing he sees: a large treasure chest being carried by the men into the aircraft. Riceman was unaware of a handcuffed Milky Queen walking ahead of the chest and the rice people getting captured.
