"Alright, Winona. Now which way do we go?" Big Mac wondered as he took out his map and looked at it.
He and Winona came to a fork on the road and are trying to figure out which way to go. He looks at the two roads and at the map on his hoof.
"Okay, the map says to go this way." Big Mac said as he points to a darker path which leads to Everfree Forest
Winona whines and barks a 'no'.
"Come on, Winona, the map says this way." Big Mac took the lead and started to head down the road.
Winona whimpered and whined about the idea but she couldn't really do much. Half way down the path, Winona's ears perked up and started to growl and whine at the same time while she looked around worriedly to which Big Mac noticed. Whenever Winona acts like that, it means that something isn't right.
"What is it?" Big Mac asked worriedly as the hair behind his neck was on edge.
But that's when he heard a growl which made his grass colored eyes widened in fear. His ears flicked to where the sound was coming from but he didn't see anything until he saw pairs of red dots staring at them from the darkness. When more howls were heard, Big Mac instantly took off. Big Mac had to leave his wagon behind as he continued to run.
The temperature suddenly dropped as he continued to run on snow covered ground. He then sees a castle up ahead and quickly runs towards it with Winona. But once they arrived at the gates, Winona whined and took off running back the way. Big Mac slipped on some ice and looked to see Winona running away from the castle and back home.
"Winona! Winona!" Big Mac yelled but Winona didn't even turn back.
Big Mac sighed and got up on his hooves before he started to walk to the big doors of the castle. The wind was chilly and blowing hard which made his hat fly off and it also caused him to cough. He will probably get a cold from this. When he made it to the door, he was shivering and knocked on it before entering the place.
"H-Hello? Anyone h-h-here?" He called as he was shivering.
"Be quiet! We don't want him to hear us!" A voice hissed from a nearby table.
"H-Hello? W-W-Who's there?" He called as he walked towards the table.
"Stay absolutely still!" The same voice hissed.
"Why are we staying still again?" Another voice asked curiously.
"Because we don't want him to see us. Now be quiet!" The first voice told the second one.
Big Mac went to the table and grabbed a candle with his hood and moved it around to shine some light in the situation.
"Look! He's got Pinkie Pie!" Big Mac looked for the source of the voice only to look down to see a small bell talking and looking up at him.
"Y-You can talk?!" He cried in alarm.
"Yup!" The bell giggled.
"T-This is incredible! How is this possible and how did they get it to work?" Big Mac wondered as he set the candle, Pinkie Pie, down and looked at the clock which was a rainbow colored one.
He looks at the clock over before looking at them but his nose starts to itch and he lets out a sneeze and sniffles.
"Oh boy. That's quite a sneeze you did there! You need to get warm. Follow me! Let's take you by the fire!" Pinkie Pie said as the clock seemed nervous and fidget on her place while glancing at the upper levels.
"I-I don't think that's a good idea, Pinkie." The clock said.
"It'll be fine, Dashie. Come on." Pinkie Pie reassures her as she leads Big Mac to the fireplace.
"Thanks." He said as he followed the candle.
They entered a room and the candle bounced to the chair by the fire and gestured for him to sit down. It was quite big but comfy. As soon as he sat down, a stool came in and started to bark happily at Big Mac.
"Why, hello there." He pets it.
"Oh no. Not the king's chair." The clock gulped fearfully.
Just as Big Mac was wrapped in a warm blanket and served some tea, the doors suddenly flew open and the cold wind blew in. The objects in the room all turned to the door in fear as a teacup even hid behind a teapot as the fire was put out by the cold wind.
A dark shadow loomed on the chair as it entered the room. Claws on both paws, eagle-like wings on the back and a horn on the forehead.
"I can sense someone here." The creature growled.
"King Sombra, I-I can explain. He was lost in the woods and-" Pinkie Pie tried to explain nervously.
"Silence!" The creature ordered which shut her up.
"I'd like to say, Your Highness, that I was against this from the start." Rainbow Dash said nervously.
Big Mac looked from one side but when he looked to the other, a pair of red eyes stared right at him with teeth bared into a growl.
"Who are you and why are you here?" He growled with narrowed eyes.
"I-I was lost in the w-woods. My companion ran when we were chased and I n-need a place to s-stay. I promise, I-I mean no h-harm." Big Mac stuttered in fear.
"Need a place to stay, huh? Well, I'll give you one." He growled and used his magic to levitate Big Mac and walked out of the room with the objects to watch helplessly.
