Chapter 9
Sukuna and Gojo were not the only ones to wake up in an awkward situation.
Megumi has been doing so for weeks now.
No matter what happens, despite going to be in his own room, his own residence. He always wakes up here.
Here… being the nursery.
But not just him either, he's trapped. With one arm over him protectively, his father held him in place. Pinning him from all angles were his siblings, he was in the center of it all! 'Damn it, if I move, everyone wakes up…'
He has tried countless times to prevent this, and yet, as soon as he falls asleep, Megumi wakes among this pile of siblings. Were they the ones doing this? He can't see his father doing something so trivial. However, no matter what happens, he's trapped. 'I need to get out of here, but when I move, they get all upset and make that weird whimpering sound…'
No one is in their right frame of mind when he wakes them. They all appear dragon like, and make this strange noise. It sounds so pathetic and yet, he feels compelled to stay when they do. Problem is, when he does. His father keeps bracing him closer and refuses to let him go until he truly wakes up and is in his right frame of mind.
Megumi closed his eyes once more, he tried to rest but found that he was seeing something odd… another room perhaps. 'I would be nice if I could get there and slip out of this…' he thought.
"AAAAHHHH!"
Megumi suddenly woke, startled, confused and sore!
Yet, as he sat up, he found Suiryu knocking out the door and appeared ready to fight. That is until he saw him on the ground.
Suiryu froze, he bore a very confused Itadori look. "Megumi?" he asked.
"Daddy, Megime ate my bonkie!"
Looking about, Fushiguro realized he was in Suiryu's daughter's room. He sat in a broken rabbit cage that was tucked in the corner of it. "Suiryu… I… I don't know how…"
"Take it easy, I got a notion, but, let's get you out of the corner there…" with his hand extended, Megumi got to his feet.
Covered in rabbit straw, food and other things, Megumi bushed himself off as Suiryu brought him into the kitchen. "Set an extra plate, we got company" he called.
Nobara froze as she saw Fushiguro standing there.
Chiyo however, pouted. "Uncle took my bonkie…" she said.
Nobara snorted a laugh. "I can't get over that," she said.
"I know, right!" Suiryu snickered. But he was quick to sit next to his daughter and explain. "Your bunny came from Megumi, we didn't ask for his permission to keep it. Also he made them, it's only fair that he takes it back when he is ready to do so…"
"I want a new bonkie!"
"I think we got to look into a pet…" he muttered to Nobara.
Megumi however sighed to it all. "I don't even know what happened!"
"I'll tell you, your rabbit escape, does what it intends to do. They have become portals if you will, you had three of them out and focused on one, that focus brought you to the rabbit in Chiyo's room." He explained. "So, rabbit escape got kicked up a notch there."
"But, I didn't know this would happen!" he protested. "How do I even know what I am capable of doing now… nothing is the same as before!"
"Trial and error." Suiryu said bluntly. "You have to figure out your power. It's still similar to curse energy… just on steroids"
"Ugh!" he moaned and went face first into the table. "I never asked for this!" he protested.
"And yet, here we are." Suiryu stated as he sipped his green tea. "Besides, this is the LEAST of your worries!" he said and smirked at the notion.
"What are you talking about?"
"You've been sleeping in a pile, haven't you? With your siblings and old man?"
"Ew" came out of Nobara.
"Back off, dragon thing, it's brooding. It's how the siblings bond with older siblings!"
"Brooding?!" Megumi demanded.
"Yep, I've seen it, every night, your old man waits for you to fall asleep, then he goes in, swoops you out of bed and brings you to the nursery. The siblings follow close behind him once he has you and you all sleep together like a happy family!"
He makes this sound so simple.
"I didn't ask…"
"Of course not, your old man does this to ensure there is peace in the family"
He sighed aloud. "I didn't ask to know why. Look… Suiryu… I don't want to be a dragon! I hate it! It's confusing… it's embarrassing… I don't even know what I am doing with myself!"
"Girls, let's let Daddy have some alone time with Uncle Megumi" Nobara said gently.
"Awww!" protested Nao.
"She thinks I am going to swear…" Suiryu explained as Megumi appeared confused to the odd outburst.
When the girls left, Suiryu glared at him. "What's really going on here? Are you that pissed off that you have become a dragon? Or are you pissed off that you have no control over your power like you use to? OR, are you pissed with yourself that your shikigami made your body and you felt that was a forced decision?"
Megumi froze oddly. "How are you asking questions like Yua?" he demanded.
He bore a rather smug look on his face. "I told you before, she's like a mom to me. I learn well from my mothers." He decreed. "So, what's the real story?"
He shied away.
There has been so much on his mind, Megumi hasn't been able to tell which way is up half the time. "It… feels like the time Sukuna took possession of me," he said honestly.
Suiryu leaned in. "Go on," he said gently.
"I… I can't control this… it's like someone else is doing it for me! At the same time… I don't understand why this is happening… I don't want to change any more than what I have become but… AHCHOO!"
He sneezed and sprouted his floppy, pointed ears again. "See!" he protested and pointed to the ears.
Suiryu sighed.
"You still haven't accepted this." He said gently. "What's controlling you right now is yourself, at the same time. When your mind wonders… that's your shikigami acting to your will. Why did you suddenly end up in Chiyo's bonkie cage?" he asked but giggled. "God I love that word now…"
"I didn't intend…"
"No, but you were thinking of escaping something right? Probably the brooding pile you woke up in… by the way, we need to step outside…" Suiryu stood and began to make his way to the back door. Megumi followed out of confusion, yet, once he walked out of the house, Megumi was nearly bowled over!
He was ensnared in powerful arms as he was gathered up and held close, before a growl escaped. He peered up and saw his father was acting odd again.
"Dad! Let go!" he protested.
"Toji, calm your tits, he's fine. He came here on his own!" Suiryu protested.
The growling subsided, then… "Ugh… oh… hey sport"
Megumi got out of his arms, yet his father was confused. "Huh… how did I end up here?"
Suiryu sighed aloud. "I think we need to make dragon classes or something…"
Suddenly, Megumi's father bore a wicked grin. "Oh, I just saw something interesting on my way over here…" he said as his smile grew. "You're going to want a camera…"
