This was a fun chapter to write. I really enjoyed it.

Three weeks later

Ducking her Hinata's sword strike, Mika popped up, peppering her with three harsh chakra enhanced punches that hard her flying back a few feet. Flipping over, Hinata settled on her feet, scowling. "It is disorienting using a blade, when I have been told to use only my Gentle Fist my entire life."

Mika sighed. "I feel the same, almost naked without my blade."

Yugao, AKA Cat, laughed. "You need to be able to use anything to win. All ANBU need mastery of a blade and and Mika your taijutsu is good, but you need more strength to really capitalize on it. Now, continue."

Groaning, Mika threw a kunai a the girl. "Shadow Kunai Clone jutsu!" Turning one blade into a dozen, forcing her to slash that various weapons away, giving him the chance to replace with the closest weapon and grab her wrist, pulling hard on her chakra. She groaned as her chakra flowed into his arm, replenishing his stamina.

"I hate that!" She called out, before slashing at him. He punched her wrist hard, disarming her before twisting her arm back and kicking out her knee.

"I win!"

She laughed and he felt a kunai at her thigh. "It's a tie." she had reached around and placed a blade against him.

Sighing, they both pulled away, bowing at each other.

Yugao hurried close. "Mika, excellent but you need to rely a tad more on raw power, you cannot always find a smart way around your enemies. Hinata, you need to adapt a but more, Mika could have killed you with that move. Still, you've both made significant progress, you are getting better. I say in six months, you'll have enough to be Special jonin, in a year full jonin. Provided you have enough missions. Speaking of, I wanted to ask you both about something. How do you feel about learning medical jutsu, even on the side? You both have the control for it. It would make your lives far easier, trust me, in and out of ANBU. All missions could use a medic."

Both nodded, without hesitation." Sounds great."

"Good, we will dedicate a few hours to it, each week. If you excel at it, we will discuss more lessons later. Until then, I want you to join me on your first ANBU mission, village patrol. As a high ranking ANBU member, I tend to guard important areas. Hospital, Hokage office, Academy. Today is the Hospital. Get cleaned up, we are to start in twenty minutes."

Rushing onwards they readied themselves for their first ANBU mission. A simple introduction to what would be a life altering part of their lives.

All seemed well as they moved silently through the shadows, moving up and down streets and into the dark places to monitor the Hospital they were guarding. At least until a potent pulse of chakra filled the air, several actually. The three ANBU rushed upwards, just in time to see Sasuke and Naruto, idiots they were, rushing at each other with a Rasengan and Chidori in their hands.

Yugao snapped out. "Get them down!"

Both trainees rushed forward, and in swift motions put both boys down. Mika moved with blinding speed, getting behind Sasuke and twisting his wrist away before kneeing his kidneys. The pain canceled the technique as Sasuke screamed in agony, Mika forcing them to the roof with a kunai to his throat. Naruto's Rasengan was canceled when Hinata jabbed his shoulder, but for good measure she flipped him on his back, knee on his throat.

"What are you idiots doing?" Mika snarled, grateful for his mask altering his voice making it metallic and false. "You should be quartered for endangering everyone here, if the explosion from your techniques damaged the hospital you would be." Mika sniffed. "I smell ash, did you cast a fire jutsu, Uchiha?" Mika tightened his grip, making Sasuke call out.

"STOP!"

"That's enough!" Kakashi, who body flickered nearby, said. "They are my students, I will_'

"NO!" Yugao said. "I outrank you, Hatake. You have given them far too much room to act up. They endangered everyone in the hospital for a pissing match. It is disgraceful, and even more they almost killed each other. They will be punished."

Hatake sighed. "Fine... let's go to the Hokage."

Hinata roughly pulled Naruto up, who was shivering in shock and fear. "Let's go."

Sasuke tried to pull away from Mika, only for him to tighten his grip and put the Kunai very close. "Give me a reason, Uchiha, make my day. I am not in the mood to deal with stupid. Oh and in case you were not aware, we all outrank you, so I would advise you to behave."

The Hokage was not happy, her killer intent was impressive, Mika actually saw his death, a first for him. "Give me a reason I should not demote you both from active duty!"

Naruto babbled. "But Granny!"

She glared at him. "You endangered the hosptial for a pissing match, as much as I love you I cannot and will not tolerate that. You WILL be punished, both of you. Dock a week pay, and you will be doing D ranks for the next month. I cannot express how disappointed I am. I would advise you never do that again, or there will be incredible consequences. You are dismissed."

Sasuke stormed out and Naruto slumped off, looking like a sick puppy.

Mika sighed. " They are going to be an issue."

"Agreed." Tsunade stated. "Mika... Hinata, I fear that Sasuke is a defection risk. I cannot order you to watch him just yet as it will interfere with your first month's training, but the moment you are done with your first months training, you will be stationed to watch over him in separate shifts. He needs to be watched and you two are the only ones I have free to watch over him."

Both teammates nodded. "Yes ma'am."

"I only hope it will be enough... and Kakashi, they are right, you gave your team too much room to be snots. We will discuss that later."

Kakashi's face was priceless. Mika would remember it forever.
