"Mom, please."

"Are you listening Katie? It can not be true!"

It was almost noon when the chosen kids had accompanied their new partner to her house. Before hearing the story, Katie's mother complained about the girl not being in school; She thought for a moment that Rex had something to do with it, since she could see the rest of the kids. The lady also thought that the thing about the school being half destroyed was a lie.

"Ma'am, it's true," Rex tried to explain.

"Okay, show me," Katie's mother responded.

Rex hesitated: what if taking out his Pokephone and transforming caused the lady to panic? a heart attack perhaps? However, as I was holding it thinking about what to do next, a police siren sounded and, in the next second, the entire neighborhood was surrounded by these units, only... they weren't exactly police: the black vans and cars were part of the police force of American secret forces. Several men, in black suits and dark glasses, then got out and surrounded the house and the people in it.

When the boys prepared to fight, the man who seemed to be the leader of those special forces raised his hands, as if in surrender.

"Excuse me guys, but we're not here to arrest you," he explained, "We want your help: the president wants to talk to you personally."

"How do we know they won't do anything to us?" Luke asked, suspicious.

The man in black looked at Rex.

"Because he's grateful for what you did for him," he said, "And he wants to help you end this."

"So… is it true?" Katie's mother asked.

"I told you, mom," her daughter responded.

Then, without objecting, the boys were taken by special vehicles to the white house. However, at no time did they ask them strange questions or take away their devices or briefcase. Once they reached their destination, the boys were a little distracted when they saw how clean, orderly and rigorous the stay in that place was. Finally, and after many stairs and corridors, they found themselves in the presidential office itself, where one of the most important political figures would see the faces of the 7 chosen ones. On a table in front of the office, there were cookies and juice.

"Welcome my friends," she told them, turning to Rex. "First of all, I want to thank you for saving my life. "Sit down, eat and drink a little, and don't worry, I just want us to talk."

Then, assuming that everything was fine, they sat at the table where they had been told. For a moment, they thought the food would have some kind of sleeping pill, but then they realized they were delicious. While they were eating, the president said to them:

"Guys, we need to know what's going on. "We suspect that it is a terrorist movement made up of descendants of Nazi generals who survived the world war."

The kids did not answer immediately. Rex, thinking that it would be better to cooperate with him, he raised his hand and spoke:

"Yes sir. We believed that they are, as far as we know…"

"And, tell me, are these creatures that have attacked… Pokemon?"

"Yeah…"

"But what relationship do they have with you?"

Now, the boys had the doubt: should they talk about the Pokemon world? Without having any other option, each of them explained the existence of that Pokémon world, as well as the friends they met... trying to explain and emphasize that the Pokémon did not really want war and were only manipulated by those terrorists. Katie, being the new one, listened to everything with attention and disbelief, since she felt very new compared to Rex.

On the other hand, once the conversation was over, the president seemed quite fascinated with the story. Any adult, if he had not seen what had happened in the last few days, would say that these are things that children or crazy people make up, but what happened that day was real.

"Are you sure Pokemon are good?" he finally asked, "Well, don't worry: I believe you. The best thing I can do for those who have fought so bravely without killing their opponents is to believe them. Now, I want to make you an offer…"

There was a minute of silence as they listened to what he was going to say.

"I want you to be part of our army," he said, "With you I command it, we could stop a possible war…"

Rex raised his hand, as did the others. The president then let them speak.

"With all due respect, sir," Rex told him, "We are here to help, but being part of an army is already using Pokémon for a war… it is something that we want to stop and not imitate. We are part of their family, and we do not want to hurt them or be against them."

The president seemed reflective upon hearing this, turned his chair and looked at a photographic frame. In this, he showed himself with a wife and two children, apparently his children. Then, he turned to see the chosen kids.

"I have a family too and I also want my children to grow up in a world of peace…" he commented, "Well, you don't have to be part of our army. However, our objectives converge: we want to stop this and you are the only ones capable of helping us, can we help you with something?"

"Well... we're looking for the bad guys' base: we need to destroy whatever they transport to the Pokemon world," Zack explained.

"Well, you're in luck: we've located you after sending your last batch of Pokemon. We were planning an attack, we thought they could help us. If you wish, we will not hurt your friends, but we will take you to your base, do you agree?"

The kids looked at each other... there is no doubt that this alliance was strange, but if they wanted to get to the bottom of this, they had to do it. Furthermore, the secret of the existence of that world was no longer a secret. Of course, they had to keep their devices with them at all times.

"Yes, please," Mina said, "We must stop this."

"Well, it's decided. For now, relax and in an hour we will take you to the enemy base."

(Meanwhile, at the base…)

"Sir," said one of the scientists, "We have bad news: the chosen children have allied themselves with the North American forces, and they already know of the existence of this base."

The boss was unfazed by these words. However, after a few seconds he responded:

"Start moving everything to our base on the other wolrd. If they arrive, we will leave under their noses"
