Team RWBY is back and ready for their second semester at Beacon, an academy that trains the world's strongest fighters.

But in real life it doesn't stop, between classes and homework, they still have to find time to save the world.

And between the White Fang and Roman Torchwick, they certainly have their work cut out for them!

However several airships have arrived at Beacon Academy, and Headmaster Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch are surveying the situation from Ozpin's office.

The two talk about General James Ironwood and how he runs both a school and a military and often brings his work with him wherever he goes.

Ironwood then enters the room and is greeted by Ozpin and a rather blunt Glynda who walks out, seemingly annoyed, as Ironwood makes note that she has not changed at all.

Ozpin and Ironwood then engage in a conversation, with Ozpin pointing out that he is concerned about having a military fleet outside his school. Ironwood says that concern is what led him to bring said fleet to Vale.

Ozpin brings up that the world is currently living in a time of peace and says that shows of power will give off the wrong impression, especially since the Vytal Festival, a celebration of peace between kingdoms is coming up.

Ironwood brings up a warning made by Qrow Branwen, but Ozpin interrupts him, saying that if what Qrow said was true, it should be handled tactfully.

The two discuss the topic a little more, and as Ironwood leaves, he asks if Ozpin truly believes that his children can win a war. As soon as Ironwood exits the room, Ozpin answers that he hopes they never have to.

As the elevator closed, Ironwood received a message from his scroll.

Meanwhile at the landing docks of Vale, a bullhead takes off leaving a cyan peaked cap hat huntsman with a black cloth wrap around his left eye and a gray sunglasses on it, carrying a duffle bag on right arm.

He was wearing an form-fitting, double-breasted three-tone navy blue and gray leather tunic jacket with blue interior lining and two-layers of flares that hung the entire bottom of his jacket around his thigh, befitting his more militaristic mindset. His rounded collar up to the shoulders of his jacket was navy blue with the two-tone gray colors at the rest of his jacket, with an Atlas emblem medal on his left breast.

His dress pants were a matching navy blue to the tunic and mounted a small maroon pouch belt at the left thigh. The back of his tunic has a cyan wilting rose emblem with ink black nightshade stem and flower sigils. Completing this outfit with plain white gloves exposing his wrists, along with twin maroon crisscrossing utility belts that hung a sheathed chokutō(Alpha Omega) on his left, and a navy blue and ink black-lined drape retaining the blue thorn sigil on his right. Finally, he still wore his blue-soled black shoes.

He was in awe of the beauty of Beacon, tall spires, impressive architecture and a clear blue sky visible beyond the tall clocktower.

A ring notification interrupted his moment of enjoyment.

He pulled out his scroll from his right pocket of his pants and seen the message:

'Mission Begins Now' - General

"Orders received." thought to himself as he begins march towards the city

Meanwhile in Beacon library, Team RWBY is playing Remnant: The Game, while Team JNPR read books at a table nearby. Jaune Arc attempts to join in on playing the board game but is turned down by Ruby Rose because they have four players already.

He and Weiss Schnee banter with each other, and Jaune accidentally reveals that Weiss had told Team JNPR that Blake Belladonna is a faunus, much to Blake's discontent.

Sun Wukong arrives and introduces Neptune Vasilias to Team RWBY. After Neptune flirtatiously introduces himself to Weiss, Sun greets Blake, only for her to leave, much to the former's confusion.

Later, Blake sits alone in Team RWBY's dorm, remembering some memories of her mother and father arguing when she was at her home, staring at the hateful gaze of the enemy while they clashed, a friend turning into a monster, a White Fang grunt dying unmasked, innocents dying in the fire while crying.

She was having an panic attack but thankfully her team enters the dorm reminding herself to keep her composure, luckily for her none of them notice her trembling emotion because of their discussion about the board game.

Blake attempts to sneak out of the room.

However, Weiss stops her in her tracks and reminds her that she made a promise to let her teammates know if anything was wrong. Blake finally explains that she is worried that the local huntsmen and police cannot handle the White Fang and Roman Torchwick.

She goes on to say that she thinks their enemies are planning something big and points out that their enemies are not going to wait for Team RWBY to graduate. Ruby asks her teammates if they want to work together to stop Roman and the White Fang, and they agree.

Before they can start thinking of a plan, Ruby remembers she left her board game at the library and rushes out to get it, before bumping into some other students from another academy.

They claim that they are visiting from Haven Academy, leading Ruby to assume they are visiting for the Vytal Festival.

Ruby then tells them that they are in the wrong dorm and gives them directions to the transfer students' dorm. One of them thank her and states that they may meet again, and as they walks away, Ruby welcomes them to Beacon.
