Harry Potter looks out through the window of his dorm room before shifting to memory of him huddling alone in the cupboard suddenly a hand touched his shoulder causing him to look up and see a smiling Naruto Uzumaki holding out his hand which he took causing the darkness to vanish.

it had been a few weeks since the incident with Harry and the snake at the dueling club and despite Kushina's words saying that Harry was telling the snake to stand down most of the student body was giving Harry the cold shoulder
mostly out of fear seeing as the last person who was a parselmouth that went to Hogwarts was the dark lord himself
but thankfully Naruto Ron Hermione and most of the Gryffindors seemed to have Harry's back
Hopefully everything would be ok once the polyjuice potion was ready which Hermione was preparing in moaning Myrtle's bathroom which nobody ever entered thanks to the ghost in there
today everyone was in study hall looking over their notes for class but Harry kept pausing to look over his shoulder at the table across from them where a group of hufflepuffs were sitting and looking at Harry with looks of suspicion and fear
Hermione and Ron gave Harry looks of pity at this but Naruto looked annoyed at this before he also looked at the table of Hufflepuffs
"Can we help you with something?" Naruto asked with a hard tone as he glared at the hufflepuffs table
the Hufflepuffs all quickly turned around at this as they all felt a shudder at the glare Naruto was giving them
Naruto nodded at this before he went back to his work before he noticed the others looking at him "what?" he asked
"You just glared at a whole table like your mum" Nevvile said as he looked at Naruto with wide eyes
"bloody brilliant" Ron said with a smile at this
"it's not a good thing Ron" Hermione said with a hushed voice
" they were annoying plus you want me to really be like my mom give me I'll need several clamps a blunt weapon and a place to bury the witness" Naruto said with a grin
thus git a snort of laughter from Ron while Neville fell out of his seat in surprise at how casually Naruto said this
"You are so immature" Hermione said as she shook her head and went back to her schoolwork
"I'll see you all back at the common room" Harry said as he stood up to leave
"I'll go with ya just in case I need to practice my stabbing" Naruto said with a smile as he looked at the Hufflepuff table again which caused several of them to start to shiver in fear
Harry rolled his eyes but slightly smirked at this as he and Naruto left sturdy hall
As they both walked down the corridor they both soon stopped as they saw Daphne being talked to by Malfoy Crabbe and Goyle
"I said I'm not interested in being a flunky of yours malfoy" Daphne said with a tone that sounded both bored and annoyed
"look green grass changes are coming and it's best to have the right people on your side so it's best you think hard on where your loyalties lie you can't play neutral forever" Malfoy said with a smug grin while Crabbe and Goyle chuckled
Naruto scowled at this obvious veiled threat but before he could say anything Harry was already walking towards them
"back off Malfoy she said leave her alone" Harry said firmly as he made his presence known to them
Malfoy turned to look at Harry and sneered a bit before he smirked "well well if it isn't the heir of Slytherin all alone" he said with a mocking tone
"I said back off Malfoy" Harry said ignoring this obvious dig about the rumors about him going around the school
"What are you gonna do about it, scarhead?" Malfoy asked with a glare as Crabb and Goyle stepped forward threateningly
"who said he's alone?" Naruto said as hebstepped forward getting their attention "hey malfoy I see the eye healed would be a shame if I had to send you back to madam Pomfrey so soon after wouldn't it?" he asked with a hard tone
"You think you can threaten me? my father-" Malfoy was saying before he was cut off
"your father can't protect you against creatures I just might accidentally let loose in your robes if you make me mad, now why don't you do like your uncle snivellus and slink off back to the Slytherin common room before I show you how vindictive I can get?" Naruto said with a hard tone as he glared at the three Slytherins
Malfoy glared back at Naruto and Harry who stood next to his friend ready to back him up before he scoffed "let's get back to the common room boys were wasting our time here" he said before he walked away his two cronies quickly following him
Naruto rolled his eyes at this while Harry looked at Daphne "you ok?" he asked his fellow second year
"I'm fine you didn't need to do that Potter" Daphne said with a firm tone of voice
"I know but I noticed your not exactly like the other Slytherins so I figured-"
"What? that you would pity me and help me?" Daphne asked with a light glare at Harry
"What? no! no! I just wanted to help you and maybe become friends" Harry quickly said as he held his hands up
"the great Harry Potter wants to be friends with a Slytherin?" she asked curiously
"well yea you seem nice enough considering you don't bully Hermione and you don't pick fights plus I have been lonely before and I just thought you could use some friends" Harry said as he rubbed the back ofnhisbhead nervously as Daphne looked at him with her piercing gaze
"…….I'll consider it" Daphne said with a even tone before she walked past Harry and Naruto leaving them both alone in the hallway

"yea uh huh wait until mom finds out your into a Slytherin she will be so happy she will probably plan the wedding for after our seventh year" Naruto said with a teasing smirk as they continued to walk down the hallway
"yea after she plans your with Hermione right?" Harry asked with a raised eyebrow
Naruto paused at this before he looked at Harry "W-what are you on about? were just friends" he said
"sure uh huh" Harry said with a flat tone as he walked
"we are!" Naruto yelled as he ran after his friend
"I believe you" Harry said with a tone and a slight smirk that showed he was obviously lying
"…..I'm so putting Bertie Bots beans in your food" Naruto grumbled out at this as they turned a corner
"You do that and i'll-" Harry was saying before he spotted what looked like nearly headless Nick just floating in mid air like he was frozen in place
"What the?" Naruto said as he too noticed this and looked surprised at what he was seeing
Before Harry could respond he soon spotted what looked like a student on the ground and ran to check on the student
"Naruto it's Justin!" Harry said as he checked the petrified students pulse
Naruto frowned as he looked at the petrified Justin and then at the floating nick
as this was happening Filch made his way into the corridor and paused at what he saw before he looked at the two students "caught in the act," he said with a firm tone as he glared at them
" filch we just got here" Naruto said firmly as he looked at the caretaker
"don't try to deny it Uzumaki now I will get my revenge for- "
"oh will you grow the hell up?!" Naruto shouted out loudly his voice echoing in the halls
"What are you on about you brat?" Filch growled out as he glared at Naruto
"you know your cat will be cured when the mandrake are ready so don't give me that revenge crap, your just trying to get at us because you hate all students because your a squi-" Naruto was saying before he was cut off
"Mr Uzumaki!" McGonagall yelled as she entered the corridor and saw what was going on
"Professor I swear we didn't-" Harry was saying before she was cut off
"it is out of my hands Potter both of you follow me Argus get some help and get both of them to the hospital wing" McGonagall said as she signaled both students to follow her before she looked at the caretaker
Filch nodded at this before he shuffled off not meeting Naruto's eyes as he left
McGonagall led Harry and Naruto down the corridor and soon they stopped at a big archway that had what looked like a big statue of a phoenix inside it
"inside boys" McGonagall said as she motioned to the Phoenix statue
Harry and Naruto walked into the corridor and looked at McGonagall who looked at the Phoenix statue
"sherbet lemon" McGonagall said to the statue firmly
the statue shook at this and started to move upwards revealing a set of stairs to Harry and Naruto
Harry and Naruto stepped onto the stairs and rode up the stairs and after the stairs stopped moving they walked up the stairs eventually arriving at a door
"Well we may as well get this over with" Naruto said as he went to open the door
"Are we gonna tell Dumbledore what we think the monster is? Harry asked as Naruto opened the door
"May as well seeing as that might help, if he thinks we did it telling him our theory might help a lot" Naruto said as they entered the office
as they entered the office they both noticed that Dumbledore wasn't here so they decided that they should just wait patiently while having a look around
"wow" Harry said as he looked around at all the paintings hanging in the office
"yea the headmaster gets the best office apparently" Naruto said as he also looked around and paused as he spotted the Sorting Hat sitting above them on a bookshelf
the hat looked down at them with a curious look "I hope your not here to pull a prank Uzumaki not even your mother was foolish enough to try that on Dumbledore back when she was a student, not without a really good plan anyway and even then those failed" The hat said with a chuckle as he looked down at Naruto
Naruto blinked at this before he smiled "no but thanks for the information my mom said she never failed in a prank before and now I can throw this in her face" he said with a smile
the hat smiled at this before he leaned back on his place on the shelf
Harry shook his head at this as he approached Dumbledore's desk and paused as he spotted what looked like a bird's perch and sitting on this perch was what looked like a big bird with red feathers "uh Naruto?" he said getting his friends attention
Naruto turned to look and paused when he saw the bird sitting on its perch and smiled brightly before he approached it "oh man if we do get expelled it was almost worth it just to see you" he said with a smile as he looked at the bird
"Don't let Hermione know you said that and what is it?" Harry asked curiously as he looked at the bird
before Naruto could answer the bird suddenly combust into flames and the ashes fell into the perch below it surprising Harry and making Naruto's smile get bigger
"ah Harry and Naruto" Dumbledore said as he entered the room from the upstairs door and made his way down to them
"P-professor! I'm so sorry your bird!" he just suddenly just caught in fire
"oh yes I have been tell fawkes to get on with it for the past week as he had been looking horrible, it's quite unfortunate you two had to see him on a burning day Dumbledore said as he approached them
"Are you kidding? seeing a phoenix on a burning day? that's the kind of thing a aspiring magical zoologist dreams of!" Naruto said with a grin as he looked at the ashes
"a phoenix?" Harry asked his eyes widening as he looked at the ashes which started to move and what looked like a baby bird started to crawl out of it
"fascinating creatures phoenixes, though I'm sure Mr Uzumaki can tell you what makes them so special" Dumbledore said with a chuckle at how excited Naruto seemed to be
"they can carry very heavy loads, there tears can heal, and as you just saw they die by bursting into flame and are reborn in the ashes" Naruto said with a smile as Fawkes chirped at him
"very good 20 points to Gryffindor" Dumbledore said with a nod at this
before anyone could say anything the door to the office burst open and Hagrid burst in
"Professor! Harry and Naruto didn't do it!" he yelled as he made his way inside
"Hagrid i-" Dumbledore was saying before he was cut off
"they couldn't have done it!" Hagrid yelled out as he held up his arms
"Hagrid-" Dumbledore tried to say but again was cut off
"I'll swear it to the entire ministry of magic if I have to-" Hagrid was yelling before…..
"Hagrid!" Dumbledore yelled out firmly so Hagrid could hear him
this made everyone go silent as it wasn't often Dumbledore yelled at anyone
"calm down Hagrid I don't think Harry or Naruto had anything to do with any of the attacks" Dumbledore said calmly as he looked at Hagrid
"of course you don't which is why- oh" Hagrid was saying before he realized what Dumbledore had just said and went silent oh well um I'll just leave then
"Thanks for the backup Hagrid" Naruto said with a smile and a wave as the big man left the office sheepishly
"You don't think it was us?" Harry asked Dumbledore
"No I don't but I want to ask you two is there is anything you wish to tell me?" Dumbledore asked as he looked at the two boys with a firm look
Naruto and Harry looked at each other for a few moments before Harry nodded at Naruto who stepped forward
"sir I have been doing some of my own investigating into what has been attacking the school and I think I might know what it is" Naruto said firmly
"oh?" Dumbledore asked raising an eyebrow at this as he looked at Naruto
"I think it's a basilisk sir" Naruto said firmly as he looked into Dumbledore's eyes to show that he was not kidding
Dumbledore face didn't change on the outside but his eyes showed that he didn't like this news at all "and what evidence do you have that supports this theory?" he asked calmly
"well sir for one I noticed that at the scene where miss noris body was left behind spiders were fleeing the scene" Naruto said firmly
Dumbledore nodded at this signaling Naruto to continue
"plus Harry has been hearing voices in the walls which we think it's the basilisk using the school's plumbing to get around" Naruto said knowing that the news about Harry being a parselmouth had most likely gotten to the headmaster
Dumbledore again nodded at this "I must say you ate your father's son considering the little bit you have been able to figure out with what little evidence that has been left behind" he said to the blond
Naruto smiled at this glad that his research has paid off
"but I'm afraid the ministry and the school governors won't put much stock in the word of a second year even if his father is from a family that is highly respected in the world of magical zoology" Dumbledore said with a firm tone
"of course they wouldn't even if I'm right" Naruto said with a grumble
"so your not gonna listen to him?" Harry asked curiously as he looked at Dumbledore
"I didn't say that Mr Potter I'll be looking into this rest assured Mr Uzumaki's information will help us going forward, now run along you two" Dumbledore said as he sat at his desk
Harry and Naruto nodded at this and left the office leaving the headmaster to his work

it was now Christmas break and the student body was now making There way home for Christmas
Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Naruto however were choosing to stay at school for the holidays this year seeing as Draco was saying too and the polyjuice potion was now ready
so they four second years were now sitting in the great hall eating dinner while making plans for what they were gonna do
"ok so the potion is all set now we just need hairs of the people were gonna change into" Hermione whispered in a hushed tone so they weren't overhead
"Well I have mine Blaize Zambini" Naruto whispered as he held up a vial which had what looked like a few black hairs inside
"How did you pull that off?" Ron asked curiously
Naruto just smiled at this while Kurama poked his head out of Naruto's shirt while a piece of a Slytherin robe was hanging out of his mouth
this caused Harry and Ron to snort in laughter at this
"And don't worry about Zambini showing up while we're doing this, I had Kurama put some sleeping draft in his food and left him in a broom closet, guy should be out of it for hours" Naruto said to Hermione while he pet Kurama
"Good as for you two you can use these to knock out Crabbe and Goyle, they have very strong sleeping draft inside them" Hermione said as she took out what looked like two cupcakes and handed them to Harry and Ron
"What about you?" Harry asked as he and Ron took the cupcakes
"I already have mine Millicent Bulstrode" Hermione said as she took out a vihel which also had a hair in it
"ok let's finish up dinner and go do this" Naruto said as he went back to his food
Everyone nodded at this as they all quickly went back to their food so they could quickly go forward with their plan
(Later in Myrtle's Bathroom)
Harry, Ron, Hermione and Naruto all stood inside Myrtle's bathroom in front of the sink where a cauldron with the finished potion was sitting while Hermione was filling up each of their glasses with the potion
"Ugh looks like mud" Naruto said as he looked at the potion In his glass
"Now the hairs" Hermione said as she took out her vial
everyone nodded at this and placed the hairs they had gathered in their glasses
"Essence of Crabbe" Ron said with a wince as he looked at his glass
"Cheers" Hermione said as she held up her glass and drank the potion
Harry, Ron and Naruto all drank their own potion
Naruto groaned as he swallowed his potion "ugh and I thought dad's cooking was bad" he stuck his tongue out of his mouth as he ran to a sink nearby and turned on the water before he put his mouth under it to get the taste out of his mouth
"I think I'm gonna be sick!" Ron yelled as he dropped his cup and ran into a bathroom stall
"Me too!" Hermione yelled as she also ran into a bathroom stall
Harry groaned as dropped his glass to the floor and leaned on the sink in front of him, he then noticed that his hand was changing, he then looked at his reflection in the mirror and saw that his entire body was changing and soon the changing stopped and he looked just like Goyle
"Ah man I look like I a total Wanker Naruto groaned out getting Harry's attention
Naruto was also looking into a mirror with a scowl on his face, seeing as now looked like the Slytherin Blaize Zambini
"perfect look on your face for a Slytherin just need to work on the voice" Harry said taking not that their voices still sounded the same
"so sound like a inbred tosser got it" Naruto said switching to a high and mighty tone of voice
Harry rolled his eyes at this as Ron came out of his stall looking like Crabbe looking at his body in shock
"Bloody hell I can't believe it actually worked" Ron said as he looked at his hands
"Be surprised this worked later we need to move were on the clock Weasley" Naruto said doing a spot in imitation of Zabini
Ron laughed at this while Harry approached Hermione's stall. "Come on Hermione we need to go!" he yelled
"Um, I don't think I'm gonna go!" Hermione yelled out from inside her stall
"oh come on Hermione Bulstrode doesn't look that bad" Ron said as he shook his head
"yea plus your personality makes up for you looking like a future slag for a hour" Naruto said with a smile
"Language! and get moving you have less then a hour!" Hermione yelled as she was heard hitting the door to her stall for emphasis
"Alright alright let's go guys" Harry said as he led his two friends out of the bathroom

the three disguised boys walked into the hall and looked around
"Any idea where the Slytherin common room is?" Ron asked curiously as they looked for another Slytherin to follow
"My mom said it was near the dungeons but that's it" Naruto said as he pointed at the nearby corridor
"Best idea there is" Harry said as he led the way
"hold on there you three!" a voice called out getting their attention
the three disguised boys all looked at who had called out to them and saw it was Percy quickly approaching them with a air of authority
"ah great the nark- oof!" Naruto was grumbling before Harry elbowed him in the gut silencing him
"What are you doing down here?" Ron asked without thinking
"I am a school prefect you on the other hand have no business being out here after curfew-" Percy was saying before he was cut off
"Crabbe, Goyle! there you two are! we're you two pigging out in the great hall?" Malfoy asked as he approached them
"Yea I told them it was getting late and they needed to put down the fork" Naruto said with a scowl and a roll of his eyes
malfoy looked at Naruto for a few moments before nodding at this before he looked at percy and "What do you want Weasley?" he asked with a dismissive tone of voice
"Mind your tone to a school prefect Malfoy, now you and your fellow students get to your common room". Percy with a firm tone as he glared at Malfoy
Malfoy sneered at this before he nodded at Harry and Ron to follow him before he walked away from Percy
Naruto quickly moved to follow them glad that they had been able to find Malfoy thanks to Percy and making a mental note to not prank him this week
(Slytherin common room)
Harry, Ron and Naruto followed Malfoy including the common room which looked to be more dank then the Gryffindor one but it had its own charm to it
"Well sit down" Malfoy said to Harry and Ron as he sat down on one of the green couches
Harry and Ron quickly sat down while Naruto looked for a seat and soon he found one and sat in it making sure it was nearby so he could overhear the conversation
"those Weasleys are a disgrace to the Wizarding world the whole lot of them" Malfoy said with a sneer as he looked at what he thought were his friends
Ron scowled at this and clenched his fists but did nothing as he knew he had to play the part of Crabbe
"Them and Dumbledore are the worst thing that have happened to this school in a long while" Malfoy said with a sneer
Seeing that Harry was getting mad Naruto decided to step in "oh I don't know Dumbledore may be a barmy old coot but he's not Potter or Uzumaki" he said with a dry chuckle
Harry and Ron looked at Naruto surprised at this while Malfoy looked at Naruto for a moment before he chuckled
"Good one Zambini those two are definitely the worst cam you believe that whispered fool thinks he is gonna be the next Newt Scamander? he can't even keep his stupid kitsune in line" he said with a smile
Naruto paused at this but put on some strained smile while his eyebrow twitched violently
"and Saint Potter, can you believe people think he's the heir of Slytherin?" Malfoy asked with a bewildered look on his face
"But you must know who it might be" Harry said seeing a chance to get some information
"You know I don't Goyle I told you yesterday" Malfoy said as he walked over to a desk nearby
"I'm sure you know something though your dad knows a lot about this sort of thing right?" Ron said hoping to get Malfoy to keep talking
"all my father has told me that when the chamber was opened last time fifty years ago the one who opened it was expelled and a mud blood died, so it stands to reason that it's only a matter of time before one dies this time, I'm hoping it's Granger" Draco said with a smirk
Naruto slammed his fist on the desk he was sitting at and stood up just as Ron stood up to walk towards Malfoy but Harry grabbed him while he glared at Naruto
"What is going on with you? you're all acting weird" Malfoy asked as he looked at Harry and Ron with a look of suspicion whole Naruto approached him from behind his fist raised
"stomach ache" Harry said as he grabbed Naruto and pulled him over to him and Ron "don't be a moron!" he whispered to Naruto
before Naruto could respond he noticed something about Harry… "scar" he said as he saw that Harry's scar was coming back
"whisker marks" Ron whispered in a panic as he pointed at Naruto who's whisker marks were indeed returning
hair come on Harry said as he saw that Ron's hair was turning red before he ran towards the common room exit Ron and Naruto behind him
"oi! Where are you lot going?" Malfoy yelled after them but before he could follow after them he noticed what looked like a brown ball at his feet which was smoking
which suddenly exploded filling the room with a foul smelling smoke
"Dungbomb!" some Slytherin students yelled in a panic as some of the started to cough

Harry Ron and Naruto ran into the bathroom now fully back to normal as they approached the stall they left Hermione in
"Hermione we got a lot of information!" Harry yelled out as he put his glasses back on
"Go away!" Hermione yelled out from inside her stall surprising them
"You should be back to normal now Hermione so come on out" Ron said as he shook his head thinking Hermione was being ridiculous
suddenly what looked like the ghost of a young girl in Hogwarts robes flew put of Hermione's stall this was Myrtle
"oh it's awful just awful" Myrtle said with a smile as she giggled mischievously as she flew behind the three boys as they approached the stall and opened it and passed at what they saw
it was what looked like a humanoid cat that was wearing Hermione's Hogwarts robes
"a neko? those are real?!" Naruto yelled in surprise at what he was seeing
"I'm not a neko!" the cat girl yelled at them in a very familiar voice
"h-Hermione?" Harry asked surprised at what he was seeing
"The polyjuice potion is not meant for animal transformations it must have been cat hair I took form Millicents robes must have been cat hair, look at my face" Hermione said with a embarrassed tone of voice
"look at your tail" Ron said with a smile while Myrtle cackled loudly behind them
"ok come on Hermione I'll take you to the hospital wing we can tell Pomfrey that you were playing around with a spell or something" Naruto said as he grabbed Hermione's hand and led her out of the stall
"careful mate her claws are sharp" Ron said with a smile while Myrtle laughed louder at this
Hermione looked down at the ground embarrassed at this whole Naruto pulled her out of the bathroom
"congratulations Ron you get Percy's prank this week, ware a helmet" Naruto called out over his shoulder as he left
Ron's face paled at this while Harry patted him on the shoulder in comfort while Myrtle's continued to laugh
(Later in the hospital wing)
after taking Hermione to the hospital wing and coming up with a good excuse for madame Pomfrey Naruto had just finished telling Hermione what they had found out from Malfoy
Sitting in the hospital wing Hermione sat in bed lamenting her sorry state
"Hey it will be ok Hermione." Naruto greeted sitting next to the neko-girl
"I know Naruto." Hermione said her head down still depressed
"Hey don't look so down Hermione." Naruto said as he tried to comfort his friend
"Look at me!" Hermione yelled as she pointed at her face
"I am looking at, and you know what...I think you look cute." Naruto smiled surprising Hermione who blushed at his words
"Y-you think c-cute like this." Hermione said surprised at this
"You bet, I mean just look at you." Naruto grinned scratching at Hermione's cheeks causing the girl to let out humming purr much to her own shock
"St-stop that!" Hermione said turning away her tail wagging side to side
"Hey come on! You look adorable." Naruto said making Hermione's fur turn red as he continued to scratch her much to her embarrassment
suddenly a flash went off nearby getting their attention and when they looked they saw Harry and Ron holding a camera with Kurama sitting on Harry's shoulder
"……I want that camera" Naruto said with a firm tone
too late! take this to Kevin Kurama and there's a steak in it for you" Harry said with a smile as he handed the camera to the kitsune on his shoulder
Kurama perked up at this before he barked and grabbed the camera and ran off
"Your mom is gonna love this" Ron said with a smile at the embarrassed Naruto and Hermione
