I do not ship Finnrey, but there has been some chatter of Finnreys imagining them getting together in the wake of Ben's death in Rise of Skywalker. Regardless of how believable that would be, I wrote this to show Rey as a Jedi Master training Finn as her first Padawan apprentice. Romance does blossom. Please review and enjoy!

Rey wakes from a dream. Or perhaps it was a vision, of what might have been...?

What would have happened if Rey took Kylo Ren's hand in TLJ? Or more interestingly, what would have happened if Rey were to be captured and taken from him afterwards? He would be pissed of course. A moment in their relationship years after she decides to join him. Warning: a subtle spoiler for TROS in the A/N that's in this one-shot! M for some minor adult content and words.

SPOILERS FOR RISE OF SKYWALKER! Ben and Rey's connection keeps him on the edge of life after he brings her back. With both of them now on the side of light, they set out together to restore true balance to the force without creating a new generation of dark force wielders. They decide that the only way to end the war between good and evil is to abolish them both completely.

You are lost, hope is gone. But you must go on, and do the next right thing. Rey mourns the loss of Ben, while trying to piece together some semblance of a future for herself. Now that Luke and Leia are gone, there is no one left to teach her the ways of the Force. Learning, as well as coping, is taken one step at a time.

The Order will have to face not just Sidious, but his sith legion and resurrected apprentices. (This came to me in a dream, might be bad.)
