It was another night in New York City, Harlem. In one of the apartments, the back door opened and a woman around the age of 32 came out with a garbage bag of trash. She was heading towards the trash to throw the trash away.
Putting the bag down on the ground, she couldn't help but sigh softly. Man, it was such a big and uneventful day but she couldn't help the gut feeling that something was about to happen but she just shook it off.
"What a day..." She sighed softly with a soft huff.
She was about to turn back to head back to the house only to stop when she heard one of the trash cans clattering.
"Hm?" She turned to the direction but she couldn't see through the dark.
She can only see a dark silhouette rummaging through the trash can. Good thing she has a flashlight with her and she turned it on before carefully and curiously walked towards the trash can.
'Probably just a stray cat or something...' She thought but boy was she wrong.
When she shined the light from her flash light showed the silhouette, the first thing that caught her eyes was a long pink tail that kind of looked like a rat's tail.
"Huh?" She moved the flashlight higher to see that the owner of the tail was standing on two legs like a human until she saw the face of the silhouette as a pair of honey brown eyes was staring at her in surprise like deer's in a headlight.
The two continue to stare at each other in shocked and stunned silence when the rat... man? moved an inch which made the woman, Carol, snap out of her daze and opened her mouth.
Yoshi was just minding his own business as he rummaged through one of the trash cans like a common hobo as he let out a small quiet sigh. How did it come to this?
He was a famous movie star only to get kidnapped by his ex-girlfriend who turned out to be a spider yokai who forced him to fight in her battle nexus only to get kidnapped by some mad yokai warrior scientist who mutated him and four little ones into what they are now. So yeah, life is more complicated due to his current state.
But getting found by one of the humans was not in his to-do list. Yoshi froze in his spot as the woman was staring at him in shock and bewilderment. But when he tried to move even the slightest, it was enough to snap the woman from her daze and open her mouth and Yoshi quickly knew what was about to happen.
"No, no, no, no! Please, I was just-" Yoshi tried to stop her only for the woman to let out a shrill scream as his ears pinned back from the volume.
"And she's screaming... Oh boi." Yoshi muttered as he watched the woman scream before his lights were knocked out of him.
