Someone Like Me?

Summary:

Netto is the nosy type.

"Tohru-kun, what's your type?"

"My type?"

"You told me you're into guys, right? So…What type of guy do you like?"

"Netto-kun…Why are you asking me this? This is private. I don't want to talk about it."

"I'm curious! Hey, c'mon, gimme a hint!"

"Let's not do this."

"Just tell me and I'll stop bothering you!" Netto clapped his hands together and begged, and when that didn't work, shook Tohru's chair. "C'mon! C'mon, c'mon, c'mon!"

"…"

This was massively embarrassing. For both of them. Though Netto was impervious to shame, apparently.

Back up. Incorrect. Netto was impervious to shame. Obviously.

"Ah! I got it! You're into guys like Enzan, aren't you?" Netto pointed at Tohru with absolute certainty on his face. "Shy types like you are always into the guys who act all cool and important!"

The person I like is cool and important…Important to me, anyway.

"Ha! I got it on my first try! Tohru-kun, you like Enzan!"

Tohru's cheeks flushed. "Netto-kun, please be quieter! And what do you mean shy types like me are into guys who act cool and important?"

"Well, you are shy, Tohru-kun."

It was the truth, but hearing it spoken…Tohru got shier.

"Don't worry! I'll help you confess to Enzan!"

"Netto-kun, you got it all wrong! It isn't like that!"

"Oh. Right. I said a guy like Enzan, didn't I? Which means it could just as easily be someone like Enzan who isn't Enzan."

"The person I like isn't like that at all…"

"Huh?"

He's more reckless, and enthusiastic, and –

Was Netto seeing how red he was?

"You're jumping to your own conclusions, Netto-kun!"

"I am?"

Tohru nodded, praying that would be the end of it.

"So you're not going to tell me then? The type of guy you really like?"

Tohru shook his head.

"Okay, but…One more question?" Netto raised one finger optimistically.

"I guess…I guess one more question couldn't hurt."

Stupid plan.

"Is the guy you like someone like me?"
