It's a fine day on the Starship Cerritos.
"You have a girlfriend!" a shock voice said.
"Yeah," another voice said.
"Okay, you get to be joking, Boimler," another voice said.
"Nope, I'm serious," Boimler said.
"What do you think, Rutherford?" a third voice questioned.
"I'd say good for him even if it is highly impossible." Rutherford said.
"Hey!" Boimler said.
"That just means you're super lucky," the second female said.
Right, by the way, did you hear?" Boimler questioned.
"Nothing so far," the second female voice answered.
"Heard about what? Rutherford questioned.
"That Commander Ketchum is being promoted after this mission!" Boimler answered.
"Really!" The third voice said.
"You didn't know Mariner?" the female voice questioned.
"No, what's this about someone being promoted?" Mariner questioned.
"Commander Ketchum is being promoted after this mission." Rutherford answered.
"Cool quick question: who's Commander Ketchum?" Mariner questioned.
"Commander Ketchum is Captain Freeman's third in command," the second female voice answered.
"I see, and how come I haven't heard of him until now?" Mariner questioned.
"But you run into him every time you're sent to the brig." Boimler answered.
"I do?" Mariner questioned.
"Yeah, he's the one at the control panel," the second female voice answered.
"Oh, that guy—I never really got his name." Mariner said.
"Want to say goodbye while we still have time to?" Rutherford questioned.
"Depends on what he's being promoted to?" Mariner questioned.
"To Captain, there's no rank between a Commander and a Captain." Boimler answered.
"I see, so he'll be working with Captain Freeman and the other captains." Mariner said.
"It also means he's leaving the Cerritos since he has to captain his own ship and command its crew," the second female voice said.
"I see," Mariner said.
"So, want to say goodbye and best of luck?" Rutherford questioned.
"Sure, why not?" Mariner said.
The turbolift doors open to show the owners of each voice: the first is a thin white-skinned human man with purple hair; the second is a dark-skinned human woman with somewhat puffy hair; the third is a tan-skinned human man, but 1/6 of his head is replaced with high-tech implants; and the final member of their group is a green-skinned humanoid woman. Their Star Fleet uniform had a white accent between the gray shoulder area and the division coloring, as well as the division-colored lining of the breast flap. The com badge lacked the golden oblong backing present in the previous design and featured only the Starfleet Delta. The first two humans have red on their uniforms, showing they are in the command division, while the tan man has gold on his, which means he is in the operation division, and the green humanoid woman has blue on hers, which means she is part of the sciences division.
"Here we are," Boimler said.
At his station, Commander Ashten Ketchum waits for the only other person who is at the brig nearly as much as him.
"Hey Commander Ash!" Boimler called out.
"Yo! Boimler, did Mariner get in trouble again?" Ash questioned.
"No, but we did hear that you were getting a promotion," Boimler said.
"Yeah, today is my last day on the Cerritos, but the higher-ups didn't tell me what class of ship I'm going to be the captain of." Ash said.
"I see, congratulations." Rutherford said.
"Thank you, and Mariner, don't give the new guy too much trouble." Ash said.
"I make no promises about that." Mariner said.
"Tendi, before you go and create any type of animal, please fully research it." Ash questioned.
The green-skinned woman now known as Tendi chuckles sheepishly.
"Let me guess you already did that." Ash questioned.
"Maybe," she said nervously.
"Did you do any research about the animal you created?" Ash questioned.
"A little," she said.
"How much is a little?" Ash questioned.
"How it's supposed to look" She said.
"What were you trying to create?" Ash questioned.
"A dog," Tendi said.
Commander Ketchum went over to a shelf full of datapads, pulled one out, and walked back to the group.
"Here's everything about Earth dogs. Read it before you make it into a somewhat mini Q," he said as he handed the pad to Tendi.
"Thanks," Tendi said.
"You're welcome, and I don't want a repeat of what my friend Commander Aether had done with a Tribble." Ash said.
"It's "what happened?" Tendi questioned.
"Ever watch both series of Urotsukidouji from the 20th century?" Ash's questioned back
"Yeah?" Tendi said.
"Multiply the monster and villain "fun" scenes by ten, and what happens on board the Akagi could look each other in the eyes for years, even after the whole crew is transferred." Ash said.
"Yikes," Mariner said.
Tendi started to read the datapad while having a look of horror on her face.
"Anyway, do you know who's going to be in your crew?" Boimler questioned.
"To start with, Dr. T'Ana's daughter will be my ship's doctor." Ash started.
"Wait, Dr. T'Ana and Shaxs had a kid!" Mariner said in shock.
"Oh no, she had a kid long before she and Shaxs were a thing." Ash said.
"Good, that's one of the very last images I want burned into my mind." Mariner said.
"Who else? And what's Dr. T'ana's daughter's name?" Tendi questioned.
"Dr. T'ana's daughter's name is Calico Briggs, and my next two bridge officers are a couple of old academy pals of mine, Cody Andrews and Wolfgang "Wolf" Wilde." Ash answered with a smile on his face.
"I see," Tendi said.
"Where have I heard those names before?" Boimler questioned.
"No way you're pals with Wild Wolf Wilde and Hold the Line, Andrews!" Mariner questioned in shock
"Yep," Ash said.
"Now I remember! They were heroes during the Dominion War! and you're friends with them!" Boimler said shock.
"Yep," Ash said.
"That's beyond cool! Is it true that Lieutenant Commander Wilde built and used a beam saber like our Mobile Suit Gundam!?" Rutherford questioned.
"Who said I only make and use one of them?" a male voice asks from behind the four ensigns.
They looked behind them and were shocked at who they saw.
"I had built and used two beam sabers." A gold-furred anthropomorphic wolf male said he was wearing the same uniform as them, unlike Ash's, Boimler's, and Mariner's. His uniform's third color is gold, showing he is in the same division as Rutherford.
Next to him is a human with short brown hair wearing the same uniform, but he is in the sciences division since his third color is blue.
"No way it's." Boimler said he was unable to finish his sentence.
"Lieutenant Commander Wolfgang Wilde, but my friends just call me Wolf, and this is." The wolf introduces himself.
"Commander Cody Andrews," the human man finishes.
Boimler lets out a small squeal of excitement.
"Easy there," Wolf said to the thin ensign.
"I can't believe you two are right here with us." Boimler said.
"I knew we were famous, but not at the Voyager level of famous." Cody said.
"You'd be surprised, Ash said.
"I'm surprised you're the one being promoted to captain instead of Mr. Spartan here." Wolf said as he pointed to Cody.
"Are you ever going to stop calling me that?" Cody's question annoyed.
"Not until someone did a full historical repeat of another battle from Earth's history." Wolf answered with a smile on his face.
Cody sighs in annoyance.
"Let's see your soon-to-be former captain and her bridge crew. What do you say, cap?" Wolf questioned.
"Right, let's go," Ash said.
The group of seven went into the turbolift.
"This is so awesome," Boimler said.
"You hadn't seen anything yet." Wolf said.
"What do you mean?" Mariner questioned.
"Let's just say when Ransom sees Wolf, you'll understand." Cody answered.
As they exit the turbolift.
"Ensigns, what is so important?" A man in his late thirties questioned.
His hair is a light brown, has a five o'clock shadow.
When his black eyes landed on the wolf, he was frozen with fear.
The anthropomorphic wolf man walks over to him.
"Hey, Ransom, you forgot your cap." Wolf as he grabs Ransom's underwear, and in one motion, Ransom's neo-pink party could be seen as they were pulled up and placed atop his head without ripping.
Ransom lets out a girlish scream of pain.
Mariner started to laugh, and she wasn't alone; Shaxs joined in as well.
"Ouch," Boimler said.
"The chances of Commander Ransom having gotten lower have gotten lower," Tendi said.
"Now do you see what I meant earlier?" Cody said.
"Yep," Rutherford said.
Ransom eventually gets his underwear off his head.
"Lieutenant Commander Wilde! What are you doing here?! Commander Ransom tries to obey orders while moving to the far corner away from the anthropomorphic Wolf, a low-ranking Star Fleet officer.
"Ah, Ransom, you didn't hear?" Wilde questioned.
"Hear what?" Ransom question back.
"Commander Ketchum is being promoted, and me and Andrews here are now a part of his crew." Wilde said.
At that, Shaxs stopped laughing while Ransom's eyes went to the size of a numb tact.
"You're kidding." Ransom said it in fear.
"No, he's not. After this mission, Commander Ketchum will be Captain Ketchum, and Commander Andrews, and soon to be Commander Wilde, will be a part of his crew." A dark-skinned woman around the age of 50 said.
"Ma'am, with due respect, are you sure that's a good idea?" Ransom questioned.
"You're asking the person you had to talk with an admiral about it." The woman answered.
"But those three are in charge of a ship?" Ransom questioned.
"And a crew, yes," the woman answered.
"That's a recipe for disaster," Ransom said.
"No, what you led us to back when we were on the same page was a disaster! And wait, I'm being promoted as well?" Lieutenant Commander Wilde asks in shock
"That was your fault, and no, but if I had it my way, you wouldn't be here.
"But you were the commanding officer, and I was following your orders!" The soon-to-be commander said as he started to growl.
"Oh, please, a monkey could follow orders better than you!" Ransom said.
"At least a monkey won't lead their sibling to their death!" Lieutenant Commander Wilde said
"How was that my fault?" Ransom questioned.
"You were in command and barking out orders while hiding." Lieutenant Commander Wilde answered.
Everyone besides Commander Ketchum and Commander Andrews looks at the two in shock.
"Yikes," Boimler said.
"You can say that again," Tendi said.
"Listen, Ransom, you just have to put up with us a little longer." Cody said.
"Then we wouldn't have to see each other for a long time!" Wolf added
"Fine by me!" Ransom said.
"Ensigns, please lead us to your ship's holodecks. I need to blow off some steam!" Wolf questioned.
When the group left the bridge while the ensigns there didn't make eye contact with Commander Ransom, he went back to his seat.
"My ready room in five minutes!" the woman said in a non-questioning tone of voice.
"But Captain!?" Commander Ransom tried to say.
"You heard the Captain, Commander!" Shaxs told him.
As they leave.
"Sell the same a-hole!" Wolf said as they walked through the hallway.
"I understand your anger, but you need to calm down." Cody said.
"That's why I'm heading for the Holodecks instead of the bar." Wolf said
"If it makes you feel better, Ransom will probably get in trouble." Ash said.
"Maybe the higher-ups will see that he lied about what happened." Wolf said.
"Wait, what happened?" Boimler questioned.
"We'll tell you all the whole story once we're in the holodeck." Ash answered
As they enter the holodeck.
"Computer Combat Sim Level Seven!" Wolf command.
"Level 7 activated." The computer said.
Then robot-like opponents appear, and Wolf pulls out the two Katana handles.
"Are those what I think they are?" Boimler questioned.
"My beam sabers, yes they are; the computer makes the combat sim opponents look like Commander Ransom!" Wolf said as the blue light of his beam sabers came to life.
"Wow, he really hates Commander Ransom." Boimler said.
"You would too if he had gotten everyone you had called friends killed all at once!"" Ash said.
"To make it worse, in the eyes of his culture, Ransom is both a betrayer and a tricker." Cody added.
This shocks the Ensigns.
"HOW IS RANSOM STILL HERE!? AND CAN WE PLEASE GET THE WHOLE ABOUT THIS!?" Mariner shouted.
"That's a question that we keep asking every day." Cody said.
"Hopeful after that little fight at the bridge will make your captain question his record." Wolf said as he had beheaded a Sim Ransom.
"Maybe, by the way, I have a question," Tendi said.
"What is it, Tendi?" Ash questioned.
"Does Dr. T'ana know about her daughter's new assignment?" Tendi questioned.
"Maybe," Cody answered.
"I wonder how she'll react if she doesn't know yet." Tendi questioned.
"Not as bad as her reaction when she learns our shared history with Ransom!" Wolf said.
Suddenly, a loud, cat-like screech was heard.
"Either she just learned about what Ransom did or she had learned about her daughter's new assignment." Wolf said as he sliced a ransom in half from the belt area to the head.
Meanwhile, in the medbay of the ship.
"Computer! Contact Dr. Briggs at DS7!" Dr. T'Ana ordered.
An hour or so later, her daughter's face appears on screen.
"Hey mom, sorry you have to wait; I was busy packing." Callie moves a lock of her hair out of her face.
"I actually want to talk to you about that." Dr. T'ana said.
"You know I've been planning to move." Callie said she was hoping her mother hadn't heard the news about her leaving DS7.
"I'm talking about your new assignment." T'ana said.
"Oh, you had learned about that." Callie said.
"Yes, I did." T'ana said.
"Well, there's nothing you can do about it." Callie said.
"Like I could, you have way too much of my stubbornness." T'ana said.
"And the rest of my personality came from my biological father!" Callie said
"Please don't bring him up." T'ana said.
That shocked Callie, whose mother didn't say please during her Star Fleet career.
"Mom, what's wrong? Anytime I bring dad up, you normally tell or shout at me to "shut the f*** up!" so what happens? The younger Caitian questioned.
"Commander Ransom happened," T'ana said.
"Please tell me you didn't sleep with him!" Callie asks as she nearly feels her lunch making a comeback.
"Heck no, I wouldn't sleep with him even if I was drunk and desperate." T'ana said.
"That's good, but then what did he do?" Callie questioned again.
"Apparently it's something he did that got most of his team killed." T'ana said.
"How long ago?" Callie questioned.
Who knows, but apparently your new captain was there." T'ana said.
"Captain Ketchum and Commander Ransom used to be on the same crew?" Callie questioned.
"Yep," T'ana said.
"Why don't you check Ransom Service records and see what he's trying to hide?" Callie said.
"Only the captain has clearance for that, and she's already looking through it." T'ana said.
Callie has a confused look on her face.
"But you have clearance for that while since you're the ship's doctor since if he had a medic problem in the past, it would cause a problem on a mission." Callie said.
"Eh, I never really bothered to look since Ransom is a jerk." T'ana said.
"I don't know if you and the rest on board the Cerritos can deal with him." Callie said.
"Right," T'ana said.
"Anything else, mom?" Callie questioned.
"Yeah, be careful and make sure to protect your safety if and when you end up in bed with Ketchum." T'ana said with a smirk.
"MOM!" Callie shouted embarrassment.
"It's not like you hadn't thought about it." T'ana said.
"That isn't the point," Callie said.
"Come on, we both know that you have feelings for him." T'ana said.
"I'm not saying that this is just Star Fleet; look what happened to Voyager during its first official mission, and the last thing I want to remember you saying to do is use protection!" Callie said.
"That was a different issue." T'ana said.
"Beside that, you're old enough to be a grandmother; heck, Shaxs most likely has grandkids he doesn't know about." Callie said.
"And yet he still rocks it." T'ana said.
"MOM!" she shouted in embarrassment.
"It's not like you wouldn't brag about ash." T'ana said.
"Do you ever stop to think about your bedroom?" Callie questioned.
"Only when I'm on duty." T'ana said.
"I should have seen that one coming." Callie said.
"Though, to be honest, you have good taste in men; heck, if Ketchum had been a little older, then I'd be trying to get in his pants." T'ana said.
"MOM, STAY AWAY FROM HIM! HE'S MINE!" Callie shouted.
"There's that possessive side you inherited from me, but relax, Callie. I'm kidding, and besides, I'm not into younger men." T'ana said.
"Yeah, you're into "beef cake" if Shaxs and dad say anything about your taste in men." Callie said.
"Again, don't bring up your dad. Shaxs, however, is more than just a "beef cake". T'ana said.
"And yet you do like your men with that type of body." Callie said.
"True," T'ana said.
"And you rarely talk about their personalities or what you both have in common but your bedroom activities." Callie said.
"Because that stuff is private." T'ana said.
"Where did Shaxs live when he was a kid?" Callie questioned.
"That's classified." T'ana said.
"His favorite Earth author, then?" Callie said, as she knew that couldn't be labeled as classified.
"He doesn't read says that reading is for nerds." T'ana said.
"Most books are holonovels now, which means they are not just for nerds." Callie said.
"He mostly does action holonovels," T'ana said.
"Okay, and when was the last time you two just talked?" Callies questioned.
"Just before I clocked in today," T'ana said.
"And the topic was about your "fun" bedtime?" Callie asks with an eye roll.
"No, it was actually about Ransom." T'ana said.
"Before now?" Callie questioned.
"You mean before I called you?" T'ana said.
"I meant before today." Callie said.
"Eh, it's just the usual stuff: combat protocol, medical stuff, etc.." T'ana said.
"No work-related types of talks." Callie said.
"Sometimes our nighttime activities are brought up in conversation." T'ana said.
"And there is my point: you and Shaxs are none other than "f***" bubbies." Callie said.
"You take that back." T'ana said.
"Why is it the trust?" Callie sai.
"No, it isn't. How about you talk to Shaxs before you jump to conclusions?" T'ana said.
"Why would you do that? It's your relationship." Callie said.
"To hear from both sides of the relationship." T'ana said.
"So, you admit to being in a relationship that is a real one instead of a booty-call one." Callie said.
"Of course I admit it." T'ana said.
"Well, you better work hard to keep it that way, or else history will repeat itself." Callie said.
"Oh, I intend to keep it." T'ana said.
"You might want to find someone who is good with holoprograms to help you create a program to help you with that." Callie said
"I will," T'ana said.
Back in the holodeck.
"And that's what happened and why Wolf was T.O. at Ransom." Commander Andrew finishes telling the four ensigns about their last mission with Ransom.
To say that they were shocked is an understatement.
"I can't believe that someone would do that." Boimler said.
"Well, believe it, Boimler, it happened." Cody said.
"We filed a report on Ransom, and we don't know why it's taking so long for the Star Fleet to do some; we just have to wait and see." Ash said.
"I see," Boimler said.
"And I'm done; who wants to hit the bar?" Wolf asks as a middle-sized hill of dead Ransom is behind him.
"Oh, I can't have a date." Boimler said.
"Oh, my bad, what about you three?" Wolf questioned.
"We're down for a drink," Mariner said.
"Cool let's..." Wolf stops as he notices an odd smell from the purple-haired human.
"What's wrong?" Boimler questioned.
"Hold still for a minute." Wolf said as he pulled out a tricorder from his packets and started to scan Boimler's head.
"Why are you scanning my head?" Boimler said.
"Well, you need to head to the medical bay since there's a bug in there." Wolf answered.
"Wait, a bug? What bug?" Boimler questioned.
"Some type of parasite, if the readings are right." Wolf answered.
"PARASITE!?" Boimler exclaimed.
"Calm down, just go to Dr. T'Ana; I'm sure she will get it out without any problem." Cody said.
Boimler nods before leaving.
"Do you think he will be okay?" Tendi questioned.
"I'm sure he will be." Cody said.
"Well, before you all have to report for duty, we better have some drinks." Wolf said as he put his tricorder back in his packet.
"Right," Mariner said.
So, the group of six exits the holodeck and makes their way to the bar.
"So Commander Cody has any stories to share?" Mariner questioned.
"By stories, do you mean war stories or before that?" he questioned.
"Before that," Mariner said.
"Hmm, about the time Ransom gets pregnant?" Wolf questioned.
"Wait what?" Mariner said.
"Oh, man, that was crazy as hell." Ash said.
"This I have to hear," Mariner said.
~Story Flashback~
On a purple planet, four familiar Star Fleet members were checking out a forest.
"Anything to report? Cody said.
"So far, everything is the same old, same old." Wolf said as he scanned a tree.
"Same here," Ash said.
Then the trio heard tribal dumbs.
"Do you hear that?" Ransom questioned.
"Yeah, it sounds like they are at least six miles away from us!" Wolf said that his hearing is better than the three humans.
"Let's try to avoid them." Ash said.
"We sure contacted the ship and beam; for that matter, why didn't the ship pick up any signs of civilization?" Ransom questioned in a panic.
"Most likely they live in a cave deep underground." Cody said.
"We need to get out of here," Ash said.
"Agreed, if history is anything to go by, then those dumbs are either a sign of war or a hunt." Wolf said as they started to put distance between them and whatever was playing dumb.
"Right, let's go," Ash said.
They run for a few hours, then reach a cave for a month.
"That was close," Ash said.
"Okay, we should try to contact the ship." Cody said.
"Already on it," Wolf said.
"USS Salem, this Ensign Wilde, we need emergency teleportation; there is a stone age civilization on this planet." Wolf said as he taps his compass to contact their ship.
"Wait, where's Ransom?" Ash questioned.
"Wasn't he right behind you, Cody?" Wolf questioned.
"I thought he was," Cody said.
"I have a better chance of finding him if you two keep trying to contact Salem!" Wolf said.
"Right, but be careful." Ash said.
"Will do," Wolf said as he left the cave to search for their fellow ensign.
As he searched, a thought crossed his mind.
'He was most likely captured by the people that call this planet home.' Wolf thought.
Suddenly, he hears a voice.
Wolf quickly hid in a tree.
"Let me go!" A familiar voice said.
Wolf watched as Ransom was carried away by multicolored anthro grasshoppers, saying man was carried like a fresh kill.
"Well, that's something you don't see every day." He said.
From the tree's tops, Wolf follows the group.
He then hears the aliens talk.
'Great the universal translator most be analyzing their language patterns.' Wolf thought.
"So is everything ready?" One alien questioned.
He sees that the creatures are mantis-like aliens.
'I can't get too close, and I don't have a phaser on me. At times like this, the Prime Directive is more of a pain than it's worth.' Wolf thought.
As he follows.
'So, this is how I'm going to die, eaten by bug people!' Ransom thought.
The aliens continue talking in their language.
'Better stay quit; as soon as the universal translator is able to translate their language, I'll find out what plans they have for me!' Ransom thought.
As soon as he finished his thought, his suit quietly dinged.
The aliens stop talking and drop the human.
"Ow!" he said.
Then the aliens let out a high-pitched cry.
This causes Random and a still-hidden wolf to cover their ears.
'What the heck!" Both Star Fleet officers thought.
Soon, more aliens showed up.
'That went south fast.' Wolf thought.
Suddenly, he heard his suit quietly ding.
"Universal translation complete." It said.
'Finally! We will find out what these people want from Ransom.' Wolf thought.
"Is everything ready?" One alien questioned.
"Yes, everything is set," another answered.
'Ransom better keep his mouth close.' Wolf thought.
"What are you planning on doing with me?" Ransom questioned.
Wolf face palmed.
"Should we tell him?" The alien questioned.
"Might as well since, from the look of him, he'll die after he lays his third egg," the other answered.
"Wait what?" Ransom questioned.
'Wait what?' Wolf thought.
"Good point," the first alien said.
"So congratulations, human, you're going to lay our eggs." The first alien said.
"What, how don't you know what species I am! There's no warp technology on this planet!" Ransom said.
'For once, you ask a smart question, Ransom.' Wolf thought.
"Oh, you're not the first of your kind we've encountered before." One alien said.
'Which means some outpost scientists break the Prime Directive?' was the shared thought of both Star Fleet officers.
"So now you get to carry our eggs." A third alien said.
"And what are you going to do?" Ransom said while trying to break loose.
"You'll see." The first alien said.
Within a half hour, more aliens show up.
"Alright, let's begin." The third alien said.
Then the second alien had a tail growing out of its backside.
"Uh oh," Ransom said.
It then cuts to Wolf as Ransom is set upon by the alien.
The alien let out a cry as the anthropomorphic wolf grabbed his crew members and started running.
"What took you so long!?" Ransom questioned.
"Sorry, but you know the Prime Directive, and I was hoping they would leave you alone long enough for me to get you out of there!" Wolf answered as he was dodging the tribal weapons.
"Come back here; we're not done with him yet!" One of the aliens shouted.
One of them started to jump from tree to tree.
"Oh great, now they're doing that." Wolf said.
The one that went by the trees jumped down on the two Star Fleet officers, but it was small enough to ride with instead of knocking them down like the other before its tail came out and with one quick movement went through Ransom's pants and entered into the human's a-hole.
Ransom lets out a shrill scream at the feeling.
'Good thing my species doesn't have eyes in the back of our heads. Wolf thought as he kept running.
Eventually, he manages to escape.
"Ash? Cody? Are you two still here?" Wolf questioned while keeping his voice low.
"Yeah." Both Ash and Cody replied.
"Any word from the ship?" Wolf asks as he puts Ransom down.
"Yeah, they're on their way." Cody said.
"They can't beam us!" Wolf questioned in shock.
"They're trying, but they're having some trouble getting a fix on our coordinates." Cody said.
"Which means there's some type of mineral in these caves that's blocking the scans." Ash said.
"Yeah," Wolf said.
Then Wolf went on to tell Ash and Cody what happened to Ransom.
"So let me get this straight. Ransom was captured by a group of mantis-like aliens who intended to lay eggs in him." Cody said.
Wolf nodded.
A minute later, both Ash and Cody started laughing their butts off.
Then they heard a shutter land.
"That must be them," Cody said.
"I'll go; those bugs can't keep up with me." Wolf said.
"Right, be careful," Ash said.
"I will," Wolf said as he left the cave.
Outside the cave, Wolf pulled out his tricorder.
"Alright, it looks like those bugs still haven't found us." Wolf said.
Then the shuttle landed near him.
"The shuttle is here; let's go!" Wolf said.
Ash and Cody had to carry Ransom together since the said man had gained some weight.
"I don't feel good," Ransom said.
"I'm sure the doctor can get those eggs out of your black hole." Ash said.
As the shuttle takes off.
"Do I even want to know what happened?" One of the pilots of the shutter questioned.
"Not unless you want a good laugh," Wolf said.
"Ransom?" the other pilot questioned.
"Yep," Wolf said.
"What did he do this time? Take a dump in a holy item again?" the first pilot questioned.
"A bunch of alien bugs laid eggs in him," Ash said.
"Well, I lost that bet," the second pilot said.
"What bet?" Wolf questioned.
"Some of us bet on what would happen to Ransom on this mission," the second pilot answered.
"And you didn't include us?" Wolf questioned.
"Given the fact you four are like the Musketeers while on missions, which means you guys could cheat," the first pilot answered.
"Not cool," Cody said.
"It's better than them betting on who would die." Ash said.
"True," Cody said.
"And is it just, or are we just more people than anyone else when we aren't at war?" Wolf questioned.
"I don't remember what happened to that one red coat." Cody questioned.
"Smash by a boulder in a cave, and you remember both Ash and Ransom are wearing red coats as well." Wolf answered.
"True," Cody said.
"Which means Ransom might be the next to die," the second pilot said.
"Yep," Wolf said.
A few minutes later.
"Well, the eggs have been removed." A medical officer said.
"And how is the proud mama?" Wolf joked
"Shut up," Ransom said.
"Look on the bright side; at least it's eggs instead of a live birth." Ask said.
"I said, shut up!" Ransom said.
"I guess he laid some bad eggs." Cody joked.
"Just shut up!" Ransom said.
~Story Flashback over~
The Ensigns all laugh at the story.
"Oh, man, I can't wait to tell Boimler this one." Marine said
"Speaking of Boimler, I wonder how he's doing." Tendi questioned.
"Who knows since that bug was close to his head?" Cody answered
"So he might die from it?" Mariner questioned.
"Possibly," Ash answered.
Suddenly, Boimler let out a scream.
The group of six runs towards the medical bay.
"Boimler, what happened!?" Mariner questioned.
"He's fine." Dr. T'ana said as she held up a tube with a bug that was copying Boimler's scream.
Everyone let out a sigh of relief.
Dr. T'ana pushes a button to mute the tube.
"So, Dr. T'ana, how'd that get in his head?" Ash questioned.
"Most like he gets it from something he ate off a ship." Dr. T'ana answered.
"But he'll be okay, right?" Tendi questioned.
"Ensign Boimler is just fine, but he is off duty for a while." Dr. T'ana answered.
"Okay, then thanks, Dr. T'ana." Ash said.
"You're welcome, Ketchum! Take good care of my daughter!" Dr. T'Ana said.
Ash blushes hard.
"And I guess we now know how Boimler got himself a girlfriend," Mariner said.
"Right, though he might not have one soon." Dr. T'ana said.
"But Docter T, he already has one." Tendi said.
"Used to, since this parasite used pheromones to attract women." T'ana said.
"Poor guy, that means he will lose her." Rutherford.
"Yep," T'ana said.
"Great, soon we have to deal with sad Boimler," Mariner said.
"Oh yeah," T'ana said.
