My name is Jaune Arc, only male heir to the Arc Family Title. I have seven Sister whom I am competing with to become the chosen heir when my Father chooses to step down as head of the family. Though this may make it sound as though we all despise each other, our family cares deeply for one another. In truth the nature of this world has made my life chaotic, but it wasn't always like this.

My old name was Jonathon Miles Luna (Strange last name for some, being called the moon), I was fresh out of high school and apprenticing under a local chef with hopes of going to a good culinary school. I even managed to get a girlfriend, admiting to her after several years was easily the hardest part of it.

Yet imagine my surprise when the two of us were walking down the sidewalk on main street, deciding where to eat for lunch, that I found myself in a pure white room with a lone being staring down at me.

She called herself Salem, proclaiming that she was one of two gods of another world, and she gave me an offer. Be reincarnated in her world as a Demon; "tilt the balance in such a manner that it remains stable." is how she put it. She had told me that her rival, Ozma, had supposedly taken the soul of my girlfriend and offered her a similar choice as she had with me.

Such knowledge left me uncertain, I spent what felt like hours debating on whether or not I should accept. Salem had remained patient, understanding of his plight. In the end I accepted, now I have been reborn as Jaune Arc, only son of Sebastian Arc, Brother to the Daughters of Sin.

This is my story.

Day One

As I first opened my eyes I found something strange in the corner of my eye. A small collection of words that quickly became clear to me.

It was the strangest thing, something that Salem hadn't bothered to tell me about. Did the whole world possess Game Stats or was this just something for him? I barely had time to think about it before something began pulling my tiny body around. All my tired eyes could see was an ocean of dirty blonde hair and deep blue eyes as three girls seemed to look upon me with wonder.

Before I could get a good enough look at them he was scooped up and nuzzled by a far larger woman. Considering the similarities in looks it was rather obvious that she was his mother. She gave him a bright smile, juxtaposed by the deep crimson of her eyes and the blood seeping from her lips. He could see two small fangs in her mouth and he knew exactly what his status had meant as a Demon Hybrid. Taking a closer look he could feel a deep maternal bond with her as he held him in a comforting grip.

He could hear her talking, but it was difficult to make out what she was saying. Then he felt he body shift again, his mother holding him up so he could be face to face with a tall and imposing man (demon) with blonde hair and numerous scars running across his face. This had to be his father considering the look of pride on his face as he gently took hold of him. He was too tired to consider what the man was saying, even as he watched his father's lips jabber with a ceaseless energy.

My eyes only grew more tired, my little arms going up to rub them carefully. My father just smiled, his mouth full of pearly whites except for a spot where two teeth were missing. Soon my mother took me back as my dad seemed to breath a sigh of relief. He talked once more as my mother held me to her bosom.

It was going to be interesting.

The first few months were simple, easy since I was still just a new born. I would watch as Maids and Butlers (none of which appeared to be human except for the Head Butler) did all sorts of menial tasks while my sisters spent time out in the courtyard training with dad. I would always be by my mother's side, her gaze ever vigilant over me.

I tried some experimentation with the status system, the stats themselves made sense considering the fact I was an infant. I would gaze at each stat for a time, try to make sense what I could do to obtain a Class or Skills. I wasn't sure what I could use the Unspent XP for, nor did I want to make an unknown purchase if it was rare and hard to obtain. The only change that I had seen so far was my age stat loosing its hour part the moment it reached twenty four, and as if now it read "0 Years, 6 Months." and nothing else.

The hardest part was understanding the language. Whatever it was, there was no way to translate it into english. He wished Salem had just beamed the language into his head or something like he had seen in various isekai. But no, he has to learn it from scratch.

Suddenly my mother picked me up and began walking down to the courtyard where my father and sisters were just wrapping up. She spoke, even as he struggled to understand her, and he turned to her. Even with his hair matted with sweat his father just smiled before talking with her. He took a quick glance over to his sisters, a curious glint in his eye as they seemed to be talking amongst themselves.

Still, considering their body language, dad seemed to be talking about the oldest of the three. She was the least exhausted of the three, though she was trying to hide her face from their parents. They seemed to be talking about a mission, maybe. His oldest sister was somehow both excited and nervous looking while the other two were shooting her jealous looks.

He then gestured to one of the walls at the far end of the courtyard. A large tapestry depicting a row of swords, all of different types and sizes. He recognized some of them from movies and history classes from school. His father pointed at an Arming Sword on the far right and said something, before he gestured to the Zweihander on the far left. He was talking about the advantages of each sword, he just knew it.

"Skill Unlocked Demonic Common (1)"

What?

Just as a mysterious voice that sounded like Salem finished speaking everything my family was saying grew far clearer. "So, what mat$%i*l do you want to use?" I heard father asked, even as some of the words were still difficult for me to Understand. My mother seemed to notice my confusion, looking down at me with a kind smile. "Yes sweetie, Papa is going to help your big sis forge her own sword." His mother spoke with kind words. A kind smile on her face as she began rocking me back and forth.

I could feel my eyes grow heavier from the motion. "Don't worry sweetie, one day papa will help you forge your own sword." he heard his mother say before he fell asleep.

Laying awake in the dead of night I look at my status screen once more.

Name: Jaune Arc (Jonathan Miles Luna)

Level: One

Level Progression: 2/25

Age: 0 years, 7 months.

Race: Demon Hybrid.

Class: None.

Hp: 7/7

Mp: 3/3

Attack: 5

Defense: 6

Magic Power: 0

Magic Defense: 0

Speed: 2

Skills: Demonic Common (1)

Unspent Xp: 105

It was still so strange. One moment I was nearly hopeless in understanding what my family was saying, then I start connecting some dots and I get this Skill, Demonic Common (1). So, the language here is called Demonic Common, and this skill meant that I could understand the basics of it.

If only I could improve it.

"Would you like to spend XP to advance Skill: Demonic Common (1) too Demonic Common (2)?" The same voice of Salem asked. He wasn't sure if this was actually Salem or just some part fo the status system in place. 'How much would it even cost?' I mused.

"Advancement of Skill: Demonic Common (1) too Demonic Common (2) will cost 5 XP, would you like to spent your XP?" The monotone voice of Salem asked. 'Ok, it costs me 5 XP, and I somehow got 5 XP after unlocking the skill.' I paused my musing to shift around in my crib. 'Yes, I would like to spend 5 XP to improve my skill.' I thought.

I suddenly felt a strange surge through my body. Everything around me now felt clearer. I could make out the titles of the children's books on a nearby bookcase. I could even read the large letters on the decorative window in my room.

"Skill: Demonic Common (1) has been advanced too Demonic Common (2). Thank you for your purchase." Salem's voice said.

It was still so strange, to think that my life had taken such a turn, I wonder if Pyr had made the same choice I had, or if she chose not to be reincarnated.

Who knows, maybe they'll meet again.

I was now three years old, living most of my life watching as my sisters training continued. My mother said that I'd begin training when I turned five, like all my sisters had before me.

Still live carried onwards. I would watch as my mother and the servants prepare dinner, sometimes my older sisters would join in, even if they were limited to lesser tasks.

Then I noticed my mother was slowing down from time to time. She was constantly pausing, rubbing her back, before one of the servants would help her to the nearest seat. My sisters didn't seem worried, but my father appeared to be ecstatic. He was dotting on mom, even going so far as to carry her around the Manor from time to time.

I could hear whispers from my sisters, a mix of exasperation and joy. His mother was pregnant, he was going to be an older brother.
