R-00: Prologue

Two millenniums ago, a war emerged about the control of the world. The defender: the human world, and the attacker: the underworld, there was a demon who rebelled against the evil demon king for the sake of humanity. He sealed away the portal connecting the underworld to the human domain with his sword, but due to him being a demon, his power was sealed on the other side. It was not long until the demon king broke through the seal and resumed the score. This heroic demon bore two sons before his death. This heroic demon's name was Sparda.

Date: June 15, 2026. Location: Redgrave City. Vergil fights off a horde of demons causing havoc in the city. It was not long ago that the demonic tree grew from the Underworld and gave Vergil power. Power is the main thing Vergil wants, and will do anything to gain it, even if it means killing his own twin brother, Dante.

Vergil: Fall, you scum!

Vergil performs a Judgement Cut End, dealing massive damage to the demons encircling him.

Vergil: My power shall be absolute.

All of a sudden, a portal opens out of nowhere. It seems to lead to a city in Liberia.

Vergil: Shall I entrust it… to this?

The sirens blare more and more, as Vergil locks eyes on more of the demons appearing out of thin air

Vergil (running his hand through his hair): You're wasting my time.

Vergil enters the portal standing in front of him. He seals the portal using the sword his father gave him: Yamato.

The surroundings reveal to be what looks like a normal, peaceful city: children playing, men and women walking on the sidewalk, cars driving on the street. Somewhere peaceful, at last?

Vergil: Finally. A location for which may be worthy of finding a great number of opponents.

Setting: Car. The main boss inside is the Liberian Prime Minister: N'mani, about to deliver a speech to the people in the city. Other governmental vehicles patrol around the car, ensuring safety in the event of an attack. N'mani looks out of the window of the car.

N'mani: Three years… We've come so far in just three short years.

N'mani Bodyguard: The sign of a strong leader, sir.

N'mani: No, the will of the strong people.

The children play in the puddles and the men and women are either walking or sitting down.

N'mani: And one very able advisor.

N'mani Bodyguard: Thank you, sir.

N'mani looks over to his team unit: Two cyborgs. One of them is a familiar face who helped Old Snake: Raiden.

N'mani: Your team deserves credit as well… Mr. Lightning Bolt.

Raiden takes his sunglasses off

Raiden: Just doing our job, Mr. Prime Minister.

N'mani: I must admit, I once thought of groups like yours as opportunists - enablers of war. But you've trained our new army well - order has returned sooner than expected.

There are many armed soldiers and military equipment on the street.

N'mani: Perhaps I was wrong about these "private military companies"...

Raiden: We prefer "private security provider," sir.

N'mani: Most of Maverick's contracts do focus on security.

Raiden: Yes, well "security" can mean many things.

Raiden puts his sunglasses back on

Raiden: There's a saying I like: "One sword keeps another in the sheath." Sometimes, the threat of violence alone is a deterrent. Sometimes, by taking a life, others can be preserved. It's the code the samurai lived by.

N'mani: Mm… A soldier and a philosopher. You are full of surprises, Mr. Lightning Bolt.

Raiden: I could say the same about you, Mr. Prime Minister.

The car makes an abrupt stop.

N'mani Bodyguard: What is happening?

Courtney (front passenger in the car): Something's blocking the lead vehicle… Hold on.

Vergil: *scoffs* For what reason do you stop an escort? Who dares interfere with this escort?

A Brazilian samurai with ultramodern military armor and cyborg enhancements holds the escort. The samurai swiftly unsheathes his sword.

Vergil: This may be fun.

Maverick Soldier 1 (mounted on a weaponized vehicle's machine gun): Clear the road! This is official state business!

The Brazilian samurai walks a few steps toward the Maverick soldiers, with his arm resting on his sheath, in which the sheath is attached to his hip. The Brazilian takes his sword out and inspects it. Red-white lightning spews from the blade.

Maverick Soldier 1: I said clear the road! We're authorized to use force if you do n-

The Brazilian charges at the Maverick soldier. The Maverick soldier fires several shots at the Brazilian, but the Brazilian dodges all of them. The Brazilian jumps into the air, parrying the bullets with his sword. The Brazilian samurai slices the Maverick soldier multiple times as the vehicle is airborne for a couple seconds, due to the impact of his landing. More Maverick soldiers enter the scene as backup.

Courtney: Leopard One! U-Turn! Turning back!

The escort vehicle drives away in a U-Turn.

As Maverick's backup points their weapons at the Brazilian samurai, the Brazilian turns his head around and smiles.

Maverick Soldier 2: Open fire!

Meanwhile, in the car…

N'mani: Who was that?

Raiden: A cyborg…

N'mani Bodyguard 2: One of our competitors?

Maverick leader, Boris, calls Courtney.

Boris: Courtney! What is happening?

Courtney: We got hit, sir. A cyborg!

Boris: Whose?

Courtney (searching): XIFF comes up "unaffiliated."

Boris: I'll notify all checkpoints, get N'mani out of there!

Courtney: Yes, sir.

A cyborg located on the roof of a building fires a rocket at the escort vehicle. The cyborg driver hits the brakes. Courtney and the crew witness their soldiers getting killed by these enemy cyborg soldiers. A truck drives into the alleway, with the trailer being that of a large wall, blocking the entrance/exit. The escort driver drives in reverse.

N'mani Bodyguard: We are going to die…

N'mani: Stay calm.

More blockades enter the scene, blocking the vehicle's escape. The cyborg driver puts the car in drive, and performs reckless driving onto the sidewalk as a last resort for escaping this hellish nightmare. They break through a barricade and drift right. 3 enemy cyborg soldiers drop in front of the escort vehicle, forcing the vehicle to stop.

Courtney: He's got friends! On our twelve!

Boris: Raiden!

Raiden: I'm on it. *takes sunglasses off* Guard the Prime Minister.

Raiden exits the vehicle, causing the brick ground to break as he takes the first step. He takes his suit off by throwing it into the air, revealing his cyborg body. Raiden holds a case in his right hand, which encapsulates his sword. The case opens and his sword floats mid-air. Raiden grabs the sword by the handle and throws the case backward, onto the ground. Raiden unsheathes his sword and places the scabbard on his left hip. Raiden demonstrates his special ability: Blade Mode. He cuts through a concrete wall beside him. The concrete wall demolishes and 3 containers fall onto the ground behind Raiden, ensuring nothing will get through and guarding the escort vehicle.

Raiden: Let's get this over with.

Raiden stances into a battle stance, activating his visor.

Vergil watches the chaos unfold. Bullets and rockets scatter the city, leaving buildings destroyed and fires burning.

Vergil: Interesting. This "samurai" seems to have some motivation coursing through him.

Vergil is apprehended by a few enemy soldiers.

Enemy soldier 1: What are you doing here? This place is off limits!

Vergil: Leave me.

Enemy soldier 2: Or what? You're gonna resist us? *laughs*

Vergil draws his Yamato and points it at the soldiers. The soldiers stood shocked as Vergil resisted.

Vergil: Leave me. I won't tell you a third time.

A moment of abrupt silence echoes the air.

Enemy soldier 1: 10-43: Threatening a soldier: Deadly force is authorized!

The soldiers draw their machetes, confident in defeating Vergil.

Vergil: You are not worthy as my opponent.

Vergil slices the enemy soldiers, now realizing they were cyborgs. The cyborg bodies explode, leaving nothing but a small pit of fire.

Vergil: What form of nonsense is this? Are those what humans call "cyborgs?"

Vergil seems intrigued that the humans can invent metal bodies.

Vergil: There's no time for doubt. I know what must be done.

Meanwhile, Raiden fights off the soldiers. As he returns to the vehicle, N'mani's bodyguards slice 2 of the enemy soldiers. One of the bodyguards looks at the ocean, seeing something unusual. Suddenly, a giant AI-Powered machine jumps from the water onto the land. The machine fires a plasma laser in an attempt to kill the bodyguards. The bodyguards dodge the attack, but the giant machine causes collateral damage, blasting a building in half.

Meanwhile, Courtney was evacuated from the scene. N'mani was injured, barely able to move. The car flipped upside down due to the rocket explosion. N'mani attempts to crawl out of the vehicle. One of N'mani's bodyguards approach the flipped car, only to be struck down by a man airborne, who appears to have jumped off a high altitude, slicing the bodyguard's arms off using both of his blades. The intruder slices down the bodyguard multiple times. N'mani's other bodyguard tries to attack the intruder from behind, but is countered by one of his blades. The intruder attempts to slice the bodyguard, but the bodyguard moves back and dodges the blade. N'mani's bodyguard once again attempts to stab the intruder, but the intruder parries his attack with one of his blades, and slices the bodyguard's right arm off with the other blade. The intruder combines his blades into a weird little device in his right arm and slowly slices the bodyguard's head. The intruder chuckles, as the bodyguard tries to resist. The intruder cuts the target using his pair of blades as scissors, beheading the bodyguard. N'mani continues to crawl out of the vehicle, but is pulled and taken by an unknown individual. It turns out that the intruder grabs N'mani by the foot, holding him upside down on top of the car. The intruder then carries N'mani on his shoulder and proceeds to walk away, until apprehended.

?: Stop!

It turns out that Raiden arrives at the scene, ready to kill this insane intruder. The intruder turns around and looks at Raiden.

Intruder: So you're Jack.

Raiden: What do you want with the Prime Minister?

Intruder: I want him… dead. Nothing personal, 'course. Africa's just gettin' a bit too peaceful.

Raiden: What?

Intruder: Business ain't been the same since they shut down SOP. "A clean break from the war economy." Well some of us liked the economy. How's an honest warmonger supposed to make a living?

Raiden: This is your answer?

The intruder slowly draws his blade, ready to kill N'mani.

Raiden: Don't do it!

Intruder: Don't worry now, I won't. Not while he's still useful. So long…

The intruder leaps to the roof of a building. Raiden activates his visor and begins to chase after. Not a few seconds later, the intruder calls out to something… the machine that tried to kill the bodyguards! The machine jumps in front of Raiden, ready to fight him.

Vergil: How pathetic. This man "Raiden" seems to have no motivation and power… I'm interested in how this will go for Raiden.

Raiden: That's… Metal Gear Ray?

The Machine, named Metal Gear Ray, attempts to shoot its plasma laser at Raiden.

Boris (on codec): Son of a… they swapped out the hydraulic cutter for a plasma cannon! Use your Ninja Run to dodge that plasma!

Vergil: So that giant machine is named "Metal Gear Ray."

Raiden tries to cut through the metal gear, but fails.

Vergil: Disappointing. Let's see if he is fooled into "defeating" this Ray.

Vergil performs a judgement cut, aimed at Metal Gear Ray. Raiden is fooled into believing he is able to defeat Metal Gear Ray with ease. Vergil watches Raiden throw Metal Gear Ray into the air and slice its arm off, clearly disappointed and frustrated.

Vergil: Foolishness, Raiden.

After Raiden "kills" Metal Gear Ray.

Boris: Horosho! [Good!] very good! Now, do not rest easy just yet! He is on the other side of that collapsed building! Go!

Raiden runs towards a collapsed building. In the distance, he sees the intruder holding N'mani. Raiden chases after the intruder, reaching another rooftop of a building. All of a sudden, rockets fire and explode at the landscape in front of Raiden. A foe jumps into Raiden's sight. It's Metal Gear Ray?

Boris (on codec): That damn UG! It still works?

After a fight, Raiden jumps from missile to missile towards Ray and cuts its other arm off. Right when Raiden thought it was over, Ray grabs Raiden with its mouth and throws him into a wall. Raiden uses his wall-climbing ability to run down the wall and finish Ray. Raiden dodges missiles and plasma lasers as he traverses down the wall. Raiden jumps onto Ray and stabs Ray, sliding down Ray's body. Raiden sheaths his sword, completely cutting Metal Gear Ray in half.

Vergil watches Raiden finish Ray, feeling mocked and angry.

Vergil: Damn that insane buffoon! This is nonsense! For what reason does he have to imitate my skills?

The intruder runs towards a bridge, where he is apprehended by Maverick soldiers. He turns around and smiles, leaping onto an oncoming train.

Maverick soldier: The hell?

Raiden, chasing after the intruder, uses Ninja Run.

Raiden: Damnit.

Raiden runs past the soldiers and turns using his hand and sliding. He proceeds to climb and run on a wall, then proceeds to jump onto the train.

As Raiden heads down the train, Vergil opens a portal behind Raiden, but Raiden is completely unaware about Vergil's appearance.

Raiden heads down the train and sees a VTOL fly over him. Boris tells him to keep an eye on it.

Raiden reaches the intruder. A familiar face is seen: The Brazilian.

Raiden: Prime Minister!

Raiden sees N'mani chained up. The intruder notices Raiden's return.

Intruder: Too little, too late, hero. (pointing one of his blades at N'mani's neck) I won't be needing my little shield here any longer.

Raiden: Stop!

The intruder pierces the dermis of N'mani's neck. He proceeds to choke N'mani.

Intruder: What about the good things war has done for us? Why don't we ever hear speeches about that? Jobs, technology, a common purpose…

The Brazilian yawns.

N'mani: Raiden… Forget me. Stop him!

Intruder (right in N'mani's face): You ain't listening!

The intruder cuts down the chains holding N'mani. N'mani tries to slowly crawl towards Raiden. Raiden runs to N'mani, desperate to stop the bullying. It was not long for the Brazilian samurai to intervene Raiden

Brazilian: Mind if I cut in?

The intruder lifts N'mani up by his head.

Intruder: All we're saying is, give war a chance!

The intruder stabs and kills N'mani in the chest. Some of N'mani's blood gets on Raiden.

Raiden: No!

The intruder dumps N'mani's body off the train using his sword. He proceeds to jump onto the freight container behind him. The VTOL hovers over the area. The Brazilian wipes the blood off his armor. A grappling hook detaches down to the train, the intruder chuckles.

Raiden: Out of my way!

The Brazilian knocks Raiden back with his sword after another short sword fight.

The intruder grabs the grappling hook and rappels up into the VTOL.

Intruder: He's all yours, Sam.

It was then found out the Brazilian samurai's name was Sam.

Sam enters a battle position, wanting a fight.

Sam: Let's go.

Raiden's visor activates again, ready to fight Sam.

— (a few moments earlier)

Vergil follows Raiden down the train, noticing the VTOL fly by.

Vergil: Is this man really that foolish? He's just taking a step towards death…

Vergil watches N'mani get killed, but doesn't show any reaction.

Vergil: There's no time for your escape, Raiden, Jack, whatever you are called… just what are your true intentions?

The intruder from earlier notices Vergil as he rappels to the chopper, but doesn't say anything, and informs the pilot about it.

Vergil: So they're retreating.

Raiden fights Sam in a tunnel. It was not long after until Sam got an advantage.

Sam: Hmm… self-taught and not half bad. Still…

Sam knocks Raiden off course. Raiden lands on the top of the tunnel, but Sam jumps from the train and knocks Raiden back onto the train. Raiden lands and rolls onto the freight train, while Sam lands without a problem.

Sam: Your technique… lacks something.

The two battle it out again, their swords clashing together.

Sam: Now I see, you deny your weapon its purpose!

Raiden is shocked, while Sam smiles. Sam whacks Raiden with the handle of his sword and kicks him back. Sam cuts Raiden's left eye and his visor off, knocking him back. Raiden's hand gazes over his now-gone eye.

Sam (inspecting his sword more): It yearns to bathe in the blood of your enemies… but you hold it back.

Raiden: No…

Sam looks at Raiden, intrigued. Raiden gets up and points his sword at Sam.

Raiden: My sword is a tool of justice.

Raiden takes his hand off his face, revealing his cut-off eye. Sam flips his sword twice before stabbing it into the freight train's container, which appeared to be a fuel tank. Sam, with his sword now lit on fire, tries to cut Raiden, but Raiden dodges. Sam continues his attack, but Raiden performs a Defensive-Offense, jumping backwards onto the previous part of the train. The fuel tank explodes, but Sam jumps towards Raiden before it explodes, ready to cut him. After a few moments of whacking and clashing, Sam sheaths his sword. Raiden, thinking this is a perfect time to attack, rushes in to attack Sam. Sam, having already predicted this outcome, pulls the trigger on his scabbard, shooting his sword like a gun. Sam grabs the sword and slices Raiden's left arm off. Sam's cybernetic right arm spews with red-white lightning, before chuckling at his success. Raiden is pushed back, but barely manages to keep his balance. Raiden also loses a ton of blood, as it courses down his wound, not unlike how rain falls to the ground.

Raiden: Shit! Not again…

Vergil, having seen the fight turn around both physically and literally, watches Sam taunt Raiden.

Sam: Oh, did you want to practice first?

Vergil (to self): Heal your wounds, Raiden. Get strong. After that, you shall settle the matter.

Sam whacks Raiden towards the end of the train. Raiden falls off, but grabs onto the ledge of the train. Sam approaches Raiden as they reach the end of the tunnel.

Sam: This is what happens when you bring a tool to a swordfight. It's over.

Sam readies himself to finish Raiden, but as he prepares for the final strike, the train exits the tunnel.

Sam: *laughs* Lucky devil…

Bullets fire towards Sam. Sam is aware of this and blocks the bullets. It turns out that Boris joins the fight, mounted on the machine gun of a weaponized vehicle.

Boris: Kept you waiting, ah?

More and more bullets rain upon Sam. Raiden manages to climb back onto the train. Suddenly, a VTOL aircraft hovers over Sam and detaches the grappling hook. Sam grabs it and escapes the scene. Boris doesn't give up, as he reaches into the vehicle to grab a homing launcher. Boris locks onto the VTOL aircraft.

Boris: Down you go!

Boris fires the shot, along with multiple other soldiers. The VTOL releases flares, deflecting the homing missiles.

Boris: Flares?!

The homing missiles aim directly for the flares, missing the VTOL aircraft completely. Boris tries to lock onto the VTOL again, only to realize it's too late: the VTOL is out of sight.

Boris: (grunts)

Raiden clenches his fist, defeated. He blacks out due to blood loss.

Vergil, witnessing the small quarrel, walks toward the unconscious Raiden.

Vergil: Foolishness, Raiden. Foolishness. Might controls everything. And without strength, you cannot protect anything. Let alone yourself.

Boris (to self): Who is that guy approaching Raiden?

Boris, along with the other Maverick soldiers, decide to drive to the train station to pick up Raiden.

Vergil: Possibly, you will not be as useless as intended…

Vergil grabs Raiden by his right arm. He proceeds to throw Raiden into the rocky wall beside him, taking Raiden's right arm. Raiden, in a blacked out state, rolls down the rocks like a ragdoll.

Vergil: I'm taking this with me.

Vergil draws his Yamato and slices the air twice, opening a portal to Downtown Denver, Colorado.

Vergil: Thank you, Raiden.

Vergil walks through the portal, sealing it behind him.

After a few hours, Raiden wakes up, in heavy pain.

Raiden: Dam…nit.

Raiden receives a call on Codec. Raiden, not knowing his right arm was also severed, tries to answer the call using his "hand." Raiden looks at his right arm, frightened and screaming in pain. Raiden, having what leftover strength he had, uses his right shoulder to answer the codec call. Boris joins the line.

Boris: Raiden, what is your status? We can't find you on the train!

Raiden grunts, barely able to speak.

Boris: Raiden?

Raiden: C…come b…back… to the… train… tracks… where Sam… left…

Boris: What happened? Did you fall off the train?

Raiden: Y-yes.

Boris: Shit! Stay there, Raiden! We're sending an escort team back to the AO. Stay at your current position!

About an hour later, the escort team arrives, carrying Raiden to a helicopter.

Vergil, wearing a cloak he bought from a shop, walks around Denver, inspecting the public and their true intentions. Vergil decides to walk into an alleyway, which possibly leads to a skyscraper. A man appears on one of the many billboards, guarding the alleyway. It appears to be the intruder that killed N'mani!

Intruder: Explain yourself and state your business here.

Vergil chooses to ignore and keeps walking.

Intruder: Are you deaf? I said, EXPLAIN YOURSELF!

Vergil stops in his tracks. He looks up at the holographic billboard.

Intruder: Now hol' on for just a few sec'nds. You're our little 'witness' from Liberia. *chuckles* Surrender yourself, weaklin'!

Vergil: I've come to gain more power.

Intruder: Power? *chuckles* For what reason? What and why do you want power?

Vergil: I have a job that must be done.

Intruder: And what is that duty?

Vergil: To surpass my father, Sparda.

Intruder: An interesting cause… I can possibly work something out for you, 'witness.'

Vergil: And that is?

Intruder: Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Sundowner, the leader of the Desperado Enforcement.

It turns out that the intruder who killed N'mani was named Sundowner.

Vergil: Pleasure to meet you, Sundowner. My name is Vergil, the superior son of Sparda.

Sundowner: Vergil? *laughs a bit* What kind of name is Vergil?

Vergil: You mock me?!

Sundowner: *chuckles more* Anyways, 'Vergil,' I can tell you a way to gain more power, all you have to do is a little favor for me… But, we can get into that topic when we reach that depth. Make your way to the rooftop of the World Marshal Headquarters. It's the skyscraper right in front of you.

Vergil walks to the HQ. As he enters the building, he is apprehended by two cyborgs.

Cyborg 1: Welcome to World Marshal, may we assist you?

Vergil: I'm here to meet Sundowner.

Cyborg 2: I'm sorry, but we cannot disclose that information right now.

Vergil: What?

Cyborg 1 and 2: I'm sorry, but we cannot disclose that information right now.

Vergil: What are you getting at?

Cyborg 1: I'm sorry, but we cannot disclose that information right now.

Vergil: What form of nonsense is this?

Cyborg 2: I'm sorry, but we cannot disclose that information right now.

Cyborg 1: I'm sorry, but we cannot disclose that 00100010111000010011.

Cyborg 2: 0011110000110111000011100011110001110001110011.

Vergil: Disappointing… these cyborgs must be damaged… possibly malfunctioned.

The two cyborgs malfunction and explode.

Vergil: This inconvenience is rather preternatural… And matters not.

Vergil walks past the security gates. Alarms blare as the system is "Armed: Stay."

Vergil: How strange…

Vergil, desperately wanting this "power," opens a portal to the rooftop of the skyscraper, where Sundowner is.

Sundowner: So, you didn't feel like fighting, did ya? Well, enough chit-chat. Let me cut to the chase… The excuse we have all been waiting for. America loves war. War is part of the economy. And how do we keep war in the business? We extract the brains of children to do our dirty work for us. They enjoy it, though. They do kill some PDWs, some civilians! *chuckles* Plus, they get a shiny new body as a graduation prese-

Vergil: That's none of my concern.

Sundowner: What's this, Vergil? And why is that? Do you refuse to give up your humanity?

Vergil: After I retained my humanity, because of the crimes I have committed in my endless pursuit of power, I've realized that power is not the only form of strength, but emotion, my surroundings, and mental health as well, and the amount of pain and destruction I have caused to not only myself, but the entirety of humanity.

Sundowner: What you're telling me is that you are not human? And yet you also said to be the son of some dumbass named Sparda.

Vergil: YOU'RE WASTING TIME!

Sundowner (in a deep monotone voice): All I'm saying is, GIVE UP YOUR HUMANITY, AND BECOME MY KIN, ONE WHO IS FUCKING INVINCIBLE! And Jack, on the other hand, is weak, one who protects the children.

Vergil walks towards Sundowner.

Vergil: Does that 'man' really bother you?

Sundowner: What are you talking about?

Vergil: Why didn't you kill him yourself? Why did you want Sam to try his luck? Perhaps, is it because Sam is hypothetically a stronger foe?

Sundowner: That's none of your business-

Vergil stabs Sundowner in the chest with the Yamato. Sundowner grabs the blade of the sword and desperately but ineffectively tries to push the blade out of his chest, wanting Vergil to stop.

Vergil: In order to further the chances of becoming recognisable as a foe, you sacrificed the Prime Minister. Knowing this, I'd thought you'd be more useful to me, but now you have proven the fact that I was erroneous about you.

Sundowner: B-but… what about t-the p-p-power? I can… allow you to… rule the city of… D-Denver!

Vergil: What a pitiful attempt of bribery. This "power" you speak of, is utterly useless to me, as this does not pertain to Sparda's power. Your "tactics" of misguidance… matters not.

Sundowner: P-power… o-of Sparda?

Vergil: Concluding this "conversation," your cause was to be a killing machine, but you also refuse your cause.

Sundowner: Vergil…! You're… just a… human… that's why you are like a… vole that… tunneled into an abattoir!

Vergil: Shut up, you eyesore.

Vergil takes the Yamato out of Sundowner's chest. Due to the Yamato being able to warp time, Sundowner freezes in time, unable to move one bit. Vergil slowly sheaths the Yamato. Not only does the Yamato sheath effect remove the time-freeze on Sundowner, but also deals massive damage to Sundowner, killing him.

Vergil: Now that you've revealed to me your organization's true intention, I have no use for you.

Vergil jumps down the rooftop of World Marshal, landing onto the ground. Alarms blare around the skyscraper, signaling an assassination attempt.

Vergil, intrigued in Denver, buys another cloak from a nearby shop. He then sets foot, hiding his identity.
