Okay, I'm just going to get this outta the way really quick: I got inspiration for this story after re-reading the beginning of Decade: Reality and Consequences again and again. And yes, I am well aware that I am doing something similar to their story, but I'm gonna be having Rangers speak in my main character's head. Yeah, this is gonna be a Power Rangers spin-off of the original story, with various heroes from Mighty Morphin' to Dino/Cosmic Fury as guides, unadapted Sentais as part of the various Ranger summons in Super Mega Mode, unadapted monsters as adversaries, and a lead heroine who understands a bit more about her situation. So thank you, JurgenZero2034, for the inspiration. I know it's been a while since we've last chatted, but I hope you approve of this concept. With that said, let's begin.

Disclaimer: I don't own Power Rangers, as it is a product of Hasbro, nor do I own "Decade: Reality and Consequences", as that was created by JurgenZero2034, and I definitely don't own any references to other media like Super Sentai or any anime or musical references. I only own my OCs.

(Monday April 6th, 8:30 AM PST)

I guess before everything else happens, I need to tell you about me: I am a total nerd when it comes to Japanese culture. Tokusatsu, anime, food, you name it. I've pretty much been living and breathing Japanese culture since I traveled to Kyoto as a child and it's a part of who I am, literally. I'm Japanese-American, but I don't let that get me down. I stick to writing English in my online classes (I'm hoping to be a best selling author one day), but when I'm by myself, I practice my kanjis in my special notebook and I have practiced karate and judo for several years, earning black belts in the third and first degrees respectively, so I know how to defend myself. But I wasn't really expecting to be embroiled in real life monster fighting. Before I get too far ahead, let's start back where the whole thing began.

I was just finishing up the latest episode of Fuuto PI (I know, I'm just as excited as you that they made an anime out of the sequel to one of the best Rider seasons, I just wish they had more episodes) and getting ready for work, my job being at my area's local newspaper office (Totally Clark Kent, right?) when I heard something at the door... or someone.

Grabbing a kunai from my bag for safety, I went to the door, but stayed to the side momentarily as I called out, "Who's there? I swear to God, if that's a burglar, I will warn you I am armed and I know how to fight!"

Nothing. Sounded like no one was there. That was... odd, to say the least.

I carefully opened the door and looked outside: No one was there... except for a package at my feet.

I made a face and picked up the package, bringing it inside for a closer inspection and sitting at my table as I turned it around. No return address... but there was a note taped on the corner of the box... addressed to me of all people.

Curiously, I took the note off and looked at the writing as I read to myself:

Danger has come to your world. The Super Mega Morpher will help you through every problem and grant you our powers.

I scoffed slightly as I shook my head. "Great. A fortune cookie changer." Although, the writing did feel familiar to me, and... wait, hold on. Morpher?!

I quickly opened the box and inside was something I never expected to see: The morpher known as the Super Mega Morpher, a sleek red and black cellphone looking morpher that could flip open and allow a Ranger Key to be inserted into the key hole in its middle. Speaking of which, a Ranger Key was sitting next to it, but it looked like a Super Megaforce Key but... it was modeled after the female suited version of Big One from Gokaiger with more colors on the skirt, oddly enough. Not that I was that picky, though.

"What the hell?" I slowly picked up the Key and held it in confusion, a feeling of warmth coming from the item, as if something was comforting me from inside it...

Looking at the clock suddenly, I noticed the time. "Oh my gosh, I'm gonna be so late!" Stuffing the Morpher in my bag and the Ranger Key in my pocket, I decided that I'd worry about the confusion later and dashed out of the house quickly, getting on my Ducati and putting my helmet on before I started the engine and took off down the street.

(A Few Hours Later)

I was typing out my story on the unknown occurrences in New York, the boss knowing I had familiarity with some of the so called "X-Lifeforms". Please, like that was a good name for them? Honestly, I'm surprised the New Yorkers started accepting the term "Kaijins".

Once I got my story submitted to the editor, I headed to the break room and went on my lunch period, unpacking a simple noodle cup with an apple and some root beer and filling my Ramen cup with hot water.

As I started to eat, I looked at my Ranger Key and made a face. Who would have sent it to me and why? Would it be like in New York with the other Kaijins? Or would there be more Kaijins here that came from New York as well and were all probably different? Was there a whole invasion of the monsters from fantasy? Was it just Neo-Decade, his allies, and myself and whatever allies I had who would be able to stop them?

Unfortunately, this was giving me more questions than answers and one hell of a headache, so for the time being, I decided to pocket my Key again and just wait until I needed to use it.

As I slurped up some noodles, a couple of my coworkers were chatting about something that caught my attention:

"So you know how there's those freaky monsters running around in New York?"

"Oh my God, I heard of the same thing! The crazy thing is I saw some kind of creature meandering through the woods the other day!"

"What did it look like?"

"I don't know, some kind of... humanoid bird? Said something like... "Dai Shi" when he was attacking some trees?"

Dai Shi? Humanoid bird?! That would mean the creature she had seen would be the Sky Overlord Carnisoar, an ally to the titular villain!

Alright, pause for a moment while I give you the lowdown on Dai Shi: Essentially, he's an evil spirit who, like many of the Power Rangers villains, tried to take over the world a long time ago, but in the modern era, he had to use the body of a former Pai Zhuq student who was pretty much a bully from the beginning, and yet Jarrod grew in character and was able to resist Dai Shi just in time for the final battle. I always found that weird...

Anyway, as I was finishing up and heading back to my desk, I suddenly stumbled as I felt shockwaves from an explosion. "Whoa!" I grabbed on to the windowsill and looked down, and what I saw shocked me to no end: Epoxar was attacking the city!

Basically, about Epoxar: He is one hell of a sticky monster from Power Rangers Samurai, both figuratively and literally. He can fire glue pockets from his body and get people stuck to anything, and as long as he's around, there's no escaping the glue!

Looked like there was no choice! I dashed off to the nearest closet, out of sight of anyone else, and grabbed my hoodie and face mask, taking my glasses off and inserting some earbuds as I thought to myself: "Great, first Rider Kaijins in New York and now Power Rangers monsters here in Grand Rapids. Could this get any worse? Alright, no time for pleasantries. It's go time!"

Grabbing my Morpher and Ranger Key, I dashed down the steps to the back alley as I inserted the Key in the keyhole. "Super Mega Mode!" Twisting the key, I jumped up and flipped through the trio of X's that appeared. Touching down, I made a beeline outside and instinctively summoned a weapon to my hands, surprisingly receiving the Hydro Bow, Samurai Blue's weapon. This would be fun.

Jumping up and drawing the handle back, I launched a shot at Epoxar, knocking him away from a couple of teens and landing by their side before I looked at them. "Are you two okay?"

The girl nodded to me, surprised by my appearance, but grateful all the same. "Thank you, miss."

I nodded back and helped her and her friend up. "Get to safety! I'll handle this one!" Watching the two leave, I returned my focus on the Nighlok and walked over, stopping a couple of feet away from him and shouldering my weapon. "I can't believe someone like you would target people just to stick them together and make them miserable! That kind of behavior is unforgivable!"

He got up in annoyance. "Damn woman, interrupting my fun! Who the hell are you anyway?!"

I smirked as I remembered the team motto and, as I raised my hand to the sky, I shouted confidently: "Earth's defender never surrenders! I am Super Megaforce Rainbow!"

The crowd around me was absolutely confused, but at the same time they were amazed, taking pictures of me.

"Super Megaforce Rainbow? Jeez, just choose a color!" Epoxar shouted in annoyance, charging at me.

But he didn't know what I was capable of. As he tried to slash me with his weapon, I blocked easily and kicked him in the gut, backing up and utilizing my martial arts knowledge to my advantage, and boy, was this incredible! I was making good use of kicks, flips, and aerial attacks, and it all felt like I was a stunt actress on wires, only I had no wires! Even when he tried to glue me down, I was easily dodging all of it while ensuring no one else was hurt!

After a hard backflip kick knocked the Nighlok back, he growled in annoyance. "That hurts! Moogers!"

Out of multiple cracks nearby, a platoon of Moogers emerged and gathered around Epoxar.

Okay, Moogers: They're basically fish faced humanoid monsters who... have some intelligence (basically enough to use their weapons without hurting themselves) and live to serve the head honcho, Master Xandred.

As if I was being guided, I hit the button on my buckle and pulled out a Samurai Red Key, but in the team colors. "Okay, let's see what my powers can do!" I flipped open my Morpher and flipped the Key bottom up, moving my arms fluidly and locking the Key inside the hole before twisting it and holding the Morpher out. "Legendary Ranger summons: Samurai!"

A bright light started shining from the Morpher and five figures came out of light balls, forming into the Samurai Rangers.

The team's suits are pretty standard: mainly one color each with white gloves and color coordination in the boots, but their suits were stylized to be more on the Japanese samurai style with kanji shaped visors on their helmets, plus their team weapon was the stylish Spin Sword.

I took position between Red and Blue before I cracked my knuckles. "Alright, let's do this!" I led the group into battle against the Moogers and we utilized our weapons to their fullest, each of the Rangers using their respective weapons while I called on my own weapon, which turned out to be a pair of kunais that remarkably looked just like lightning bolts. "Sweet! I think I'll call these babies the Lightning Kunais!" I twirled it expertly as I joined Red and Green in slashing down the Moogers.

I spun around and glared at Epoxar. "Now it's your turn!" I let the group reunite around me before we spun our elemental Discs. "Spin Sword: Six Way Strike!" We charged forward and unleashed our elemental attacks, slashing through Epoxar with me finishing up by unleashing a triple slash attack before jumping past him and landing by the team while Epoxar exploded from the multiple attacks.

I looked away from the explosion for a few seconds and checked back around, noticing the damage hadn't been as bad as I'd expected, a crater remaining where Epoxar was. Then again, some of the Power Rangers monsters weren't as... explosive as the Rider Kaijins.

"Whew." I twirled my Kunais and changed back to my base suit as the Samurai Rangers disappeared in a flash of light. "Glad that guy's not going giant." I noticed the people cheering me on and waved to them, dashing off and catching a ride from the Nitro Zord as it rumbled by and left some asphalt in the crater to cover the damage.

After changing back out of sight, I headed back into the office and adjusted my glasses, walking past the door to the chief's office before I heard his booming voice: "Stacey!"

I looked around quickly. "Yes, sir?"

He walked over to me. "I don't know why you missed the battle outside, but I need you to get a report to me on it, and I need it by tonight!"

I saluted to him. "Roger that, sir! I'll get right on it!"

Yeah, that's me. Stacey Sakamoto, now also known as Super Megaforce Rainbow. This was gonna be one hell of an adventure.

And that's the first chapter done. Stacey has been given her gear and is now recognized by the people as a hero unlike her college student counterpart. Sure, we can see she'll be seen as a menace by some, but who knows if the people will actually believe any stories she makes up?

Also, this is gonna be a loving tribute to the Power Rangers franchise for having gone strong for 30 years now and hopefully many more to come! If you guys have suggestions for any guides from each season for her, be they Rangers, mentors, or allies, lemme know in the comments! Lots of tribute chapters are gonna come soon, so keep your eyes peeled, and as always, read and review!
