I was supposed to be in detention…at a school that I hadn't even attended yet. I had gotten into trouble at my old school and they were basically punishing me at this new one. I was pretty sure that being in detention before my first day wouldn't exactly make me popular. I was also supposed to be meeting with my new foster dad today. I was a bit surprised that the state would approve letting a single man be a foster child for a teenage girl. I did already know how to fight, so I would be prepared if he tried to do anything to me. My name is Tomi Oliver.

As I was preparing to head into the school, I couldn't help but notice something on the ground. It looked like a coin of some kind except it was glowing green. Normally, I wouldn't pick up strange things on the ground there was something enthralling about it. I wasn't even sure if I knew what I was doing, but I reached down and grabbed it and I couldn't help but feel an energy flowing through me. I felt stronger, more powerful. I noticed for a second in the reflection of a car that my eyes were now green.

Kimberly's POV

I was in detention with my friends. Just a few weeks ago, we were strangers but now we were pretty much inseparable. The fact that we had to save the world together really forged some bonds between us. I was far changed from the girl who shared a nude picture of a friend to get back at her.

"Tommy Oliver? Tommy Oliver?" The teacher repeated. Part of me wondered what this guy had done because I had never seen him at school before. It looked like he wasn't coming.

At that point, the door opened suddenly. A short girl with brown hair and green eyes walked into the classroom. She was really pretty, but it probably wouldn't be a good idea to fall for a girl that I had seen in detention. Plus I hadn't told anyone that I liked girls yet. Yeah we knew that Trini did and I even had a bit of a crush on her as well, but I didn't want a relationship to end our friendship.

"Who are you, young lady?" The teacher asked. He was giving her a stern look that didn't seem to be affecting her demeanor at all.

"My name's Oliver…Tomi Oliver." She answered with a generally disinterested tone. Oh, so it wasn't a guy. I was a little bit embarrassed for assuming even though I had never met a girl named Tomi before. Though, I supposed I had heard of the president's Fox News groupie. How did this country make such a mistake?

"You're late." The teacher replied.

"Do I look like I care?" Tomi retorted. This girl was probably bad news, but there was still something sexy about her. I didn't even know what it was but there was just something about a bad girl that appealed to me.

"Go take a seat next to Ms. Hart." The teacher ordered. I couldn't but blush a little. I looked like I might be getting to know her. Well, that was if she decided to talk to me.

"I don't know who that is, but I can ask everyone here if you'd like." She quipped. I wanted to laugh at that, but I knew that I shouldn't. I figured that she was definitely new because I kind of had a bit of a reputation around the school. It would be nice to be around someone who didn't know what I had done.

Suddenly there was an explosion in the hallway.

"Cranston!" The teacher screamed. How many combustible things did Billy have around the school?

"My bad." Billy apologized. Yeah he was a little bit weird, but we were all just happy that he was alive after Rita had killed him. I don't understand how Zordon was able to bring him back to life, but it really didn't matter because he had done it and Billy was alive. I looked back at Tomi and couldn't help but notice the amused look on her face.

"Anyway, Miss Hart, please raise your hand." The teacher declared. I was pretty sure that he wanted to be here even less than we did. I blushed again and raised my hand and Tomi walked over to me.

We sat in silence for a few minutes before the teacher got up to go to the bathroom.

"So, are you new here? And if so how did you already get detention?" I asked.

"My old school thought that my detention should be transferred here." She replied. She had this monotone to her that seemed to indicate that she lacked interest in things. It could just be that she didn't want to be in detention.

"What did you do?" I asked. I wasn't sure if I should expect her to answer me.

"I did in a striptease in the school hallway." She replied. I wasn't sure if she was telling the truth or not. Judging by how she was dressed, I severely doubted it though. "Everyone saw my boobs."

I decided to at least act like I believed her. I wasn't sure how convincing I was at it. Though at that point, she said something that definitely caught me off-guard.

"Do you want to see them?" She replied. I blushed brightly. This girl was good at making me do that.

Again, I didn't know if it was a joke or an actual come-on. If it was the latter, this girl was very forward. I decided that it would be best to take it as the former because it was probably the better choice. It wasn't like I could say yes to it, considering that I had just met her and I was pretty sure that I had more self-respect than that, even though seeing her naked didn't automatically mean we would have sex.

"I don't really need to see that. I've got a pair of my own." I responded. I didn't know why I said that. It was a bit of a stupid thing to say and it pretty much set her up for what she said next.

"Maybe you could show them to me sometime." She flirted.

"I don't think that would be a very good idea." I retorted. Part of me wondered if she was going to keep flirting with me and also if she was even serious in what she was asking or if she was just messing with me.

"That's what makes it fun." She stated. "So how did you land in detention?"

That was something that I couldn't tell her. I didn't want her to be immediately turned off by what I said to her. I was ashamed of letting people know what I did.

"I don't want to talk about it." I answered. I wasn't sure how she felt about bullying but I didn't want her to know that I used to be one. I still couldn't figure who she really was. I wondered if I should try to research her. I had done it for cheerleading before. It was how I managed to convince Aisha to join the squad. She then looked away from me.

It was at that point that the teacher returned, so maybe she was just reacting to that.

After detention was over, I decided to meet up with Jason, Billy, Trini and Zack. Even though Rita was defeated, that didn't mean that we would stop being friends. Of course, since the Krispy Kreme was destroyed, we would have to find somewhere else to hang out. It was then that I saw Tomi in the parking lot and decided to try to get her attention.

"Hey Tomi!" I called to her. She then turned her and looked at me. She walked close enough so I could talk to her without yelling but not close enough to touch. "Do you want to hang out with us?"

"I can't. I have to go meet my new foster dad." She answered before she walked away. I couldn't help but notice she said only dad, not mom and dad, not dads. I found it odd that the state would let a single man look after a teenage girl. Why would a single man want to foster anyway?

"So she seems different." Trini commented.

"That's one way to describe her." I declared.

"So what did you find out about her?" Jason asked. I kind of wondered why everyone was so interested in her. Maybe it was just because we didn't get a lot of new people in Angel Grove.

"I don't even know if anything she was telling me was true." I admitted. Literally the only thing that I knew about her for certain was her name, which I didn't even know how she got considering that it was not a very common girl's name.

"People we need to focus." Zach interrupted. "Since the Krispy Kreme is no longer around we need to find a new place to hang out."

"I've actually prepared a list of places that we could go that have indoor seating but aren't exactly fast food restaurants." Billy declared. I supposed that was a thing that he did. He then presented each of us a copy. He really didn't need to do that, but I didn't understand how autistic people thought, so I supposed it was okay. "One of them actually just opened up and maybe we could go there. It's called Ernie's Juice Bar."

I supposed if the place sucked, we could always look somewhere else. The four of us nodded in agreement. It looked like we knew what we were going to do.

As we were driving there, I still couldn't get Tomi out of my head. Where was she from? How did she end up in foster care? What happened to her parents? Why was she in Angel Grove? I needed to talk to her in a setting that I actually could talk to her, which would probably mean getting to talk to her somewhere other than school.

When we arrived at the bar, we couldn't help but notice a heavyset guy in a Hawaiian shirt behind the counter.

"Customers." He said. "Hey, everyone, I'm Ernie. Welcome to the juice bar. How about I give you something on the house to start?"

I didn't know about the others, but I wouldn't turn down a free drink. If they were bad, we wouldn't have to come back. I wasn't even sure if we could have digestive issues due to the whole healing thing. I didn't understand how the superpowers worked and I didn't even really want to know to be honest.

"Okay." I stated. "I'll have a Strawberry Wonder."

He nodded and prepared a pink smoothie for me. It smelled okay. I took the cup and slowly brought it to my mouth and wow. It was amazing. It was the best smoothie that I had ever had.

"Oh my god." I declared as I licked my lips. "This is perfect."

That led to the rest of them each ordering some drinks and we went to get a table.

"You know this might be the place." I remarked.

"I'm just glad that we're still friends after all of this is over." Trini commented.

"Do you really think that it's over?" Zack asked.

"Why wouldn't it be?" Jason inquired. I hoped that it was over because I really didn't want to have to do anything like that again. It was cool being a Power Ranger, but I felt like I needed to take a break from it, at least for a little while.

"Well in the movies, there's never just one threat. Do you think that Rita was the only one who knew about the Zeo Crystal? There could be other aliens too that want it. I mean, it's definitely possible." Billy said. I seriously hoped he was wrong.

"What are you kids talking about?" Ernie asked as he came to our table.

"You know just the latest video game." Jason lied. I mean we weren't supposed to tell anyone who we were. It seemed like it he either believed it or he understood that we didn't want to talk about it because he gave us our drinks and walked away.

For the rest of the weekend, I was still thinking about Tomi. I knew that I probably shouldn't be but she had gotten inside of my head. There was one thing that I knew for sure. When I got to school on Monday, I needed to talk to her again. I needed to speak to her again.

So I've had this idea in my head for years and finally got around to writing it. Tomi's actress was set in stone for a while because like Bryan Cranston, Britt Robertson actually got her career started in Power Rangers, appearing in an episode of Time Force as a child. Ernie is played by Paul Schrier and there may other Power Rangers actors who cameo as well. Anyway, please don't forget to review.
