Mkail's P.O.V.

Sijur and I were walking quietly as the sun was setting, but it got me thinking. I looked up at Sijur, who was walking ahead, and said, 'Sijur.' He looked at me and I asked, 'Can I ask you something?' He replied, 'Sure.' I continued, 'You know how I got lost, but I was wondering why you were out in the storm?' He looked surprised and turned to me. I added, 'If it's personal, I understand if you don't want to talk about it.' He said, 'No, it's fine,' and took my hand. 'Come on, I will tell you as we walk.'

I blushed a little as we continued walking. He explained, 'The reason I was out was that I had just gotten back from a trip.' I asked, 'You travel?' He replied, 'Yes, some. I try not to go that far, but ever since I was younger, I have been.' He got kind of quiet, and I asked, 'Bullied?' He looked down and said, 'Yeah.' I expressed sympathy, saying, 'You ever tell your parents?' He replied, 'Yes, but they can't do anything.'

I said, 'I'm sorry.' He continued, 'I travel to find my place. I don't fit in with Vikings, and yet we are not allowed anywhere.' I said, 'I get it. I think that's why I do what I do because at home and even in a few places around the world, everyone just wants to see what I will do. Everyone thinks so highly of me, but I don't feel at home there. I mean, don't get me wrong. I love my family and the kingdom I live in, but...' Sijur interrupted me and said, 'I know what you mean.'

I smiled and said, 'Sijur.' He looked at me and I continued, 'Thank you for being honest with me.' Then, I hugged him."

"Sijur's P.O.V. After Mkail hugged me, I felt myself go beet red. I said, 'Oh, you're welcome,' and turned to hide my face. She apologized, saying, 'I'm sorry. That was probably weird.' She hid her face, and I said, 'It's fine.' We walked inside the house, and Mkail went to her room. I said, 'Mom, we're back,' but I didn't look at her. She said, 'Good, dinner is ready.' I replied, 'I'm not hungry.' She asked, 'Dear, is something wrong?' I said, 'No, I just have some stuff to think about.' I walked up to my room and lay on my bed. My heart was beating fast. I said to myself, 'Oh God, what is going on?' I put my hand over my face just as I heard a quiet knock.

I said, 'Yes,' and my dad came up. He asked, 'What's up, my boy?' I replied, 'How did you know?' He said, 'Your mother. She said you went up to your room and didn't want to eat.' I said, 'I just need to think.' He asked, 'Something happened?' I replied, 'Well, kind of.' He asked, 'What happened?' I explained, 'After we talked to her uncle, we started back. She asked me about why I was out in that storm as well.' He said, 'That didn't sound too bad.' I replied, 'It wasn't. It was after.' He asked, 'What happened?' I said, 'She hugged me.'

He smiled and said, 'I don't see how that is the problem.' I replied, 'I just feel weird. I mean, my heart was racing.' He chuckled and said, 'My boy, it's completely normal. It just means you like her.' I asked, 'Really?' He replied, 'I know it's all new to you.' I said, 'Yeah, it just threw me off. Now I don't know what to do as I have never felt like this.' He said, 'Yeah, I would be too. But I mean, I understand how you would feel that way. She is really something.'

I said, 'Yeah.' He continued, 'Tell you what. Just think about everything. It took me months to finally ask your mom.' I smiled and said, 'Really?' He replied, 'Yep.' I said thanks to him, and he said he would tell my mom that I just needed to think. He winked and left."

"Mkail's P.O.V.

After I lay on the bed, I hear a knock on the door. I say, 'Yes,' and invite the person in. It's Idonia, and she says, 'Sorry to bother you, but food is ready.' She brings it in, and I say, 'Thank you.' I look at the food and start eating it. After I finish, I lay back down just as I hear another quiet knock. I say, 'Yes,' and a quiet voice says, 'It's me, Idonia.' I say, 'Come in,' and she opens the door. She asks, 'Is something wrong? You and big brother are being weird.' I say, 'Knowing you, what can you do to help?' She says, 'Really?' and comes to sit on the bed. I smile and say, 'You'll understand when you're older.' She says, 'Mkail,' and I say, 'Yes?' She asks, 'Do you like my brother?' I say, 'What?' She says, 'My mom and dad were talking, and I overheard them say you like each other. What does that mean?' I smile and say, 'Well, I don't really know yet. I'm still figuring out some stuff. You should probably ask your parents.' She says, 'Really?' and nods. She then asks if we can play a little like we said this morning. I smile and say, 'You're right. I did say that.' She smiles as she runs out of the room to get some toys.

Hours later, after Idonia had fallen asleep, I smile and pick her up. I walk out into the hallway just as Sijur is walking out of his room. He looks my way and walks over. He says softly, 'I got her,' and takes her. We walk to the other end of the hall, and he puts her to bed. I smile as we leave the room and walk back to my room. I say, 'Sijur,' and he turns around and says, 'Yes?' I say, 'Oh, I wanted to say I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable about the whole hug thing.' He says softly, 'No, it's fine. I know you weren't just thinking.' I say, 'Yeah.' He's blushing a little, and I think I am as well. I say, 'Well, see you later.' I run into the room and shut the door and lean on it. I think to myself, 'Oh, I have to get out of here The longer I am here, the worse it will be. I think I am starting to fall for him, but after a minute, I stand up and walk over to the small window. I look out and say, 'I wonder.' I walk to where my riding outfit is and see that they put my dragon call there. I pick it up and run my fingers over it. I walk over to the window and blow it. After a minute, dawn comes, and I say, 'Hey girl,' as I pet my dragon. I walk over to a table and write a letter. I say, 'I will write to my parents. Can you get this to them?' My dragon lets out a little roar/squeak sound, and I give it to her. I say, 'Now go home. Take it to King Kion or Queen Rani of the Tree of Life.' She flies off, and I lay down on the bed as it's getting pretty late."

"Sijur's P.O.V.

I was trying to calm down a little, and I said, 'Oh, why does this have to happen?' I couldn't stop thinking about Mkail, and I said to myself, 'I have to stop thinking about her. She's not staying for much longer.' I laid back on the bed just as I heard something outside. I said, 'What is that?' and got up to walk over to the window. I opened it and saw a little dragon sitting there, looking at me. I realized it had a letter from Mkail, as her mom put some in there so she could write to her parents. I said, 'Hey there,' and petted it. I gave it some berries, and as it ate, I thought, 'What am I going to do? I'm falling for her.' The little dragon looked up at me, and I said, 'Mkail.' It let out a roar/squeak, and I said, 'It doesn't matter. Go on. Go home.' It roared/squeaked and took off. I said, 'I will think about it tomorrow,' and got ready for bed. I went to sleep."

"Kion's P.O.V. After I don't know how long, I got Rani calm, and she fell asleep. But I couldn't sleep, so I walked out to the balcony. I said, 'Mkail, wherever you are, please be safe.' Just then, one of the baby dragons we have came over with a letter. I said, 'Come girl,' and she landed and gave it to me. I opened the letter, and it said:

'Dear whoever is reading this,

I am okay. I should be back in a few days. When I am going to the Kingdom of... and will be back, I just wanted to make sure you know I am safe. I got lost and got a cold, but a very, very kind family found me and is taking good care of me. I am really having a great time. Tell Mirza to keep out of trouble, and tell Mirda I have some really cool stories to tell. Tell Manail that we need to talk when I get back, and tell Mallen I love him and Mom. See you soon.

I smiled and said, 'Thank God she is safe.' But I noticed that the paper is not of great quality, but it has some designs on it. I said, 'I have seen this before,' and walked to the study. I went over to where I keep notes about designs and saw that it is from the Viking family who was helping me rescue Rani when the triplets were born. So, I decided to just tell Rani that she's safe, not who she's with, just that she's safe."

And I smiled and I said thank God she is safe but I see the paper is not of great made but it has some designs on it and i said i have seen this before and I walked to the study and I walked over to to there I keep notes about designs and I see it is from the viking family who was helping me Rescue rani when the triplets where born so I decided to just tell rani she is safe not who is she is with just that she is safe

"Rani's P.O.V. I was resting when I felt the bed move a little. I felt Kion brush my hair softly and say, 'Babe, are you awake?' I said yes and turned around, laying in his arms. He smiled and said, 'I just got word from Mkail.' I sat up and said, 'What did it say?' He smiled and said, 'Easy. She said she got a cold and was lost, but she's fine because a family found her and will be sending her on her way.' I said, 'Really?' He got up and handed me the letter. I read it quickly and said, 'Good. Our little girl is safe. That is all that matters.' He said, 'See? Everything is fine.' I said, 'I guess. Do you think it is Vikings?' He said, 'I don't know, but at least she is safe and they are not going to hold her as a prisoner or something.' I said, 'True.' He said, 'Still tired?' I said, 'Always. It is the middle of the day.' He moved closer, and I rested my head on his shoulder. He said, 'Sleep. I will take care of things.' I smiled softly, snuggled close, and felt myself falling asleep.

"Kion's P.O.V. After Rani fell asleep, I got up and changed clothes. I called Mallen and Manail to the throne room, and they both came in. Manail said, 'Dad, what did you need?' I smiled softly and said, 'I just got word from your sister.' They both looked at me, and Manail said, 'What did she say?' I said, 'She will be a few more days. Something came up, but she is safe. And to tell you, Manail, that you two need to talk and that she loves you both.' Manail said, 'So the normal Mkail?' I said, 'Pretty much.' Just as a guard said, 'Your Majesty,' and I said, 'Yes,' they said Anter is here to see you. The guard gave a bow and left. After a minute, Anter walked in, and I turned to Manail and Mallen and said, 'You two better get back to work. We will talk more later.' Manail said, 'OK, Dad,' and Mallen nodded. They left, and I said to Anter, 'Where is Rani?' He said, 'Asleep finally.' He added, 'I can imagine having one kid missing hasn't been easy for her.' I said, 'You're right.' He said, 'So why did you come? You were not supposed to be here for a few more days.' He replied, 'I got word of where Mkail was, and she is safe. So I wanted to come tell you both personally.' I asked, 'Did you see her? How is she?' He smiled and said, 'Just fine. If anything, the one who has to worry is that boy.' He chuckled and said, 'She was rescued by a boy who took her back to his family's farm. They are nursing her back to health before setting her off.' I said, 'A farm boy is my guess?' He replied, 'Well...' I asked, 'Is he a problem?' He said, 'No, no. But you told me years ago when the triplets were pretty young Rani had been kidnapped by Vikings, right?' I replied, 'Yes. But thanks to this one couple, the triplets were born safe and sound.' He asked, 'Did you talk to them after that?' I replied, 'No. But I always wondered why.' He said, 'She was rescued by the son of that very couple.' I asked, 'How can you be sure?' He replied, 'You said their names were Alvis and Heidrun, right?' I said yes. He added, 'They had a son who is around Mkail's age.' I said, 'Really?' He replied, 'Yep. Sijur as I remember. A very spunky boy from what I could tell.' I said, 'Thanks for everything.' He smiled. I added, 'We are going to keep all this to ourselves.' He nodded. I said, 'If she is with who you say she is safe and we don't want to worry Rani.' He agreed. I said, 'Your sister is at home.' He replied, 'Good. I will probably say hi before going back.' I said, 'And I should probably go.' He nodded and left."
