Chapter 2

Evelyn meets Caleb.

Evelyn went into the house and gave her mother the snails. That she got for the potions. Lillian smiled and said "Thank you my dear. Would you mind helping me. Bottle the potions for tomorrow?" Evelyn nodded and replied "Sure thing Mom." Two hours later Lillian and Evelyn finished bottling the potions. Lillian thanked Evelyn and gave her some snails. Evelyn left her parents house and went to the woods. She got out a key and press the eye. The case appeared and expanded into a door. Evelyn plans on going back to Gravesfield.

She wants to keep an eye on. The young men that she saw the other night. She is interested in the older blonde male. Evelyn opened the door and went through. The door folded up and disappeared. Staying hidden Evelyn found the young men. She kept and eye on them until dark. As she watched the young men. Evelyn became more and more interested in. The older blonde male. And as she watched she over heard. The towns people talking to the young men about witches. And she doesn't like what she hears. It was then and there that. Evelyn decided to wait until she. Can get one of the young men alone. And talk to one of them. To tell them the true about witches.

Three days have passed and. It looks like Evelyn will finally. Be able to talk to one of the young men. And it's going to be the older blonde male. It's evening and the older blonde male is alone. Evelyn tapped the bird on the end of her staff.

"Ok Flapjack I need your help. Steal something of his and lead him to me." stated Evelyn

The red cardinal turned from wood to a real bird. He chirped and flew off. Flapjack flew over to where the blonde male is working. He saw that he took off his coat. So Flapjack flew down and landed on the coat. He chirped to get the young man's attention. The young man looked and saw the cardinal. Flapjack grabbed the coat and took off. The young man dropped the shovel he had. And chased after the cardinal. The young man chased the cardinal into the woods. When Flapjack got close to Evelyn. He dropped the coat landed on Evelyn's shoulder.

The young man found his coat and picked it up. He looked around wondering where the cardinal went. Suddenly he heard someone say "What the towns people say about witches wrong." The young man looked around and asked "Who's there? Show yourself." Evelyn stepped through the brush and in front the young man. The young man saw the woman and realized. That she has the same auburn hair. As the witch that he and his brother chased after. He can also see the cardinal sitting on shoulder.

"You're the witch that my brother. And I chased after." stated the young woman

"I am and I'm not a evil person. What the towns people. Say about witches is wrong." informed Evelyn

"You're a witch shy should I believe you?" And of course you will stick up for your kind." asked the young man

"I've been watching what you and the other mortals do. And so far you've been killing mortal women. I don't know if you all have. Killed any actual witches in this realm or not. But the witches that I know from my realm. Aren't evil and we don't worship a devil." explained the young woman

"You're realm mortal realm. What are you talking about?" asked the young man

"I some from a completely different realm called the demon realm. From a place called the Boiling Isles. Witches and other creature live there." replied the young woman

The young man just eyes her cautiously. Then the young woman said "We use out magic to help each other. For daily tasks and even to heal the injured." The young man didn't say anything. And just eyed her cautiously. Then the young woman asked "How about I tell you my name? My name is Evelyn Clawthrone."

"My name Caleb Wittebane." replied the young man

"There now we are getting somewhere. Now maybe I can tell you the truth about witches." suggested Evelyn

"I don't trust you. So I don't think I'm going. To believe anything you say." spat Caleb

"Ok, Ok calm down first maybe I can earn your trust first." Come meet me here at the same time. And I'll try yo do just that." suggest Evelyn

With that said Evelyn turned and left. Caleb went back to where he was working. He isn't sure about talking to Evelyn. Let alone telling his brother about this. The next day Evelyn returned to the same. Area at the same time. She waited and waited then she saw Caleb. Evelyn talked with Caleb for a while. Until he had to leave. Four days have later Evelyn is in the mortal realm. She is talking with Caleb and she has. Also been showing him what she can do. She has also told him that Flapjack is her palisman. Right now Philip is looking for his brother. He went to where Caleb usually working. Philip didn't see Caleb anywhere. He went up to one of the men and asked "Have you seen my brother Caleb?"

"I saw him sneak off that way." replied the man

Philip went off in the direction that the man pointed in. Soon Philip is in the woods and can hear talking. He followed the voices and found his brother. Philip can see a woman with him. He recognizes her hair as the witch that they had chased.

"Caleb how could you be talking to a witch?" asked Philip

Caleb and Evelyn looked and saw Philip. They can see that Philip looks angry. And Caleb can see a pitchfork in Philip's hand. Worried that Philip might attack Evelyn. He yelled "Evelyn Run!" The young woman got to her feet and ran. Philip looked at Caleb and asked "How could you let her get away?" Caleb stood and replied "Her name is Evelyn and she may be a witch. But she's really nice and she isn't. What everyone say witches are."

"Caleb I highly suggest that. You go to the church and talk to the pastor. And talk to the towns people. So that they can remind you what witches are." bellowed Philip

Caleb just rolled his eyes, walked away, from Philip, and said "I don't need to talk to them." Philip followed his brother trying to reason with him.
