So two guests will joining them for this chapter since Sophia accidentally dropped the remote and it needs to be fixed.
A flash of light appeared and two other characters appeared as the movie paused.
"Oh man, Miguel! You made me press the wrong button, buddy!" Sophia appeared while holding the remote in dismay.
"Sorry, Sophia! But when Nidas and Leonardo were shown, I couldn't help but scream." Miguel laughed sheepishly as Sophia just shook her head in amusement and looked at the newcomers.
"Well, looks like we have two other guests." She said as she took out an air horn.
"Might wanna cover your ears." She told them.
The team of the two dimensions looked at each other before covering their ears as Sophia pressed the air horn which made a loud honk.
That woke the two guests awake and they saw that one of them was another mutant turtle with an iconic red mask and the other was a human with raven black hair and cyan tips.
"Welcome to the theater, Raphael and Miyuki." Sophia said.
"Um, why are we here?" The girl, Miyuki asked.
"Good question. I may have accidentally brought here by pressing the wrong button and these guys are here to watch their future." Sophia said.
"Wait, ya accidentally brought us here just when we were having monster problems back in New York?" 2007 Raphael asked.
"Got that right. You two are stuck here until I fix the dang thing. Also you should go by a nickname since there's already two Raphael here." Sophia explained.
"He can go by Nightwatcher if he wants to." Miyuki suggested which made Raphael, Nightwatcher, to give her a look.
"Why?" He asked her curiously.
"Because there's two Raphael here and calling you Raph, Raphael with two others having the same name is gonna be confusing." Miyuki said with a shrug as she went to sit down.
"Whatever ya, Miyuki." Nightwatcher said as he went with the flow and sat down next to her.
"Wait, are you two dating?" Miguel suddenly asked which sent the two blushing instantly.
"Okay, let's resume shall we?" Sophia said loudly to prevent the two from further embarrassments.
She disappeared in a flash of light as the screen continued.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"
"Damn, does that kid have a set of lungs?!" Nightwatcher winced while rubbing his ears.
"Wait, does that blue mask look familiar?" Miyuki pointed out and Nightwatcher looked and his eyes widened. Is that...?
Leo's scream echoed throughout the lair, piercing through every ear of its inhabitants. Quick running footsteps quickly followed as everyone in the vicinity ran to the source.
"Leo?!"
"Nardo!"
"Brother?!"
"Hold up! That's Leo?!" Nightwatcher exclaimed in shock while looking at the one with them who was sitting between Nidas and Leonardo and the one on screen.
"Huh. Is it just me or is he a different species of turtle?" Miyuki tilts her head.
"That's because I'm a red eared slider, señorita. Names Leon." Leon said with a charming smile.
"I'm also Leonardo but I'm the future version of him and I go by Leonidas now." Nidas said.
"I'm an alternate version of these two." Leonardo said as Nightwatcher whistled.
"Damn, I'm gonna owe Donnie my sci-fi comics when I get back." Nightwatcher said as he looked back at the screen.
Different voices called out the same name as they barged into Leo's room. They see their brother, shell pressed against a mirror and staring wide-eyed at nothing.
"Leo, what's wrong?" Raph was quick to step in with his weapons in hand, looking around the small cabin for any threats.
Miyuki gaped in shock. Is that Nightwatcher?! Damn he's huge in that universe!
Nightwatcher was in shock as well. That's him?!
"Man, never imagined a version of Raph to be big as Slash." Michelangelo said.
"Shush!" O'Neil shushed him as the movie was getting interesting.
"You- it- can't you see them?!" Leo gestures wildly in front of him.
"See what?" Raph asks as he turns slightly to look at his little brother.
"Huh, to sum it up. Only Leon can see them for some reason but due to us being here, we can see them as well." Donald said in surprise.
Leo looked startled. Shocked even. His eyes are wide and his stance is defensive and slightly fearful. It made something protective swell inside of Raph.
"You can't see them?" The slider asks.
"See what?" Mikey asks as he steps closer to him. His eyes trailed around the room looking for something amiss but there was nothing.
Donnie frowned as he scanned the area. But his tech came up with nothing. "'Nardo, there's no one here but us."
"Not helping." Leon pouted.
"So you can't see-" Leo cuts himself off and groans, clenching his eyes shut and holding his head in his hands.
Donnie was quick to move by his side and look him over.
"Are you perhaps having hallucinations?"
"Not helping, Don." Raph said with a concerned look.
"Donnie!" Raph immediately scolded.
"It was a valid question, Raph!" Donald said in defense.
"What? It's a valid question!" The soft shell immediately defended himself.
"See? Even screen me says so!" He said.
"Well, there's no one here," Mikey said while lowering his kusari-fundo. He looks at his older brother who is nursing his head with a grimace.
He reached a hand out, gently touching Leo's arm.
"What happened?" Mikey asked.
Leo groaned and pinched his brow. "Nothing. I just saw double for a moment. Like, double me."
"Double Leo is gonna be a nightmare." Donald shuddered as Leon gave him a mock hurt look.
"A double you? Two Leos? Sounds like a nightmare." Donnie deadpanned, one hand tapping his tech-bo. He ignored Mikey's snickered "hehe double you."
Michelangelo and Miguel snickered as Nightwatcher just rolled his amber eyes in amusement while Miyuki giggled behind her hand.
"Ex-scuse you, I am charming and likable," Leo grinned with a familiar banter. "Having more of me is a blessing mi familia."
"At least I don't scream at seeing my reflection, Nardo." Donald comebacked.
"Gasp! Take that back, Dee!" Leon tried to slap his twin but Raph made sure to have a firm hold on the slider's shell and set him back as Nightwatcher snickered in amusement.
"Never knew a Leo to be so comedic." Miyuki said.
"I'm so using this as blackmail for Jungle Boy when we get back." Nightwatcher said.
"Scoff. At least I didn't scream after looking at myself in the mirror," Donnie snarked back. He pointed his staff at the mirror behind Leo. "Did you seriously freak out over your own reflection?"
"Whaaaa? Of course not!" Leo waved it off with an exaggerated flounder.
"Yes, you did!" Both April and Donald shouted.
"A lack of sleep can cause disorientation and confusion."
"Blame insomnia." Nidas chuckled.
"Dee, I'm fine. It was just a lapse in judgment. I was startled, that's all!"
"Uh-huh. Obviously, since your lack of sleep is causing you to see double."
"For the record, it's not just your Leo that has insomnia. Mr Lone Wolf here goes out every night in our dimension to bust up some bad guys." Miyuki said while pointing to Nightwatcher.
"Like the time I had to save your pretty head at the store incident?" He asked as Miyuki puffed her cheeks.
"That was one time, Nightwatcher."
"Are you sure you're okay? That's a loud scream for just seeing more of you," Raph asked in concern, sheathing his sais now that he knows there isn't danger.
"I would freak out too if I see two versions of me." Raph comforted Leon who smiled thankfully.
Leo grinned at him and rubs his head. "Yeah. It was just a bit shocking, that's all. I thought I was losing my mind."
"What's left of it." Donnie snarked.
"Har har, Don." Leon rolled his eyes.
Leo narrowed his eyes at him and poked his arm. "Heeey."
"Well, if you're sure." Raph said, looking over at his little brother one last time before nodding. He urges his other brothers to leave. "Just get some rest. If you need anything, just come to us okay?"
"Yeah! We can have a turtle pile!" Mikey enthusiastically suggested.
"Turtle pile!!!" The trio instantly tackled Raph on the ground and were on top of him or leaning against his sides.
Nidas watched in amusement with Nightwatcher.
Miyuki took a picture while trying not to coo at how adorable they were as Michelangelo tackled his brothers in a similar pile much to O'Neil and Jones amusement.
Leo chuckled softly. "I'll keep that in mind."
Mikey and Donnie were the first to leave, both proclaiming to have stuff to do. The box turtle went back to his art project while Donnie had to check the music box they just acquired.
Music box? Both Miyuki and Nightwatcher looked at each other in concern and confusion.
With one last reassuring smile, Raph steps out of the cabin and closes the door behind him.
Leo stood there for a moment, his smile slowly falling. Then he sighs and walks around his room.
He felt a presence behind him and ignored it. The aura of an old chipped sword and an aura of slow-flowing water. His brows furrowed and a frown tugs his mouth.
Hands reached out to grab his twin katanas in a tight grip. Faster than anyone expected, he spun around and pointed the blades at the two new turtles.
' Whoa! '
' Hey! '
"Yeesh." Nightwatcher winced in surprise.
"Who are you?" He demanded slowly with a fierce glare. His eyes flashed blue for a brief moment.
"Was I the only one who saw that?" Miyuki asked in surprise.
The others voiced their answers. They're not the only ones.
' Whoa there... ' The taller turtle said with his hands raised up, looking between the blade pointed to his neck and the slider wielding it. ' Calm down, we mean no harm. '
"As if seeing translucent versions of me is harmful. You two almost gave me a heart attack!" Leon exclaimed with a pout.
"We didn't mean to, kid. Remember, this is the future." Nidas said.
' Yeah! So just... put the katanas down... ' The shorter turtle said with a slight alarm.
"You're obviously not my hallucinations. You acted surprised when you realized I could hear you," Leo voiced out his observations. "I'm not schizophrenic, that's for sure. You two seem real enough to have a presence. But that begs the question."
"My thoughts exactly." Donatello said even though he already knows the answer.
He points his blades closer to them. "Who are you?"
' I'm you. ' The taller turtle said carefully. ' Future you. You know, the one from Casey's time. I sent him here to you to stop the Kraang. '
The word Kraang made Nightwatcher to narrow his eyes a bit. Weird, they sound like the Utrom.
(AN: This Raphael is probably from the TMNT 2003-2007 series? I never got to watch it.)
Leo narrowed his eyes at him then at the shorter turtle.
The turtle flinched. ' I'm Leonardo. But uh... a different one? I'm from another dimension. '
"So 'future me' and 'other dimension me'." Leo said with slight snark. "Gotta say, for a trick, you two might actually be convincing."
' We're telling the truth! ' Future Leo claimed.
"Really sorry, Nidas." Leon winced.
"It's no problem, kid. If I were in your shoes, I'd be suspicious and wary as well." Nidas said as he put his hand on his shoulder.
"If you're 'me', then you understand why that's hard to believe."
"Future Leo" grimaced. ' Yeah... that's fair. '
"Agreed." Nidas agreed with his screen self.
' But how can we prove that we're who we say we are? ' Alternate Leo asked, a bit worried.
"Let's make it simple then." Leo drawled. "How did you get here?"
The two new turtles looked at each other for a moment before turning back to Leo.
' We just... woke up here. ' Future Leo said.
"You just woke up next to me?" Leon asked in confusion.
Both Nidas and Leonardo looked at each other.
They know that they already went through that part. Suddenly waking up with another version of themselves was something.
' It's true! ' Alternate Leo quickly added. ' We just... appeared next to you. You were passed out on the ground. You looked really beaten up. '
Nightwatcher glance at the slider who shifter uncomfortably and was a little worried but concern deeply. Did something happen?
' By the Kraang. We overheard what they said. By the way, great job. You really did it. ' Future Leo smiled at him, looking relieved.
Miyuki looked at Nightwatcher who shrugged since he didn't know about any Kraang.
Alternate Leo continues. ' Well, then we were just... stuck here. We waited until you woke up. We tried to get your attention but you didn't react. We weren't sure you could even hear us. '
"Well, since the previous parts, it's shown that he can hear you two even though he doesn't know it until he screamed." Donatello said.
' We couldn't leave your side. Not very far at least. We don't know how we got here or how to get back. ' Future Leo said. ' So we just... stuck around. '
"Huh, wonder how the lair would feel if they were able to interact with objects." Donald wondered and got a pillow in the face by Miguel who was giving him his famous Dr. Delicate Touch glare.
"Shutting up!" Donald gulped and shifted closer to Raph for protection as Leon and Nidas snickered.
Leo carefully observed the two newcomers with a critical eye. They don't seem to be lying. But that doesn't make any sense.
"You're dead." Leo gestures to Future Leo with his katana.
That made Nightwatcher's breath hitched slightly. Did Leon say that his future self was dead? He started to hyperventilate silently and Miyuki put a gentle hand in his arm to calm him down.
"Hey, it's okay. Leo's still with us in our dimension, Raph." Miyuki whispered as he nodded slightly before looking back at the screen.
"Casey told me he saw you vaporize in front of him, just before he fell into the portal."
CJ sniffed a little and Nidas pulled his son/student close to comfort him.
Future Leo winced. He looks away, curling up slightly. ' I heard. I- I really wished he hadn't seen that. '
"I was so scared back then, Sensei... When... When..." CJ whimpered as Nidas sighed but pat his head.
"It's okay, Case. It's okay. I'm here." Nidas comforted him.
He shakes his head. ' But- yeah, I know. I- I felt myself die. '
He looks down at his hands, clenching and unclenching his fingers with distant eyes. ' But... I woke up next to you. You- after they pulled you from that portal. '
Leo frowned and turned to Alternate Leo. "And you?"
Alternate Leo grimaced. ' I... don't actually remember much. I was just sleeping after going on patrol and just... woke up here. I don't even know how long it's been in my world... ' He muttered the last line, trailing off slightly as he looked down in worry.
Leonardo looked down but Raphael made him look up as he handed him a bottle of ice tea apple flavor. Leonardo smiled softly and took a sip of the drink.
Leo didn't know what to think of these turtles. They claim to be him and so far, they haven't been lying. But then, how did they get here? They don't even look real. But they are real.
So what's going on?
Leo wracked his brain for a solution. He obviously can't go to his brothers about this. When they came in and couldn't see the two new turtles, it's clear that only Leo could see them and hear them. These two are as real as they can be, while being seen through and something only he could interact with.
"We might think your crazy if you say you have two versions of yourself following you around." April said as she took a bite of her popcorn.
Even if he asked his brothers for help, how could they? This is something only he could see and hear. They wouldn't know how to help.
Besides, these turtles seem to have no intention of hurting him. He doesn't get the same vibe he did with Big Mama. Whoever they are, they're not a threat.
"Big Mama?" Michelangelo asked and Leon had to stop Splinter from saying anything since he wanted to embarrass him just a little.
"Long story short, pops here used to date a woman named Big Mama back in his human years only for her to reveal herself to be a giant yokai spider when he propose to her." Raph said as Splinter flushed in embarrassment.
Nightwatcher and Miyuki looked at each other in confusion and amusement as Michelangelo started to gag at the thought.
Donatello with Raphael had a weirded out look while Leonardo looked even more greener than usual.
"It was one time!" Splinter shouted in embarrassment but Leon just had a devious smirk and Splinter knew what he was thinking.
"And you wanna know what he called Big Mama twice?" Leon started with a snicker.
"Blue, no!" Splinter tried to stop him but was held back by Raph.
"Oh do tell us, Nardo. What did dear old papa called her?" Donald questioned as he had a mischievous look in his eyes.
"This ought to be good." Nightwatcher said in amusement.
"Okay, okay, when we were at the Battle Nexus Hotel, I was like towards the bellhop guy 'Two to see Big Mama. We're totally on her schedule.' then he took his walkie talkie and he goes like 'Two chatted-up mutants here for ya, ma'am. A rat and one of them bleedin' turtles.' and he had the gall to tell us to shove us from Big Mama. Then pops here was like 'tell her that her snuggle muffin beefcake is here.' and he called her his sassy sugar badger next." Leon told them and the teams all burst out laughing while Splinter was beat red from embarrassment.
Nightwatcher laughed loudly as Miyuki was laughing from amusement.
"He called her that?!" Miguel wheezed but was laughing.
"Raph can't... Raph can't breathe...!" Raph laughed hysterically.
"Oh my stomach!" Donald laughed.
Sophia watched them all in amusement and let them calm down before resuming the movie.
That's why he lowered his weapons and set them aside. He doesn't understand or know why they're here, but they're not a threat. For now.
"So you woke up here, by my side, after the portal incident with the Kraang?" Leo asked, wanting to be clarified.
"At least now I believe ya." Leon said.
The two other Leos nodded.
Leo sighed and pinched his brow. But that doesn't help much. What had happened with the portal?
He crossed his arms in thought and paced around. The other Leos said nothing as they watched.
"Maybe something did happened to the portal when Miguel opened it?" April suggested.
"Possibly." Donald said.
Did Mikey's portal bring back something more than him? Mystic powers are sometimes out of the realm of logic. It is possible that Mikey had accidentally grabbed other Leos when he wanted to save his own.
But then why is he the only one who could see them? They're not even fully corporeal. It's like-
"Are you ghosts?" Leo asks while pointing a finger at them.
"Ghost? Seriously, Leo?" Miguel gave Leon a deadpanned look.
"Hey, not my fault for not believing in The Gumbus back then remember?" Leon said.
"Hmm fair point." Miguel said as he ate his cupcake.
' Uhh... ' They looked at each other.
' Maybe I am? '
' But I'm not dead. At least, as far as I am aware. ' Alternate Leo says while rubbing the back of his head.
Leo hummed and rubbed his chin in thought. But why else would they be here? If only one of them is confirmed dead, that means they're both not ghosts. How did they get attached to Leo anyway? What's going on?
He sighs. "Okay. We're getting nowhere with this. I'm tired and uh..."
He gave the two Leos a look. "Do you even sleep?"
' Not... really? ' Future Leo grinned awkwardly.
"Great. So I've had two turtles watch me sleep for the past few months." Leo deadpanned.
"That just... sound wrong." Jones wrinkled his nose.
Alternate Leo taps his fingers together as he looks away. ' If it's any consolation, we tried not to be around you when you do anything private. '
"Respect man." Leon said as he punched Leonardo on the shoulder lightly.
"Glad to hear it." Leo said. He yawned loudly. Exhaustion weighed down on his body and he's sure if he doesn't get sleep now, he'll regret it later. Sleep comes rarely enough as it is.
"Whatever. We'll deal with this tomorrow. I need sleep and to just..." He looks at the other Leos up and down."-process all of this. We'll talk it out more when I wake up. Capiche?"
' Sounds good. ' Future Leo nodded.
' Yeah. ' Alternate Leo agrees.
"Cool. Now... disappear or something," Leo waves his hand in a shooing motion.
"Dramatic much." Nightwatcher rolled his eyes with a fond smile.
They looked at each other but Leo turned away from them. He grabs his blue pajamas from his cupboard and puts them on silently. He knows when the two Leos disappeared when he couldn't feel their presence anymore.
"Hey, how come you guys get to wear PJs?" Michelangelo asked in confusion but only got a shrug in return.
At least they know how to disappear when they have to.
He sighs heavily as he sits down on his bed. He leans his head into his hand, arm propped up on his knee.
What. A. Day.
"Tell me about it." Leon muttered.
Leo groaned when he woke up. He doesn't need to check the time to know that it's early morning. It doesn't matter when he goes to sleep, he's always awake early in the morning. Insomnia does suck. Thankfully he would be refreshed when he wakes up on his own. But if he wakes up before he needs to? Well, he gets exhausted easier.
Hey, a turtle needs his beauty sleep.
He yawned, pushing himself up from his bed and onto his feet. He's going through the motions, changing out of his pajamas into his normal clothes.
So he's a little bit alarmed when he feels a presence behind him that doesn't feel like his brothers. He snatched the closest thing next to him- a ball- and threw it.
"On guard huh?" Nidas asked.
"After the whole invasion, I'm on edge. Especially the music box." Leon said which they can agree on.
Two turtles yelped and dodged. The ball bounced off the walls and all three of them scrambled to avoid it. The cabin rocked slightly with their movements and the already messy room became messier as it knocked off anything that isn't glued down.
He still ended up on the floor while dodging the ball.
This got a few snickers from his family and the alternate team with Nightwatcher and Miyuki.
Leo groaned, pushing himself up by his forearms. The ball rolled to a stop beside hands. "What the-"
He lifts his head and sees the two turtles staring at him. Everything came rushing back and his face fell into a pained grimace. "Right. That."
' Um... Good morning? ' Alternate Leo attempted to smile but it came out awkward.
"Awkward." April said with a snicker.
"Yes, morning." Leo sighed, pushing himself up to his feet and dusting himself off. He glances up at the two turtles before sighing heavily.
He turns away from them to grab his mask and put it on. "It's too early for this without coffee."
"A Leo with a taste for coffee? Is the world ending?" Nightwatcher joked.
"Hey, that's what I was gonna say." Raphael said with a surprise look.
The slider leaves his room and his two unexpected companions.
After a well deserved coffee break and a simple breakfast of eggs and toast, Leo went back to his room to have a talk with the two new turtles.
"Okay." he started, sitting on his bed with one leg crossed over the other. The two turtles are standing in front of him, watching him uncertainty. "So, this is weird."
"Ya think?" Everyon deadpanned.
"It was a rhetorical analysis!" Leon shouted in embarrassment.
' You're telling me. ' Future Leo mutters. ' I expected to be dead, you know? '
' Yeah... I thought I'm done with the dimension travel stuff. ' Alternate Leo said.
"Uh oh..." Raph, April, Leon and Miguel quickly held Donald who looked like he was about to explode.
"OHMIGOSH!!! I KNEW THE MULTIVERSE IS REAL!!! I KNEW IT!!!" He screamed loudly as the alternate turtles laugh nervously.
Nightwatcher and Miyuki looked at Donald with a surprise look.
"Wait, you've traveled into other dimensions before?" Leo asks.
"Once this is over or we get a break, you're telling me everything!" Donald exclaimed and got a granola bar thrown at him.
"Eat your chocolate, Don-tron." Leon said as they calmed down.
' Yeah. It's this whole thing where other versions of us needed our help with their Kraang, so they made a portal and just kidnapped us to ask for our help. '
"How did that go?"
' Well... it was an experience. ' Alternate Leo said awkwardly.
"Especially the fact that their Leonardo always yells 'Turtle Power!' every few minutes." Leonardo said with a sigh while feeling a headache forming from remembering their first dimensional travel.
' Don't look at me.' Future Leo raises his arms. 'This is new for me. '
Leo sighed. They're getting nowhere with this. "So, this isn't a situation where we called you. But you're still here, somehow."
' We came here when they pulled you out of that portal. ' Future Leo pointed out. ' Maybe that had something to do with it? '
"Mikey made that portal. If it's the same for you, I'd rather not ask him to do it again anytime soon." He's seen the burns left on his brother's arms. Mikey is still healing. He won't ask his baby brother to open a portal without a solid reason.
Nidas frown as he looked at Miguel to see him rubbing his arms slightly as Leon put a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry about your Mikey, Nidas." Leon said.
"It's fine, Leon." Nidas smiles softly.
Future Leo nodded. ' We get it. It's been a lot and... doing that again is risky. Mikey got really lucky that time. '
'You really wanna know what happened to your brothers in the future? They died. Everybody died fighting the Kraang.'
Casey's words circled around his mind at that. He doesn't need to think of how CJ was sent back to the past. He can already guess.
' Why? Why can't he open another portal? ' Alternate Leo asks.
"Because it hurt him. A lot. You've seen the bandages. That was from him using his mystic powers to save me."
Alternate Leo grimaced. ' Right. Sorry. It's fine. I have a feeling that... my own brothers are fine. '
Leo raised a brow at him. "A feeling?"
' It's hard to explain. ' Alternate Leo looks slightly frustrated. ' It's like... I'm here, right? But I'm not? '
"Do the words astral journey counts?" Donald asked.
"Yeah, that sounds about right." Leonardo said as he nodded his thanks.
He touches a hand to his plastron. ' It's like when I'm meditating and I'm in the zone. My spirit or consciousness is here, but my body is still back home. I'm not... completely here. '
It was silent for a moment as all of them processed what they just heard.
"Well, that's concerning." Leo broke the silence. "So how different is it between this universe and yours?"
' A lot. ' Alternate Leo smiles. ' For one, we don't have magic. Or uh, mystic powers? '
"Minus the time when we fight our inner demons in the spiritual battle." Leonardo said.
"Or when you learnt the healing hands." Raphael added while sending Leonardo a smirk.
"Or when Mikey got his electric powers." Donatello continued.
"And when we fought Kavaxas." Michelangelo finished.
Future Leo nodded.
' And everything is just... so much brighter here. More lively and colorful. Your Splinter is different too. Everything is different. Like, Raph is huge! He's shorter than me in my world. And he has a temper the size of Texas. Your Donnie is a bit more... sarcastic? A lot more confident, that's for sure. And you're all different species too. Me and my brothers are the same type of turtle. '
' I explained everything to him while we were here. ' Future Leo explains when Leo glanced at him. ' Things are different for him. You didn't hear it? '
"Huh... no, not really. I didn't hear everything you said apparently. If I did, I would have reacted sooner." Leo frowned.
"You sounded like you were muffled for a while. Like you were behind a door or under water. I couldn't tell you apart. I thought it was all in my head."
So why does it sound clearer now?
'There's gotta be a reason.' Donatello thought.
"Anyway, what should we do now?"
' Uh... ' The two Leos looked at each other.
"You two do that a lot?" Miyuki asked as the two shrugged, unsure.
They do that a lot, Leo noticed. It made sense. These two couldn't interact with anyone else but each other. They're stuck in a situation where they don't even know how they got here let alone even get out of.
' Well, we stick around, I guess? ' Future Leo rubs the back of his neck with his real arm. ' It's not like we can leave or anything. '
' We tried but we couldn't get very far. Maybe ten feet? ' Alternate Leo added.
Leo grimaced. So he has roommates now. Fantastic.
"It's not that bad, right?" Raph said which Leon just shrugged to that.
Still, it's not their fault they're here.
"Okay." he accepted it. Then pointed a finger at them with a serious look. "But you give me my space when I need it. I need some privacy!"
' We promise! ' Alternate Leo quickly said.
' So... are you going to tell them? ' Future Leo asked.
"About you two?" Leo shakes his head. "Not right now. They'll think I'm going crazy. Besides, I can't prove to them that you're real. If I tell them out of the blue, 'Hey, hermanos! Guess what? I have two other me's that I can see! Oh, but you can't see or hear them. Yeah, only I can and they're pretty chill in all honesty' ."
He had acted out the little conversation with a little exaggerated swagger.
"Again, we'll think you're crazy if did." Donald said.
His smile fell into a serious expression. "No, I can't tell them that. Raph would lose his mind with worry. Mikey would probably pull a Dr Delicate Touch on me- which I don't want to face! And Donnie might think I have schizophrenia and use me as a test subject. So no. We are not telling my brothers."
The Rise Family just shuddered at the thought of Dr. Delicate Touch as Miguel was giving them a mischievous look.
The Hamato Family looked at Miguel with a bit of nervousness from the sight of his look and wondered what he meant by Dr. Delicate Touch.
"I'll figure something out." He promised them. "I'll help send you back home."
Alternate Leo looks uncertain. ' Are you sure? We might need your Donnie's help at least. '
Leo rolled his eyes and waved his hand. "I might not look like much but I'm smarter than people assume, m'kay? I got this."
' If you're sure... ' Alternate Leo says.
"Besides, we have other issues."
' Which is...? ' Future Leo looks worried.
"Names for one thing!" Michelangelo said.
"Names, of course!" Leo said brightly with a smile.
The two Leos blinked at him. It made Leo feel amused. These two need to take a chill pill. He has a feeling that they haven't had fun in a while. Maybe he can remedy that.
"Well, I can't just refer to you two as Future Leo and Alternate Leo. You guys need names even though you're all me."
"True. Good thing we already did that." Nidas said.
"Agreed. Calling them Blue 2 and Blue 3 will be confusing." Splinter said.
' Well... ' The two of them still looked unsure.
Leo decides to take the lead. " I'll make it easier. You can call me Leon. "
"The best name for course. Neon Leon, that's who baby!" Leon said as Raph hit his head with a pillow and got a pillow to the face in return by Leon.
It's a nickname that fits his style more. He's the most energetic of them, from what he can tell. Future Leo is more battle hardened and worn down while Alternate Leo is more serious and calm.
It's weird to see himself but so different.
Future Leo looks between Leon and Alternate Leo before he smiles. ' If you don't mind, I can take Leo ?'
"I'm okay with that." The newly dubbed Leon said. He turns to Alternate Leo. "How about you'll be Leonardo? Full name suits you."
' Well... I can accept that. ' Newly named Leonardo said.
"Great!" Leon grins and stands up with a flourish. "Now, I'm gonna go about my day. You can come if you want."
"Not like they have a choice, Baby Blue." April laughed softly.
' Don't exactly have a choice there, kid. ' Leo chuckles.
Leon smirked at them.
He can work with this. Just until he can find a way to send them back where they should be.
An idea pops in his head and he grins widely at them. "Hey! Since you're here in the meantime, you can help me be a good leader!"
"From a teacher to a student." Leonardo and Nightwatcher said.
' ... What? ' They both said.
"Well, yeah?" Leon gestures towards them. "Like with the museum. You helped me plan and the mission went swimmingly!"
He turns to Leo. "Casey told me you are the best ninja he's ever met. You're old so you must have tons of experience! You can help me fight better!"
' Ah... maybe? ' Leo stammered slightly, looking overwhelmed by Leon's enthusiasm. He takes a step back. ' Though I'm still not a good leader. You'll have to ask Leonardo for that. '
"Huh?" Leon tilted his head to the side.
"Why do I suddenly feel like hiding under a rock?" Leonardo gulped nervously.
Leo smiles, his eyes twinkling mischievously. ' In his world, he's the leader. '
Leon gaped before tackling his counterpart.
"TEACH ME, YODA!!!"
L-Leon, get off me! I can't teach if I'm on the ground!" Leonardo shouted.
"TEACH ME THE WAY, UGANDA!!!"
As funny as this was, Raph pulled the two apart while snickering as Leon pouted but gave his counterpart a look saying 'teach me how to be a leader, please'. Leonardo sent him a smile and a nod which got him a bright smile.
Leon gasped loudly and turned his sparkly eyes to Leonardo who startled at the sudden attention.
"You're the leader?! So you can help me! Teach me how to be a better leader for my brothers!"
' Well, uh- ' Leonardo held his hands up as he backed away. He briefly glares at Leo who grins back. ' Sure? I mean, there's nothing wrong with helping. It's not like we have anything else to do. '
"Great job dumping the teacher role on me, Nidas." Leonardo gave him a look, promising revenge.
"Yes!" Leon fist pumped and bounced around excitedly. "I'm getting help from two versions of me! Haha!"
He smirks and places his fingers on his chin in a smug pose. "Raph is gonna be so impressed!"
He laughs and smiles brightly at his alternate selves. "This is going to be the best thing ever!"
This made everyone couldn't help but smile fondly. Seeing Leon smiling brightly and really enthusiastic to learn to be a better leader is something to smile at.
The other turtles only smiled fondly at his childish enthusiasm. Evidently, they had been through a lot. Worn down and hardened through years of struggle and pain. To see another version of them laughing and so full of childish excitement... Well, they couldn't help but feel fond.
They'll help Leon. There's nothing wrong with helping him be a better leader. They have the experience, they don't have anything else to do and helping Leon be a better leader would ultimately help his brothers. They wouldn't have any more near death scenarios or get into trouble caused by naivety or mistakes that could have been avoided.
It's a win-win scenario for everyone.
Sophia paused the movie when she appeared.
"Okay, I got the remote fix and I can send both Miyuki and Nightwatcher back to their dimension. And don't worry, it will only be like one second when you disappeared so your friends and brothers didn't notice anything." Sophia said.
"Thanks, Sophia." Both Miyuki and Nightwatcher stood up and stood in front of her.
"Hope we meet formally next time." Miyuki said.
"Don't worry. Who knows. Maybe one day." Sophia smiled before she pressed the button and the two disappeared back home.
"I'm gonna miss those two even if they were here for a moment." Leon said.
"So, shall we continue?" Sophia asked as everyone nodded.
