Our crew of friends had no time to be sluggish. Three pieces of the Gateway had been taken, and the one entrusted to Opía was in danger as well! And so, it was off to the Cayman Islands to begin the final hours of the grueling contest!
Elaine: Opía? Oh... Easy, Milady. Just thought you might like some help.(The girl says nothing as she points to a fleet of ships that have invaded her territory)Look, I'll level with you, lass. I'm also looking for a key. I figure I help you, you let me keep the key if it turns up... Right. You're offended. But still, do you really think this hitman is going to just kill you? I see we're going to have to play a little hunting game...again. Anybody up for it?
Luca: I am.
Thomas: So am I.
(The boys quickly reopen their Taíno friend's heart little by little, helping her realize that she still has her friends)
Luca: Well, she's starting to feel mentally better.
Nathaniel: Yeah. Well, while you guys were playing, I managed to dig up some dirt on our hitman. Turns out, his last name is exactly the same as that girl to whom we stripped of another special key...
Gilbert: Lucia Márquez?
Nathaniel: That's the one! Now, it seems like her brother is looking to settle things with our Taíno trooper. And guess who's helping fan those vengeful flames...?
Kevin: Garrick!
Nathaniel: Exactly.(He soon notices they aren't alone in the Grand Cayman)
Antonio: That last attack should've ended it, Marcos!
Marcos: Si, Antonio. But she quickly eluded us, so...
Antonio: So, you just quit?! Idiot.
Marcos: We'll double our efforts, then.(To one of his own men)See to it that this ledger is well secured, or else!
Nathaniel: Or else what?(The gang battled against Marcos and his grunts, managing to attain the ledger in the process)Now, let's find out where Antonio is going next, shall we?
Marcos: Marcos Vergara never tells!(He managed to board a ship, forcing the gang to engage him in naval combat)
Elaine: Out with it, lad. Where's Márquez! Why's he here?
Marcos(laughing): The boss is looking to finish off your friend personally! You think you can stop him?
Ava: We've got friends that'll answer that for us!(Sure enough, Luca has taken down Antonio's men just as they've arrived)
Luca: Come out, come out, wherever you are Antonio. I've taken on your finest, man. Why don't you see if you can face me before you settle some personal matters, huh?(Angered, Antonio does come out of hiding to face Luca, who swiftly takes him down)
Antonio: No... My family... my brothers, my sisters, THEY'VE BEEN TAKEN FROM ME! By a snake! In the garden!
Luca: And you're all the more miserable for it, man!
Antonio: I thought I knew God's plan... but I was wrong. I was blind... but now I see. And I will be remembered, once Garrick's plan is complete!
Luca: He's not going to get very far, man. The Assassins and Sentinels will see to that!(His fellows all cheer, marking this as his second major kill. All except for poor Opía, who is in a frantic rage trying to find where her special item is)
Opía: Elaine... Key!
Elaine: Oh, you're starting to speak? That's...(She soon realizes what her friend is looking for, and the others follow suit)
Gilbert: Aw, no!
Harrison: Beaten again!(Back at Great Inagua, where it seems the last three pieces of the Gateway are being kept)Let's look at our options. On our side, we have the manpower, the numbers, and enough weapons to go around.
Catherine: Meanwhile, the enemy has been stealing Gate Keys left and right.(As night falls)Well, whoever has been stealing the keys should know this by now, they've just gotten our attention!(Tatiana has arrived, followed by Kira, Zelda, Aria, Rachel, Tori, Clara, and Josie. Entering through the back way, the girls have the final keys in sight...that is, until Natasha shows up to complicate things)
Natasha: I didn't want to believe you.(Tatiana looks to see what she had truly expected from the start)I have but one final request for you, TT. Leave. Now!
Tatiana: We're not going anywhere.
Natasha: Then you have sentenced us all to death!
Tatiana: Then so be it.
Natasha(incredulous): You can't do that.
Tatiana: I asked you if you were one of us before, Natasha. I hope you've found the answer!(As she gets even closer to the chest containing the keys, Natasha realizes that this time, her friend has gone too far)
Natasha: I know who I am, TT. I'm not like your so-called 'friends'! They only want to control humanity! We're different...
Tatiana: I hoped I could talk to you as a friend, Natasha. But if you're going to talk to me like that...(Angrily)Then you are my enemy!(Naturally, Natasha tries to defend herself against her former friend's furious assault. Fueled by desperation, the girls find themselves locked in combat as a storm rages across Great Inagua. Their bitter struggle comes to a head atop the edge of a cliff)
Natasha: Enough of your madness! If you must die, so be it!(With a final clash of the swords, Natasha ultimately loses her footing and falls, flailing. She screams as the impending doom draws closer until she finally hits the ground. Tatiana smiles as her mission is nearly complete, seeing as she's taken the final three keys. But then, she is shot at by Luca, who is flanked by Elaine, Kevin, and the others. She runs back to the Holy Grail, where Viola notices what had happened)
Viola: Girl, what have you done?!(They soon notice the Jackdaw, the Experto Crede, the Savior, and the Scholar all hot on their trail)
Tatiana: Sorry V, but I'm taking over the command chain!(She weaves the ship to try and lose their pursuers, only to see that Garrick has sent some Spaniards over to them)Can you feel it, V? We're moments away from the grandest prize of all.
Keke: I feel nothing but a hot wind in my ears, babe.
Tatiana: Lighten up, will ya? I'll just be gone for a few moments...(Soon enough, we see Valentine with the Sahara Pendant, the Sahara Gauntlet and Sahara Eyepatch in Jared and Kanan's possession, the Sahara Circlet upon Holden's head, Raymond wearing the Sahara Mask, Harvey holding the Sahara Emerald Tablet, Alister wearing the Sahara Ring, Marianne with the Sahara Choker and Tatiana holding the now completed Gateway, joined by Ms. Beaumont and Garrick)
Garrick: Isis Island. To think, I followed my predecessor's instructions to this point. And now, here I am. Shall we continue?(They all entered the main chamber, after Tatiana had placed the completed Gateway where it was needed to be placed)
Tatiana: Look at this place!
Beaumont: Beautiful, isn't it?
Tatiana: Aye. Like something out of a fairy tale, or one of them old poems.(Marianne and the others place their charms on their pedestals)Wow! We'll be masters of the world with this!(The other seven and Janine soon close the doors on her)Wait, what's going on?
Beaumont(laughing evilly): I honestly don't know what your subjects saw in you. Can't you see, dearie? This is a trap!
Marianne: And one you've been very helpful with.(She backhanded Tatiana, causing her to fall into the chasm beyond the device)In a different world, maybe we could have been friends, but I have to do what's right for our goals! You played your role, but our partnership is done!(Tatiana angrily catches up with them, but is too wounded to fight)Aw, looks like somebody's spilled her Holy Grail, hasn't she? That's the beauty of a democracy...the many outvote the one. Aye, you could sail with me, but...with a temper as hot as yours, I fear you'd burn us all to cinders. Luckily, I know the king's bounty on your head is a large one. And I...intend to collect. Have you...have you ever seen the inside of a Jamaican prison, TT? Have you?(We soon see Tatiana in a gibbet, looking just as miserable as ever)
Tatiana(VO): I have been a fool! Blinded by the lure of adventure, I have endangered the land and betrayed nearly everyone I've ever known. The blame is mine alone. What have I done?(She decides to return home, knowing that her longtime friend has betrayed her and the rest of them will probably die just like Natasha. But once she returns to Skirrow Island, she finds her thief kingdom burning)
Razorback: They had it coming, you know. Yeah, Sharpie and the rest of the bunch weren't as useful to our cause as you were. So, once that usefulness ended, we burned the place down!
Tatiana: We? You're saying that...?
Razorback: Yeah. Thing is, though...all this isn't my fault to begin with! I told you before; we were living in a world on the brink. Where every choice, every slight, every injustice, reveals our sins. And where have those sins led us? Where have those sins led you? Your friends have been taken and tortured, and it is your fault. Countless people have been killed, and it is your fault. The world is on fire, and it's your fault. Was it worth it? When are you gonna realize that not every problem can be solved with a bullet. No, I bet you will never realize that. So, as unfortunate as this sounds... Our Neo-Templar Order has no need for your services any longer!
Tatiana: I cannot allow you to go any further with this madness!
Razorback: Apparently, you don't have a say in this matter anymore!
(The former colleagues fight, as we approach the scene we witnessed when we entered; Garrick's army has found Elaine and the Assassins, as she, Ava, Nathaniel, Luca, and Thomas are seen with Kevin, the rest of the Sentinels, and Ah Tabai in trying to beat them back. Upton, Rhona, Antó, and Opía are also present in the defense. Soon enough, the invaders are forced to retreat)
Elaine: Damage report...
Catherine: Not so bad. Though...
Luca: Yeah. I hardly got to know her too.(To Thomas)Then again, sir; I must make my way towards Skirrow Island. There's a certain someone who I think is right now in the same kind of trouble we all may be in.
Thomas: And I feel like you may change her opinion of us with time.
Luca: Gladly, sir!(As Luca pilots a fishing boat, we see that Tatiana has triumphed as Razorback has retreated. Now, Tatiana is just wandering around the woods of her former home. She soon hears Luca, singing a tune many can remember from the time he met Ava and Nathaniel)If you don't go to sleep, the crab will eat you.(He rotates between humming it and singing it, much to the annoyance of Tatiana)
Tatiana: Go away.
(We see Luca on a tree near her)
Luca: Going away will not answer the question.
Tatiana(groans): Typical. I didn't think this day could get worse, and what happens? I get a vigilante on my doorstep!(To Luca)If you think you can step into my home and tell me what to do, you're wrong! This is my kingdom! My destiny!
Luca: A destiny that is no longer yours alone, TT.(He continues his rotation)
Tatiana: Come on. Will you cut it out?
(Luca drops from the tree. Tatiana turns to leave.)
Luca: Can't cut it out. It'll grow right back!(Laughs)
Tatiana: Ugh! Will you stop following me? Who are you?
Luca: The question is, who are you?
Tatiana: I'm nobody. So, leave me alone. All right?
Luca: Everybody is somebody, even a nobody.
Tatiana(sarcastically): Yeah. I think you're confused.
Luca: Wrong! I'm not the one who's confused. You don't even know who you are.
Tatiana: Oh, and I suppose you know. Listen, this has been a good chat and all, but...(The pair soon notices the Holy Grail right above them)
Viola: Well, well, well. If it isn't old Sourpuss. Now, come on. There's something I think you should see...(The gang heads back to Great Inagua, which has suffered another attack at the hands of Garrick's army)
Tatiana: My God, what on Earth happened here?
Viola: You happened here, TT. The damage you caused these past few days has not been undone.
Tatiana: I'm not an easy girl to call a friend, am I? Is that why you're here?
Viola: You've been through a lot in the past before, but there has never been a time when you could have chosen to make amends for all you have done.
Tatiana: Better late than never, I guess.(She, and Viola's crew helps to take on another assault, this one led by Razorback)
Razorback: So, we've finally learnt something, have we? Well, it doesn't do you or your new friends any good! Garrick wants this Creed in cinders, and I ain't plannin' on letting him down!(Tatiana faces him in a rematch, and wins)You certainly took me down that time, girl.
Tatiana: You've brought shame to our kind, Razorback!
Razorback: Maybe so, love. But you've up and lost it all, haven't ya? Your friends are gone, your little 'thief kingdom' is history, and you've got no one to blame but yourself for these and much more!
(After the third assault has been cleared, Tatiana ponders on all she's heard)
Luca: You okay?
Tatiana: I've messed up big time. I stole some precious artifacts, I-I threatened innocent lives, I helped these punks take over a whole island! You think anyone's gonna give a second chance? I don't think so.(Luca whacks Tatiana with a branch)Ow! Jeez! What was that for?
Luca: It doesn't matter! It's in the past.(Laughs)
Tatiana: Yeah, but it still hurts.
Luca: Oh, yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.(Tatiana looks at the setting sun just as everyone else joins the two)
Tatiana: Garrick has to pay for his actions, I know that now! It ain't going to be an easy task, but even I have to do it. Nightfall may be coming, but the sun will rise again. And when it does...
Kevin: We'll bring that monster down!(Warships from Havana, Augustin and the Maroons, pirates from Nassau and the Cayman Islands, and some of Rhona's crew signal that the Assassins have all they need to put an end to Garrick's madness for good)
