Leon wanders to the living area of the lair. He feels the two Leos trail behind him. It's so odd to have two turtles that nobody else could see or hear following him around. Is this what people feel when they hallucinate? He sympathizes with them.
"Have you explored the lair properly?" He asks curiously.
"I'm curious about how different ours and theirs are." Jones said curiously.
'Sometimes, when you walk around.' Leonardo replied.
'I miss this place...' Leo sighs softly. His eyes trailed over everything, taking in the large space and graffitied walls.
Nidas had a solemn and fond look. He remembered how the second lair looked like before the whole invasion. Gods he missed the place especially the arcade.
The place is spacious and circular in shape, with a walkway lining the wall leaving a wide space in the middle and a platform at the bottom. Clean bluish water flowed around the drains, creating a constant ambient noise that echoed throughout the lair. It reaches high with three stories, with large holes leading to different rooms and areas. Two large skate ramps connect the first and bottom floors. On the upper levels, there are multiple basketball hoops attached to the platform and other draping decors. Colorful fairy lights illuminated the area in a soft and welcoming glow. There are a few scattered items that the brothers hadn't bothered to pick up, left unnoticed by object permanence.
"Dude, your lair is much more awesome that ours." Michelangelo said in awe.
"If you want, we can decorate yours if we find a way to your dimension." Miguel suggest.
"Really?!" Michelangelo gaped in shock.
"Yes, I am! As artist of the group, I'll make sure your home is more honey than ever." Miguel said with his brothers agreeing.
The place is spacious, bright, and lived in. It carried an air that felt like home.
'It's so different from my own place.' Leonardo confessed.
That got Leon curious. "Different how?"
"How different indeed." Donald agreed.
'Well, it's less spacious. A bit darker too, we didn't have lights like you do. We found an abandoned subway station and just made it into our home. We didn't have any skate ramps but we did have a full dojo.'
"You guys a full dojo?" Raph asked, looking intrigued.
"Yup. It even has a tree." Raphael said.
"Huh." That sounded really interesting. "You train a lot?"
Leonardo smiles slightly. 'Yeah, one in the morning and evening.'
"Yeesh." Leon winced.
"It's not that bad. It kept us in shape." Leonardo said.
"Even if you and Raph sometimes beat us." Michelangelo said as Donatello nodded in agreement.
Leon grimaces. He held his arms behind his head as he walked. "That sounds awful."
'It's not so bad. We had to keep up our training to make sure we don't get hurt while on missions.'
"I'm getting the feeling that you're like Raph."
"Are you comparing me and Leonardo, Leo?" Raph asked him playfully.
"Only when it came to training." Leon said.
"Who's like Raph?"
The two Leos jump in alarm while Leon turns to his older brother. Raph tilts his head curiously, just stepping out of the training room.
"Geez way to give someone a heart attack." April snickered at the reaction of the two older turtles.
Leon smiles at him, casually ignoring the two translucent turtles behind him. "Nothing, brother. Early training sessions?"
Raph smiles brightly, his snaggletooth peeking from his upper lip. "Yeah! We gotta be ready for anything! Can't let the bad guys have the upper hand!"
Leon sighed softly. If only he could join him before the whole invasion.
The snapper turns to Leon with an enthusiastic smile. "Do you want to join me?"
Leon looked at Raph silently asking if he can join next time and got a pat on the head as a yes.
"Yeah, uh..." Leon tilts his head to look at the training room. He could see multiple weights from his point of view. Raph is pretty much the only one who uses them daily. Leon would rather watch Jupiter Jim or read some comics. Or skate. Or do literally anything else.
"Leo, training is essential for missions in case we have to fight." Raph said as Leon sighed.
"I know..." Leon pouted.
'He has the right mindset,' Leonardo peeks out from behind Leon's shoulder. Leo follows behind him, poking his head from Leon's other shoulder.
'I agree. You should train with him, Leon. He is right, more training won't hurt. Especially when fighting with bad guys with the risk of losing a life.'
Leon grimaces. "Maybe next time, bro."
This sent both Leo in the cinema to groan softly.
He hears the two other Leos groan next to his ears.
'Come on, Leon, you said you want to be a better leader. You need to work by example. How will your brothers get better if you don't start?' Leonardo scolded.
'Leonardo's right. Plus, more training would help you fight better. You'll be better equipped to fight bad guys in the future. What if you meet a threat you're not ready to fight?' Leo added with worry bleeding into his tone.
"They do have a point, you know." Donald said.
"Yeah and I'm getting vibes that whatever it is in the music box will be the next threat." April said.
For some reason, what she said made the triple blue mask to frown silently. Will it?
Leon frowns and waves his hands, shooing the translucent turtles away from his ears. "As fun as that sounds, I was thinking we could just hang out today?"
"Oh," Raph said. "Hang out where?"
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Leon turned to his brothers who had the same idea.
"MOVIE TIME!!!" They exclaimed as the other team looked curious.
CJ looked curious as he looked at them.
"Movie marathon?" He asked.
"It's kinda like those mission videos we go through but this time only for entertainment and to hang out with family and friends." Nidas explained.
"Yeah. I mean, there are some movies that are getting really negative criticism from people who don't like it. Like that upcoming Disney movie, The Little Mermaid." Leon said.
"Yeah, I mean, the movie is like gonna be next year and it already got some negative comments especially the actress playing as Ariel." Miguel added.
"Cause they want Ariel to remain white instead of black." Donald said as Leon tutted.
"Shame on those who don't like the changes." Leon said.
"Well, we could continue our movie marathon with Casey," Leon suggested. They had just finished watching the entirety of Steven Universe and Casey had enjoyed it.
That's when he noticed the lack of humans in the lair and looked around. "By the way, where is the kid?"
"He went with April to look around New York. She said they'll be back in the late afternoon or something."
"Hope there would be pizza." Michelangelo said and a box of pizza appeared on his lap.
"How can stuff appeared out of thin air without a logical explanation?" Donatello said in confusion.
"No idea but I like it. Thanks, Sophia!" Michelangelo said as he started to munch on the pizza.
"Great! Plenty of time to get stuff ready," Leon crosses his arms behind his head with a grin. "I'm gonna go visit the Hidden City for some me time. When I get back, I'll grab some pizza from Hueso's , you gather everyone and we'll have everything set up by the time April and Casey come by. We still have to show Casey the Rapunzel movie."
"Ooh! That's the movie that came out in 2011!" Miguel said.
"Why am I getting a feeling that this movie will shift from a non musical to a musical movie?" Jones said.
"That's because it will be. Give the credits to the owner of the amazing movie/story. SkylerSkyHigh!" Sophia said before disappearing.
"Ooh! I wonder what songs that will be in this?" Michelangelo questioned as he was intrigued.
"Gotta admit that a musical one would be something." Donatello said.
"Especially if a song gets stuck in your head." Leonardo said with a smile.
"Ditto." Leon and Nidas agreed.
"Well...sure," Raph agreed. His brother must be feeling jittery after staying at the lair healing. Now that things are back to normal, it only makes sense he would want to explore outside again.
He levels Leon a stern frown. "Just don't be late or I'll send Donnie after you."
"You wouldn't dare." Leon gave Raph a look who returned it.
"I so would, little brother." Raph said.
"NO!!! DON'T SIC BOOTYYYSHAKER9000 ON ME!!!" Leon dramatically wailed while hiding behind Leonardo which caused Donald to give him a rather comical murderous look for revealing his password/username.
Donatello did a spit take at that while Leonardo snorted and Raphael and Michelangelo burst out laughing with Jones.
"B-B-Bootyyyshaker9000?!" O'Niel laughed much to Donald's embarrassment.
"It's his username and password." Miguel said with a snicker as CJ laughed.
"Aka he likes to dance." April giggled.
"Please. Just stop." Donald whined in embarrassment while covering his eyes.
"Chill, chill, I won't be late," Leon assures. He grabs his katanas from his back and slices a portal open. "Peace!"
He jumps into the portal with a flourish, dragging the two alternates with him.
"Just be careful, Leo." Raph said.
"We can't help but worry for him huh?" Raphael said as he ate some sweet and spicy flavored popcorn.
'What's the real reason?'
"Hm?" Leon hummed as he stared at the menu with a thoughtful frown.
"Yeah what's the reason?" O'Neil agreed.
They're sitting at a table near the corner of the restaurant, just out of sight amongst the group of yokai enjoying their meals. A singular turtle eating alone isn't something to bat an eye at. They don't even see an older version of him sitting at the same table.
The Hamato Team gaped in shock and awe at the sight of the yokai.
"Oh my chalupa... Where is this? I've never seen so many mutants in one place!" Donatello exclaimed in awe.
"That, my purple compatriot, is the Hidden City under New York." Donald said.
"Practically the place where these knuckleheads started their adventure." April said.
Leo sat in a chair across from him, crossed arms and a frown on his face as he stared at his younger self. 'I know me. You wouldn't have suggested this out of the blue.'
Leon lifts his eyes up to look at Leo with a half lidded, lazy gaze. "What makes you think so?"
'Well, instead of going straight to Hueso's , you took a stroll across the city instead,' Leo pointed out. 'You didn't even do anything, just walked around. You visited the clothes store, the game store, a music store and just- you didn't even make a big deal about looking around or having fun. So what's the point?'
"There's a music store and game store?!" Michelangelo exclaimed in delight.
All day, the two alternates had followed Leon throughout the Hidden City. He had been casual about it, wandering around browsing the stores and not doing anything else. Window shopping, if Leo would put a name on it.
Leon raises a brow at his older self. Looking at him up and down, he could see the tired lines of his face and the aged look in his eyes.
With his large mechanical arm and ratty blue scarf around his neck, he looks every bit like a work down warrior.
"What happened to your arm?" Miguel asked in concern.
"It was during an mission that went wrong." Nidas said as he rubbed his mechanical arm unconsciously.
"It was supposed to be Master Raphael's but..." CJ didn't continue as they guessed what happened.
Someone who had to face so many challenges and struggles in his lifetime that it snuffed out every bit of light from him, leaving behind a barely flickering flame that can't be called anything else but desperate hope.
"Maybe the answer is simpler than you think," Leon said.
'Oh yeah? Then what is it?' Leo asks.
In reply, Leon nodded to the side. Leo looks over to where he gestured.
"Let me guess. Leonardo?" Raph said knowingly as Leon nodded with Nidas.
"Yup."
Their alternate self is looking at the store with wide eyes, a face of complete awe. Since he couldn't be seen or heard, he openly gaped and muttered about everything.
He looks like a kid in a candy store.
"More like a kid in space. Remember the first time we went to space?" O'Neil said as the Hamato Team nodded.
"Yeah, it was awesome!" Michelangelo exclaimed.
"You've been to space before?" Donald asked curiously.
"Yup. We've been to space before also time traveling to the past at several times to stop the world from being destroyed or getting overrun by monsters, travelled to another dimension where we met a samurai ronin rabbit called Miyamoto Usagi to help him escort a pug named Kentaro to a temple." Donatello said.
Leo watches him silently. Leon mutters quietly while browsing the menu.
"You've been stuck with me for... what? Months? You go where I go, and I was cabin crazy for a while," Leon lifts his eyes up to stare at his alternate self. "You just seem like you need a break from the lair. Especially him."
"Got that right. I would go cabin crazy too if I'm cooped up all day in the lair." Raphael said.
"You and me both." Jones said.
Leo frowns at him, brows furrowed in confusion and wonder. He looks back at Leonardo as the turtle wanders over to a wall filled with pictures and articles.
"He's not from here," he hears Leon say. "What kind of host would I be if I didn't take him around the city?"
All of that... just to let him and Leonardo look around the city?
"That's nice of you to do, Leo." Raph said with a proud tone as Leon smiled.
"I didn't want them to be stuck at the lair all day so why not a tour?" He said as he hugged his unicorn plush that Sophia gave him.
When Leo thought about it, Leon did stop whenever Leonardo showed even a hint of interest in a particular store. He spent a while there, clearly uninterested but pretending to browse as he allowed his alternates to take in the sights.
Does he know? Does Leon even know what it means for both of them?
"Are you doubting me?" Leon asked meekly as Nidas didn't answer which made the younger slider frown a little but didn't pry.
Leo frowns deeper and turns back to Leon, who doesn't lift his head from the menu.
'Do you feel guilty?' He asked.
"For?"
'For us being here,' Leo replied. 'Is that why you took us here? To make up for us being stuck with you?'
Leon shrugs. "You didn't get a say. Felt like being nice."
"Leo." Miguel said in his Dr. Feelings tone as Leon sighed.
"Okay, okay, I just wanna do something nice for them since they've been stuck in the lair and the fact that they're kinda stuck with me." Leon said with a frown.
"Hey, it's really nice of you to do that even though it's the future." Leonardo said with a smile.
"Yeah, it means a lot. So don't doubt yourself." Nidas agreed.
It was silent for a moment between the two of them.
'You're taking this surprisingly well,' Leo commented.
"Yeah well, I did scream in your faces," Leon glanced up and gave him a small grin.
Leo chuckles. 'That's true.'
"That's right." Splinter chuckled.
A small yokai child ran past their table while being chased by their older sibling. Their childish laughter filled the air around them.
Leo watches them with a look of melancholy. 'I miss this...'
Leon looked at him curiously to see the solemn and forlorn look on his face.
Leon hums questioningly. "Hm?"
'People,' Leo clarified. 'After the Kraang invaded, the Hidden City locked itself away. All the Yokai hid underground but... well, no one is safe. It only took them a few years to find out about the Hidden City and... well...'
The statement is left hanging.
"You mean..." April said in shock as Nidas nodded sadly.
"It was really bad... We tried to save as many as possible but there was too many. Draxum... He sacrificed himself to buy us time to get at least quarter of the non Kraang infected ones out to safety..." Nidas said as Leon's eyes widened before looking back slowly at the screen.
His mind was whirling in shock and disbelief. Draxum sacrificed himself to for everyone? Maybe he and Draxum do need to talk since Miguel has been trying to get them to get along before the invasion.
Leon blinked, frowning deeply as he glanced at his hand. His eyes trailed over his arm where there are areas where the skin is lighter. Healed scars that are barely visible anymore, unless one knew where to look. Evidence of the ordeal he went through with the Kraang. He curls his fingers into a fist.
"Well, that didn't happen. We changed the future, so there's no need to worry about it anymore." Leon said firmly.
"And I'm glad we did change the future." Leon said with a smile to which Nidas hum to in agreement.
Leo hums softly, looking at the packed restaurant with a soft smile. 'You're right.'
There is another lapse of silence.
'I feel lucky, you know?' Leo said aloud. 'I honestly didn't think I'd be able to see this again. After the Kraang invaded and the world ended... you know, years of fighting just slowly leave you... you just stop imagining that things would ever go back to normal.'
CJ smiled at Leonidas and Leon as his dream of seeing what New York looks like finally came true.
Leon carefully observes his future self. The lines of his face are deeper, making him look older. How old is his future self? How long had he been fighting the Kraang, surviving in a world ruined by invaders, and slowly losing hope?
"Too long, Leon... Too long..." Nidas answered with a tired sigh.
'At some point, the only thing you can hope for is that the monsters would stop invading. Put an end to the misery. That even if the world would never be the same again, at least the ones destroying it would be gone. So this?' He waves a hand in front of him, gesturing to the people sitting around tables, eating food and having conversation ranging from quiet to boisterous.
'It's just nice to see again.'
Leon hums, his fingers gently thumbing the corner of the menu. "Well, now you can see it every day. The world is saved. And now, you can help us protect it."
"That we can all agree on." Raph said as he smiled at both Nidas and Leon who returned it.
Leo chuckles, sounding slightly incredulous and relieved. 'You sure are bold.'
Leon grins. "I thought you said you knew me."
That just made everyone laugh softly as Leon gave Nidas a fake scandalous look but there was a playful glint in his eyes that just made him laugh softly.
That got him actual laughter from his older self.
'I do know me. I also know that we can surprise people,' Leo smiles at him with a knowing look in his eyes.
Leon grins back. "We aim to exceed expectations."
'That we do, kid... that we do.'
The two Leos shared a chuckle, not noticing Leonardo giving them a look. Facing away from the table, he pretended he didn't notice them. He can't help but be touched at his alternate self's act of kindness.
"I never said even though this is the future but thanks, Leon." Leonardo said as Leon just smiled.
"Your welcome, hermano." He said with a smile.
Does Leon even understand what it meant to him? To explore a world so different from his own, where being out in the open is a rule that shouldn't be broken lest they'll be captured and killed? Yet here he is, in a world where people like him, mutants and yokai, were just allowed to be... normal.
He can't help the smile that grows on his face and the way his heart swelled in his chest.
Sometimes it's easy for others to forget that he is a ninja as well. Overhearing conversations without being noticed is the cornerstone of being a ninja.
Leon did come back just in time with pizza. He sees his family already gathered in front of the TV, with Pops in his chair as usual.
"Ooh! This is gonna be good!" Miguel squealed as food appeared in front of them.
"Hey, you're watching your future selves watching a Disney movie which is a musical one. So best to laid out some snacks to enjoy.
"Don't mind if I do." Michelangelo said as he grabbed some jellybeans and ice cream with pizza.
"What are you doing to that poor pizza?!" Miguel gasped with a scandalous look.
"Um, jellybean and ice cream on pizza?" Mikey said as he took a bite.
"Dude, no. That's just so..." Donald tried not to hurl as the pizza in Michelangelo's hand disappeared and was replaced by a different one.
"Not on my watch, Michelangelo. Especially with Miguel being the chef of these team." Leon said as Michelangelo pouted but didn't complain and ate his pizza that was pineapples on it.
"Pizza delivery~" He sings, sheathing his blades and dropping the boxes in front of his brothers.
"Yeah!"
"Awesome!"
"Thanks Leo!"
"Mm, yum! What do you call this?" Michelangelo said as he took another bite of the pizza.
"I present to you, the Hawaiian pizza." Leon said with a smile as he ate his.
"I still think pineapple doesn't go with pizza." Donald said.
"Hey, at least it wasn't broccoli like the one from Inside Out." Leon said.
"Fair enough." Donald said as he took a slice of the Hawaiian pizza and ate it and had to admit that it was delicious but he's not saying it.
"Yes, yes, your songs of gratefulness are much appreciated," Leon bows dramatically. His brothers' noises of brotherly complaints washed over him like musical chimes. He looks over at Casey.
The young man had cleaned up well. His hair is no longer a mess of tangles and is nearly combed back. He had been given a more comfortable outfit to wear, courtesy of April taking him clothes shopping a few months prior. Now he's in a warm light blue hoodie with gray sweatpants. No longer decked out in clothes that made him look like he just came out of the apocalypse.
"Looking good there, CJ." Leon said with a smile.
From the corner of his eyes, Leon notices Leo gazing at Casey with a shaky pained smile.
Nidas sighed sadly but April put her hand on his shoulder and gave him a smile.
"Sensei, it's okay. I already forgive you." CJ said to him as Nidas smiled shakily and pulled the kid in a side huh.
Noticing Leon's stare, Leo glances over at him. The young turtle smiled and nodded at Casey encouragingly. His future self hesitated, unsure of himself. He wants to be with Casey. He loves the kid to bits, and he sacrificed his life so Casey could have a normal life. Now he sees the fruits of his sacrifice and he isn't sure what to do.
Leonardo steps behind him and places a gentle hand on his arm. Leo stares down at him. The alternate universe turtle smiles in understanding.
Eventually, they both joined the family on the floor in front of the protection. They sat just far enough from the family that they wouldn't touch, even though nobody would even notice.
They all sat in silence as the movie started playing. For the entire duration of the movie, Leo couldn't take his eyes off Casey.
"This is gonna be good." Miguel said excitedly as he munch on some popcorn.
The kid he had helped raise. The kid he trained. The kid he watched grow up in a world ravaged by a war.
Now that kid is sitting surrounded by his family, wearing warm and comfortable clothes, eating pizza and watching a movie.
His eyes dot with tears which he wiped away.
CJ gave Nidas a hug who returned it with equal love and warmth. Leon smiled softly at them with Leonardo as they watched the movie.
The scene where Rapunzel sees the lanterns up close for the first time came on. The room is cast in a beautiful warm glow from the movie. Everyone is enamored by the beautiful lights and the calm silence of it, floating on a boat at night with only lanterns illuminating the area. It was like being surrounded by stars.
It's a beautiful scene.
"All those days watching from the windows
All those years outside looking in
All that time never even knowing
Just how blind I've been"
The scene just made everyone relax and smile.
Michelangelo even swayed his head lightly to the song.
Raphael had a rare smile but his whole body was relax from the beautiful moment.
Donatello smiled softly but tense when he felt a body leaning against his and saw O'Neil leaning against his arm. Jones saw that but instead of being jealous, he just gave Donatello a thumbs up with a smile.
Leo glances at the movie as the song starts. He remembers this movie. It feels nostalgic to watch it again, after so many years without it. He couldn't recall the story that well, but the song is something he remembers.
"Now I'm here blinking in the starlight
Now I'm here suddenly I see

I'm where I'm meant to be"
April and Donald leaned against each other with Splinter calmly and enjoying the food while watching the movie. Miguel was leaning against Raph with a bright smile.
Leon, Leonardo and Nidas watched the scene with a smile. Leonardo watching in awe at the sight of the beautiful scene with Nidas and Leon smiling fondly.
In a way, hearing the lyrics after what he had been through... it gave a new meaning to it.
He's sitting with his family. With Casey. The Kraang aren't here. There is no war to be fought. No apocalypse that destroyed the world. Just him sitting with his family, the family he thought he had lost forever.

And the world has somehow shifted"
Donatello put an arm around O'Neil who didn't seem to mind one bit.
Leo looks back at Casey. The young man smiles at the screen, his eyes reflecting the lanterns from the movie.
For a moment, Leo could see the young boy he helped raise. Now he's here, safe and sound and happy.
"It's beautiful, Sensei." CJ muttered in awe.
"That it is, Casey. That it is." Nidas said as tears slightly stung his eyes but only out of warmth and happiness.
"All at once everything looks different
Now that I see you"
A smile grows on his eyes as his eyes turn misty. He listens as the music plays from the speakers. It feels soft and warm, a pleasant moment where the hardships of the past could not touch.
"All those days chasing down a daydream
All those years living in a blur"
He opened his mouth and sang slowly, following the lyrics that he had memorized by heart.
"Is he gonna do what I think he's gonna do?" Miguel asked in curiosity and awe.
"I think he is, Miguel." Donald nodded with a soft smile.
Only he, Raph, April and Miguel knows about Leo singing from time to time and it was pleasant to hear.
"All that time never truly seeing
Things, the way they were"
As the only other turtle who could hear him, Leon glances at him, curious and surprised. Even Leonardo is surprised.
That made everyone minus Miguel, Raph, Donald and April to look at Nidas and Leon in surprise and curiosity. Nidas didn't need to look at them all to see their reaction as CJ watched with his mouth drop in awe and amazement at hearing him sing.
Leo's voice is deeper and raspier, no longer as smooth and silky as his younger self. Still, he sang in low tones, matching the harmony of the music and adding a slight melancholic tone to it.
"Now he's here shining in the starlight
Now he's here suddenly I know"
CJ looked at Nidas with tears in his eyes, knowing that he was singing about him.
Nidas just smiled at him and pulled him for a hug as he sang softly along with his on-screen self as CJ listened with a content smile.
He keeps his eyes on Casey, conveying the message to the one who couldn't hear him.
"If he's here it's crystal clear
I'm where I'm meant to go"
Leon and Leonardo ended up singing along as well much to everyone's surprise but didn't stop him as they were entrance and enjoying the scene with warm and soft smiles.
Leon smiles and turns back to the movie, hearing the song and the ballot of a battle hardened man.
"And at last I see the light
And it's like the fog has lifted
And at last I see the light
And it's like the sky is new"
Miguel started to sniff and cry silently as Leon, Leonardo and Nidas sang along with the movie and it's good thing the movie had subtitles to know the lyrics.
Raph had tears in his eyes from how beautiful it was and the fact that Nidas' future self was conveying the second verse and last chorus towards CJ just made it beautiful.
Donald sniffed and April handed him a hanky and he blew his nose on it as April wiped her eyes from the slight tears that formed.
Splinter smiled warmly as his ears twitched slightly to the melody.
Donatello gave O'Neil a hanky as she blew on it and wiped her tears as Jones smiled warmly.
Raphael leaned against Leonardo as Michelangelo leaned against him while tears were in his eyes. Leonardo put an arm around Raph in a side hug.
A tear rolled down Leo's cheek, falling down to his trembling lips. His chest feels like it could burst out from the emotions he's feeling. A mix of emotions that pushes out of his voice.

CJ started to sob softly from how beautiful it was even more that his Sensei/dad was singing along.
Leon smiles to himself, feeling as if he is part of a secret no one else knows.
Sitting here with his family, watching a movie with two other versions of just sitting just a bit away. One of them is the Leo that Casey grew up with, the one who held the most love for the human boy.
"We should definitely do this often." Leon said softly.
"That we do." Raph said with a teary smile.
'Oh, Casey...' He thought to himself. 'If only you knew how much he loves you.'
"I love you, Sensei..." CJ sniffed as Nidas smiled and hugged him again.
"I love you too, Casey." Nidas said softly towards his son/student.
Maybe he might not know what Future Leo is to Casey, but he knows what Casey is to Future Leo.
Family.
Family... Yeah that's the right word for what the two are to the team even with their alternates.
"Oh man, that was so beautiful." Miguel sniffed but was smiling.
"Hey, Jones, you're right about this becoming a musical." April said with a smile.
"It was just a feeling, Apes." Jones smiled back as the next part came on.
