Donatello watched the agent swiftly leave the room once he was finished with his story about his interactions with the Shedder. Donnie was actually quite impressed with the responsiveness of the agent and how quick it seemed he was going to take action against one of the biggest threats Earth has.
The teen waited a few minutes until two agents entered the room to collect him. He grunted as each of them grabbed his arms and lifted him up. As soon as he was up, the ninja lifted his legs up until he could push his feet off the table and flip back, landing behind the two. He quickly swiped their legs out from under them, sending the two guards to the ground. As the first solider lifted back up, Donatello swiftly kicked him in the side of the head leaving him unconscious. The teen gasped as he was pushed back into the table by the now standing second guard. The ninja used the table to his advantage as he leaned back and kicked the second guard in the face with the heel of his foot. The turtle relaxed when the guards seemed to drop down and not get up. Donnie sighed softly before quickly stepping over the hand cuffs so his hands were in front of him now. Donnie quickly patted down the guards before taking their key cards. He took their cuffs out of their belt before handcuffing the two together around the sturdy table. Donnie quickly ran to the door,easily unlocking it with the card. The door open as the teen slipped out and began running down the hall, time to find his brothers and get out of this hell hole. He stopped hearing shouting and fighting before grinning seeing Shredder and his ninjas being attacked by Bishop and his men in the main hanger.
Donnie pulled his attention away from the fighting as alarms started to go off through the compound as he ran, ducking into dips in the hall when groups of soldiers ran by. This was the perfect distraction.
As he ran deeper and further down into the compound, where he had a rough idea where his brothers would be held. Donnie glanced into a few room windows as he walked before stopping at a thicker door, worth a shot..he thought before using the card to open the door. He slipped into the room and was immediately greeted by Mikey and Raph arguing. The teen smiled at the familiar situation that helped his nerves relax. He much rather be with his brothers than wondering around on his own.
"I swear Mikey I would rather Bishop come back than having to wait here alone with you," Raph complained sarcastically as Donnie walked over to the two.
"No need to be rash Raph," Donatello told his brother getting their attention as the purpled clad turtle walked over to the tools on the table before selecting a scalp and cutting the straps on Mikey.
"Donnie!" They both called relieved.
Donnie gasped when Mikey hugged him quickly once he was relieved, "What happen!? You look like crap," The youngest told him as Donnie grunted.
"Geez Mikey, thanks," Donatello told him as he rolled his eyes amused and went to Raph to cut him free, "It's a long story really but it will have to wait, Shredder is here and him and Bishop are fighting," he reported to them as he free his older brother.
"Sounds like my kind of party," Raph said amused as he gripped his shoulder, relieved he was here and looked okay, even though he seemed pretty bruised up.
"Trust me, its one your gonna wanna miss, now can you help me out here?" Donnie asked him as he held up his cuffed hands, quickly going with Raph to the table and laying his arms down. He watched his older brother grab the electric saw and begin to cut the cuffs in the center so he could at least use his hands more, "Thanks," Donatello said relived once the chain snapped apart, he could worry about the melt around his wrist later..
"Alright now lets get the shell out of here," Raph told the two as he headed to the door the turtle entered though before looking down the halls, "This wont be too hard," he commented, the halls seemed deserted as alarms went off and flashing red lights lit up the hall.
Raph took the lead as he rushed out into the hallway, followed by his two younger brothers. Even with the advantage of having all his men distracted, escaping Bishop's base was going to be a challenge. The trio began to search the halls, trying multiple doors with the security key card Donnie swiped. The group, unable to find an exit on the current layer, moved up to the next floor. This floor also seemed mostly empty but had a bit more activity. The noise of the battle was also more noticeable from here.
"Wow they are really going at it," Mikey said surprised as the ground started to shake from the battle.
"Yeah, hopefully it will take out two birds with one stone," Donnie responded to his younger brother as they jogged down the hall, "The last thing we need is those two playing nice," He added as the trio continued, "Look there," The smarter of the three pointed out seeing a heavy door. It seemed thicker than the other, hopefully that met something new was behind it.
Raphael gripped the handle of the door before grunting as he tried to turn it. The oldest of the three panted softly as he stepped back, his attempts to force the door open failing, "Geez how do you open this thing," he complained as Donatello began to look over the door.
"It looks like it could be an emergency door in case of flooding," the purple clad brother mused as he studied the heavy door, "Most underground bases like this have one in case of a natural disaster, even ones located in the dessert it seems," he added, "I don't think we are going to get this thing open, it more than likely is compressed and wont release until triggered," Donnie explained before jolting slightly as the door suddenly popped open.
"You were saying?" Raph asked he brother amused as he tilted his head and smirked. He didn't know the odds of that happening but it seemed pretty funny to him that fate seemed to want to prove his clever brother wrong.
"Oookay, I wasn't expecting that," Donnie admitted as he watched the door push open from the inside, "Leo!" he yelled surprised seeing his brother enter though their exit door. He quickly hugged his eldest brother, relieved he made it out and was here to save them.
"Guys!" the blue clad turtle said surprised seeing his brothers were just standing at the door they just broke into. This was turning into one of the easiest rescue missions ever. He was pretty concerned seeing the explosions and fighting above, but I guess his brothers weren't involved with it. He returned his brothers hug before ruffling Mikeys hair, "Well I guess we picked the right door, you guys ready to get out of here?" He asked his brothers relieved as they stepped back into the tunnel he just came from.
"I really wanted to kick some ass guys, you could of at least pretended you needed our help at least," Casey told the trio as he put his weapon away, looking relieved as he punched Raph in the arm gently.
"How did you even get that door open?" Donnie asked the two surprised as they walked quickly though the stone tunnel, "There should have been build up pressure on the inside," He questioned, he really didn't think Leo or Casey would have been able to clear the tunnel.
"Yeah Leatherhead took care of it, he is waiting at the entrance for us," Leo assured him. They had the large Croc waiting for them in the getaway helicopter in case they didn't come back out. Leatherhead found this entrance and was able to help them clear the passage and get in. Luckily he didn't have to also break them out of here.
"My man," Mikey cheered happily as they reached the end of the tunnel. The group pushed open the cracked door before starting to run across the cool dessert sand to the awaiting helicopter, "Leatherhead! Your my favorite reptile, you know that right?" Mikey cooed to his friend as he climbed into the air craft.
"My friends," Leatherhead greeted the group surprised, "That was a lot faster than I thought it would be," He told them impressed as he started up the helicopter, "I am relieved to see you all return safely," the large reptile added as he lifted the air craft off the ground.
"Were not completely out of it yet," Donatello warned the group, "Bishop is in the process of tracking our phones, I don't think the lair is safe anymore," he explained, "I don't know if they found it yet but it is not worth the risk at the moment," the teen added as he sat at the computer in the back and began to login into their phone system.
"What are we supposed to do then?" Mikey asked concerned, if they couldn't go to lair, or the farm house, then where could they go? Aprils apartment wouldn't be safe from Bishop, he could locate it easily.
"Casey, call ahead to Master Splinter and April, have them get anything we need and meet us at the garage," Leo told the older human as he pulled out his own phone, "Ill get us a hotel to stay at," He assured them. They were human now so why not? "We should be able to continue to use Leatherheads lab right Donnie?" The older brother asked as he scrolled through hotels and motels on his phone.
"Yeah I don't see any activity there so it should be safe, I self-destructed the compromised shell cells, hopefully they didn't get any information off of them," The clever brother reported back to the others as he finished up on the computer.
"You can just self-destruct our phones at any time? Dude I sleep with that beside my face," Mikey told his brother concerned as he held his head. His immediate older brother just laughed softly in respond as Raphael began to pick the lock to the hand cuffs on his wrist.
"I assure you its perfectly safe," The purple clad brother assured his younger brother as he let Raph work on his chains, "As long as your on my good side anyways," He added as he gave his blonde brother a tiny smirk.
"Your kind of scary sometimes Donnie," Mikey whined to his brother softly as he sat down and crossed his arms, "Maybe I will get Iphone instead," He teased the others as he crossed his legs and relaxed back.
Donnie rolled his eyes at Mikey, "Yeah like they wont also blow up next to you." His engineering was much more put together than Apples and lasted longer, plus didn't break when you dropped it. The purple clad brother sighed in relief when the cuffs fell to the ground before rubbing his wrist, "Thanks Raph," he thanked his older brother warmly.
"No problem genius, now what happen to you? We got sent to Bishop for obvious reasons, but why did they take you to shred head?" The hot headed teen asked as he sat down across from his bruised up little brother. He wasn't surprised his brother returned beat up but he was confused he was taken in the first place.
"Right, that's actually a funny story, since I was holding one of Leo's sword, the foot clan mistook me for him," He young genius explained, "So I guess the deal was, Bishop gets us three and Shedder got Leo and Splinter," He added, "Good thing though, Shedder was this close to finishing me off before he realized I wasn't even Leo," Donnie finished as he rubbed his neck at the memory of almost getting stabbed in the billionaires office.
"I am so sorry Donnie, I should have been there instead of you," Leo told his brother regretfully as he gripped the other teens shoulder. He felt awful his little brother was in this condition because he had a target on his head.
"Did you not hear him old wise one? They would of killed you if you were there," Raphael told his brother firmly as he crossed his arms, "And Donnie made it out like a champ, then set up Bishop and Shedder against each other, I think our little genius is all grown up," Raph complimented as he nodded to his immediate younger brother.
"Raph is right Leo, I am glad it was me and not you, there was no way out of that situation but dumb luck," Donnie assured his eldest brother, "Plus it wasn't ALL bad, Karai also thought I was you, and I got a sweet kiss out of it," He teased his brothers as they gave him shocked looks, Leo's face turning bright red.
"S-She kissed you? Or me?" Leo asked his brother as he looked away embarrassed. What did that mean!? What are they!? She wanted to kiss him? And he missed it! That wasn't fair and now Donnie was the first one out of them to actually kiss a girl, and a pretty girl at that.
"What!?" Mikey yelled in shock as he stood up before gripping his genius brother's shoulders, "Tell Me Everything!" He demanded his older brother as he grinned at them. This was insane! Donnie kissed a girl!? Karai liked Leo?!
"There isn't much to say, I was pretty out of it, but I guess it was…soft?" Donnie stuttered out as he blushed at his brothers now that he had their full attention. Raphael seemed to get a kick out of it as he laughed loudly at the situation and seemed to be mocking Leo with kissy sounds.
Mikey continued to ramble and ask he questions about the kiss and what it made him and Karai exactly.
Donnie smiled softly at his family as he laughed with them and tried his best to answer Mikeys questions, giving Raphael more fuel to tease Leo with. He missed this and he was glad they got the chance to let loose a little with everything that has been going on, at least until they got home.
