Episode 4

(Even the announcer is a dick to the Jammin' ninja.)

"Yes! Blame the poor man for doing his job! The crowd voted for the nickel samurai! He is the winner! The announcer is just trying to console the runner-up. Haven't you ever seen TV games?" one sin added.

(Well, the Gatewater hotel has gotten a lot fancier since the first game. How did they get so much renovation done in eighteen months.)

"Guys…You are reading this too, right? I am not the only one. Okay? Okay…Pierce literally thinks the entire hotel used to look like April May's room and they renovated the main area…which we've never seen before…That's the intelligence level I am dealing with!" one sin added.

(Also, wasn't it a few months it just a little over a year ago that the Steel samurai was at the height of popularity? How has he already passed the baton on to the next generation? And if they are, what happened to the pink princess? Will Powers later says Jammin' ninja lost to the pink princess last year, but that Grand Prix would have been held only a few months after turnabout samurai, meaning Pink Princess was just getting started. How did she rise to fame so quickly? Is she already off the air after a year? This superhero franchise is harder to keep track off than the MCU.)

"It's not if you are not overcomplicating things for no reason. The steel samurai was cancelled after turnabout samurai. That is a fact. Sure, he has remained influential, but he is not a participant on the Grand Prix. The pink princess began airing on December. Three months before the Grand Prix. That is more than enough time to win over the audience. And yes, Powers does say it wrapped up after a year. Maybe soon, but it is a fact. And that's why the Jammin' ninja and the nickel samurai are the only ones left fighting over the spotlight." One sin added.

(What did Phoenix do at lawyer camp? That never gets explained.)

"Maybe because it isn't necessary. It is shown as being an embarrassing story Maya used to force Phoenix to do her favors. Since we never hear about it again, its clear it was a one-time gag. That's all we need to know. Besides, if we don't know, we can speculate, which is way funnier for the fans. Why are you sinning this?" one sin added.

[(Phoenix would walk over hot coals for Maya) Well, burning bridge. Close enough, right?]

"Pierce yells at the screen cliché. She also refers to events of future games that are not sins of this case cliché." one sin added.

(Does Gumshoe really not remember who Lotta is? They've met three times now, the first time on an extremely memorable case.)

"Does Gumshoe ever ask who Lotta is? No? Then he does remember her. The fact he treats her like a stranger is because police officers are meant to be impartial while investigating crimes and I don't think he and Lotta got very buddy-buddy to begin with." One sin added.

(Does Pearl really not remember who Lotta is? The first time they met was on an extremely memorable case for Pearl that saw her mom taken away. I don't think Pearl would have forgotten that case that easily.)

"Did Pearl ever really see Lotta though? They never were in the same room during the investigations and Pearl was channeling Mia for the majority of the trial. I don't think she has any reason to remember her out of everything in that case." One sin added.

(Gumshoe spends all that time keeping Lotta away from the crime scene…then abandons Lotta to the crime scene so he can talk with Phoenix and Pearl for several minutes. Seems logical.)

"Yet another scene manipulation. Gumshoe was trying to keep the fact Juan Corrida had been murdered by order of the police to prevent mayhem from spreading in the entire hotel! He slips up in front of Lotta and reveals that, so Lotta runs off to call dibs on that news before anyone else does. Gumshoe stays outside the crime scene to speak with Phoenix and Pearl." One sin added.

[(Phoenix gets the transceiver from Powers.) Let's talk about Engarde's-De killer's- kidnapping plan for a second: the plan for de killer to abduct Maya dressed like a bellboy is all fine and dandy, but how did he know Phoenix and Maya would be here? Powers is the one who invited them. Did Engarde suggest inviting the two of them to Powers? Did he overhear Powers' intention to invite his former lawyer and assistant? Was it a coincidence? It's not explained, so it's a sin.]

"It's clear this entire plan was planned well in advance. The original plan was for de Killer to get the blame and protect Engarde by leaving his card at the scene. But they also prepared for the event it went wrong, just like it did. So, de Killer orchestrated this backup plan. He found the best lawyer in town, that being Phoenix. He tailed him and Maya for a long time and found out how close they were. Since the Grand Prix was such a big event, I'm sure there was a list of the guests. Being the star, Engarde had access, so he would know Phoenix and Maya would be there and tell de Killer, who would make sure to dress up as a bellboy and go there in advance to prepare for the kidnapping. You are underestimating the greatest assassin in this series." One sin added.

[(The first ransom call) What is the banging that causes the screen to pixelate? It's great for dramatic effect…]

"I'm gonna stop you right there. You answered yourself yet again." One sin added.

(Getting down to the nitty gritty of the kidnapping requires the screen to lose color.)

"Still for dramatic effect. This is another similarity you and Jeremy have: you fail to realize the concept of visual storytelling." One sin added.

(Why can Maya only scream on cue? Is De killer removing her gag at certain times for dramatic effect? How does that work, exactly?)

"Maya only speaks once. De Killer could have put the gag on her mouth after that. He left it off so she could shout for help and Phoenix will realize she was there. The next time we hear her, she is muffling. That's how people are supposed to sound with gags on their mouths." One sin added.

(Phoenix is told not to talk to any cops, so naturally, his first instinct is to tell Gumshoe everything. I understand he is pretty stressed right now, but really?!"

"Gumshoe is not "All cops." He is the only person on the force Phoenix trusts. And for a good reason. Phoenix needs to confide in someone to ensure help in handling the situation. And Gumshoe is the only person he can turn to in his hour of need." One sin added.

(Let's get my biggest problem with this case out of the way early: Why does Engarde-Or de Killer if this was his plan-feel the need to have Phoenix as his lawyer so strongly that he holds Maya for ransom? First of all, the game was already trending towards us taking Engarde as a client without Maya's kidnapping, and Engarde convinces Phoenix he is innocent enough regardless. If Ron DeLite in the next game is able to fool Phoenix about being a criminal-despite admitting to the actual crime from the beginning and Phoenix really only pressing on out of lawyerly faith-Engarde would have been able to as well.)

"Because phoenix has taken a serious oath to drop a case and refuse to represent a man as soon as he realized he is guilty. Engarde fooled Phoenix in the first day. But he knew he couldn't keep it up forever. On the second day, Phoenix broke his psyche-locks and discovered the truth: that he was a murderous and ruthless psychopath! DeLite was a thief, but Phoenix only discovered that after proving him innocent. He was still insistent on proving him innocent for a murder he didn't commit. Engarde has nothing to be proven innocent on. He knows if Phoenix discovers the truth, he will refuse to defend him and he needs leverage over him if that happens. That is literally the plot of the entire case!" one sin added.

(Second of all, even if he didn't get Phoenix, why does he want Phoenix so badly in the first place?)

"Really? Is that an actual question? How about the fact his name in on the game's title and the box's cover! I won't write the whole sin down, but you suggest Hammond or Gavin could have been Engarde's lawyer…but there is reason neither of them is the protagonist. Because the game's focus is the man who actually defends him!" one sin added.

"Also, you are suggesting any attorney could have matched Phoenix's talent! How? Phoenix's attention to detail and chronical bluffing is the only reason he managed to cast suspicion on Andrews to begin with. And also, also…whose side are you on?!" one sin added.

(Pearl says Maya is all she has left in this world…until the next game, when it's revealed she's had a half-sister living at Hazakura all this time that no one knew. I swear, this family tree gets bigger every time.)

"Great…how is that a thing wrong with Farewell my turnabout? You just said nobody knows about Iris. Pearl is all alone right now!" one sin added.

[(Engarde mistakes Phoenix for various salespeople) Engarde acts like an idiot for no discernible benefit.]

"Maybe to hide his true colors and convince Phoenix that he is the of the naïve, innocent client kind of people he is used to?" one sin added.

(Also, Matt Engarde.)

"Sinning Matt Engarde. This character changed everything we thought we knew about this series. He was the first guilty client we ever get and when it's revealed how evil and despicable he is, the shock hits you like a ton of bricks. In other words, he is a pivotal character for the whole series." one sin added.

(Wrist Phones. I guess they are this universe's version of smartwatches?)

"Pierce think smartwatches don't function as phones. In other words, she is one of those people who try to test their electric outlets by putting forks inside them." One sin added.

(Why does Engarde act so surprised to hear de Killer's name? Are you telling me he didn't recognize Phoenix as the lawyer he wanted to represent him until this very moment?)

"Yes. Do you think a person as vain and self-absorbed as Engarde is later revealed to be cares about random lawyers? All he knew was the backup plan was to force a lawyer to represent him. He didn't know Phoenix was that lawyer and he didn't realize it until Phoenix mentioned De killer." One sin added.

(Oldbag simultaneously thinks she's in turnabout samurai again while not remembering any of the events of that episode. How is that possible?)

"Oldbag is ? years old. Welcome to dementia." One sin added.

[(In Corrida's room.) This guy's bear fetish.]

"And why is that a sin? It may seems weird, but…trust me, there is a lot weirdest stuff going on in this world." One sin added.

(The requirement for being a character in this case was that you had to have psyche-locks on your secrets at any given time. Calling the theory now.)

"What?! What the hell is this sin?! The magatama was set up two cases before! It's entire power is showing locks on people's heart when they lie or hide stuff. And now you are sinning the fact every person in this case has psyche-locks for trying to lie?" one sin added.

[(The various samurais) Did someone whip out a periodic table while naming these characters? Is the steel samurai the love child between the iron samurai and the carbon magistrate? I swear, the only characters with worse names than our universe's superheroes are fictional universe's superheroes. And that isn't even getting into the other superheroes who were at this competition in the opening.]

"There is no actual sin here. Really, none of the things said in this paragraph are things wrong with this case. Just Piercetheveils being Piercetheveils. Nothing to see here people." one sin added.

(Franziska swears on her family's honour that the case will be won by the prosecution and while she's right…isn't her family's honour more than a little tarnished at this point, with everything her father did and her recent losses? I don't think this means as much as she think it does.)

"You are, yet, again, missing characterization. Franziska is obsessed with keeping up with the legacy of the von Karma name. Even after her father's arrest, the reputation he left as a God of prosecution is there. Franziska lives in fear that she will be unworthy of that legacy if she can't win. She is basically banking all of her family's honour and pride on winning this case. In other words, her statement means a lot right now." One sin added.

[(Franziska gives Phoenix the autograph from Corrida to-apparently-Oldbag) Why does Franziska helps us on that front? That's never explained.]

"You mean the autograph she happened to be carrying with her and the one she threw at Phoenix's face to signify her anger at him? The piece of evidence she considered worthless and threw at Phoenix to show how lowly she thinks of him? don't think this qualifies as giving. Apparently, every time a person gives Pierce something, they throw it to her face. Which…says a lot." One sin added.

[(Celeste's suicide is mentioned for the first time.) Incident from x years ago is related to today cliché for the third time in as many episodes. And just like last game, this warrants a total of three sins. Get another cliché to abuse, will you?]

"You are aware that this "Cliché" is the foundation of Adrian Andrews' backstory, right? That it triggers the events of this entire, awesome case? And that it is crucial to Andrews changing and becoming strong and independent? You are? Great…" one sin added.

[(Edgeworth appears) How did Edgeworth sneak into criminal affairs without being noticed? Everyone in this room-save Gumshoe-thinks he killed himself, and he's not exactly inconspicuous in appearance.]

"You have no idea how unobservant people can be. If Edgeworth didn't speak out loud to get everyone's attention, it is very likely nobody would notice him. In the movie "Seven" for example, a killer walks into the police station covered in blood and nobody notices him until he announces himself by yelling. And in the real world, a famous actor can sit next to you in the bus and you probably won't realize it until you see him getting off." One sin added.

"Also, sinning this scene." ten sins added.

(Also, you mean one of the four characters on this game's cover art is actually in the game? What a groundbreaking plot twist.)

"Pierce is still sinning this particular scene. Sure, she removes sins for Edgeworth after this, but at this point, I would like to remind you she called his arc in this game Bullshit." Ten sins added.

(Franziska encounters her brother, who's apparently back from the dead, and her first instinct is to lecture him for soiled reputations. Some sister she is!)

"it's almost like Franziska was raised by an obsessive perfectionist and the idea that all members of the family need to be perfect was drilled into her head. She blames Edgeworth for ruining the family's legacy by losing three cases. Also, she feels betrayed because Edgeworth, who she actually had feelings for, run off and never told her a thing. You are terrible at understanding human pain, aren't you?" three sins added.

(Edgeworth sees his sister again for the first time in about half a year after convincing her he died and his first instinct is to mock her for losing cases. Some relationship these two have.)

"Maybe because Edgeworth realizes Franziska needs to stop obsessing with perfection because she is getting crushed under the pressure. Ever since she was a child, she has been pressured by everyone to be as legendary as her father, and with two losses, she feels the pressure suffocating her. Edgeworth may come across as harsh, but he is actually trying to help. Not unlike he does with another troubled female in this case." One sin added.

(Franziska says she will never hand the case over to Edgeworth, despite the fact that…I get the sense Franziska is the least genre savvy…"

"Okay, I am going to skip this bullshit. Pierce asks the characters of the game to pull a Deadpool and become aware that they are in a fictional universe where everything has a predetermined outcome. And she sins the game for not doing that as if it's an important plot element." One sin added.

(Phoenix knows he's on a tight schedule to investigate the case and only gets one day from de Killer to prove Engarde innocent, but decides now is the time to have a long philosophical chat about personal motivations regardless. Now I know these thematic elements are important to the plot later, but there is no way Phoenix did.)

"Sinning this case for taking a philosophical approach and reaching new depths in the roles of defense and prosecution. You do know these chats are the fundamental reason for why this case is often cited as one of the best in the series, don't you?" One sin added.

(Edgeworth just casually outs Andrews for having codependency issue like it's no big deal. Fuck people's right to privacy.)

"Because he knows this will be important to break Andres' resistance and get her to tell the duo what she knows. I would like to remind you this is the only way to break her psyche-locks and also the only way to get her to admit to tampering with evidence. I don't think privacy matters in a murder trial." One sin added.

(Also, also…they have this conversation in front of an eight-year old the day after she watched her cousin get kidnapped. Edgeworth and Phoenix are dicks to Pearl. Eight years old is too young to learn about suicide, goddammit it!)

"This girl saw her mother get arrested for accessory to the premediated murder of man and saw her cousin get kidnapped by an international assassin. She has matured as a result of those developments. There is no turning back now. And what do you even want Phoenix to do, tell her to wait outside while he talks with Edgeworth? The last time he left a female friend unguarded, she got kidnapped!" one sin added.

(Franziska reveals planting the beacon on Gumshoe.) That doesn't sound legal.]

"I don't think the game ever said it was. Unless you think Franziska cares at all about violation of privacy laws at this part of the series." One sin added.

[(Breaking Andrews's psyche-locks.) Eleven years before Athena Cykes is a character in this series and we already have a lawyer performing therapy sessions on a witnesses to get them to reveal information.]

"Sis, there isn't a universe in which this was considered similar to Athena's mood matrix. You are so desperate to find parallels between cases-which are not even sinful by the way-that you just make stuff up!" one sin added.

(De Killer's idea of a present is to shoot the prosecutor in charge of the case. I guess he knew how many fangirls Edgeworth had and wanted to make sure the guy got the finale?)

"De Killer couldn't care less about Edgeworth and his fangirls. He only cares about helping Engarde get off the hook. And he does this by making the top prosecutor in the country unable to handle the case. His gift is ensuring Phoenix an easy win. If Edgeworth hadn't stepped in, the only other available person to take the case would be Winston Payne! " One sin added.

(Also, Franziska receives the von Karma badge of dishonor after being somewhat humiliated by a somewhat persistent defense attorney, in the form of a gunshot wound to the shoulder. I imagine it will cause her the same amount of problems in her day to day life as it did her father. That is to say, absolutely none!)

"No, no, no! You are getting five sins for this nonsense! Franziska being shot is nothing short of a tragedy and it makes you sincerely worry for her for probably the first time in the game. And you treat it like a joke. The parallel with her father is meant to be as a clever bit of writing…but you don't get that either." Five sins added.

"Also, your suggestion that Franziska won't get hurt by the gunshot wound to her shoulder implies you think she will walk it off like her father. She is specifically stated to be undergoing surgery. That literally means she will suffer no ill effects after the bullet is removed." One sin added.

(Gumshoe's been fired as the detective for this case, be he still testifies in court om behalf of the police department, because…why again?"

"Either you are lying, or you are not hyper-observant. Pick one! Gumshoe states that he will turn his badge in after he is done testifying in this case. Franziska had him fired for good, not just for the case. But since he was the head of the case and nobody else knows the details as well as he does…he has to do this." One sin added.

[(Edgeworth offers Phoenix one last chance to present evidence.) Why is Edgeworth helping us? He's right on the money in this case, and he doesn't yet know about Maya's situation, so what gives?}

"The literal premise of the whole case is Edgeworth realizes neither side can win on its own. Prosecution and defense have to work together to discover the truth. That's the answer he found on his journey. He already knows Andrews is hiding a lot and he knows it would be unfair to end the trial before all comes to light, so he gives Phoenix a chance to do just that. You have sinned Edgeworth for being in demon mode…now you sin him for being out of demon mode. You cannot make up your mind!" one sin added.

(Phoenix spends any time at all thinking about whether he will bluff about something.)

"He is trying to gather his thoughts to speak clearly, get his point across and not say a bunch of incoherent bullshit! Unlike some people I happen to know!" one sin added.

(Edgeworth strikes Phoenix down in twenty seconds flat, but still stalls for time for no apparent reason…)

"I already explained Edgeworth's reasoning here. Skip!" one sin added.

(Also, it means Edgeworth is willingly submitting both us and himself to the torture of Wendy Oldbag. Not cool, man.)

"He wants to get to the truth! You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs…this means you have to make sacrifices, if it wasn't clear enough for you." One sin added.

(Edgeworth can't get witnesses to say their names cliché)

""Sigh" Oh, shit, pal. Here we go again." One sin added.

(Also, the wicked witch of the witness stand. That's it, I'm using that nickname from here on out. Thanks, Edgeworth.)

"Pierce sins something she likes cliché." One sin added.

(Oh, what I wouldn't give to have Franziska's whip right now.) You and me both, pal.)

"Pierce sins something she likes cliché." One sin added

(Phoenix want so burn Oldbag in a fire? I hate her, too, but surely there's a more efficient way to get rid of her. She'd scream the whole time if we did this.)

"Pierce, darling? Some people from the FBI are here for you." One sin added.

(Oldbag was hanging around Corrida's room for sole pupsoe of attempting to jump Andrews. Much as I'd pay to see this…)

"Pierce sins something she liked cliché. Again!" one sin added.

(Andrew's pants do not match her shirt. You'd think a woman as careful as her would be sure to wear clothes that go together and, apparently, you'd be wrong. Nd yes, I am sinning a character for their fashion sense)

"So that is your issue with this case. That this mentally unstable woman does not care about her fashion sense. Right…" one sin added.

[(Gumshoe volunteers to work for Phoenix after he gets fired) Dick Gumshoe: ace attorney is not a game that actually exists.]

"You read that right. She thinks a game staring detective Gumshoe should be called 'Ace attorney" Let that sink in for a second." One sin added.

"Also, in your "Rise from the ashes" fic, you claimed the scenario of Gumshoe working at Phoenix's office never happens…and you show a scene of it happening. What, did you think we would forget and you'd get away with pure dishonesty?!" one sin added.

(The end justifies the man, Mr. Phoenix Wright. The end justifies the means.) Oh, not this shit again…wait, Dual Destinies came out after this game, didn't it?)

"Also, none of the characters in this game were the first ones to come up with it. It has been a normal saying used by tons of people for hundreds of years." One sin added.

(We get back to Maya) Maya says she's never used a computer before…in March 2018.]

"Even though the game was made long before that time. This game takes place in the future, but there was no way to predict what would and would not be common in that future." one sin added.

(Phoenix can identify Oldbag's perfume by name. Why can he do that?)

"Maybe his mother or grandmother used the same perfume. But…now that I think about it…who the hell cares?!" one sin added.

(Hey, did we ever actually feed shoe? I need closure for shoe, goddammit it!)

"I'm pretty sure "The butler" will take care of that. At least that's the impression Phoenix gets." One sin added.

"Also, I find it strange you wanted the game to focus more on a cat, but not on the philosophical meanings of everything happening in this case. A girl with priorities." one sin added.

(Also, can he not hear his theme music?)

"That one sentence says more about Piercetheveils and her IQ level than I could with an entire fanfic." One sin added.

(The butler did it cliché. De Killer is really disguised as a butler, but the core of the cliché remains.)

"So if I dress as a butler for a Halloween party and someone dies at the party, I should get blamed because I'm the butler? The f…, man?! Your logic is all over the place!" one sin added

(Phoenix uses zoinks in reference to Oldbag) Scooby-doo references]

"And since when are those a sin?" one sin added.

(Gumshoe has the ability to construct fully functioning bug sweepers in elementary school, but still his days bumbling as a low wage detective. He might have missed his true calling.)

"Tell me: who besides a member of the police has everyday use for bug sweepers? Besides, Gumshoe might like being a detective. The man is proud of his job!" one sin added.

(Why would Engarde buy the rarest, most expensive bear possible to hide his camera in? He has no reason to and the whole business of filming De Killer is ultimately what does him in. Culprit foils his own plot for the weirdest and most ridiculous of reason.)

"Usually, sinning characterization is really annoying, but this one is particularly egregious because this one is a basic plot point of the case. Engarde is shown-and hinted by his name-at not trusting people, but just exploit them for his own purposes. He didn't trust the assassin and thought he would try to blackmail him with Juan's death. So he planted the camera to film him and have insurance against him. And the fact his lack of trust and greed ends up being his own downfall is a great example of tragic irony. And the fact you sin it is worth…this many sins." Thirty sins added.

(The idea of the magatama being caught on a technicality is a great plot point.)

"I will end here, because Pierce sinned something she likes for the tenth time this chapter! She basically sins the other games for not doing a great plot point this case did and sins this case for it. There are more flip-flops here than the beach of Saint-Tropez!" one sin added.

(Hey, Will Powers is here. I'll be honest, I kinda forgot he was in the case.)

"Given he ends up being vital in the trial tomorrow…that's a sin on you." One sin added.

(Are people allowed to order pizza in prison?)

"Yes, the rich people." One sin added.

(Pearl has never eaten pizza before?! What nonsense is this?!"

"You already sinned the second case! So you know Pearl has been so isolated her whole life she didn't even know what a train was before she met us…and you seriously just suggested her strict ass mother would let her eat pizza." One sin added.

(Engarde spends almost four thousand dollars on toothbrushes?! What a waste!"

"Rich people be rich people'n." one sin added.

[(Engarde's transformation) How did this asshole get brandy in prison?...]

"No, no, no! I don't care what she is saying! Sinning the greatest plot twist in the trilogy!" thirty sins added.

(When did Engarde grow vampire fangs? I'm pretty sure he didn't have those earlier.)

"Again…you cannot understand visual storytelling." One sin added.

"Also, still sinning this transformation." thirty sins added.

(Was Edgeworth eavesdropping the whole time?)

"Yes. Next question." One sin added.

(Phoenix has a crisis of conscience.) This case is great at getting Phoenix to question his methods and learn to not trust his clients and point of view blindly.)

"I'll stop right there. Pierce again blames the later games for no recognizing this case's impact. Even if that were true-It's not, this case leaves a permanent scar on your soul the first time you play it-it still wouldn't be a sin of this case. But it get sinned because…stupidity." One sin added.

(Phoenix's nightmare reused from the first case. But this time, it actually means shit. Why didn't they save it for this case, then?)

"Because it would seem out of place and sudden to only have it happen here? The one thing the first case is guaranteed to do great is setting up the premise of this one. Give credit where credit is due." One sin added.

(I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want. So tell me what you want, what you really, really want.)

"Oh my God! The last time you did this…I begged you not to make it a running gag! Why, Pierce?! Why?! Pierce makes a pop culture reference while singing cliché. And if it was meant as a joke…why are you sinning the game for it?! And it is a terrible joke" five sins added.

(Phoenix says the one who accepted the bear may have been Andrews) I get Phoenix is just stalling for time here, but why does his point stand for more than five seconds? The timeline itself proves he's wrong. De Killer gave the bear to Engarde directly after the murder. Andrews didn't don the Nickel samurai costume until after she found the body and chose to frame Engarde, which was after De Killer left. Edgeworth can discount the possibility right now. He just chooses not to even before agreeing to play along with Phoenix and Gumshoe. For some reason.)

"I assume when Phoenix said he and Edgeworth would drag out the trial while the rescue team tried to locate Maya, Pierce was in the toilet." One sin added.

(Also, the Berry big circus is still in town? After three months? Don't most circuses travel throughout the year?)

"Some circuses do take months between their performances. In a city with millions of citizen who swarm every day, it is in their best interests to sick around for as much as possible." One sin added.

(Andres opens the bear figurine.) So where was Corrida hiding Inpax's note before he got the bear? Why would he hide it in a place he knew Andrews can get into. Didn't he know she wanted to burn it?)

"Um…no? Andrews got close to Corrida with the sole purpose of getting her hands on that note. I assume Corrida didn't know that or else the mission would have been aborted from day one." One sin added.

(Phoenix throws his phone across the courtroom to Edgeworth. Because, you know walking or running over there to hand it to him is so much work.)

"Sinning this scene! I can promise this scene will get a good laugh out of you. And the fact the game can do that when things are so dire just goes to show how amazing it is!" one sin added.

(De Killer is a troll on the witness stand. It'd be funny in lighter circumstances, but in this case, it's downright sinworthy.)

"Just read the sin above this one. Pierce thinks this case would be better if the developers took The Christopher Nolan approach of making every darker and more serious." One sin added.

(De Killer's second testimony session) In the end, the move that does Engarde in after all his well laid out plans and Phoenix's efforts and save's Andrew's life…is the fact De Killer never bothered to learn the true gender of Adrian Andrews. If she didn't have a gender neutral name-or any of the characters in the courtroom happened to mention it before de Killer slipped up-she would have been fucked)

"And if Phoenix's parents had never met, he never would have been born and this series wouldn't exist. And if Edgeworth and his father had gone down the stairs, DL-6 would never have happened. Do you see where I'm going with this? Just because something is unlikely doesn't mean it couldn't have happened. Especially since the game shows you that it did happen!" one sin added

(Why does the judge think Phoenix wants him dead? If anything, Phoenix should like him presiding over all his cases and allow all this crazy bullshit to happen. You think judge Courtney would have been down for half of this?!)

"Sinning this line! The game is still being hilarious in the middle of dramatic tension!" one sin added.

(De Killer offers to let Phoenix become his successor.) Phoenix Wright: ace assassin…)

"Skip!" one sin added.

(I know Phoenix doesn't want to let Engarde go free, but if he really cares about finding the truth and not letting Adrian take the blame as an innocent person, what's stopping him from taking her case after the trial is over? As we see in the next game, he has no trouble proving someone innocent of a crime he just blamed them for-and vice versa-so really, it is possible for everyone to go free.)

"That's now how this works. There is no third avenue here! Andrews has been exposed for evidence tampering and, thanks to Phoenix's desperate efforts and De Killer's testimony, is now the prime suspect. Phoenix cannot prove her innocent, unless he gets De Killer to retract his testimony, which would never happen. The only way she is getting off the hook now is to get Engarde to confess himself, since no evidence would compel him to do so now. So…it's not possible for everyone to go free." One sin added.

"And also…you just suggested letting Engarde go to torture more innocent young women in his sadistic game of life and death is an option." One sin added.

(Mia ex Machina)
