Lucy walks to the screen.
"In some universes, I'm Lucy Loud, some I'm Lucy Shapiro, and others I'm Lucy Huntington. But it doesn't matter. Get ready for me to share some scary stories." Lucy says.
Lucy's Scare Fest: Coming in October
Luke's P.O.V.
I woke up the next day in the Baltimore hotel that all the other ANH teams were staying at. Today's the second day of my birthweek and the day of the show.
I am now in my hotel room's breakfast nook, watching Chalice make my breakfast for today. I smile at her, knowing how lucky I am to have her. We had decided to do our vow renewal after my birthweek, on the day after my castle celebration.
I was also happy to hear that all of my friends were coming to the show later. Especially Garrett and Remy.
But now it's time to get this day started with some breakfast and a lot of practice for tonight.
Luke walked up to the table and smiled at the French toast and fruit that was placed before him as he sat down.
Chalice smiles and kisses Luke. Luke kisses her back before eating his breakfast.
Chalice's P.O.V.
I watch Lukey eat his breakfast as I smile at him. His smile said it all as I knew I did a great job on his breakfast this morning.
I start thinking of my own birthday next month and I wonder if it'll be remembered. But if I know Lukey, he'll have something special planned for me.
I get to perform with him on ANH later, in front of lots of fans. Most of the fans will remember his birthday, I know. But most will also be there for others, such as the ding-dongs. They are quite a pair, winning fans over left and right.
One thing's for sure, and that thing is that I have to step up my performance game to try and match their level.
Aria heads off to rehearse with Jackson. They think of what gifts they could get Luke. Aria wonders about the things her father likes.
"I already got him something." Jackson says.
Aria frowned. She didn't know what gift would suit Luke best.
They then begin to practice.
Chalice and Luke are at their practice, rehearsing their routine.
"I think we got it down…" Luke says, getting a bottle of water and drinking it.
"What are you most excited for today?" Chalice asked Luke.
"My party, for sure. But I also look forward to performing." Luke says.
"Same here." Chalice says.
With Cuphead, he and Mugman finished their practice and were just relaxing.
"So, I heard that Margo was also having some kind of party tonight." Cuphead says.
"Yeah, but that party is just her family's holiday party at the Inner Harbor's nicest restaurant. Margo invited me to come along, but I told her I was already going to Luke's party after the show today." Mugman says. "I didn't bring my ice skates for nothing."
Cuphead nods understandingly and grins before showing Mugman he had also brought his ice skates.
"Nice!" Mugman says. "This is going to be fun…after the show, of course."
Soon, Luke was getting ready. He smiled at his reflection as he combed his hair and gave himself a pre-show once-over.
"Lukey, you look wonderful." Chalice says. "And you look marvelous at any age!"
Luke blushes. "Oh, Chally, you always know how to charm my pants off…" Luke says, kissing his wife.
Soon, it was time for the show to start as April and Gemma appeared on stage in their coolest outfits.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to CFG Bank Arena! Tonight, this place is playing host to our first ever Dance Club show!" April says.
"Tonight, our teams will dazzle you with their dance skills and more! This show will feature a quintuple elimination, and at the end of tonight's show, our top 15 teams will be displayed on the screen. Those teams will go to the School Spirit show at Michigan State University! So, if you want your favorite team to show their school spirit, you must vote!" Gemma says.
"Coming up first, I present to you, the duo of Aria Huntington and Jackson Roberts!" April says with a smile.
The crowd cheers as Aria and Jackson appear on stage in neon outfits, holding drumsticks. They then performed "Bang Dem Sticks" by Meghan Trainor.
Fans cheered as their heads rotated. Luke and Mugman smiled at their kids as they finished.
Aria and Jackson bowed as they went offstage.
Beau and Beatrix went next. They did a performance with "Green Green Grass" by George Ezra.
Jancey, Belle, and Bumper Jr. were dancing along and cheering them on. Around them, lots of fans got into the song and dance.
After a while, they finished to loud cheering. And of course, their family cheered the loudest.
Luke sighed and sat on the couch in his dressing room.
Lucy feels bad.
"I just don't get it…I thought my fans would have remembered my birthday. But I guess…I guess I was wrong to even think that." Luke says as he lays face down on the couch, starting to cry into the pillows.
Chalice watched him cry. She felt bad.
"Oh, Lukey…" Chalice says, rubbing his back.
"What's going on?" Gemma asked as she entered the room.
Chalice explained. Gemma offered Luke some water and told him to breathe. Luke calmed down a little, but he wasn't in the mood to perform at the moment.
"Should I let you guys go on a little later? It sounds like Luke needs some time." Gemma says.
"That's a good idea." Chalice says. As soon as Gemma leaves the room.
Luke sobbed as Chalice sat with him and held his hands. She starts to sing to him as he sniffs.
On stage, Carol and Connor were on. They were doing their performance with the song "Diggy" by Spencer Ludwig. The crowd was going nuts for them as they were pulling off some pretty amazing dance moves on stage.
At the end of their performance, April gives the Pingrey siblings the platinum button for a well-coordinated and amazingly-practiced performance. Carol and Connor smile and high-five each other before going offstage. They were sure to be in the Top 15 because of this.
Backstage, Luke felt heartbroken. Not because Connor got the platinum button with his sister, but because he knew he had no fans who loved him anymore.
Luke balled his hands into fists as he felt like punching something. He started punching a few pillows as he ranted.
Chalice tried to calm him down. All she could do now was listen to him.
"Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday!" The fans chanted for Luke. Luke sniffed.
"What's g-going on?" Luke asked as he looked around. They were all there for Luke's birthday and wanted him to come on stage.
"Whaddaya say, Lukey? Wanna perform for everyone?" Chalice asked Luke with a smile.
Luke smiled. "Let's do this!" He says.
Soon, Luke waits for an introduction.
"Coming up next, the true stars of the show and the best of all time, Mrs. Chalice and the birthday star himself, Luke Huntington!" April says.
As soon as the two of them appeared on their giant cake prop, the crowd burst into song.
"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy 25th Birthday, Luke Huntington! Happy Birthday to you!" The crowd sang harmoniously.
Luke smiled. "You're all too kind!" He says.
He and Chalice begin their performance of "Birthday" by Katy Perry as they dance on the cake prop.
The fans cheered wildly as they danced. Luke was practically beaming on stage as he and Chalice danced more before jumping off the prop cake and into a real one to finish their performance.
Luke and Chalice were in first place after that performance, just behind Connor and Carol.
Soon, it's time for the main event.
"Hey, hey! What do you say? Who do you want to see today?" April says for the cups' introduction.
"Cuppy and Mugsy! We want Cuppy and Mugsy!" The crowd chanted and cheered.
"You want them? You got them! Introducing Cuphead and Mugman!" Gemma says.
The cups appear on stage and start doing "Tootsee Roll" by 69 Boyz. The crowd was on their feet, going wild.
Lucy smiled a bit as she watched Cuphead.
"I LOVE YOU, MUGSY!" One fan screamed.
"GO, CUPPY, GO!" Another fan screamed.
Soon, the cups finished as the fans went nuts.
Aria looked down. She wondered if she'd ever be as popular as them.
As she thought about that, the top 15 teams flashed onto the screen on stage.
Aria closed her eyes until it was over. When it finished, she opened her eyes. To her surprise, all the main teams were still in the show. Including her and Jackson. But she was still nervous.
"Why are you nervous, Aria?" Jackson asked.
"I have no chance." Aria says sadly.
Everyone looks at Aria. Luke took pity on her for a few minutes before leaving.
Luke went to the ice rink alone. No one else was there yet, which was good, considering he wanted time to himself for a little while.
Luke's P.O.V.
I laced up my skates and started a solo skating session. My thoughts turned to how tonight's show went. While I'm grateful to be in the Top 15, I'm sure my number will be up soon enough. But enough about that.
Tonight is about me. But it seems that my daughter was garnering all the attention. All the gifts I see? For her. And the cake Luan made? Also for her. I think I was wrong about this week being about me.
I don't want to hurt my daughter. But right now, I hurt internally. I skate a couple of laps around the rink with my eyes closed, tuning the world out.
The others decorate for Luke's birthday. Aria looked jealous because her first birthday celebration this year got cut short as she only had one cake.
Luna saw the decorations around the rink and she gasped, knowing that they were for Aria. She saw a very broken Luke skating laps around the rink.
Lucy used magic to set up Luke's party. But Lucy also saw Luke was broken.
Chalice was livid with Aria. She couldn't believe Aria would go and do this. Luke ended up leaving the ice rink to be away from everyone at this point.
The others decorate for Luke. They all saw him walking around Baltimore as Luke was expressionless. Luke just stared straight ahead as he walked.
"Luke!" Luan says.
"What?!" Luke hissed.
"We have a surprise for you." Luan says.
Luke heads to the ice rink. There were decorations everywhere. Luke was still a bit emotionless. The banner said "Happy 25th Birthday, Luke!" and was hanging in the middle of the rink.
Luke didn't say anything. He wasn't going to speak right now.
Lucy frowned. This meant they failed. But Luke wasn't mad at his siblings. He was mad at Aria and her friends for messing up his plans.
With Aria, Chalice was telling her and her friends off.
"How could you sabotage your father's party like that?" Chalice says.
"No one wanted to be there for mine! It felt rushed and the first one was scrapped when Daddy left to cry!" Aria says.
"That was not an excuse to sabotage your father's party." Chalice says.
Aria frowned, feeling guilty.
"There were gifts for you and a cake for you. All your father's decorations, gifts, and cake were found in a dumpster when I came to the rink!" Chalice says, upset.
"I thought my family was toxic…" Alem tuber said.
Jackson gave his gift to Luke. Luke opened it to reveal a music box with a dancing figure that looked like a male ballerina, and it danced to a music box version of "For The Longest Time", one of Luke's favorite Billy Joel songs.
Luke smiled a bit. "I love this a lot." He says as he hugs Jackson.
He sees Clover and smiles. She cried, having no gift for him.
"Your presence is my gift from you." Luke gently says to Clover.
He opens Charity's gift, which was a yoga kit he saw at the lululemon store in the mall. Luke loved everything about it as he hugged his mom.
She smiled at Luke.
Luke walks to the rink and begins skating again.
Lucy skated alongside Cuphead. Mugman sighed as he skated alone.
Chalice skated with Luke.
Mugman goes off the rink and sighs.
"Somethin' wrong, Mugsy?" Cuphead asked.
"I thought I'd be happy without Margo here, but…I guess I just miss her." Mugman says.
Soon, Margo came to the party. She smiles at Mugman and they soon skate together.
After a while, Luke sat and opened the gifts from his fans.
While he was doing that, Chalice was confirming the dinner reservations for the entire party. The plan was to skate for at least an hour and a half, then go to the hibachi grill next door for dinner, non-alcoholic drinks, and birthday cake. There wouldn't be a piñata at this party due to the restaurant's "no piñata" policy, but Chalice did plan ahead and would be bringing candy to share with everyone at the party.
Aria was still ashamed of herself for what she did as everyone headed to dinner.
Luke was hungry as everyone sat around the hibachi grill table. Luke was served first, then everyone else was served next. Luke and his guests loved the hibachi grill experience and would do it again if given the opportunity.
They talked, mainly about Luke. Luke then smiled when Chalice distributed the candy.
He got his share and smiled.
Later, Luke waits for his cake, but sees he has to wait a lot longer since Aria threw it in a dumpster before the party began earlier. Luke just goes out to get some air at this point.
Luan worked hard on his cake. She saw how crushed he felt when he found out what happened to it. The siblings looked out the window and saw Luke feeling very upset. They pitied him. So far, his week has been far from perfect.
Luan soon finished with the second cake. "Okay, I'm done." Luan says.
Luke came in, smelling his favorite cake.
"I smell cake…" Luke says. He then starts to think he's not getting his birthday cake.
He sees everyone around the cake Luan made. "Surprise!" They say.
"Oh, wow!" Luke says. It was a number 25-shaped cake with an ice rink theme all over it. Luke smiled at this. There were 25 candles on it, too.
Luke sat on his throne and grinned. Everyone in the restaurant sang to him as he smiled bigger. He then thought of a wish.
He wished for the rest of his week to be better, then drew in a deep breath and blew out all 25 candles in that one single breath. Everyone cheered wildly for Luke as he smiled.
As Luan cuts the cake, Aria walks up to Luke, guilty tears rolling down her face.
"Daddy? I'm really sorry I ruined your party. I was just mad that my first party had to be cut short." Aria says, looking down.
"Honey, I forgive you. But you need to learn to control your feelings better." Luke says.
"I can do that." Aria says.
After the party, everyone dispersed to the hotel to rest. Tomorrow, everyone would head back to Texas.
