Wednesday morning everyone is crowded around the front office cuz a student is inside and is being yelled at by the principal*
Logan: What's going on Nelson? Why is the school news team by Principal Fitzpatrick's door?
Nelson: It's a huge story for them to know who the latest victim is to his anger
Logan: Whose in there this time? Zachary again?
Nelson: No one knows yet. That's why we're all waiting
James: Has anyone seen Carlos? I didn't see him enter the school?
Kendall: Neither did I. He might've gone to his locker to get his notebook for first period
The door opens and everyone gasps*
Logan: He's not by his locker he's right there
James and Kendall's jaws drop in shock*
Carlos: I'm telling you I'm innocent
Principal Fitzpatrick: The evidence given to me puts you at the crime scene
Carlos: I was framed! I didn't do it!
Rebecca the head of the news team signals to her camera crew which is two boys named
Charlie and Max to start filming*
I'm here at Principal Fitzpatrick's office with a shocking report. Carlos Garcia who in my opinion is truly a kind kid has been accused of an awful crime. Carlos would you like to say what it is?
Carlos: I don't even know! Stop filming me!
Runs away panicking*
Rebecca you can't just harass him like that! He's as confused as the rest of us "Kendall says irritated his buddy is in trouble and being unfairly treated"
Rebecca: I'm doing what any good journalist would do. I'm getting all the facts straight from the source. Carlos is a nice kid but how well do you really know him? Is he secretly a baddie?
Logan: Carlos is the sweetest most kind hearted kid I've ever met. Whatever he's being accused of doing is something I know he would never ever do
James: Yeah he's not naughty. He's very respectful
Principal Fitzpatrick: According to Mariah he is very naughty and disrespectful. Please go and find him
The guys run to the bathroom and hear him crying in a stall*
Kendall: Carlos come on out buddy. Principal Fitzpatrick told us to find you
Carlos: So he can punish me for something I didn't do?! No way! Whatever I'm being accused of is a lie! I did nothing wrong! "he says with a shaky and tearful voice"
James: We know that but you have to listen to him
Logan: Unfortunately that's true in this situation
Carlos slowly walks out and returns to the principal's office*
Principal Fitzpatrick: Mariah said you stole her art project then destroyed it and left a mess in the art room
Carlos: Why would I do that?! I'm not a mean kid! Mariah I thought we were friends!
Mariah: Not anymore you selfish jerk!
Carlos: But this can't be true! You know all I did was praise you on your art work. Why would I want to ruin it?
Mariah: Jealousy
Carlos: I'm not jealous of you!
Mariah: You're also a liar!
Carlos: Am not! Someone set me up! They're the real culprit not me! You should be at whoever really did this!
Principal Fitzpatrick: Enough both of you. Carlos you are the main culprit in this. Mariah came to me with an overwhelming mountain of evidence that puts you and only you at the crime scene. I have no choice but to suspend you and take you out of the hockey game on Friday
eyes go wide* Carlos: What?! No! That's not fair! I didn't do it! I swear on my life! I didn't! Ask my friends! They'll vouch for me!
Mariah: There's several witnesses who said they saw YOU do it! Just admit it already!
Carlos: No! I'm not guilty!
Principal Fitzpatrick: Clean out your locker and wait for your dad to come pick you up Carlos
sighs* Carlos: Yes sir *walks out and does as told*
Kendall: What just happened?
Carlos: I've been suspended. There's a lot of evidence of me destroying Mariah's art project. So now I can't even play in the hockey game on Friday with you guys. Kendall since you're the team capital you'll have no problem someone else to be goalie
Logan: No one is as good as you with how accurate you are with your blocks
James: We'll lose the game without you
Carlos: I'm really sorry guys. There's nothing I can do. That's why I officially am quitting the team. I'm no use if I'm a criminal. I'm a bad kid *closes his locker door* I gotta go guys *Returns to the office. His dad arrives 10 minutes later furious with how his son is being treated*
Officer Garcia: You're gonna just take the word of one student to determine my son's guilt or innocence?! I'm appalled and will be going to the school board about this! Come on mijo. We're going home *Angrily leaves with him*
Later that afternoon*
Kendall: Ok here's the plan. We're gonna solve this mystery before the big game on Friday. Carlos has GOT to play in it. He loves being a goalie. We all saw he felt. He's heartbroken. We need to find these so called "witnesses"
Logan: If this was a Scooby-Doo episode Freddy would say "Well gang looks like we have a mystery on our hands!"
Kendall: We can be just like them. We'll be detectives
Logan: I got a Crime Catchers Spy Science Kit from my uncle after getting an A on a really hard math test. We can use that to figure out what really happened
James: But it's just a toy
Logan: It's more than just a toy. It's a learning experience
They go to his house to get it then return to the school cuz some students are doing extracurricular activities*
Kendall: I got the name of the witnesses from Principal Fitzpatrick. He said we can try to solve the musket but we might not get the results we want
Logan: Who are they?
Kendall: Justin, Xavier, Mason and Peter
James: Are they even here?
Logan: Yeah. I'm in the same advanced math class as Xavier and Mason
Kendall: Let's spilt up. You talk to them. James and I will talk to Justin and Peter. Carlos doesn't deserve any of this stress on him. He's so depressed right. We're gonna help our brother out as long as it takes
They put their plan into action*
Logan goes to the advanced math classroom*
Xavier and Mason. I need to ask you some questions about the incident with Mariah's destroyed art project. Principal Fitzpatrick told me you two claimed to be witnesses. What exactly did you see that makes Carlos the culprit?
Xavier: I saw him staring at it for a long time. Like he was scheming
Mason: Me too. He even said "I'm gonna take it"
Logan: That doesn't sound something he would do. We all know he's the sweetest kid in school. Scheming? Really? Something isn't right here. You guys aren't lying to me are you? He's really sad that he was suspended and unable to play in the hockey game on Friday
Xavier: We're not lying
Mason: It's all true
sighs* Logan: Ok. Thanks guys *Leaves the room*
In the gym*
Kendall: Justin and Peter please tell us what you know about the incident
Peter: At 3:30 someone came into the art room
Justin: That someone had a hockey helmet on
Peter and Justin: It was Carlos
James: You're gonna have to give us more proof than that
Kendall: Yeah he's right. Tell us more
Peter: The school's hockey jersey was worn by the culprit. The back of it said Garcia
Justin: And a corn dog aroma came from the area the art project was in
Kendall: Oh no that DOES sound like Carlos
James: But it couldn't of been him. That's not him. It just can't be. Could it?
Kendall: I don't wanna believe it
They go to the school library cuz Logan told them to meet him there. The share the details of their interrogations*
Logan: Let's go back to the scene of the crime
They go the art room*
James: Peter and Justin were right. There's a hockey helmet and Carlos' jersey on the floor and this whole area smells like corn dogs
Logan: Xavier and Mason said he was scheming to take the art project. That makes no sense
Kendall: We gotta talk to Carlos *Dials his number and puts him on speaker*
Carlos: Guys did you prove my innocence yet?
Logan: Not yet we're still trying
Kendall: Peter told us this all started at 3:30 this afternoon and that's the time you came in the room
Carlos: That's wrong. I wasn't in the art room at 3:30. I was in the social studies room. Mr. Harrington was helping me make flash cards for an assignment to help me study. He can vouch for me. I never ever went in the art room. The social studies room is on the other side of the hall. I wouldn't even have to pass it
Logan: That's true. But your helmet and jersey are in the art room and it smells like corn dogs in here
Carlos: Which means whoever did this must know me very well. I keep my hockey stuff in the locker room just like you guys. Someone must've broke into my locker to frame me
James: When we find out who did this they're gonna pay so hard they'll never have enough tuition to get into college!
Kendall: James calm down. We'll figure this out
Carlos: I can't think of who would want to do this to me. I try my best not make anyone mad. I try to be a friend to everyone
Kendall: We know. And we believe 100% that you're innocent
Carlos: I can't show my face at school again after this suspension is over. Everyone will hate me. I don't want that
James: We won't let that happen
Carlos: Good luck guys *Hangs up sighing sadly*
