The next morning Din walked into the main area, Luke wasn't there like he usually was. Din sighed heading into the kitchen the memories from last night running threw his head. A few minutes later the door opened. Luke walked into the room.

Oh, you're up early. Luke said walking into the kitchen. Din glanced at Luke, he looked disheveled.

Are you alright? Din asked.

Yes, I'm fine. Luke replied avoiding eye contact.

Did you sleep? Din asked moving around the kitchen.

Yes. Luke replied leaning against the table. Din watched him carefully.

How's your pain today? Din asked as he placed plates on the table.

It's better today, thank you. Luke said. I feel like I owe you an explanation for last night. Luke said rubbing his wrist.

You don't have to. Din said.

No, I…I think I want to. Luke said sitting. Din sat across from him. Luke took a shaky breath. I um… Luke trailed off glancing outside. As you probably figured out I'm not fond of storms. Luke said after a minute. I didn't grow up with storms. and there's something else I'd rather not talk about…but I know I should.

You don't have to. Din said.

I know. Luke replied his eyes locking onto Dins threw his helmet. Luke rubbed his wrist harder. Din glanced at Luke's wrist.

Tell me where you grew up. Din said.

I grew up on Tatooine. Luke replied.

I'm familiar. Din said. Luke smiled slightly. Where at? Din asked.

Just outside of Anchor head, I lived on a moisture farm with my Aunt and Uncle. Luke looked to the side, tears glistening in his eyes. They raised me. Luke finally said. Luke cleared his throat. The other reason I don't like storms is because of something that happened during the war…it happened during the battle on Endor. I went to confront Vader, it didn't go as planned. The emperor tried to kill me using force lightning. My Father stopped him, but I have scars. Luke said pulling up his sleeve revealing the scars.

Din stared at the scars, it looked like jagged tree branches. Din reached out gently touching one. Luke flinched. Din started to pull away.

It's fine. Luke said quietly.

I didn't know someone could do that with the force. Din said examining the scars.

The Sith use it, a Sith is someone who uses the force for evil. Luke replied. Din sighed sadly pulling his hand away.

How far do they go? Din asked.

All over. Luke admitted quietly starting to rub his wrist. Din frowned realizing Luke rubbed his wrist when he was nervous. I hide some of them. Luke said.

Din tilted his head. Really?

Luke nodded. Luke hesitated then rubbed his sleeve over his face revealing a scar that trailed up his right cheek. Luke looked down tears in his eyes. Din reached out gently grasping Luke's chin and tilting his face up. Din touched the scar, tracing it gently.

Why do you hide it? Din asked.

I don't like to look at it or explain it to others. Din sighed sadly, releasing Luke's face.

Luke, the scar is nothing to be ashamed of. Din said. Luke looked down, his hands fidgeting nervously. Luke, it's part of you, it's part of your story. It is not something to be ashamed of.

Luke glanced up at Din. Han told me the same thing. Luke said.

Well, he was right. Din said. Luke took a deep breath.

Then maybe I should listen. He finally said smiling sadly. A silence fell over them.

A few minutes later Luke stood up Din did as well.

I should get Grogu. Din said. Luke nodded.

Din went into his room. He smiled when he saw Grogu. Good morning little one. He said, picking him up. Grogu made happy noises at him. Din chuckled softly. Let's go get some breakfast. Din said heading into the living quarters.

As Din walked in his eyes locked with Luke's. Luke's scar was still visible and yet, Luke looked less broken then before. Grogu suddenly started wiggling. Din set him down. Grogu ran over to Luke who picked him up chuckling softly. Din watched them a happy feeling settle in him, He was Home.

Anakin watched from outside the house smiling, Luke was going to be okay.
