Ren struggled to hold onto Nora's head as a small army of Maids (Plus the Arc Matriarch) were busy scrubbing her clean. Warm water and scented soaps were splashed and scrubbed into the dirt and grime of her pink and white scales. Bowls and towels left on the ground after being filled and dirtied. Off to the side Sebastian and the Arc children were watching with curiosity.

Finally the maids (And Juniper Arc) stepped away and let Ren lead Nora out of the large wash basin they had used. Nora's head darted around, looking at her now cleaned form. She turned back to Ren and made a happy sound, almost like a cat purring but more gutural. She tackled the young man to the ground and nuzzled his chest.

"See, she just needed some preening." Ren heard Juniper comment to her husband. Sebastian just shook his head before approaching them. "Now kids, Walter is just putting the finishing touches on his gift, just follow me and I'll show you." he said while kneeling down to level with them. Nora just happily trotted after him, pulling Ren by the sleeve. The Arc children followed them from a distance, content to watch.

They followed Sebastian through the halls of Arc Manor, before he led them to a large door. "Walter spent all day renovating the room for you two, hope you like it." Was all the Arc Patriarch said before he opened the door and gestured for them to enter. Nora ran in, curious to see her new room as Ren managed to gain some form of footing.

The room itself was spacious, designed so that Nora could still use it even as she grew larger. Ren could see Walter off to the side, tapping his hand against the wall overlooking the Manor Courtyard. Ren approached, acknowledging the wink Walter gave him, and pushed against the wall. The sound of gears echoed out as the wall parted, half the wall now acting as an open air pateo. Ren could look down at the courtyard and Nora could fly around here for hours if she wanted to.

Ren gave Nora another look, a smile reaching his face as she excitedly settled in. He turned to the Arcs; "Thank you. Thank You for all of this." he let out. "Its nothing kid, least we could do for the two of you after all you went through." Sebastian said before Juniper elbowed him in the side. "Ah, one last thing." Sebastian said before pulling out a wooden box. "I have a friend who knew Thor better than I did, he wanted you to have these." Sebastian said as he handed Ren the box.

Ren looked down at the box, quickly finding the latch and resting his hand on it. "Should I?" he asked. "If you want, what's in the box is yours now." Sebastian responded. Cautiously he opened the box and peered inside. Quickly he shut it, closing the latch. "Thank you, I don't know how I can repay you." Ren said. "Don't worry about it kid." Sebastian said before they heard a crash.

The two of them turned to see that Nora had knocked down one of the tables and was in the process of setting up a large nest for herself.

Jaune sighed, his head resting in the open book. Ever since he had reached level five and unlocked the Skill: Demonic Magic (1) his mother was having him study forms of spell casting. Her own words were; "My little boy should know what kind of spells he can cast before he tries something and gets himself killed." a bit over protective, but well intentioned. So here he was, spending his time after dinner, face flopped in magic tomes and records.

One of the maids was watching over him, calmly watching as he failed once more. Jaune groaned as he turned the page and began skimming over the details inside. Knowing that there was nothing else for him to do he began to read aloud. "Support Magic is the most overlooked of the three aspects of Magic. Most novice mages will immediately aim for Elemental or Summoning Magic without understanding the importance of Support Magic. Support Magic allows the user too temporarily alter the stats of both themselves and others, heal injuries, invoke effects such as poisoning or paralysis, even boost the recovery rate of Mp. These are just some of the abilities that can be gained by using Support Magic." Jaune paused before leaning back.

He had tried using Elemental Magic, a Conjure Lesser Earth (simple) spell, only succeeding in leaving a mess of earth in the middle of his room. He tried Summoning Magic, a "Summon Lesser Servant (simple) spell, all he got was a larger than average fly. His Mother kept pushing him, advising him on keep on trying. Support Magic was the only type he hadn't yet tried to cast. The book was right of course, he had tried the other two Types and failed so now he's trying this one.

Deftly he stood up from the desk and held the open page of spells. "Lesser Attack Boost (simple)." he said, his Mp slowly draining on his statust menu. He looked across his status menu, seeing that his Attack stat had jumped from 17 too 21. With barely contained glee he jumped up high and cheered. The Maid gave him steady applause while smiling. "I did it, I DID IT!!" he shouted while smiling. No chaos, no horrid failure, no mess that had to be cleaned up, just a simple spell that didn't use up much Mp and only did one thing.

He heard footsteps approaching before the door to his room was opened. His mother walked in, a smile on her face as she kneeled down to face him. "Can I see your first spell?" She asked. Jaune smiled before concentrating on his Magic Tome. "Lesser Attack Boost (simple)." he cast the spell on his mother. Her smile turned giddy before she hugged him tightly. "Oh, my little knight. Your first successful spell. I can't wait to see how far you go. Now we just need a proper tutor for you." His mother said while picking him up.

Jaune nodded as she put hin down. "Now lets see what other spells you can cast." his mother said. Jaune held the book up and began reading through the spells of the Support Type.

He had a long night ahead of him.

Jaune held his stance as he trained for the day. Across from him was one of the Butlers, a wooden sword in his hand. His Father and Sisters watched from the side as a row of butlers stood on the other side of the courtyard. Today was a sparing day, he had already watched his older sisters fight against the butlers, now it was his turn.

He took a quickl glance at his stats before he held his wooden sword in both hands.

He had grown a bit, but not by much. My father gave the signal to begin, Jaune quickly altered his footing as the Butler lunfed forward. He raised his wooden sword to deflect the blow. His arms rattled from the force as the Butler continues his offensive. Any attempt to counter or deflect left his arms sore and rattled. Jaune pushed his left left back and aimed to strike with the end of his sword.

The Butler swiftly dodged, jumping back before striking his wrist with the side of the wooden sword. Jaune yelped before gritting his teeth and readjusting his stance. "Lesser Speed Boost (simple)." Jaune quickly muttered out as the Butler poised for another strike. The change wasn't much, only pushing my speed from 18 too 22, but ever little thing can help.

Jaune stepped back as the Butler began his assault with strike after strike with the end of his Wooden Sword. Jaune deflected each blow, even as they wore down his arms. "Lesser Defense Boost (simple)." Jaune muttered quickly in desperation as the Butler struck again. He brought his wooden sword up to block, being pushed back from the force of the strike. "Lesser Defense Boost (simple)." Jaune muttered again before the Butler struck his brow.

Jaune tried to stand before he felt the wooden sword press against his neck. "Fight over, victory goes to Randalph." he heard his father announce as the aforementioned Butler took the wooden sword away from his neck. "Dang It." Jaune said as Randalph helped him to his feet. "You did fine Young Master, you still have much to learn." Randalph said before he joined the line of Butlers.

His father walked over too him and had him join his sisters. "Now, can you tell me where you went wrong?" he asked Jaune. "Uh... My footing was off and I played too defensively?" Jaune took a shot in the dark. "No, your footing was fine and defensively was the way you had to fight. What went wrong was your timing and that third spell." His father proclaimed. "Really?" Jaune inquired. "Yes, your timing can be fixed with more training but it was that pause you had while casting your third spell that cost you the duel." His father explained.

Jaune nodded as his father stood up. "Now, let's start again. Saphron against Reginald." His father said as Saphron stepped forward in cinque with the lead Butler. Jaune watched as Saphron pulled out a wooden sword while the Butler did the same.

"Commence!" His father shouted.

"Are you sure this will work?" Ren inquired as he looked into the cooking stove. "Of Course it will." Jaune retorted as he crossed his arms. He had a plan, the best plan yet. Short bread dough, well pureed sauce made from something resembling a tomato, a mix of shredded cheese, and plain spiced meats. All combined with the Culinary skills of himself, Ren, and the kitchen staff.

All for Pizza.

Both boys watched as the discs of deliciousness cooked. Jaune didn't even need his Demonic Senses skill to know that it was going to taste good. Jaune pulled the stove's door open and let the scent of goodness invade his nose. Ren seemed equally entranced as two of the Maids approached and pulled the pizzas out of the stove. Another came by with a large knife and looked to Jaune. Jaune looked down at the pizza before making a quick calculation. "Eight pieces, each." he answered.

The maid's knifework split the pizzas easily, letting them cool quicker before one of the staff handed them plates. "We'll bring some to your Parents and Sisters Young Master." one of the maids said as she and two others carried pizza filled plates out of the kitchen. "I'll take a few pieces to Miss Nora." Another maid said as she took two plates filled with pizza out of the kitchen.

Jaune looked at Ren, Ren looked back. Both raised their respective pieces too their mouths and took a bite.

And quickly regretted it since they were still hot.

"Ah..." Ren exclaimed as he put the pizza slice back on his plate. Jaune didn't stop, not letting the burning of his mouth stop him from enjoying his first slice of pizza in years. Tears flowed down his cheeks as he finished his first slice. "Juice please?" he asked one of the maids as he kept his mouth open so that air could cool it. The Maid arrived with juice which Jaune used to wash down the rest of his slice. Ren gave him a blank look before taking another bite.

Though judging by the smile on his face he was enjoying it as well.

"JAUNE!!" the sound of his father shouting caught his attention. Jaune turned as Sebastian Arc walked into the kitchen with a half finished slice of pizza in his hand. He stopped, looking at the remaining slices of pizza left on the stove top.

"Where did you get the idea for this?" his father asked. Jaune looked around the room for a second. "Uh, thought it up while looking at pies. Ren and the staff helped me make it correctly." he answered with a half truth. His father turned to the staff; "Did any of you write down the recipe?" he asked. The maids looked between one another before their eyes widened in realization. One of them shook their head as his father frowned. "Well write it down, this stuff is good." his father instructed before taking another bite of his slice.

After he finished his piece he turned to Jaune. "Now son, I have a good question for you. Can you show your mother how it was made?" his father asked. Jaune looked him in the eyes for a second, then he nodded. His father laughed before giving him a hard pat on the shoulder. "She'll be ecstatic over this. Her own son making a whole new dish before he's even ten years old." his father mused. Jaune chuckled before one of the Maids approached the two with a piece of paper. "Put it with the other recipes." His father instructed before Jaune walked to the maid. She flipped the page to show him, revealing the exact recipe he had shown them, even with his own name being used for crediting.

The maid did as instructed, going over to a large book with what appeared to be fingers in the spine. The recipe joining who knows how many others in the large book. Jaune stood there for a second, basking in the air of his success.

Until the door to the kitchen burst open, Nora standing in the door frame with her head angled like a battering Ram. Her eyes scanning the place before they landed on the remaining slices pizza. "Nora?" Ren said with concern before she rushed in.

At least he got to try one slice.
