"Are you sure the book said to use two owls for this spell to work? Because we have tried it for over an hour now and nothing has happened so far." Jack was growing a little impatient. Hamish was as well, but he didn't show. Of course he would rather be at Veras right now, especially since she had something to tell him. But he couldn't afford to leave his pack now.

"I think we all have eyes. We can see ourselves that nothing has happened yet." Randall snapped back at Jack. This was definitely not going to end well. Hamish knew they should have waited for Vera to come up with a way to get Lilith back. He knew they couldn't do this without her and quite frankly, he did not want to think about the disasters that could possibly happen from them meddling with magic they knew nothing about.

But just when he was about to step between the two younger men, who looked like they were about to jump each others throats, his senses reacted to something. "Hold up, you hear that?" At first it seemed like they were completely ignoring him, but then they stopped as well. "Oh shit, it's her." Yes, the clacking of her heels he would recognize anywhere. He quickly moved to the front door and opened before she had a chance to knock. And while he was keeping her busy at the door, the others tried to hide the evidence of their failed ritual.

"I need to speak with you. All of you actually." Keeping her busy was not working as planned, as she just pushed him out of the way and walked right past him. So apparently she was not here because of him. Whatever she wanted from him earlier must have been important.

Luckily Nicole had managed to get the bloody bowl into the kitchen, so the only thing Vera saw when joining the others was a closed locker and a bunch of ropes lying around. She didn't give it too much thought, since her mind was fixed on something completely else.

"I need you to do something for me." They all just stared at her, hoping they wouldn't get caught. "It is something very important and very secret. I know, subtlety is not exactly your expertise, but right now you are the only ones I can trust with this." With those words said she earned herself a couple of surprised gazed and a scoff from a certain immature wolf. "Yes Mr. Caprio, I can barely believe myself that I just said this, but I don't know how much time we have so... let me explain."

Trying to keep any attention from the kittchen they moved into the living room, motioning Vera to join them as well and as everybody took a seat, she started explaining. "Something is happening. It has been for quite a while now. But I have only found out about it recently. Something is going to happen. I don't know when, I don't know where and to be honest I don't even know what exactly it is." Again she was showered in confused looks. To be fair she was rambling a bit, not really getting to the point as she usually would. No usually she would be the one stopping others and demanding them to get to the point.

"Apparently there is some kind of prophecy about two sisters who shall bring suffering and pain and stuff like that." To her left Jack scoffed. "A Prophecy? Really? Is that going to be a joke again like back with Prometheus." She sent him a glare to shut him up, but it was too late. "Hold up, she made a joke? And I wasn't there to witness? No way, I don't believe that she can joke." Of course Randall had to make a comment like that, which earned him a glare as well. "No, this is not a joke. This is... Well, I don't exactly know what it is. All I know is that the council has known about it for years and they kept me in the dark on purpose." For a second she thought about how much she was going to tell them. But she needed them to work with her so...

"Apparently they think that it has something to do with me because the prophecy appeared the moment I became Temple Magus." She could see the worry in Hamish's eyes but tried to assure him with a look, that she was ok. "I need you to do some research. Find out whatever you can on dreams in combination with magic. Also reincarnation." The pack tried to think about what she could possibly want with these information, so they just kept quiet, waiting for her to continue.

"Also I need you to check the knights journals. See if they have written down anything about two sisters and some kind of disaster that came with them." For a moment her eyes roamed over to the bar. Oh she could definitely use a drink right now. But she couldn't possibly ask for one. Hamish would never let her. "Why the journals? Why do you think the knights have anything to do with this?" She had to admit, it was a legit question. But there also was a legit answer to it. "Because, Mr. Morton, I am sure that the council has already had plenty of time to check every book they know about for anything regarding those mysterious sisters. Every book except the ones not in their possession. And the knights have been around for quite a while so..."

It made sense, they had to admit. "Hold up." Randall decided to chime in. "Let me get this straight. You are planing something. You want to go behind the councils back and you are willing to conspire against them with us? Like you did against Edward?" He was sure that there was more. Vera Stone wouldn't just decide to suddenly work with the knights. Sure, she did cover for them numerous times. But she always did so for selfish reasons. She was just using them, as she always did.

"I am not planing anything... yet. And I am not conspiring. I am merely looking for information. And since they kept me in the dark for so long, I doubt they will tell me everything now. I will try to find out as much as I can on my own, But you do have those journals and I don't."

Couldn't they just say they would do it? Stupid wolves. She didn't ask too much of them, did she? "Ok, we'll do it." Surprisingly that sentence came out of Randalls mouth and now he was the center of attention, receiving confused looks. "Under one condition." Of course. He wouldn't do anything for her, for free. "You're helping us get Lilith back, right now." For a moment she could do nothing more than stare at him.

"Randall, no. I am sure she has a lot of other things to do right now." It was Hamish who spoke for her, trying to protect her again. "Oh please, stop protecting your girlfriend and make her help us instead. She promised us to get Lilith back as soon as the thing with Praxis was over. It already is. We haven't heard from Praxis in weeks. And what has she done so far? Nothing. And Lilith is still trapped. in the demon realm. Jesus, I'm starting to think that I am the only one here who actually wants to bring her back." His voice has gotten louder and louder until he was finally yelling that last part.

"You have tried something." It finally hit her. "You tried to bring her back without me. What have you done?" How could she have been so stupid to think, they would wait for her to be ready? But especially now without her magic, there was very little she could do.

"Yes we did, but it didn't work. Nothing happened."He admitted and for a moment relief washed over her. If nothing happened that could mean that nothing bad had happened either. "Which spell did you try?" Nicole who had been observing everything quietly till now was suddenly moving, to get a book. When she returned she flipped the pages to find a certain spell and then showed it to Vera. "Oh, that one. It couldn't possibly work." Randall scoffed, not believing what he heard.

"It is an excellent spell to get a person from another place to this one, but it won't do in terms of different realms. Especially the demon realm. To break through to the demon realm with this spell, you wouldn't need owl blood. What you would need is-" Was she really going to tell them? What if they were going to try it. Who would they be willing to kill for it? "What? What would we need?" But now she had started it and couldn't back down. "You would have to sacrifice a powerful witch. Somebody whose blood is enriched with magic." She could see realization rising in Randalls eyes. He was definitely getting some ideas now, there was no stopping it. "But I do know another way to get her back. One that would not need a person to die."

Were they going to listen to her? And even if they were, how could she possibly get Lilith back? She would require her magic. Sure, that specific ritual was possible without her, but she doubted the magic in those wolves was yet strong enough. This was all so messed up. If only Alyssa Drake hadn't screwed her over so badly.

"Alright, then what are we waiting for? Apparently Nicole and Randall were on the same page regarding Lilith. They both wanted her back desperately enough to not be able to wait any longer. What was she going to do now? There was no way they could bring back Lilith now. But she couldn't tell them about her lost magic. If she did, then there was no way she could keep controlling them the way she did so far. She was nothing more than an ordinary woman, no threat to anybody. Her glare was probably the only weapon she had left.

Vera was trapped and there was no way of getting out of this.

Meanwhile in a place much darker:

How long had she been here? Days? Weeks? Years? Time was an illusion down here. There were no days or nights, no need to sleep. Everybody was awake all the time. Or was she really awake? Maybe it was just a dream. Maybe she was sleeping, not able to wake up. But no, the pain she felt whenever one of those creatures attacked her with no reason was a real. And the pain she caused them, showing them she was stronger than they thought, well it was real as well. What she didn't know though, somebody was watching her. They had their eyes on her from the moment she had entered this realm and they weren't going anywhere, constantly following her wherever she went.

After an exhilarating bar fight she decided to go back home. Home... what a word. Was this really her home now? She had been here for so long, that she barely even thought about the other world anymore. The place she originally came from seemed so far away. She barely even recognized herself anymore, whenever she looked into a mirror. There was a sigil forming above her eye.

Once upon a time she would not have been able to recognize it, know what it meant. But now she could read it. She could read all of the sigils on every demon in this place. They were their names. Names that fit the powers they possessed. Names to show the others wether they were worthy opponents or not. And her new name? Well, she wasn't yet sure wether to be proud of it or try to get rid of it. After all, she felt like it should have been her choice. She should have been able to choose wether to accept that fate or not. But then again, didn't she do exactly that the moment she decided to face Rogwan?

Well, how she felt about it didn't matter anyways. Her fate was sealed, that's why it was called fate. She couldn't outrun it or fight it, punch her way out of this place. In a way, she was broken. Not that she ever would admit it to anyone but herself. One day he would return to this place and then she was his.

Walking down the streets she couldn't help but eye her surroundings. This was the demon realm. Yet it looked like just another city. Well, a very dark city without sunlight, but a city nonetheless. There were bars to get drunk on some awful drinks. There were parks and houses and forests. Very dark and creepy forests. Well, at least she called them forests because those things surely didn't resemble any trees she knew of.

Lilith was just about to enter the house she had come to call her new home, when someone grabbed her arm. She wanted to throw that creature to the ground, make them pay for touching her, but the moment she turned around Lilith froze. In front of her was a young woman. She had long red hair and black eyes, wearing a white dress and no sigil visible on her. She definitely did not look like she belonged in this place. Lilith herself wasn't sure sometimes if she belonged here, but with time she had gotten used to it.

But this woman looked scared and innocent. "Take me with you." She whispered and Lilith didn't quite understood. "I don't know where you think I am going, but I am certainly not taking you with me." The woman was grabbing her arm again, this time with both her hands. "Listen, I am going home now. In this place here it is everybody for themselves. I am certainly not taking a stranger, who could be dangerous, in my house." The woman didn't loosen her grip. Instead she spoke again, this time her words louder than before. "No, that's not what I mean. They are coming for you, your friends. They will get you out of here. Please take me with you when they come. I just... I want to see my sister again."

Her friends? Which friends was this woman talking about? Lilith couldn't remember having any friends. There was only this place and... No, memories came crushing in, claiming her mind in waves. Her friends, Randall, Jack, Hamish and... Nicole. How could she have forgotten them? How could she ever have started calling this place here her home? Her home was with her pack, in her den. That was where she belonged and where she had to return.

And if what this woman said was true, then they were coming for her. They were going to save her from this place. She just had to hold on a little longer. She had to hold on to her memories. Her name was Lilith, not that stupid sigil on her eye. She was a champion, a knight.

"Please say you'll take me with you, Lilith." Her mind shot back to the woman. "You know my name? But how..." She seemed to know an awful lot. How could she possibly know about her friends? Or her name. "I just want to see my sister again. She needs to know." Lilith understood. She her self knew what it was like, missing the ones she loved. "Know what? She asked, her question merely a whisper.

"She needs to know that the curse is not broken. It's not over yet. But I know what we have to do. She needs to know. I have to tell her."

What curse? Who was this woman and who was her sister? Lilith didn't understand what was going on here, but in this moment she made herself a promise. If what the woman said was true and her pack was coming for her, then she would do whatever she could to help this stranger. "Alright, I'll help you. But only if you tell me your name." It was a bold request, Lilith knew that. Names were an equivalent to power in this place. You could never trust anyone with your real name. But this person knew hers, so it was only fair to even the playing field.

"You can call me Bee, that's what Ginger always called me." Bee? strange name, but for now it would have to do. And who was Ginger? Was that her sister? "You know what, Bee, why don't you come inside. In there we can talk a little more freely. You never know who's watching out here." And with that the two of them disappeared into the house and out of sight of the hidden observer. But he would wait. He would wait right there, continuing to watch as soon as they came out again.
