When Christopher is fully awake and able to talk, Carlisle and Esme hand him a towel to dry himself off and gives him a change of clothes. After he is done in the bathroom he comes out to his parents sitting down and Christopher saw how they went from being worried to frustrated with him.
Christopher sits on his bed, waiting for them to talk.
After a few minutes Carlisle breaks the silence.
'How long Christopher?'
'How long what?'
Christopher asks, pretending not to know anything but Carlisle and Esme weren't dumb.
'Christopher you were on something. You were high. We could barley wake you and your eyes proved everything. It's much better for you if you start telling us the truth.'
Christopher knew he had to tell them the truth since he was caught and he couldn't hide it anymore but he also didn't want them to stop him which they will.
'How long Christopher?'
Carlisle asks again more sternly.
'Just a month, maybe two months.' Carlisle and Esme both were very shocked this was going on for this long and they didn't notice until now. They noticed something was wrong with him but they never guessed there son turned to drugs to help with what he had going on.
Carlisle being a doctor has seen these before in patients so he was no stranger to drug addiction but it was different when it was his own child.
Carlisle takes a deep breath to calm himself. He was feeling a lot of different emotions right now and he needed to be calm for his son right now.
'Why would you do this son? You could have came to your mother and I, even your siblings if you didn't feel comfortable talking to us.'
'Dad I know that. I just got caught up in it and I didn't know it was becoming a problem.'
Christopher knew it was a problem after 2 weeks of it but he didn't want to go to anyone and risk them making him stop since he didn't want to stop this but he knew it will happen. His parents and his siblings will see to it that it will stop.
Carlisle runs a hand through his hair out of frustration and being worried for his son. Esme was trying to take everything in but she was very concerned and worried about her young son. She wanted to just give him a big and tight hug and be there for him but Christopher didn't want any of that. They didn't know why he changed but now they know why he did and what the cause of it was.
'I know you two are going to try to stop this all but I should just tell you right now I'm not going to stop. They help me a lot and I can't give it all up not right now. Those pills don't do too much damage to me because of my half vampire side.'
This frustrates Carlisle and Esme even more. They knew it wasn't going to be easy.
'This is going to stop Christopher. We don't care what you want at this moment. This will stop. You might not think it's not doing too much damage to you but it can with your half human side. If your mother and I didn't find you when we did, there is no telling of what could have happened to you.'
Carlisle gets up and puts his hand out in front of Christopher and Christopher rolls his eyes at his father.
'Give them to me Christopher.'
'I don't have anything on me.'
Carlisle turns to Esme and he sighs in even more frustration since he knew he was lying. Both of them knew he was lying.
'Christopher, honey, we know you have them on you. Listen to your father and give them to him.'
Christopher was lying but he didn't want to give the last of his pills to them. He didn't even want to finish this conversation with them. He knew it was stupid to try but Christopher uses his vampire speed to try to run out the front door. Before he could even get out the front door, Carlisle blocks it and blocks him from trying to leave.
'You can't force me to stay here or stop me.'
'We are trying to help you son.'
'I don't need help. I just need you to get out of my way.'
Christopher gets in Carlisle's face while he says that. Carlisle knew it was just the drugs making him like this but it was very scary to Carlisle and Esme to see him like this.
'Christopher I know you don't see it but you need help.'
Christopher was getting more frustrated with his parents. He didn't want to talk anymore. He didn't want help, he didn't want to stop. He just wanted another pill and forget any of this is happening.
Christopher uses the strength he has and tries to push his father out of the way but Carlisle turns him around and holds his arms behind his back but Christopher tries to get out of his grip.
Carlisle decides to go into Christopher's pocket to find the pills and when he does it makes Christopher even more upset.
'You can't do this. Please dad, don't take them from me.'
Esme sees how upset her troubled son was and she tries to talk to him and calm him down. It was painful to Esme to watch her son in this type of state.
'Chris, we are not doing this to hurt you. You can't keep hurting yourself like this. We don't want this for you sweetie. All we want to do is help you.'
Christopher starts getting tears in his eyes and stops struggling in his dad's arms. He knew everything was doing was wrong but he couldn't stop himself. When Carlisle blocked him from leaving all he wanted to do was hurt his dad but he really didn't want to, he just had the strong urge to hurt him.
Christopher starts crying and falls to the ground. Carlisle let's his arms go at this point and Esme runs to be by her sons side. She holds him in her arms and Christopher was letting it happen. He cries uncontrollably at this point and felt like he couldn't breathe. He holds tight onto Esme and keeps apologizing to his parents.
'Don't worry sweetie. Your father and I are here and we will help you get through this. Take deep breaths and calm down.'
Christopher nods his head in understanding at Esme. It takes almost 15 minutes for Christopher to calm down but when he finally does he ends up falling asleep in Esme's arms. Esme takes her hand and wipes his dry tears away and moves some hair out of his face. Looking at her son she couldn't hold back the tears that was started to fall from her eyes. If she knew sooner how much pain Christopher was really in, she could have tried to prevent this from happening.
'Carlisle, our baby boy is in so much pain. How did we let this all get pass us like this? We always know when our children aren't okay or up to no good, how didn't we not notice any of it with him?'
Esme questions through the tears and frustration. Carlisle puts a comforting hand on his wife's shoulder and shakes his head at her.
'We can not blame ourselves love. You know how Christopher is. He is stubborn and hard headed. He wanted to handle things on his own and he believed he could. That's just how our young son always has been but Esme..'
When Carlisle trails off, Esme looks in Carlisle's eyes while he counties.
'We will help him beat this all. No matter what we have to do, no matter how long it takes we will help him and get him better.'
Esme nods her head at Carlisle and holds and squeezes Carlisle's hand. They both knew it was going to be a long road ahead of them with helping Christopher get better but they were determined to get Christopher better again.
