After the game, Arthur noticed that Merlin was stumbling some, which meant the mead was affecting him. Normally, he'd let him suffer, but he didn't want Merlin tripping on the stairs, so he and Percival helped him to his chambers.
In the chambers, Merlin tripped over a stool. So, they helped him up to his bed. Suddenly a blob went flying straight for Merlin. Arthur grabbed a broom and whacked it.
Gaius rushed in, "What was that?"
"I don't know," Merlin replied, shocked.
Arthur poked it, saying, "Well, I think it's dead."
