Just hanging around, for you to show up

Echo is waiting patiently he's good at that.

Fives, is late he usually is.

Even with his current, existence, the Arc Trooper never seems to manage to get anywhere in time.

Not that time really matters, to Fives at least. Being a ghost, does have its perks and time being on their side is certainly one of them!

But today, Echo isn't as happy about Fives being delayed, his patience certainly running thin.

Why?

Well, you see, today, is a very special day for Echo, not that is should really matter. But it does and so, he is getting impatient. Grumpy. More than his usual.

Echo had looked forward in spending time with Fives, a rarity these days it seemed, as the two had their responsibilities. Yes. Even after death beings still had theirs, as did Fives. It was all part of the deal. The Force ghost status and all that.

Still, Fives had never been good at tome management while flesh and blood. And Echo should have known better.

Still, this was Echo's special day.

So, he keeps on sitting, somewhat patiently. Gritting his teeth, rolling his scomp, whatever other nervous tick their just might be for him to do to pass the time. As Echo was starting to become everything but fine, in this, waiting, wasting his own time.

Echo must've fallen asleep at some point in time. The waiting getting to the Arc. Then again, the missions Echo had run non-stop so far did hardly help the fatigue taking over either.

Echo felt a sudden shiver. Opening his eyes groggily, in front of him, the most perfect, the utterly gorgeous sight he could imagine. Well, Echo could, imagine and he certainly did. A lot as a matter of fact. But this, was real. Sort of.

Fives.

Finally, Fives had arrived.

Echo had kind of decided he would be mad at Fives for not being on time. Maybe give the man a few choice words? But, now that Fives was there, all the anger was sucked away from Echo immediately.

It was good to see Fives, Echo feeling all kinds of emotions, none of them spite or anger. Not any more. Because Fives was finally there.

Before Echo could even react, the familiar press of lips on his where sending him into a sensory overload. Yeah, it was that good, really.

Breaking off for air, as Echo still needed it to breathe, the two simply stared at each other, in awe of the other.

"Hey."

"Hey."

"Sorry for being late."

"Yeah, didn't notice."

"Oh?"

"No."

"So, glad to see me?"

"Sure."

The stared at each other for a moment.

"Go again?"

"Yeah."

The kiss was more passionate the second time around. The present Fives was hiding behind his glowing self, all but forgotten.

But, Echo could not have wished for a better de-tubing day present, than this. Having Fives all to himself. Ghost, or not. It really did not matter.
