1. 50 pushups
2. 60 sit-ups
3. 25 split squats on each leg
4. 30 jump squats
5. 20 diamond push ups
6. Calf raises till failure
7. Wall-sit till failure
8. Horse stance till failure
9. Plank till failure
At a mere three years of age, Naruto's body could not handle ninja training, so he had to settle for strengthening his body for the time being. What was considered light work for him before was now impossible, and having to go even lower than that was frustrating for the young ninja.
"This sucks" Naruto exclaimed as he dropped from his plank position. His core ached, his knees weak, arms spaghetti. While he was much stronger than a normal three year old, to him and Kurama his current strength was unacceptable.
He had been doing the same workout everyday for the past 6 months, which was how long he took to train his body to be able to even finish his workout without collapsing from exhaustion. He had also been practising his Wind Chakra breathing, which had helped tremendously in improving his steadily growing Chakra control.
"Hey brat."
"Whaddya want you big fur ball?" Naruto asked as he panted, still winded from his workout. He wanted to go for a nice evening stroll.
"I thought I would help you with your measly strength training but since you don't want my help, never mind." Kurama drawled
"Oh yeah? If you could help me with my strength training, why not help me 6 months ago, why now?" Naruto challenged
"Your puny human body simply wasn't developed enough before now. Now its has developed to meet the minimum requirements needed for me to convert excess fat into muscles for you, as well as getting rid of any impurities in your body. But since you don't want that…."
"Wait Kurama! Help me! Please I apologise for my wrongdoings! Please help me get stronger fast! I can't deal with this weak body anymore!" Naruto sobbed.
"Alright then brat. Sleep outside the village today then."
Naruto tilted his head to one side, confused by the instruction. "Why?"
"Well, I can start now if you want, but the process will take 6 hours at least, and no one should be around you for the entire duration."
Naruto still didn't understand why nobody could be around him during the process, but decided Kurama was his friend, and that he would trust him. So he snuck out of the village and into the forest surrounding Konoha.
"Are you ready Gaki?" Kurama asked, smirking. "It will be 6 hours of excruciating pain."
"Hah! I was born ready- Wait what."
"Excellent." Kurama said in an evil voice.
"GAAAHHHH!" Naruto's screams echoed through the forest, causing the citizens of Konohagakure to spread rumours that the forest was haunted by the spirits of fallen ninja.
Naruto bit down hard on his kunai handle to muffle his cries as Kurama reconstructed his body, changing unnecessary body fat into muscle and flushing impurities out of his system. Naruto held on for as long as he could but he eventually succumbed to the pain and passed out.
Naruto woke up to the sun in his face and a weird smell in the air. He felt strangely well rested and his body felt… stronger? As he groggily sat up, Naruto realised that the weird smell in the air was coming from him. No, weird wasn't the right word. It was a downright awful smell. He, to put it plainly, smelled terrible.
"Ugh" He gagged as he stumbled over to the stream nearby. He quickly removed himself from the clothes provided by the orphanage. His blue shirt was ruined by the sticky black spots all over his body. His white pants were also contaminated with the dirty substance.
As he bathed in the river, he noticed how toned his body was and how much more muscle he had compared to the night before.
"How do you like Naruto?" He heard Kurama ask smugly in his minds cape
"What did you do?" Was all the awestruck Naruto could ask in reply.
"Well to put it simply, your body has been cleansed of any dirty substances and your Chakra network has developed even more. It will also continue to develop at an accelerated pace thanks to my modifications. You now have the perfect body for taijutsu and ninjutsu."
"Kurama sounds very full of himself." Thought Naruto. "Well, I'm still grateful towards him."
"I'm not done yet brat. I also reconstructed your muscles and converted your useless fat into muscle. Guess what? Your body will also now naturally produce the muscle you so desperately need instead of excess fat, so your training regime can be stepped up a notch!"
"By the way, most of the muscle was from your training anyway, I just polished it up."
Rubbing the back of his head out of habit, Naruto smiled warmly at the giant fox. "Thanks Kurama! It's really nice to be working with you instead of against you."
Kurama, having conversed civilly with Naruto for months now, had gone from grudging partnership with his container to forging one of the most meaningful connections in his long existence.
"No need to thank Naruto. Just make sure to train as hard as you can so that we can beat the idiot duo of the Uchiha clan into the ground." Kurama smirked, flashing his long teeth
"You got it, partner!" Was Naruto's enthusiastic reply.
And Naruto followed this training pattern for the next 6 months, increasing his workouts little by little as his muscle mass increased. His strength had increased to the point where he could complete the exercise comfortably. Another exercise he added to the list was to chase Tora the cat as basic agility training. He even began to occasionally use his Wind breathing to accelerate his speed, just to get used to the feeling.
Time flew by, and it was soon Naruto's fourth birthday. As expected, only the Sandaime showed up to congratulate him at the orphanage, but Naruto noticed the shadow of one Inu-masked anbu, and perhaps even the faint smell of toad oil.
His fourth birthday was also when he started tree climbing. Going up the tree using both his hands and legs trained both his muscles and his Chakra control, as it was still simply too uncontrolled for him to tree-walk yet, but he was slowly but surely getting there.
He also started to chase Tora more often, sometimes even challenging himself to beat the genin teams also trying to cash the darn cat. His agility had increased by leaps and bounds, which also had something to do with the plyometric (a type of exercise training that uses speed and force of different movements to build muscle power) into his workouts.
Another decision he made was to increase the difficulty of his workouts. It now included
1. 100 pushups
2. 80 sit-ups
3. 30 split squats on each leg

11. L-sit until failure
12. Hopping in different directions one leg
He had also applied more calisthenics (bodyweight exercises) into his workouts, as even he knew that using weights at such a young age would stunt his growth.
Combined with his body modifications, the increased intensity of his exercises caused his body to develop rapidly, so he looked as if he was 6 years old despite only being 4.
All in all, everything seemed to be going well.
Until he was thrown out of the orphanage, that is.
'Ah.' He thought. "I had forgotten about this."
