In November 1st, 1981 it was silent and chilly night in Surrey, there was an owl on a street sign that said 'PRIVET DRIVE' and the street had very identical brick houses lined up next to each others. The owl flies off of the street sign and away into the night sky.
An elder man with long silvery white hair with a matching beard. Nothing like him was ever seen him in Privet Drive and if he was, they would have been ran out due to it not normal. From the silver white of his hair and beard, to his feet long colorful robes, his purple cloak that dragged on the ground and his high-healed, buckled boots. The elderly man didn't seem to notice or care that he just arrived at a street that everything from his name to what he is wearing was unwelcome.
The elderly man, Albus Dumbledore, walks out of the forest near the street. He walks past a tabby cat standing next to what looks like a shed. He stops at where the tabby cat was, he takes out his deluminator, a device that looks like a silver cigarette lighter, and he activates it. Dumbledore zaps all of the lights out of the lamp posts in the street and once that was done, he puts away the device just as the cat meows.
Dumbledore looks down at the tabby cat and then shook his head as he said. "I should have known you would be here... Professor McGonagall."
The cat silently looked up at the elderly man before on the wall, the cat's shifts that of a woman with a tall hat and stepping out of the shadows, revealing a elderly woman wearing emerald robes and hat. This elderly woman was known as Minerva McGonagall.
Minerva looked distinctly ruffled. "Good evening, Professor Dumbledore. Are the rumors true, Albus. That last night that Voldemort had turned up in Godric's Hollow, he went there to find the Potters. That Lily and James Potter are... are... that they're... dead."
Dumbledore bowed his head. "I'm afraid so, Professor. The good... and the bad."
Minerva gasped in horror. "Lily and James... I can't believe it... I didn't want to believe it... Oh. Albus."
Dumbledore reached over and patted her on the shoulder with a solemn look on his face as he said heavily voice. "I know... I know..."
Minerva pulled out a lace handkerchief and dabbed her eyes beneath her spectacles. "And the boys?" She heard that the rumors that they somehow survived and that one of them was the reason that Voldemort was gone. She wanted to know if they truly did survive like the rumors said they did and that they were okay.
"That's why I'm here. I've come to bring Kiran and Harry to their aunt and uncle, they are the only family that they have." Dumbledore said as he looked down at his golden pocket watch. "Hagrid should be here soon with them."
"Do you think that it's wise to trust Hagrid with something as important as this?" Minerva asked him with disbelief in her voice.
"I would trust Hagrid with my life." Dumbledore said like it a normal and simple thing.
Minerva replied grudgingly. "I'm not saying that his heart isn't in the right place. But you can't pretend he's not careless." Just then there was a low rumbling sound that broke the silence around them and this sound belong to that of motor. "What was that?"
The two Professors looked up the sky to where the low rumbling sound was coming from to see a flying motorcycle. The flying motorcycle down, skids onto the street and halts a few inches near Dumbledore and Minerva. A large man around eleven feet and six inches, with shoulder length black hair and beard. This large and tall man is Hagrid, he takes of his googles before carefully getting off the motorcycle with the two bundles in his arms.
"Professor Dumbledore, sir. Professor McGonagall." Hagrid greeted with a nod towards them.
Dumbledore smiled as he asked. "No problems, I trust, Hagrid?"
"No, sir. Little tykes fell asleep just as we were flying over Bristol." Hagrid hands the twin babies wrapped into bundles over to Dumbledore. "Heh. Try not to wake them, there you go."
Dumbledore looked down to the twin bundles in his arms, while Minerva bent forward over to the bundles. In one bundle is a baby boy is fast asleep with tuft of jet-black hair and on his forehead is that of a lightning bolt scar, in the other bundle is another baby boy that is fast asleep, with a tuft of black hair and he opened his eyes to reveal emerald green eyes before closing them once again going back to sleep but this baby didn't have scar like the first one did.
"Is that where..." Minerva whispered as she and Dumbledore slowly made there way to the Dursleys' house.
"Yes." Dumbledore said in a solemn tone. "He'll have that scar forever."
Minerva sighed before she changed the subject. "Albus, do you think it's wise to leave the twins here. I've been watching them all day. You couldn't find two people who are less like us. Not to mention the son that they got... I saw him kicking his mother all the way up the street, screaming for sweets. Kiran and Harry Potter come live here."
"It's the best place for them." Dumbledore told Minerva firmly. "Their aunt and uncle will be able to explain everything to them when their old enough. I've written them a letter."
Minerva looked at Dumbledore in disbelief at what he had just told her. "A letter? Really, Dumbledore, you think you can explain everything in a letter? And makes think that these people will actually give them the letter or ever explain everything once they are old old enough. They are the most sort of muggles imaginable. They really are..."
Dumbledore cuts her off saying. "The only family that they have." They finally had came to a stop in front of the Dursleys' house.
"These boys will be famous. One for defeating Voldemort and the other being his older brother. There won't be a child in our world who doesn't know their names." Minerva told him, as way to cause him to see reason on not leaving these two boys that would be famous in the Wizarding World with horrible muggles.
"Exactly. They're better of growing up away from all that. Until they are ready." Dumbledore in tone to convince that what he was doing was a good thing and he is doing it to protect the Potter Twins. He places the babies on the doorstep slowly. Hagrid was sniffing, he is sobbing a little before clearing his throat. "There, there, Hagrid. It's not really goodbye, after all."
Hagrid sniffed as he nodded before making his over to the flying motorcycle, gets on it and then takes off into the night sky. Minerva turned back into her tabby cat form before walking around and disappearing into the night.
Dumbledore takes out a letter from his robes and place it on the black haired baby. He smiled when he saw that the baby with dark brown hair shifted around before he wrapped one of his small arms around the other one. "Good luck, boys."
