Chapter 93
GRIMFALL ISLAND
Cyclone paced back and forth in Kataka's lair trying to figure out what to do next.
"Please be calm Cyclone-sama, you can figure this out. Everything has gone to plan so far." Kataka assured.
"Are you deaf or did you not hear me say Tore and Robin meeting has disrupted his mind. That thing you did for him all those years ago is coming back to haunt us just like I told you it would." Cyclone snapped.
"But things have gone according to plan..." Kataka said softly.
"And how exactly have things worked out?" Cyclone asked, annoyed.
"Thanks to Tore meeting his daughter he's never been weaker... he requested them when he came here... upon seeing them he broke down crying. Strong emotions seem to trigger his other side coming out. At that moment, you could take him out right then if you wanted with your power!" Kataka said.
"No, I couldn't... I made a pact with Psycho a long time ago that made me encase my heart with nen knives. If I betray him in any way I'll be killed, I'm not immortal like he is, remember? The only thing I received from you is eternal youth." Cyclone said.
"Why would you agree to something like that?..." Kataka asked.
Cyclone looked to the side.
"I...I don't even know why! It's the dumbest thing I've ever done and I can't even remember why..." Cyclone said.
"If you bring me what I need... I can help you remember." Kataka said.
Cyclone looked at the monster.
"That's right... why have I never thought of it. If I can find out why... maybe I can find out how to undo this nonsense." Cyclone said, "I'll be right back."
Kataka nodded and Cyclone zipped away.
Sabo, behind a wall in the distance listened on.
"I knew it was a good idea to stay here... anybody Psycho and Cyclone meet in private is worth risking my life to watch!" Sabo thought.
DEATH MORGUE
Cyclone zapped into DEATH HQ's morgue and walked over to two lockers.
ENEL ARLONG
Cyclone opened up the lockers and Enel and Arlong's bodies came out slowly. Cyclone stared at the two.
"Training from Psycho and I, and you both still died. You deserve it." Cyclone said coldly, picking them both up and zipping away.
KATAKA'S KEEP
Cyclone reappeared with Enel's and Arlong's bodies.
"Ohhhh... two of them!" Kataka said, excitedly.
"After I find out why I made this stupid pact I'm going to get rid of it. That'll end up being two wishes right?" Cyclone asked.
"For you... I will make it two wishes in one, Cyclone-sama." Kataka confirmed.
Cyclone smiled and nodded.
"Then do it." Cyclone said.
Kataka reached for her scythe and slammed it on the ground. The black mold swallowed Enel's body first, and then Arlong's. Behind Kataka, two glass coffins with Enel and Arlong in them respectively, added themselves among her collection.
"For bringing me two sacrifices... you have earned two wishes." Kataka said.
Cyclone smiled.
"What the hell kind of devil fruit did I give you." Cyclone asked rhetorically.
Kataka leaned forward.
"I am forever greatful, Cyclone-sama, you saved my life." Kataka said.
"My first wish is to see why I made this pact in the first place." Cyclone said.
Kataka raised her scythe and the blade glowed yellow. Kataka ripped open reality and a portal to the past opened up.
"Once you go through to your desired destination in time... you won't be able to interact with anything and no one can interact with you." Kataka explained.
Cyclone nodded and walked through the portal. When Cyclone got to the other side, he was in a massive field full of craters, dead knights, a heavily destroyed castle, and... Psycho and Cyclone from centuries ago in battle with someone.
THE EXALTED AGES 800 YEARS AGO
"This was... during The Exalted Ages... Kings started popping up all over the world, fighting for power, it almost destroyed the world." Cyclone heard a boom and looked over to see a man fly past him at super speed. Cyclone looked back and watched the man crash into a mountain and destroy it. An incredibly tall night in all red armor, a giant gold shield, giant gold axe, golden horns and a golden mask landed not too far from the present time Cyclone.
Cyclone smiled.
"Lord Champfort." Cyclone said as Champfort looked back at Cyclone. Cyclone was taken back for a second and got ready to fight until another fighter dashed through Cyclone at light speed and crashed into Champfort's shield knocking him back a considerable distance as his feet dug violently into the ground.
Cyclone, 800 years ago.
Past Cyclone smiled as he pushed Champfort back.
"ALL THE STORIES WE'VE HEARD ABOUT YOU WERE TRUE! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU NEVER TRIED TO STEAL THE THRONE FOR YOURSELF! A MAN WITH YOUR POWER... SHOULD WANT TO RULE THE WORLD!" Cyclone yelled as he loaded up another punch with blue energy and slammed his fist against Champfort's shield knocking Champfort even farther away and forcing the knight to expose his body.
A man in the distance behind Champfort performed hand signs at light speed.
"FIRE RELEASE: DRAGON DANCE!" The man said to himself as he released fire from his mouth that formed into flaming dragons that twirled each other. Both dragons were coated with black lightning.
Champfort looked back and tried his best to turn his body to use his shield.
BOOOOOOOOOM!
A large explosion destroyed a large area of the valley as the fire crashed into Champfort.
Tore Uchiha, 800 years ago.
Tore breathed in and out.
"Infusing king's haki into your fire release!? You're a mad man Tore!" Cyclone smiled.
Tore looked up at Cyclone with one eye closed.
"He has to be finished after that... I hope, I'm exhausted." Tore said.
When the smoke cleared Champfort walked towards the two with burns all over his armor.
Cyclone smiled. Tore sighed.
"I should've known better..." Tore said.
Champfort stopped walking, lifted his shield and slammed it on the ground, crouching behind it as if using it for cover.
Cyclone ran towards Champfort.
"I'll give you something to take cover from!" Cyclone yelled, two balls of energy forming in his hands. Cyclone was unable to fire his attack however as Champfort charged Cyclone at light speed, crashing into him with his shield.
"GUAGGG!" Cyclone coughed up blood as he flew away.
Champfort raised his axe and orange lightning came from the sky, zapping Cyclone out the sky and into a mountain.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Tore looked back.
"He still has this much power!?" Tore asked out loud.
Cyclone watched the fight from a hill in the distance.
"This takes me back, but why this day specifically? Why was this the day I made that pact?" Cyclone asked.
Champort raised his axe in the air and Tore looked up to see orange rain coming down, except it wasn't rain, it was swords! Tore dodged the swords as they crashed down, then took out his sword and began deflecting them. Thanks to his sharingan, Tore was able to track the swords easily and deflected one, then jumped and kicked it back at Champfort who deflected it with his axe.
This exposed Champfort as Tore used his speed to attempt a chidori! Champfort was able to bring up his shield and block the attack. Black lightning shot everywhere, burning up the battle field and creating stretched out craters. Tore yelled as his hand slowly went through Champfort's shield to his surprise.
"AHHHHHHHHH!" Cyclone yelled as he came out of the air, beaten up and bloody, Cyclone slammed his haki covered sword into Champfort's axe. The champion knight was able to hold the two at bay for some time.
Cyclone continued watching the fight as the world shook around him.
"I forgot how much of a fight Champfort put up back then. He's quite the fighter, even though I'd squish him now." Cyclone laughed to himself.
"The world doesn't need all these kings Champfort! That's why we're doing this!" Tore yelled.
"You're too strong to not desire the world! You deserve to die!" Cyclone yelled.
Champfort could hold on no longer and the two collided with Champfort in a mighty explosion. Out of the smoke, Champfort's helmet flew and landed in the distance.
Cyclone and Tore breathed heavily in and out.
"I think that's that..." Tore said.
Cyclone crossed his arms and spit out a little blood.
"Looks that way." Cyclone said.
The present Cyclone walked up to the two men and watched Tore.
Tore looked Cyclone up and down and noticed his clock eye wasn't active.
"Your clock eye... you haven't been using it?" Tore asked.
"When I used it earlier I used it way too long, it's on cool down. I can't wait to get my hands on more of these optical powers." Cyclone smiled.
Tore stared as he breathed in and out.
"Mr. Muranaka, are you sure you're doing all this for world peace? The 100 year war just ended and it seems like we've done nothing but fight... I'm tired of fighting... but you seem like you enjoy it..." Tore said.
Cyclone looked at Tore.
"This is only a part of your journey to become the strongest. I told you, we need you to become strong so you can be the supreme ruler of this world. That's why I had you wish for immortality, so you could stay at the top forever." Cyclone explained.
Tore began to form tears.
"But I'm tired of losing people I love. Champfort was... a good guy, maybe he deserved to be king." Tore said.
Cyclone became agitated.
"Listen to yourself! Champfort was blindly loyal to a king that was killing his own people, the world is better off without him. I'm starting to think you're not up to this." Cyclone said.
Present Cyclone continued listening.
"No... I'm fine... I want to protect the world." Tore said.
Cyclone smiled and looked Tore directly in the eyes. Tore looked back and activated his sharingan.
"Put your life on the line, to prove your loyalty and you mean what you say." Tore said.
Cyclone stared at Tore for a moment, closed his eyes, and opened them. Cyclone nodded.
Cyclone closed his eyes and focused his nen to his heart, creating knives that surrounded the organ. If Cyclone ever betrays Tore in any way, these knives will close down on his heart and kill him where he stands.
"I've encased my heart with nen knives. I mean what I say." Cyclone said.
Tore smiled.
"Alright then." Tore said, looking back at present Cyclone.
Cyclone's eyes shot open and he reached for his sword to swipe Tore, but when he realized he missed he was already back in Kataka's lair.
"Looks like you figured it out." Kataka said.
"That damn bastard. That PUNK! He knew what I had planned after I used him to rule the world and checkmated me... all these years he's been using ME. Not anymore..." Cyclone said.
"I wish these nen knives away! NOW!" Cyclone yelled.
Kataka slammed her scythe and the nen knives over Cyclone's heart went away. Cyclone immediately felt a sigh of relief.
"This... This is the greatest I've felt in 800 years!" Cyclone yelled with a hearty laugh.
"Cyclone-sama, you still have one more wish." Kataka reminded.
"That's right... the first wish was two in one...! Well I think my next wish is obvious!" Cyclone smiled.
"I wish the straw hat shinobi were de-"
"FIRE FIST!" Sabo yelled, blasting a ginormous fist of fire at Cyclone and Kataka, the fire took up the entire cave!
"I WISH I WAS AT THE REVOLUTIONARY ARMY HQ!" Sabo yelled.
Almost instantly Sabo was teleported away to a random Revolutionary HQ.
After the smoke cleared Cyclone was covering his mouth with rage.
"That god damn punk! How long has he been here!" Cyclone yelled.
"I don't know... I don't have any haki to detect him." Kataka said, "If you bring me another body you can make your wish anyway, Cyclone-sama." Kataka said.
Cyclone shook his head.
"I was going to wish for the Straw Hat Shinobi to drop dead, but I have nothing holding me back now... I can act on my own accord! I'm officially no longer a DEATH member! I act on my own accord now!" Cyclone said, teleporting away.
FLORIAN TRIANGLE
On Kraken's ship it was dark and foggy but that's because they were in the Florian triangle but it was really morning time.
"Go get everyone Kasai, we're here." Kraken said, "Tell them be careful, because Duboi's ability could still be active!" Kraken said.
Kasai nodded then went and got everyone. Kasai burst into the dorms and yelled.
"Everyone up-te! We've arrived at Dubois' castle-te!" Kasai yelled, looking at Naruto and Luffy's beds.
"Where are Naruto and Luffy?" Kasai asked.
Naruto and Luffy were already running past Kraken, towards the castle island.
"Wait!" Kraken yelled.
Naruto and Luffy stopped in their tracks.
"Are you guys crazy!? Look I know you're ready to get answers but you guys need to be patient. Dubois is right behind those giant doors you see, but we need to take our time. There's somebody here I'm worried about running into." Kraken said.
"Why are you worried Kraken!? We've got you and your team, the ninja, gravity guy, most of my crew, Mihike, Hammock, and plant head next to you! We've got plenty of strong people we can beat anyone up!
"Gravity guy?" Issho asked with a small laugh.
"AM I PLANT HEAD-TE!?" Kasai yelled.
"It's HAN-COCK my silly Luffy!" Hancock yelled with hearts in her eyes.
"Mi-hike..." Mihawk said with mild aggravation.
"Who are you worried about running into Kraken? Can all of us really not beat him on our own?" Sasuke asked.
Before Kraken could answer, someone else answered for him.
"Unfortunately, you can't." The man said.
Everyone looked at the man with shock and fear. Naruto and Luffy looked at the man with pure rage.
"None of you are even remotely on my level. And with my latest upgrade..." Cyclone said.
"I can do whatever I want with you, after I kill all of you, the old man is next. Then Psycho." Cyclone said.
Kraken was taken back by this.
"Psycho? What are you going after him for? Aren't you guys a team?" Kraken asked.
"It doesn't matter, Kraken. None of you will live long enough to worry about what's going on any more." Cyclone said, coldly.
