Ok, so the chapters are going to go in the order of my least favorite Ninja to my favorite Ninja. Sorry to all of you Cole fans out there but he is at the bottom of my list. Also sorry to all of my fellow Lloyd fans, cuz since he's my favorite that sadly means he's last. And there will be several author notes in each cuz that's just how my brain works. Anyway, back to the story!

Chapter 2: Earth

(Spectator's perspective)

"Alright, hit me with em."

The master of earth is leaning backwards in the chair looking slightly bored but still action ready.

You pause before asking your question to observe the Black Ninja more closely. You end up with these observations:

(A/N: Ok, forgot to mention that I'm also going to do a description of each character in the beginning of their respective chapter. So here's Cole's.)

Cole Brookstone , Master of Earth, Black Ninja: (A/N: I actually always thought Brookstone was his legitimate last name. But I recently learned that he doesn't have a cannon last name. I still use this one though.)

Height: 6ft 5in (A/N: Sorry to everyone who doesn't use feet and inches but I'm too lazy to convert them.)

Eye Color: Cole black (A/N: Ha, Ha. Get it? COLE black? Cole! Huh, Huh?)

Hair Color: Black

Age: 26 (A/N: Ok, so this is where things get slightly complicated. The ages, my ninja are all over 18 and I say Cole is the oldest out of them all, even Zane is younger than him. Although if you wanna get really technical he's actually like 60 or something in the show. But whatever, this is my AU.)

Gi Color: Black with orange accents (A/N: I really like how they changed his gi from just being black to now black and orange.)

Gi: Season 14 (A/N: This is my personal favorite gi for Cole. Just look up 'Ninjago island Cole' if you don't know what I'm talking about.)

Weapon of choice: Hammer (A/N: Choosing which weapon Cole would use was hard. I personally think that he is good with both a hammer and scythe. But in the end the hammer won.)

"Ok, here's my first question for you, is it true that you used to be the leader of the ninja?" You ask, leaning forward with your elbows resting on the table.

Cole seems surprised that this is your question, but nevertheless responds, "Yeah I was the former leader, until Lloyd grew up and took over the position. I really wasn't the leader for long, just while the Serpentine were causing trouble and a little bit when we were training Lloyd."

You nod your head and ask your next question, "What was it like being a ghost?"

You can see a pained expression cross the earth master's face after you say ghost, you then open your mouth to apologize but Cole holds up a hand saying, "No, no. You're fine, it's just been a while since I've thought about it. I guess it was ok. It definitely was strange, I couldn't feel anything and I was always hungry, even more than usual." He says with a chuckle before continuing, "The fact that I could now walk through walls and stuff definitely took a while to adjust too. I remember once when we were all running around and Nya accidentally ran through me. It was one of the strangest things ever."

"So what do you think was your hardest battle?" You ask next.

"Oh man, hardest battle? That's a tough one." Cole is silent for a while, thinking. Then he finally says, "For me it might have been fighting the Skull Sorcerer under Shintaro. (A/N: I honestly couldn't think of any other villain that Cole has fought one on one other than Vangelis or Sensei Yang. But Yang seemed too boring so I went with Vangelis instead.) He had this weird magic talking skull that could bring dead things back to life, and on top of that I had to fight him alone, since the other ninja were busy fighting reawakened skeletons, but I managed to defeat him using the Spinjitzu Burst."

"That reminds me," you say, suddenly remembering a question, "What exactly is the Spinjitzu Burst?"

Cole seems to be trying to remind himself what it is as it is several minutes before he responds. "It's kinda complicated, but the basic gist of it is that when a Spinjitzu master is surrounded by their element they can connect with it on a deeper level and use the power to basically supercharge their Spinjitzu. Kinda like the forbidden scroll of Spinjitzu."

You sit there wide eyed taking in every detail. You're so focused on what Cole is saying that you don't even notice that he has stopped talking, waiting for the next question. Eventually he has to wave a hand in front of your face and ask.

"Hello? Earth to Y/N? What's next?" (A/N: Ha, ha, ha! More earth puns!)

"Hmm? Oh yeah. It's another Shintaro related question. That princess, Vania, is it true that you're dating?" You ask.

"Oh, Vania, she's queen now by the way. No we're not dating, we're just friends." Cole says, shifting in his seat looking slightly uncomfortable.

"Are you sure? Will you eventually date her?" You ask, confused. You had heard from other friends that the princess no, it's queen now you remind yourself, and Cole were really close and it seemed obvious to you that they should date.

"N-No I don't like people like that." Cole says, looking downward.

"All people?" You say, catching onto the fact that Cole didn't say Vania's name and just said people in general.

Cole's eyes widen in fear as he realizes his mistake, stammering he tries to correct himself, "I-I mean Vania, just Vania, I-I don't like her like that."

Then Kai cuts him off saying, "Cole, come on, they're gonna find out eventually, stop hiding it man."

Cole sighs and looks at you with a small smile, "Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag now."

Jay then jumps in saying, "More like out of the closet."

Cole glares at him before continuing, "Yeah, I'm asexual. (A/N: Yep, there you have it, I say Cole is asexual. (For those of you who don't know what asexual means, it means that someone has very little to none romantic or sextual attraction to anyone, opposite sex or not.) I don't think he has any feelings for Vania beyond a friend. And he honestly just doesn't strike me as a ninja to bring a relationship into his ninja life.) Have been for a while, I'm not ashamed of it. Doesn't change anything about me or my job as a ninja, just means that I don't like anyone like that, that's all."

You're surprised to hear this at first. But then as you recall different stories about the Earth Elemental you realize that it actually made sense.

Cole has always had a close relationship with his friends, and has never shown any interest in anyone else outside of the ninja for any kind of relationship. Romantic or platonic.

"One last question," You say, wanting to give the obviously now uncomfortable Earth Master a nice question to end on, "What is your favorite flavor of cake?"

The Black Ninja's facial expression does a one eighty. Going from uncomfortable and shy, to excited and happy.

"Cake! I love cake! I love all kinds of cake! Cheesecake, vanilla cake, lemon cake, ice cream cake, coffee cake, strawberry shortcake, the list goes on and on! But I think my favorite kind is just chocolate cake, a nice simple chocolate cake is all I really need." Cole is starting to drift off into his own thought world but then snaps back to reality and asks you, "Who's next up for questions?"

You respond by saying, "Nya is next."

Cole gets up and Nya takes his place.

A/N: Ok, so that's kinda what the chapters will be like. Of course they will all be a little different depending on the ninja, but this is the basic gist of it. Nya is next up so if anyone has any questions for her I would love to read them and put them into my next chapter. (Please leave some reviews with questions, I have like zero clue what to ask Nya other than things about her love life.)
