"What're you getting all buddy-buddy for? Huh?"

Senji sighed, knowing she couldn't just ignore the annoying boy beside her. She rubbed her temple while weighing her options. Shinso needed to focus right now. Mina was losing focus on her group's conversation. Senji decided to cave in and attempt to have a conversation with Monoma.

"Oh, that's right. You two were awful friendly at the culture festival as well. There're some nasty rumors about you, you know? Like the roof-diver one," Monoma continued, touching a nerve with that last statement.

"I wonder who's been fanning those. Is it that odd to have friends outside my own class?," she shot back with a vague accusation, and a question of her own.

"Well. I guess not," Monoma was losing steam now, and needed to change the subject fast. "That's Tokoyami, yeah? I heard he had an internship with Hawks's agency. That's weird, don'tcha think? With how similar your Quirk is to his?"

"That comparison's getting old," Senji complained. The chatterbox sure knew exactly what buttons to push, and it was making her more and more irritated. She took a deep breath to keep her composure, and tried to keep her responses simple and safe.

Shinso, while keeping track of the fight and the students around him, was also aware of the two arguing beside him. He glanced at Senji from time to time, struggling to hide his laughter at her increasingly sour expression. He could sympathize with her a little bit, though. The other boy was extremely obnoxious, and never seemed to get tired.

"Your outfit is similar too. The color, and the fluff poking out around the edges. That tail doesn't match the image, though. How do you hide it when you're flying? Or are you purposely changing the shape of your wings? Man, what a crazy fan you are," Monoma continued his onslaught. Senji was obviously struggling to hold back now, the scales on her left arm's prosthetic getting more and more unstable.

"It's different enough," Shinso finally joined the conversation. "I'm surprised you went with such a…with a design like that."

"Like what," Senji's irritation spilled over into her responses to him now, too.

"So girly! With how you usually look, it'd throw anyone off. You did something similar at the festival, too. Was there any particular reason for that?," Monoma rattled off again, his last question poking yet another sensitive topic. Shinso wasn't sure how to defend that one, plus he felt his imagination getting the better of him for just a moment.

"Hey! Loud ass bastard! Shut it," Bakugo snapped at Monoma unexpectedly from the sidelines. The class B boy couldn't let that slide, and went over to bother some of the other A students. Senji's shoulders relaxed, and she was thankful for his random outburst for once. Shinso was able to shake off his wandering thoughts with that, as well. The two of them stood in silence for a while, with Senji leaning against the guard rail on their platform.

"You guys have some wild personalities," Shinso commented on his observations.

"That's one way to put it. [Man], this group's even worse than the last one," Senji agreed with Shinso, and muttered an observation of her own on the battle inside the arena. Shinso turned his gaze back to the screen to watch with her.

"It's your job to patch them up?," he asked without fully expecting an answer. He was curious on her position for this class though. He knew from experience that she was plenty good in a fight, even on a bad day.

"Right. I'm in the hero course, but with a focus on support and healing-type work. It's sort of like a really long internship? With Recovery Girl," she gave him an answer, and ended up explaining more than usual in her distracted state. With the match ended, Senji moved to meet the returning students and offer whatever aid she could again. Blocking the mushrooms from completely sealing off Tokoyami's windpipe, with the distance, was a little more than she could handle. He was sent to Recovery Girl for extra healing and rest, while the others were bandaged up and sent to observe the other matches.

"Monoma's annoying as shit," Senji muttered to Kendo. The orange-haired girl was usually around to silence her classmate, but since she was participating in the match he had free reign. Kendo was taken aback at the sudden acknowledgement of his character and didn't know how to respond.

"My bad?," she finally blurted out.

"Don't apologize. Dude's clearly got a screw loose. Or three. Oh, my bad. He focused in on me for a bit, so I'm annoyed," Senji, who most perceived as a relatively quiet student, was venting quite a bit while doing her job.

"Right. Again, sorry about him."

They walked back to the waiting area, where Monoma was already deep into another tangent against class A. Kendo hurriedly knocked him out with her fist, dragging him off to the side while Izuku and All Might snuck off. Bakugo skulked after them, with Senji letting out a small chuckle due to his expression.

The next match included an exchange student, in class B. She was American, and spoke more English than japanese. That was a habit her and Senji shared, especially when their tempers flared.

"Oh, you speak pretty good English too," Shinso started up a conversation with her again, while receiving an intense stare from their shared mentor. Senji wanted to ask what that was about, but decided against it for now.

"Yeah."

"You slip into it a lot when you're mad, too," he added a final, sharp comment.

"That's-! Uh. Japanese is really my second language. I was just learning it up through my first year of middle school," she gave another long answer. Maybe I let my guard down too easy around him?

"Anyway, what's that about?," she pointed toward Eraser, and his dirty look. Shinso chuckled nervously, deciding how to answer that.

"Well…he heard some of that other guy's rant and uh. Had some questions," Shinso's voice was barely audible at the end of his explanation, and he refused to meet her eyes. The two turned their gazes back toward the large screen, with Shinso noting the already tired expression that marked his friend's face.
