Shinso was left by himself for the remainder of the third match. Senji, concerned with how intense it was getting, had moved closer to the field for more control with her scales. He heard some of the explanation earlier, about how she was using her quirk to minimize damage. That had to be hard to do without interfering too much with the flow of each match, and exhausting. She took off from the platform they were all on, flying being the fastest way to move into position. It was the first time he saw her feathery wings, and was awestruck for a moment at how they glittered in the sun.
"Hey, that guy's been staring you down hard this whole time. What's up with that?," Monoma had slid up beside him again. This time his radical fervor was almost nonexistent, likely due to self-preservation with his classmate back from the field.
…
"[Maaaan.] You guys are really goin' crazy down there," Senji whined quietly to herself. She maintained a decent distance from the heat, both figurative and literal. But she was burning through scales with the various injuries being sustained. Todoroki and Tetsutetsu's body temperatures were rising to dangerous levels, but she wasn't able to directly alter that. Not until after the match, or only if they were about to do permanent damage. Todoroki's flames were too hot for her to get very close, either way. And the others were sustaining some hefty injuries.
Ojiro's scrap with the gyrating student left more than a few scrapes and bruises, pushing him to his limit. Then he was stabbed by the foreign girl's horns and thrown into the "jail" violently. Once there, Senji decided to treat him.
"I thought you couldn't do stuff til after the matches," Ojiro talked to distract himself from the pain. He spoke through gritted teeth, and tensed up hard when Senji applied medicine to the deeper wounds.
"You're out, and this match is super rough. So this is fine. It's better to do now so I have more scales," she explained while finishing up with him.
"Scales? Oh," Ojiro recalled seeing small, sparkly objects throughout the arena. And once he was in jail, his deeper wounds were covered in a hard, blue substance. Senji finished up with him and hurried over toward the others. There were a lot of big head injuries, on top of so many others. She arrived just in time to create a barrier over Iida's body as he was crushed by a large melty structure. She took off one of her support items, the one on her thigh, and wrapped it around Todoroki's neck before flying back up. There wasn't a strong chance he'd wake up with that, and she needed to bring his temperature down.
Just as she pulled out of the arena, the other two participants arrived. The exchange student carried her remaining two members, and lifted Todoroki up along with them into the air. Just out of Shoji's reach. The buzzer echoed loudly, signaling the end of the match.
"[Place them down, quick!]," Senji addressed the only still-conscious student on class B's side. She set the others down on a rooftop, and watched while Senji tended to their various injuries and communicated something over an earpiece. Once everyone was carried off by the robots, Senji found another good perch and waited for the next match. Bakugo's group was up next, so she expected a lot of damage from that round.
"This is more exhausting than just fighting, for real," she whined again. She maintained just enough scales for her wings, and scattered the rest into thin clouds around the groups. There was one student in the B group who's quirk would make it difficult to swarm, so she focused more on the other seven.
…
On the ground, Bakugo's group tried one last time to establish a plan. The fiery blonde noticed a lot more glittery particles in the air, concentrated around them. He wasn't oblivious to the comments made by Monoma, or to Senji's friendly demeanor with the purple-haired guy. They were obviously good friends, but there shouldn't have been any time for that to happen. He was sure of that, at least. He clicked his tongue, annoyed, before turning his attention back to his team.
"Just follow me! I'll win, without any injuries! Overwhelming victory!," he shouted. The others tried to talk, but he shut them down again and again. He gave them some spare grenades, and they finally left it alone and followed him.
…
"Without injury, hm?," Senji could hear the boy's shouting from her perch. She snickered at the bold, and contradictory, statement he had proudly proclaimed.
There wasn't a lot of time to laugh about that, though. The match heated up in an instant, and one of the class B quirks was particularly troublesome, shooting out glue all over. Senji's scales were likely to get stuck, so she made rough shapes with them and pulled them back a little. The fighting had gotten really close to her perch, so she had a clear view of the falling debris and Bakcugo's swift "rescue". She was both relieved, and shocked, by his shift in behavior.
"Nice."
That one move had solidified his teammates' trust in him, and they moved even quicker than before. They split off, securing each opponent in quick succession. Senji was worried about Bakugo's assault on the glue one, but could tell with her scales that the blasts he used were much weaker. Just enough to knock him out, but not do serious damage.
In a flash, literally, the match was over. Bakugo's group managed a complete victory, with practically no injuries to either side. Senji returned to the viewing station with them, with Bakugo commenting about her scales being in the way or unnecessary. Senji enjoyed the soured, frustrated expression on Monoma's face upon their return. Shooting a nasty grin his way, which a few of the others picked up on.
