Yang wasn't having a good time.

At first she overslept and therefore she skipped breakfast to make it to class on time.

Then she kinda studied the wrong subject and bombed her Grim-Biology test.

And last but not least, at lunch her favorite dessert was out.

'Can this day be over already?' she thought while eating her dry chickenstrips.

No such luck.

"Yang!" Weiss yelled across the cafeteria, not in the slightest caring that half of the school was looking now.

'Right on cue.' Yang thought as she watched the heiress come over.

"What can I do for you today Weissicle?"

"Don't call me that!" Weiss narrowed her eyes.

"You told me yesterday and I rephrase 'Don't worry Snowflake, this test is in the bag.' So I thought that you would have learned for it."

"I studied but…" she started to explain but the platinett wasn't having any of it.

"Oh you clearly didn't. If you would have studied you wouldn't have gotten an 'D' from Professor Port!" She holds up her scroll with all the grades of Team Rwby.

Ruby got a 'B', Weiss an 'A+', Blake an 'A' and Yang unfortunately a 'D'

"Ok first of all, it's no big deal." the blonde stated, starting to get a little annoyed.

"No big deal?" Weiss scoffed "You know that your grades are important right? How you perform in Beacon will rank you as a huntress on graduation! Later you can improve your rank only by good performance on missions you still need to get hired for!"

Yang, now standing, nearly shouts at Weiss.

"Do you really think I don't know this!? Who are you by the way to tell me what to do? I swear to the gods, if you weren't such an entitled bi….."

Ruby just wanted to get some lunch, maybe the occasional cookie and a nice conversation with her teammates.

But instead she saw her partner and her sister argue like the world is gonna end.

While deciding whether to get involved or just get her food, Ruby noticed the arrival of the last of her team. Blake.

"Are these two on it again?" Blake simply asked.

"Yea… seems like it." Ruby tilted her head. "Do you think we should stop them?"

Blake chuckled low. "Right now they are looking like a dragon fighting a snow storm, so I think we just let them."

The young team leader agreed with a sigh but then like nothing happened her face lit up.

"Ohh look Blake, there is no one in line!" Ruby points at the counter of the quickly vacating cafeteria.

Whether ignoring that her team is the cause that so many students decide to eat their lunch outdoor and that in the middle of January or Ruby just hyper focused on food and cookies, Blake wasn't sure.

"Why can't they just get along?!" Ruby whined as the both of them sat with their trays and heard the like thirteenth "How dare you!" from the heiress.

Blake stared at her Pasta Tonno for a second. "Hasn't Weiss promised to be a lot nicer?"

"Hmmm yea, 'I will be the best teammate this team will ever have.' her words exactly."

They both looked at each other.

"Do you think.." Ruby started.

"That Weiss is trying? Blake finished.

WUMPS!

They looked up in shock. Where the tray from Yang was laying on the table, was now a hole of the size of the brawler's fist.

And said brawler was now steaming and rushed out through the hall's big doors.

Leaving behind a perplexed Schnee.

Blake was the first to find her speech back. "Sooooo… maybe?"

Ruby jumped up and rushed with her semblance to the heiress. "Hi Weiss, are you alright?"

Weiss looked to the doors and then slowly to her team leader. "I… I think so, but I don't know what the misunderstanding was."

"You and all the students of Beacon!" Blake yelled from her meal.

"Not helpful Blake!" Ruby yelled back at her.

"I think it will probably be the best to let her cool off. You can still talk to her when classes are over for today."

Weiss, not so optimistic like her partner, looked at the doors again. 'I hope so.'

It was cold. Really really cold.

It was winter in Vale and Weiss should be accustomed to the cold weather, especially since she grew up in Atlas, one of the coldest but still inhabited regions in the world.

But, and this is a big "BUT" her family's mansion was always well heated and she was mostly outside on the more tempered days of the year.

It was 2:00 a.m. in the morning and it got kinda frigid in the dorm room Weiss shared with the rest of Team RWBY. The heater stopped at midnight and all the heiress could do was to dive deeper in her sheats, but this was not enough.

'How can the others sleep so content?' she thought. 'It's like 10 degrees in here!'

Weiss began to sit and shivered as she watched her team.

She could hear her leader Ruby lightly snoring above her in her bunk bed and as she looked to the other side of the room, she saw the ninja of the group curl like a ball in her bed.

'Weird' she thought as her look wandered above her totally human and even in her sleep a bow wearing teammate Blake.

And what Weiss saw was beyond her comprehension.

Yang was only covered from toe till her hips!

Weiss's mouth was agape. 'How can this dunce sleep through this insufferable cold? Is she half polar bear or something!?'

Reluctant and tightly wrapped in her blanket she rose from her bed and tiptoed to the blonde.

With her face near to the brawler she could really feel the warmth that was emitting from her.

'Is this part of her semblance? I am kinda envious.'

While shivering Weiss came an idea and in regard to the outburst from the blonde today, it was a little risky.

'Ok Weiss, Yang came just 5 minutes before bedtime back to the dorm room and you couldn't talk to her like you planned, but you can't get sick because of some stupid "energy conserving regulation".'

"Yang?" Weiss began to whisper.

No answer.

"Yang!?"

But there was no motion from her teammate.

Weiss, not really the patient one of her team, began to softly poke Yang in the side.

And with a quiet hissing "Yaaang!" the blonde began to stir and mumbled a "Hmpf?"

'Hmmm, ok I'm not a lawyer but maybe this counts as "amenable" …right?'

"Yang, I know our communication need's some work… but it's really cold in the room and to prevent getting sick I think it will be best to share a bed for this night to use our body heat proficiently…. Of course this is a one-night agreement only and clearly for professional purpose!" Weiss stated like one of the contracts her father was sending out on every occasion and with as much dignity the cold air would let muster her.

There was silence for like a minute.

Weiss, still shivering, lost hope that the blonde was awake in the first place.

'Fuck it.' was all she could think with a sigh.

"Yang, please!" She pleaded quietly.

And finally Yang moved with a "Hmpf" to one side to let Weiss in the bed, her back toward the Schnee.

Weiss, not believing her luck, summoned a glyph to get the necessary height and as she dove in Yang's sheets she whispered a cheerful "Thank you thank you thank you!"

The warmth was noticeable from the beginning and as Yang began to cover both of them with her blanket.

Weiss was in heaven.

"Yang?" Weiss asked nearly silently.

"Hmmm?"

"Thank you… really."

"Hmmmmm"

And just like that, Weiss drifted in a deep and warm sleep with only a last thought in her mind.

'Maybe I should ask the family lawyer about some "hypothetical scenarios".'
