People think that being sent to a new world is a fun experience, but it actually isn't. My name is Samson Snow, and my story starts with me playing a stupid game.

Now the game I downloaded onto my PC was intense and difficult as well as horrifying. Basically, it was inspired by Berserk, but I don't know for sure. The games I played were Fear and Hunger one and two respectively. They were a big hit when they came to America, and I enjoyed the games. Not so much for the horror, but for the story telling, survival RPG theme and the fact that you need to think things over before doing anything.

The game focused on making the player think things through and find solutions other than simply finding a monster and killing it. Hence the difficulty, it didn't have level up or stat mechanics like a typical RPG. Instead, you had soul stones to use along with items and a large amount of luck.

The fucking coin toss aspect still pisses me off…Seriously just let me fucking loot. RNG is bad enough as it is, but why did they have to make the items such a hassle to get.

Anyway, after I finished both games with the help of energy drinks, Twitch chat and stubbornness to prove something to myself and unimportant critics, I saw a random email appear from a person I thought was my friend on Discord.

The dude was a person called 'Multiple Moon', and he was a cool guy, so I didn't mind looking over the email he sent me. But the email turned out to be an invitation.

The chance to enter a new world with the powers of a true hero.

Frankly I thought he invited me to play a new game, so I accepted the invitation. When I did, my computer suddenly froze and blinded me with a bright golden light and I simply heard laughing. When I opened my eyes, I saw that I wasn't in my room on Twitch anymore, and instead I was in a completely different room.

After a moment I was suddenly hit with memories that weren't my own. Memories of a life in this world and the memories of my old life had somehow faded into the darkest corners of my mind.

That event happened a month ago, and I've been here ever since. Where is here, you may ask? Well, that's the real kicker. I've been sent into an anime world known as High School DxD, the city name and school are tipoffs.

At first you might think that this is a good thing, but it isn't because DxD is a dark world if people didn't abandon or ignore the anime after seeing a bunch of fanservice. This world is full of god's and monsters, and the main protag is constantly on the backfoot of things because of his addiction to boobs.

Granted it isn't all his fault. That bitch Raynare gave him some hardcore PTSD, which caused him some emotional issues and struggles to be honest with himself, but still it wouldn't have killed him to train more and ask for help.

I'm starting to rant, so I'll just wrap this up. I am an exchange student at Kuoh and my family moved here for business reasons. I am seventeen with dark skin and silver hair done in ear length dreadlocks and green eyes. I have an average frame despite adopting an exercise routine and at the moment I am just laying in my bed on a Saturday morning because I don't want to get up.

Again, people think being reborn in a new world is fun, but it's just bullshit. My fear of getting killed is fully justified and I can't even tell my parents about the monsters or else they'll think I'm crazy.

Fuck this world.

"Ok, one overly emotional morning of self-reflection is finished." I said to myself after finally getting up from my bed and performing a few stretches. "Maybe this self-hatred of everything is a sign of my depression." I said before I went into the bathroom near my room and cleaned up before entering my room again and focused on my right hand.

"Game On." I said to myself with determination and saw my Sacred Gear manifest itself. It is a black and slim looking metallic glove over my right hand with a crimson gem in the center of it, on the back of my hand, and appearing over the gem is a screen of game options for me.

[Soul Tree]

I took a glance at my soul tree and saw that it could go on for ages without a limit. The problem is that I haven't earned any SGP aka soul game points. Basically, I have a skill tree that I can't use at the moment. I have skills but none of them are particularly useful now. Again, that isn't to say I have skills that suck, it's just that they must be used in specific situations, like school where I can learn a bit faster than normal.

The Diligent Scholar skill is to thank for that little boost.

"Samson, are you almost ready for school?" My mother asked from behind my door as I quickly deactivated my ability.

"Yeah mom. Just a few more minutes." I told her before I put on my school uniform and my favorite red biker goggles over my forehead. My school bag is slung over my shoulder and sure enough I am ready to go to Kuoh Academy.

It was weird to know full Japanese and be able to speak it and write it, but I'm not complaining. Besides my folks are American and aren't asking me to call them by their Japanese names for mom and dad. Anyway, I leave my room and head downstairs to see my father in the living room and my mother in the kitchen.

My father and mother are decent folks. My dad is named Robert Snow and my mother is Andrea Snow. Mom stays at home and dad works in insurance. They love each other and I don't have any tragic main protag backstory or anything.

"Make sure to study hard son. These universities in Japan are brutal compared to the one's back home." Dad said to me, and I smiled.

"I'll work hard dad. And I'll see you both later." I told them before I headed out of the house and made my way to Kuoh Academy.

If I didn't say the school was nice before, I'll say it now. People here are friendly and understanding, unless you're a member of the Perverted Trio that is. Also, Rias, Sona and the others haven't talked or approached me yet. It's strange but I won't complain about it. Until I find ways to get stronger, I will gladly take my time outside of the spotlight.

"Snow-san you're here early." A familiar voice said before I looked to the side and smiled.

"I don't like being late Kiryuu-chan. If I miss a day at school, my folks will scold me." I told her in a playful manner as the brown-haired girl smiled and walked beside me.

Aika and I became fast friends, and we could possibly become more, but the time isn't right. We are still getting to know each other after all.

"Well, we can't have your parents scolding you. So, did you study for today's history test?" Aika asked me and I chuckled back.

"You're not borrowing my notes."

"I wasn't going to ask for them. I was just thinking that we could bounce a few subjects off each other during the test." Aika replied with a coy smirk.

"Last time we did that, we got in trouble and had detention for a week."

"True, but this time we won't get caught, besides sneaking things to each other is fun."

"You're really bored, aren't you?" I asked her and she sighed.

"Yes. Yes, I am." Aika said before we made our way into class and took our seats. The perverted trio were causing a bit of a scene as usual, but I paid no mind and listened to the teacher as he spoke and got class started.

Now the school day was alright, but the moment it ended I decided to take a walk around the city, for curiosities sake. I have saved up a good bit of money from my allowance and I can afford to do something nice, so for a good chunk of time I wander around before I stumble into a pawnshop of all things.

There are two people here in the shop. The first person is a man in a business suit, and the second is a girl around my age and is sitting in the corner reading a book. They look similar with fair skin and blonde hair, but the girl's hair is a bit darker, and she is quite a looker in her T-shirt and jean shorts.

"Hello young man, welcome to the Oz shop. We have all sorts of items for sale and are willing to buy some things as well. I'm Ozwald the owner." Ozwald said with a smile before I had a look around and I managed to stumble onto a book that interested me.

"Excuse me, but can you tell me more about this book?" I asked the guy as I handed him the large book I found.

"The book of Orichalcos. It is a grimoire based around Egyptian magic, if you believe in that sort of thing. It's supposed to be like any other magic book and teach you how to preform spells and incantations based in the Egyptian pantheon. Would you like to buy it? I have several other copies if your interested in buying it for your friends." Ozwald said before I glanced at the brown covered book with a green pentagram on the cover.

"I'll just take this one." I told him before I handed him the Yen and left with the book in a paper bag.

When I got home, I went into my room and started reading the book a bit and honestly it was interesting to say the least. It covers several spells, rituals, incantations and what have you. So, since I didn't have anything better to do, I decided to try and properly learn some magic from the book.

I don't know if it will really work or not, but it's worth a try. Besides there are dozens of other magics books in the world, so odds are that I can find another book to teach me something if I'm desperate enough.

Anyway, after a while of studying the book and its contents I managed to gain a new skill.

[Lesser Magic Manifestation: This skill allows you to create lesser spells at the cost of MP.]

[Due to unlocking your Mana, you have earned 1 SGP.]

"Sweet." I said to myself with a smile, but I didn't spend the point right away. Instead, I decided to save the point for later in case I need it.

Unknown Location

"It seems the devils in this city are rather lazy. They don't even know about the storm that's coming." A raspy and high-pitched voice said within a dark building littered with gore and blood. This figure is female and is wearing a simple black bra and panties with stockings and in her right hand is a sheathed katana.

"They are nothing but arrogant fools, but don't let that make you reckless. Their strength is decent enough to pose a threat." Another deeper voice said from the shadows as the woman scoffed.

"A threat to you maybe. Those pathetic devils don't know anything about real power. The sword I wield is more than capable of killing those brats, the fallen and anyone else who tries to stand in my way." The woman said before she turned around to leave. "Now if you'll excuse me; my blade thirsts for blood."

The woman walked away from the location, leaving the robed man alone with a groan.

"That foolish stray. She is a danger to my plan; I might have to kill her when she returns." The man said before he was swallowed up by tendrils of darkness that emerged from his shadow, and when the tendrils sunk into the ground, he went with them.

END

A/N: This story is influenced by Fear and Hunger, Berserk, Dark Souls and the other good stuff. The survival horror theme of RPG's is always interesting to see, despite how much the actual horror will scare the piss out of me. Anyway, I figured that since DxD is a dark place without the constant humor breaking the tension, why shouldn't I make a dramatic, dark and sexy story for it.

Please fav, follow and review. Also constructive criticism is welcome, but no trolling.
