Author's Note: This one-shot is inspired by the song Shut Up, I Love You by Save The Arcade. The song is cute in itself, and I find that it fits Jacob and Bella pretty well. I didn't bother with the chorus, I believed the first verse to be enough. I hope you all enjoy it. XOXO, SehunsBae37.

Shut Up, I Love You

Jacob paused in his tinkering on his beloved Rabbit the moment he heard the familiar rumbling of the engine of a familiar red truck. So, it seemed like Bella finally found her way back to the Reservation since returning back home with her precious bloodsucker in tow. He had rejected all calls, texts, letters, and notes from her in her attempts to contact him, knowing it was bothering her as well as their fathers. Hell, it was bothering him too, but he was making a point here; at least, that's what he told himself. That point being he was letting Bella know that she couldn't just come rushing back and expecting everything to be normal again after stomping all over his heart. But in truth, it was really because he was hurt.

He and Bella had reconnected and gotten closer during the time the Cullens were gone, even when he had gone wolf and she knew what he was and was capable of. She had accepted him easily and unconditionally, and all that had done was make him like her all the more than he already did. And before long, that like had grown to love. He loved Bella, and he was positive that she loved him, too. He could feel it in his heart, something his Pack brothers didn't want him chasing after, but he didn't give a damn what they thought or believed. He loved Bella, had since childhood to be honest, and she loved him, but she was so stubborn and determined to hold onto her bloodsucker that she was hellbent on fighting her feelings. And just when it seemed like they were finally going to stop going in circles and she was finally going to take that step with him, those damn leeches stepped back into her life and sucked her right back in again.

Letting out a sigh, he got out from under his car and leant against it from his spot on the garage floor, waiting for the object of his affections to walk through those doors. It wasn't long before Bella stepped over the threshold and into his sanctuary; or rather, their sanctuary. Seeing him sitting there, obviously waiting for her, she gave him a sheepish smile and wave before saying almost lamely, "Hi Jake".

Shut up and let me tell you that I love you

You can't be serious

Jacob looked at her for a moment, not replying at first before finally saying, "Bella".

Bella flinched a bit at his somewhat harsh delivery of her name. She wondered if he even realized he had spoken it that way, almost in disgust. In truth, she wouldn't blame him if he did and was disgusted with her. Her best friend was upset with her for running off to save Edward after he begged her not to go. However, she had and in retaliation, he had revealed to her father that they had rebuilt motorcycles and had been riding them. As ridiculously childish as his actions had been to hurt her, she knew it in no way even amounted to how her simple action of leaving with Alice had hurt him. And she knew how it hurt him because she herself had known what her leaving meant as much as he did. She had chosen Edward over him.

Biting her lip, she said, "I don't know what to say."

"I don't want your half-assed apology if that's what you've come to give."

"...Jake, I'm sorry but...I had to go. I had to save Edward; I love him. I couldn't let him die."

"He's already dead, whether you want to believe it or not. He's been damned since the moment the doc sank his teeth into him."

"Don't say that."

"Why not? You know I'm right." Jacob stood up from his spot on the floor and stepped up to the brunette. Looking her in her face, he continued. "But since you're here, I don't want to talk about the leech. I want to talk about us."

Bella blinked in surprise at his statement. "Us? What about us?"

"About how there is something between us that you're hellbent on ignoring. About how I love you and-"

"You don't love me, Jake," Bella interrupted him. Even so, she didn't sound like she believed her own words. "You think you do, but-"

"Bella, shut up. Don't tell me about my own feelings. Just listen, will you? Let me tell you how I feel about you, how I've always felt about you."

She stared at him almost bewilderedly before asking, "Seriously?"

I'm getting sick of you telling me I don't

You really don't

You wouldn't know

Just let it go

"Yes, seriously. Bella, I've loved you since we were kids. From the moment you tripped and fell into my mud pies, I've loved you. Seeing how broken the leech left you was awful, but you were getting better, smiling again. You were my Bella again and I ended up loving you more. You can't make me stop loving you and I don't want to hear you deny my feelings in the sense of telling me I don't know how I feel."

Bella stared at him in shock, not knowing what to say. She wanted to deny Jacob's feelings, she didn't want to believe that he loved her. She knew if she believed and acknowledged them, it would change their whole entire dynamic, never mind the fact that they had already sort of stepped over that line. If she was honest, it'd be easier for her if Jacob would just let go of how he felt about her. That way, she wouldn't keep holding onto this guilt of leaving him to go save Edward. She loved Edward, but at the same time, she also knew how she felt about Jacob, and she knew it went beyond simple friendship. But if Jacob could forget about his feelings for her, no matter how deep he had just revealed them to be, then she could forget her own about him and focus on her love for Edward. After all, he was who she truly wanted...right?

Feeling like she suddenly needed space between them, she took a step back, wrapping her arms around her middle like she always did when she got anxious. Looking down at her feet, she took a few breaths to attempt to steady her suddenly fast beating heart before looking back up at him. Shaking her head, she told him, "You're holding onto your childhood crush for me. They're not your real feelings."

Jacob glared at her and asked rhetorically, "Didn't I just say don't tell me how I feel? I know what I'm feeling presently, Bella, and its not some simple childhood crush."

"Maybe, but it won't change anything. I love Edward, so it'd be best for you to just let it go."

Can I say I love you?

Please don't

And you love me to

It's nothing you can prove

Say you do

I don't

You will

I won't

As far as you know

Jacob huffed in frustration and suddenly yelled, "It's not that simple, Bella! You can't just tell me to forget how I feel! I love you and I-"

"Stop it! Stop saying you love me!" Bella shouted back at him, her arms by her side now and hands in fists, those fists shaking in frustration of her own.

"No! I love you, Bella, and I know that you love me too! You love me but you just won't admit it!"

Bella shook her head in denial. "No, I don't."

"You do, just like how I do. Deny it all you want, but you will eventually admit to yourself that you love me."

"I won't," Bella replied, though her conscience agreed with the Shifter. "And you can't love me."

Jacob blinked bewilderedly at her before asking, "Why not?"

"Because it wouldn't be fair."

"What? What are you talking about? Why would me loving you not be fair?"

Taking a deep breath, Bel!a closed hee eyes and answered, "Imprinting."

You're no help

What if my heart belongs to someone else?

Silence filled the air between them following Bella's statement. Imprinting. Jacob knew there was something holding Bella back from admitting that she loved and wanted him, and it couldn't have been just the bloodsucker. But now he knew what it was: Imprinting. When first introducing the concept to her, he had a feeling that it had frightened her somehow. She was afraid that he'd Imprint and forget about her, leaving her alone. Now it was making sense and why she ran back to Cullen. Once again, Bella was letting her fears rule her actions and in doing so, convincing herself of things she believed she wanted in order to not get hurt. But Bella didn't seem to understand, or was just ignoring, that no matter what, she was only hurting herself anyway.

Running a hand down his face, Jacob sighed before simply saying, "It won't happen. I'm not going to Imprint."

Bella looked up at him sadly saying, "But you will."

"I won't, not unless it's you, Bella. And I wish you'd stop pushing me away because of it."

"It's not just because of that. Jake, I love Edward. He's all I want, all I'll ever want, and my heart belongs to him."

Her small speech would have been convincing if Bella had made it sound so. In fact, she had tried, but Jacob knew her too well. Her words lacked the passion one would have declaring their love for the one they claimed to love. She sounded like she was trying to convince herself of her own words. Bella...Bella wasn't in love with the bloodsucker anymore, yet was still acting like and making herself believe she was. Realizing this, he felt hope begin to flair up in his heart.

I don't believe you

Good, 'cause it's not true

And by the way, I love you too

"No, you don't. You don't love him anymore, Bells. At least, not how you've convinced him and are trying to convince yourself that you do."

His words slammed into her chest, causing Bella to stiffen. She opened her mouth to deny his words and defend her love for Edward, but nothing came out. She couldn't think of anything to say, so instead snapped her mouth shut and shoved her hands in her pockets.

Seeing he had her, Jacob continued talking. "You may be able to fool everyone else, even yourself, but you can't fool me. I love you, and I'm your best friend. I know you better than the leech ever could and you know that. I know how you really feel at times and how you feel about certain things. And there is one thing that I'm absolutely certain of concerning you."

Closing the space between them, he took hold of her hands and looked deep into those chocolate eyes that he loved. Finding what he was looking for, he simply said, " You love me."

Bella stared back at him, her heart racing in her chest. She knew coming to the Reservation to see Jacob would probably result with him confronting her, and it had, but not like how she had expected. She hadn't expected him to declare his love for her, as well as voice her hidden feelings for him. And while she wanted to deny it and say she didn't love him back, her heart wouldn't allow her to. In coming to salvage her friendship with Jacob, she had also let it be known without saying so that she felt the same way he did, even with her denying it. And truthfully, there was no point in denying her heart's true feelings anymore. Jacob was right all along; she loved him, too.

Gently taking his face in her hands, she stood on her toes and replied, "Shut up, Jake."

With nothing left to say in that moment, she pressed her lips against his in a sweet kiss. Wrapping his arms around her, Jacob returned the kiss eagerly, a passion behind the kiss that Bella had never felt with Edward before. Breaking the kiss, they stared into each other's eyes suddenly feeling the world shift and slow down around them until time seemed to stop. They saw a future starring them together, a shared future, one full of love and hope and togetherness. And before long, the world sped up again in real time, though Bella and Jacob continued staring into each others' eyes. Soon, Jacob grinned and kissed the brunette once more before telling her, "I don't think you'll have to worry about me Imprinting anymore, Bells."

Bella smiled and nodded in agreement, kissing him softly before saying, "Yeah, you're right."

A muffled buzzing was heard, the sound coming from Bella's cell phone in her back pocket. Knowing it was either Edward or Alice calling, Bella sighed and said, "Alice must have seen my future disappear completely. I should probably go and tell them things have changed."

"I'll go with you; we'll tell them together," Jacob told her.

"Okay, but...Jake, I have to tell you about Italy and what happened. You won't like it, you'll even be mad at me, but I have to tell you. It's rather serious, more than you think."

Seeing the seriousness in her eyes, Jacob knew whatever happened on her rescue mission was bad and knew she had probably been backed into a corner. And while he may not like what he would hear, he also knew he'd do whatever it took to protect her. She was his Imprint, but he loved her before it and always would. Taking her hand, Jacob gave it a reassuring squeeze before saying, "Whatever it is, we'll face it together, Bells. I love you, honey."

Bella smiled and replied, "I love you, too."

Hand in hand, they walked to Bella's truck to head over to the Cullen mansion. It had taken a while, but Bella finally admitted that she loved her best friend. And that admittance placed her back on her natural path in life. She knew consequences would have to be faced for her past choices, but she now realized she'd do it all again if it led her back to Jacob. And all it took was for her to shut her mind up and listen to her heart. And she knew that no matter what she faced in the future, as long as Jacob was by her side, she would be able to face anything.
